what if abby invited you to friendsgiving with nora, jordan, leah and manny and the salt lake crew (tho it’s kinda awks if/when owen and mel arrive) and it’s the first time you’re meeting the whole gang!! like you know manny and nora cause they are abby’s besties but meeting them all and having a Meal with them!!! oh you’d be so nervous and trying on a million things and abby has to calm you down with her hands running up and down your shoulders.

you decide to bring a,,, Blueberry Pie and it’s a big hit and manny is at your feet asking for you to make him his own personal pie.

and you and nora and leah get excitedly loud at the table while talking about what movie you guys are gonna watch after desert.

and abby is just love!! sick!! watching you be with her people. cause you’re her Person!!!

later, when you guys go home and you’re whining about how full you are as you climb into her bed, she can’t help but say i told you so

it doesn't quite look like a holiday party from here, but what I imagined as a humble little piece is~~ Ciel and Lizzy sneak away from the big bustling midford Christmas party and raid the kitchen desserts, like they did when they were kids(it was Lizzy's idea, Ciel clearly hasn't been himself since he returned, and she wanted to bring him back).

Tinies in the cold

It’s very cold today, we got the first big snow of the holiday season and that made me want to write a g/t winter related story:

One of my favorite tropes is when a giant finds a tiny, stuck out in the cold. It creates a perfect situation where the tiny is vulnerable and helpless, not because they are weak or incapable, but because they have been trapped out in a world that is huge, hostile, and cruel.

Thanks to square cube law, their small bodies actively struggle to maintain heat, and their body sinks into snowdrift too high for them to climb.

They live in a world so big that they are slowly being drained away by it, as their body heat is taken by the endless expanse of a world too large and uncaring to accommodate them, a world that wants only to dim whatever light and beauty they brought into the world.

Imagine someone in this situation, at the most vulnerable they’ve ever been, as suddenly, a huge shadow passes overhead.

Here is something so much bigger, a terrifying being that seems to belong to the cruel world around it. And as the being picks them up, they know that this is their end, caught between the slow, ebbing death of the snow below, and the threat of an enclosing fist larger than themselves.

But, instead of being crushed instantly, as they thought they would, they find themselves dangling and weightless before being placed in the front of the giants coat, close against their chest.

Now, they are caught between a hand larger than themselves, and a heart that sounds as large as they are thumping against them, each beat breathing both warmth and life back to their body.

The giants pulsing heartbeat is a response to their vulnerability. They saw the tiny helpless, and was filled with an ache in their chest, and an intense desire to shield them from the unfeeling cold of the universe, to take them away from a world that cared not for the precious soul within.

Square cube law is their friend. Their own immense warmth sinks into the tiny, returning strength to their limbs, reviving them back from the brink. By using their strength to shield the tiny, they have helped return to the tiny the strength they possessed before.

The tiny is still somewhat vulnerable, held gently within their fist, but now, via their compassion, they’ve retuned to them the strength they’ve always possessed within them, the strength that allowed them to stand on their own two feet and the strength they’ve honed from surviving in a world made for beings far larger and terrible than they. They took the tinies helplessness and melted it away with the force of their own heart. To the tiny, it appears as if this giant being, against all reason, cared enough to save something as small and inconsequential as them from the unflinching apathy of their own vast world.

But all the giant sees is the return of the light to their eyes, and the returning embers of a soul that, despite the tiny body it inhabits, if loved correctly, has the power to grow into a flame that casts its own light into the universe around it.

This holiday season has the potential to be hard for many people. The world we live in treats people differently, especially when times get hard. In the coming dark times, please be kind and use your light to help others who may be struggling. If we help light enough of each others candles, the entire world will be a bit brighter.

Monkeys and their wife giving each other presents? 🎁

Tis the season for giving🥰

(Lmk Wukong) Well he'll always love every you give him, his eyes would show nothing but pure joy and excitement. Your gift to him was a handmade monkey king doll, making him tear up at how cute this is. He then gave you the gift of a pretty necklace he made just for you, you would both smile and share a hug🫂.

(MKR Wukong) He tends to blush whenever you surprise him with a gift but he loves it. You gave him a bracelet letting him know that you will always love and support. He made it his most precious treasure making sure nobody ever touched it, never taking it off either. What he got for you a pretty ring he stolen of the body of a scrub demon he beat up😆

(NR Wukong) This old monkey man gets excited about whatever you surprise him with, he's always getting you some kind of gift like a pair of earrings or a Purchase of your favorite movie. Now one day you have surprised him with tickets to see a motorcycle show in other city making him squeal and smother your face in kisses😘.

(HIB Wukong) Ohhhhhhhhhh you gave him a painting of the you and the whole family together. You, Him, Luier, Silly girl and even Pigsy all together smiling being so happy together. He was so teary eyed and happy with this surprise, he wouldn't be sure what to give you at all but he then gave you a paint set for you to make more of those beautiful creations🥰.

