Looking Back At February 6 2024 ♪〜Movie, Dresses And Shoulder Bones〜

The other day, I went to see the movie "Golden Kamuy" with a friend 😊I received a special git at the cinema! A panel drawn by the original creator＼＼\\٩( 'ω' )و //／／ I was so happy because I didn't expect to get something like this! 😍 The girl I went with is a big fan of the original work, actually, she is such a hardcore fan that she and her husband have even gone on a proper pilgrimage to Abashiri which is a place from the manga. I also enjoyed the manga so I decided to go and watch the film with her! The visuals were so powerful and the music was so wonderful that (despite the fairly fantasy-like setting) I felt a strange sense of reality that made me cry many times... It was the first time I watched a movie at the cinema since ``The Boy and the Heron'', I had a lot of fun! 😆 (By the way, the girl who went with me was the same friend who went with me when I watched “The Boy and the Heron” for the second time♪) Being at the movie theater for the first time in a long while got me really excited, initially, I only wanted to get some oolong tea at the snack bar but then, I ended up with all of this😂 How did this happen? When I looked at the menu, I got really excited 🤣I got a large popcorn and a hot dog *laughs*

I couldn't finish the giant popcorn and had to take it home *laughs* I quietly stuffed my mouth with the hot dog before the film had even begun🤤 Even though I had told myself that it would be better to wait until the film was over to avoid getting tired...🥺 Such a fickle nature🥺(Thankfully the movie was so interesting that I didn't feel sleepy at any point)

Now, I would like to talk a little about my “Wakana 5th Anniversary “Prologue” ~Premium Online Live~” which was held on February 6th! Here I am together with Saku-chan who joined me on the piano 😊We also made sure to take a picture where we look a bit cool📸 With this premium online live I celebrated a milestone, the 5th anniversary of my solo debut. I wanted to start my celebrations together with everyone from my fan club! For some reason, those five years actually feel like a longer time... or rather, it feels like a lot more years have passed already. I included the entire “journey” from my solo debut up until now in the setlist!

There are songs from my 1st album "Wakana", my 2nd album "magic moment", my EP "Aki no Sakura" and my 3rd album "Sono Saki e"! I ended up cramming in as much as possible since I wanted to create a setlist that would allow me to look back on the past 5 years.😊 During my MCs I tried to express my feelings from each period, hopefully I was able to share some fresh thoughts with you.

I once again realized that the "chat" may be the best part of an online live performances! At live performances with an actual on-site audience it's not really possible to have a real conversation, but online, everyone can talk about all sorts of things. Of course, even if there are no words exchanged between us, I know that people are watching and supporting me but I always feel very relieved when people say a lot of things in the chat (*´- `) It's honestly so reassuring to know that everyone is watching and listening (^-^)

Despite all of that, my surprise lyric mishaps keep happening, whether it's been 5 years or 15 years, I will never get rid of those...😂Why? ? 😂 I could really feel everyone's surprise and kindness from the chat messages, it was a special sense of gratitude that I probably couldn't experience at a live performances with an on-site audience. Thank you again to everyone who watched and supported me! ! My 5th Anniversary celebrations have only just begun. At my upcoming band live on May 12th, I would like to have the time to reflect even more on the past five years ! Details will be posted soon! Lastly, I would like to post some pictures of my dress from February 6th 😆This is the same dress I wore on the cover of my 1st album "Wakana"♪ I also wore it during the encore for my ``VOICE'' tour, at that time, it was altered a bit so it would work better for a live performance 😍 I had my hair down, which is quite unusual for me ♡ The makeup artist also added some sparkling hairpins 😍

I always wonder why my shoulder bones are so prominent...🤣 I think it's a skeletal issue because I am pretty sure not everyone's shoulder looks like that, right? 😂 I don't have any particular pain or problems in this area but I always feel like there's just a lot of bone sticking out. I envy people with smoother shoulders🥺

Anyway, I'm glad I was able to fit into a dress from 5 years ago ･:*+.\(( °ω° ))/.:+ For some reason, that got me super excited! 😂😂 Easy peasy🤗 Yay!

but yes, i think that was my step towards becoming a wannabe writer hehe. cant really remember but man, has it really been a year already??? feels like so much time had passed. what started out as a simple funky blog to read and like and repost fics somehow turned into such a big work with a lot of support and love. there were some moments when authors block became a little bit too much but i decided to keep going and continue this little funky blog bc wow, ppl are liking my writing.

