“Lovefool” is track #7 on The Cardigans’s third album First Band on the Moon. “Lovefool” was the song that propelled The Cardigans to international stardom. US listeners took notice when it was featured on the soundtrack to Baz Luhrmann’s William Shakespeare’s Romeo + Juliet, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes. The song topped the Billboard Hot 100 Airplay and Top 40 Mainstream, but was kept from the Hot 100 because it was not issued as a commercial single (until December 1998, songs were not eligible to chart on the Hot 100 until they got released as single in the US). Nina Persson penned the lyrics for this song, while Peter Svensson wrote the music. Nina was sitting in an airport waiting for a plane when she was inspired to write the song and thought it would have a “slow bossa nova feel.” She told The Swedish Performing Rights Society: “I do find that the biggest hits are the ones that are the easiest to write”. Peter recalled writing the music for this song in an interview with The Independent: “To me, that song is still that moment when I wrote it in a small room, sitting on my bed in our home town. It was supposed to be some kind of a bossa nova: a totally different song, slow and mellow and sad. The production on it, though, and the disco drums made it all shinier."

it's very very VERY obvious in ive right now, i think even people who don't stan ive can see the favouritism in that group. i love ive, i think their music is amazing and so so catchy. love dive is such a BOP but when they first started performing eleven live, the company/stylists were not putting all of the girls in the same outfits, like they were veeeery clearly putting wonyoung in other clothes to stand out more </3 even though they don't do it as much anymore, you can still see & feel how they favour her more than the other members (and that's not her fault at all). i just want those girls to have equal love <3

Dear Miko,

 I am totally aware you send your letter for my birthday, yet, even if I'm currently retired from the musical industry, willing to enjoy my time with my family, I'm still a very busy man. This is why my answer took so long to come. If my estimations are correct, you should receive this letter for the holidays season. To be honest, I don't usually answer the many letters I still receive, but I must say yours caught my attention. Mainly because you were speaking about bass guitars and about your vivid interest for this, yet still very underrated but amazing instrument.

 I'm glad to see the Beatles had been in your life at some point. You seem to be quite aware of Queen's musical influences, so I guess it is quite useless to say this very band had a huge influence upon our music. Even if back then, you owed an acoustic guitar, I am convinced it was a very good start to practice and train your fingers.

 As you may also know, I did not participate in the production of the movie about my dearest friend Freddie, but even if I live away from this business, I am aware Bohemian Rhapsody has been a huge success and gladly it brought many things in people's life. As you mentioned it, you met fellow fans, with whom I am certain you can share this passion you now have for the band. But, this movie hopefully brought back music in people's life. In so many way, I think this would certainly be very hard to mention them all.

 For you, and I am very flattered you chose this very instrument, it was bass guitar. You say yours was pre-owned but Precision bass is still an excellent choice. I am not sure I can say you are an absolute beginner but these are the best to start with. And also, this was the kind of instrument I really loved to play with, when recording or touring with Queen. I guess you must be learning many of the band's riff on bass and precision bass will give you the range you need to play most of them.

 Music is not something you can count, not something you can date. It belongs to everyone, as long as they need it, as long as they enjoy it. You seem to be enjoying playing bass guitar really much and this is all that matters.

 To finish this letter, I am really grateful for all the kind compliments. Yes Queen is inspiring and this is beautiful to see that in a way, people find a passion in music. I am sure you think I brought many things in your life, but it was music above all. And it will carry on bringing you many lovely things.
