sort of a happy vent appreciation ramble related to rcp? uhh not sure what to exactly call this but here goes.

wow. i've been liking robocar poli since, what, since i was a kid? yeah, i loved this show to death and i still do. i remember watching it on this local indonesian tv channel (rtv) and i'd always be eager to watch it whenever it came on. since i watched it on local television it was always in indonesian, and being more fluent in english, it wasn't the most ideal but i took what i could get, and once i got ahold of a dvd that was in english i was ecstatic.

i had toys of all 4 of the main cast, unfortunately most of them were given away, but i kept amber (since she was my favorite ofc). she's actually in my room rn as i write this lol. i would go search on google or youtube to find robocar poli fan media and that's when i found out about the fan community. i found fanart and fanfiction (which was probably my first exposure to fanfiction entirely??) and i loved it. but as a kid i didn't really interact that much with them aside from some comments here and there

i had seen some of the rcp content on tumblr before i got tumblr, except i didn't actually see it on tumblr it was on some sketchy site called tumbik where you could see tumblr posts without logging in, but there were pop up ads and weird accounts displayed on the side(s?) lmaooo. but when i actually got tumblr i was excited to interact with more rcp fans and see all the content for it! and boy, have i met some really wonderful people

our fandom may not be the biggest one but its fanbase has so much love and dedication to it, i can confirm. all the aus, writings, art, roleplays, etc have so much passion behind them and i admire it. i don't think roi visual even knows how much this fandom loves this childrens' cartoon they made.

i've grown along with this cartoon and its fandom and it puts a smile on my face to know that we all share the same passion, and how the fandom cares for each other

functional households makes you voluntarily eat fruit.

For context; i never eat a lot at my own house. Living in a dysfunctional household i learned quickly to associate the kitchen/ dining room with vulnerability. An open space where i can be attacked at any moment (mostly my mother) with unnecessary passive aggression, so im never in the kitchen for longer than necessary and i certainly don’t sit down having a lovely time eating fruit. (we all know the passive aggressive „oh look someones finally healthy blabla“)

but im at my father‘s house for the holidays and omg! the amount i ate! And im not talking Christmas dinner stuff since we dont celebrate but just normal dining

No what i mean is i just saw a mango and thought sure why not and now im sitting here at the dinner table eating mango and chillin without fear my father would come and say some judgy shit. Like the amount of vitamins im having rn is more than my entire intake last month.

As it turns out a peaceful home makes your kids eat fruit and not let it wither away because they see existing in open space as a threat. Which also has the side effect of you not having to scold your kids for letting it rot perpetuating the idea that it’s not safe outside their rooms in the first place.

anyways happy holidays and eat mango they are actually tasty.

"dude."

The Hero rolled his eyes, looking exasperated as he bounced his baby close to his chest. "I don't need that! Yes, I know, I know! I let myself go, I'm a mess, I smell like shit, well guess what- babies shit!" Hero was erratic and close to tears.

The Villain just stared. "...Dude."

"Can you please stop that."

"I'm just in disbelief" he shrugged, not knowing what emotion to convey. "you just look so..." he gestured to the hero's whole being, unsure of what words to use either.

The hero sighed and plopped down on the messy and suspiciously stained couch accompanied by the baby's equally as erratic crying as she continued squirming in her dad's lap. "Look- she just left so suddenly! and I don't know what to do! The Hero Association is up my ass about my absence and I can't keep a babysitter longer than a few hours and-" the hero quickly joined his daughter in crying. Like father like daughter the villain thought.

"Rose left you?" he asked, forgetting himself.

The hero sniffled as he continued bouncing his baby uncomfortably on his knee.

"What happened?" the villain pressed. Hero put on a very empathetic apathetic face.

"Mmm. Something about... a firefighter...or something..." He sniffled, unable to finish his sentence.

Yes, it's true the villain didn't want to ruin the mysterious and alluring person he was supposed to be...but come on.

"Jesus- I- ugh just give me the baby." he finally said.

"What?! No!" the hero instinctively held the baby closer.

"stopfuckingscreamingjesuschrist" he snarled (quietly). The hero's eyebrows knitted as if he had no clue why he was handing over his baby to the villain. The villain took the tiny bundle of joy and began rocking her in his arms slowly trying to soothe the little thing.

"When's the last time she ate?" he asked, eyes locked on the baby.

"Like five minutes ago! She doesn't need a diaper change either!" the hero whispered with urgency. The villain rolled his eyes, solution painfully obvious. "I don't know what to do. She's been like this for hours-" he stopped suddenly.

Silence.

The baby was sleeping and the villain raised an eyebrow at him. For a split second, hero thought he'd cry again. "How did you do that?" he mouthed.

"My wife is pregnant with our third." he answered, taking a bow out of the baby's hair and wiping her tears.

The hero's eyes widened as he stared at his baby. His award-winning smile finally reappeared. Unable to utter anything else he whispered "Please help me."

After months, the villain finds the hero, but upon arriving at his home, he discovers the hero in a stained robe, baby food splattered, huge dark circles under his eyes, and a non-stop crying baby. The only thing the hero says is, “My wife left me.”