I knew what I was talking about when I wrote that Photographer Saeran AU, and I am vindicated tonight. Saeran getting into photography is something that really warms my heart and makes me choke up. Saeran could never see things when he was a kid... going outside was always a rare treat, and through a photograph of something, he could see anything. But, if he gets to take photos now that he’s free... not only is he able to always treasure the memory of visiting a place with a lot of beauty, he can share those photos with other people who suffered just like he and Saeyoung did. 

I’m so happy to see Saeyoung here, too. He’s just beaming at the camera as he gets to spend time with his brother without fear anymore. Yoosung and Zen are waving at the MC like dorks as usual, and it’s nice to see them shining. Jaehee and Jumin are both a vision of delight. They all seem really happy, and I’m just so happy to see them shine. I wonder if there’s penguins around... Saeyoung, I need you to show us the secret Penguin dance you learned!

Mystic Messenger 6th Anniversary

I woke up a little late today so you can imagine my surprise when the photo was already out and people were posting it out in the open. However, I had to take a few minutes to collect myself and cry after I saw the photo because it struck me so quickly and hard that my heart couldn’t help but weep. Happy Six Years, RFA. I’m happy to be here with you. Let’s get into it and have our breakdown together for the day.

Now, if you pay close attention to the background of the photo, you’ll notice that there’s CGs from every route. Every character has a portrait on the wall that is a reflection of their relationship with MC. The only photo that isn’t actually clear to me on the wall is the photo from Yoosung’s Route. I can see the outline of that frame but I don’t have enough detail to guess what photo they wanted to use for him. I’ve been hunting the clearest photo I can find of this title screen but this is the only one that’s clear to me enough to reveal details.

I’m doing my best over here since it just came out! Hopefully, we’ll get clearer photos as the day progresses. You don’t know how badly I need to change my icon to this photo. You don’t even know. Anyway, I’ll show you photos that are used in the background if you’re not able to see them! There’s a mixture of the birthday photos and route photos.

The New Year (2023)!

Hi there and happy new year! 

I'm back after a short break for the holidays! As of writing, I've been maintaining my blog on my own website for over a year. I've grown that blog by extending it out to a newsletter and a Tumblr. Happy anniversary to the blog and let's get to it! This one's going to be pretty personal and then next week I'll get back to talking about comics, storytelling, the not-so-secret life of an editor, and pressing issues of social and societal import! 

Being self-reflective, the transition from one year to another is a complicated time. It is the period when what has been and what could be really collide and force one to define what is. 

I tried to get out of a little bit of that by posting a whole week into the year, but honestly, that feeling's still coming for me. Professionally and creatively, that transition feels like a bit of a metamorphosis as I transition from what I've been doing to what I hope to do. While there are plenty of constants being maintained, things like Sonic which I've now been working on for 5 years (and which will soon have been releasing for 5 years), I've also recently said goodbye to Transformers and hello to Godzilla as an editor. This time last year, the last issue of TF Wreckers was about to be released and I knew I had at least a little bit of other writing work in the hopper. This time this year, I don't have any releases currently scheduled, and yet, I'm hoping/already in some ways planning for this year to have my highest writing output yet. I am a writer and an editor and I want both sides to feel equally nurtured. 