(Netflix Wukong) He would act all high and mighty, making a big show of it, but deep down, he was deep touched that you got him a present just for him. You had given him a small bracelet, and he never takes it off as it's a precious and beautiful gift for him from you. Wukong definitely didn't know what to give you, but so far, he came up with a small bouquet of flowers to give you making you smile and kiss his face.

(BMW Wukong) Man when is he not over here showing you with gifts and treasures, it make it almost impossible for you to find something to gift him in return. One day you finally came up with something to give him, you had knitted him a peach comforter blanket for the cold months. Wukong had a quite the look of surprise especially when it had peach patterns, but that man forever kelp it for save keeping 😁

(Destined one) He would lightly smile at the small monkey trinket he was given, it was of his little blank face. The Destined one made sure to cherish his gift as its a token of your deep love for him. With how often he travels, he's definitely gonna find the perfect gift for you, and what he got you was a mini hair clip that you had in your fur ever since😊

feels like christmas.

Pairing: Reader x Jaehyun AU: Husband!Jaehyun, Dad!Jaehyun, Domestic, Christmas Genre: Fluff Summary: A short peek into the holiday season with Jaehyun and his family. Also an epilogue for these summer lovers.

"There we go, let's place that one right here." You whisper out, helping the little girl place the cookie dough onto the baking sheet.

She furrowed her eyebrows in concentration before breaking out in a bright smile upon seeing her gingerbread safely among the other Christmas shapes. You wipe some flour from her dark hair that's pulled back, "Can I eat the rest of the dough?" She looks at you expectantly.

"Fa la la la la," You both turn to the entrance of the kitchen seeing your husband enter the room singing along to the Christmas music playing on the radio. Bouncing a small baby in his arms he comes closer to look at the baking.

"Daddy," your daughter says, "These are our cookies for Santa." She points excitedly and he gasps to appease her, "How amazing are these." He hovers behind you both looking at the arrangement of trees, reindeer, and gingerbread. You reach to grab your son from his arms, smiling as he yawns, still warm from his bath and cuddled in his Christmas pajamas. Kissing his forehead and tucking him into your arms as your husband helps your daughter off the counter.

Watching as he places the sheet in the oven, you speak up, "Jaehyun, someone wants to eat the rest of the cookie dough." You nod your head to the little girl who gives him a smile she has learned he cannot refuse.

He laughs, reaching for the counter and pulling a piece of dough before handing it to her, "Here lovie, eat this and then let's get you in the bath so we can get ready for bed before Santa comes."

Only an hour later and you were cuddled into the couch, your son sleeping peacefully on your chest as he suckles on his pacifier. Jaehyun and your daughter sat in front of the fireplace, her cuddled into his lap as he reads from a Christmas book.

In quiet moments like these you think how far your life has come. It seems only yesterday you were a young college student falling in love with Jaehyun over summers.

But it's been many years now, and your summer boy is yours year-round; that summer feeling here to stay for good.

Though at the time you craved that feeling of summer that the boy brought, some things have changed. Since those days Jaehyun and you have married and settled down. A cozy house, a determined 4-year daughter, and curious 4 month old son. Your small family seemed to fit together perfectly.

Since your daughter had been born, you started to crave a different feeling. The peacefulness of winter. The calmness of the holidays with your families. Cozy fires, falling snow, Christmas carols, wrapping presents, making traditions. Seeing how magical your kids find the season.

It seems as though time slows for you around Christmas and your heart swells during this time every year.

"Mommy," You break your trance to see your daughter as approached you on the couch, "It's time to sleep before Santa comes," She states with a yawn and you give her a smile, running your hand over her hair. "Go on, I'll be right there."

She scurries down the hall, her pajama dress flowing around her. "You okay?" Jaehyun asks as he folds the blanket and places it back on the couch. You nod, careful of your son, "Yes, was just thinking." He stands over you, running a hand over your son's hair before doing the same to you, "About what?"

"About how happy I am." You whisper out, "I love you. I love our family. I love doing the holidays with you." He smiles at your confession, leaning to kiss your lips softly, "I love you. I love this." He whispers back before standing straight again.

Your kids would go to bed now and you would get to spend the night in your own secret traditions with Jaehyun. Traditions being parents brought to you. Traditions you wouldn't change for the world.

Then you would awake in the morning to see how excited your daughter was Christmas morning. Basking in the magic through her. You would go to spend the rest of the day with your parents, your brother Johnny, and his own family, and Jaehyun's parents.

You couldn't think of anything more perfect, and your heart felt as warm as the fire.

"Feels good, doesn't it?" Jaehyun asks, eyes lovingly taking you in. You nod in return, "Yeah, it feels like Christmas."