For a long time, I haven't really made resolutions with the new year. Not because I feel the distinction of years is arbitrary or I don't believe I'll stick to them or anything.More, the goals I was already setting for myself existed outside the scope of the year change and so it wouldn't feel genuine to call them resolutions when they were pre-existing. And this year, for the first time, I have some. I'm not going to share them in full--a few people close to me know, but they're personal and outside the scope of the transparency I usually try to provide. But it's an interesting feeling having some "resolutions" and, like so many people, at least right now, they're energizing me even when other things aren't. 

The other part of the new year, of course, is reflecting on the previous year. What you did, what you enjoyed, the moments big and small and that seemed so important, but were quickly forgotten. Fortunately, through the blessing of a blog, here's some of the stuff that I was reminded I did proudly in 2022.

I got engaged to Rebecca Ann. They're my best friend and favorite person and I love them. 

I launched a website and a blog that posted *nearly* weekly and made a few sales. 

I went to WonderCon, Tucson Comic-Con, San Diego Comic-Con, and a ton of smaller events around CA. 

I released multiple Transformers comics that I wrote, including finally getting to contribute to Beast Wars, a lifelong dream. 

I saw my sister graduate high school. 

I made some weird little drawings and comics for myself, many of them posted here. 

I wrote more than I probably ever have, though there's plenty of it that'll likely never see the light of day. 

I ended up in the top 0.1% of Lizzo listeners on Spotify for the second year in a row. I don't know that this is actually as momentous an accomplishment as some of these other things, but it is funny. 

I somehow managed to do a little bit of traveling, spent a lot of time with family, and had some very rough moments in crowded places without getting sick. 

I saw Transformers to it's end with some of the best TF books of all time. 

I hit a milestone issue, #50, with Sonic and then kept going and have a lot more to come. 

I made progress on various other deals and titles that you'll be finding out more about from IDW in the weeks and months to come. 

I met various other professional goals in creating comics I'm proud of and working with some of the greatest creators ever to practice the craft. 

I was a good cat dad. 

I made new friends. 

I tried really, really hard to find a balance that works for me between work and life and the ways that so many of my interests and hobbies overlap with my job. I'm not sure I've quite got it down just yet, but I'm getting there. 

I also, liked a ton of stuff! So, if you're maybe new here for one reason or another, here's your chance to get an idea of what sort of stuff I like and if you like it too, maybe we can talk.

It’s been 24 years since the Second Wizard War at Hogwarts. The famous Battle of Hogwarts, were many beloved characters died. This day is always been a day of remembrance and used be a hard day for me personally as my favorite character Severus Snape had been killed this day as well. But today I don’t feel sad, I feel actually okay and a little happy because this day has now became even more important to me. It was already so important to me, but now I have a a good memory for when I get sad on this day. A year ago on this day of usual sadness, I meet a rather practical person. I never thought they were going would became a important to me. I never thought in general I would find another person online that would became one my best friends. This person has made possible a Roleplay that I always have wanted to do and never thought possible. We have our ups and downs like ever friendship. But it is learning as we go and it been a roller coaster. I’m glad meet this person. They taught me a lot. Happy one year of friendship anniversary to the one and only, Mo or other words @trash-000.

And happy 24 years to all my Potterheads. Have a self care day. You deserve it. We will remember this day. Always.

My #1 post of 2022

So Doctor Who is making Thasmin canon. I don’t know how to feel about that. It hard to see Doctor with someone other then River and Rose. I still wanted River to meet 13th. But I don’t think it will happen. Which is sad. I hated Clara. I never shipped her with The Doctor. But Yaz, she is great and does show her emotions for the Doctor, that she true does love her. She does remind me of a little of River. But not a lot. She is her own person. Anyone else having a hard time with it? I don’t want to seem like a hater. I never shipped them in the first place. I didn’t want them to be thing. But now it is and it is showing representation. Everyone thought they won’t do it. But the BBC did. I’m glad. I’m open to anyone telling me how they feel about it? No hate. Respect ships. As long as it not illegal.

Dan really knew all along. I love him to pieces.

happy one year anniversary to my blog!! 🎉 this is a lil special smth smth that i whipped up last minute because i definitely didn't forget that it's been a year already. p.s. i know nothing about the bachelor aside from the basic stuff. also this is VERY VERY FLUFFY, so very much not like what we actually see on the bachelor shows.

note: this doesn't reflect the guys or how they are in real life. i also don't know them, these are just imagines. also at some point, i lost the plot so this is also highkey just skz on dates.

eight guys, one rose, one chance to pick. although the show started as trash reality TV and nothing more than a quick cash cow, you didn't want to leave it all to the producers' whims. you wanted to think about the choice clearly, wanting to get to know each contestant and hoping you'll be able to choose the person you may actually establish a relationship with (no matter how unrare and unrealistic). still, you wanted to see if you could become the exception and not the rule. besides, what do you have to lose?

or alternatively, how stray kids would take you on a date while on national TV whilst trying to win your heart. who's getting the rose?

immediately what came to mind is a sunset beach date with him holding his cute lil ukelele and singing your favorite songs to you.

just giving very much giddy and shy high schooler vibes.

the sneaking glances, the dimpley smiles, the soft and warm giggles.

something fun and thrilling. like maybe an amusement park date.

changbin is really attuned to his childlike energy so i can imagine just you two being excited the whole time to ride on the attractions, play the fair games, and buy souvenirs.

you two would probably wear matching theme park headbands.

the whole date is such an easy way to let loose, you two don't even notice that you have your arms linked the whole time or whenever you buy snacks, you automatically just feed each other.

will probably love being in the souvenir shop with you.

happy anniversary to my beloved enhypen! i'm so delighted to witness their first anniversary as an engene <33 and it's exactly been a month since i started my blog so happy monthsary to me!

"the eu, including countries such as china and brazil have soups(?) from 5 countries..." sunghoon made his entrance by narrating something together with eunji who was holding a tray of pastries.

"what are you saying?" eunji confusingly looked at sunghoon then chuckled. "pastries~" she beamed as she put down the tray with full of pastries on the table.

"i'm currently a freshmen college student in a culinary school somewhere." eunji muttered on her interview.

"and i'm the only girl here in this boarding house." she added.

"my mom also. how can you forget about the owner of this house? you want to get out of here?" jungwon, who's at the back commented and the others chuckled.

"oh, sorry, my mistake. i meant the youngest girl here in this boarding house." eunji laughed shyly.

"you're a culinary student? did you baked all of this?" jungwon asked eunji about the pastries.

eunji was caught off guard and it took a moment for her to answer. "yeah..."

all of them laughed by how long she thought of her answer and it turns out to be just only a "yeah".

"someone made this, don't you?" sunghoon asked her with busan accent.

it took a moment again when eunji answered. "yeah..."

"there's also someone who keeps on breaking other's things. i'm so close on thinking if it's intended or not." jake complained then looked at eunji's direction. she looked away because she was guilty about jake's concern.

"someone's feeling guilty~" sunoo giggled.

"i'm not." eunji cutely shook her head.

"yeah, last week, she borrowed my sweater that i just bought recently and then later on, it already has a chocolate stain." sunghoon complained also.

"but the good thing is, she'll bought you a new one which is much prettier." jay chuckled.

they all agreed on that and it made eunji somehow relieved. she really doesn't intend to break their things, it's just that she's a clumsy and careless person.

"i was about to say that. that's why i don't get mad when eunji broke my stuffs because i know she'll buy me another one." heeseung laughed.

"eunji, you can keep on breaking my things." sunghoon joked that made eunji laugh and smack his arm.

"eunji noona always insists on watching a particular romance movie. the movie is really great but since we already watched it a lot of times, i got sick of it." jungwon said his concern.

"she has nothing to suggest but that only one movie." jay added.

"i don't like romance." jake shook his head.

"why are you always complaining about me? do you want me to expose something about the seven of you?" eunji pointed.

all of them paused and looked at eunji. sensing that eunji might really say something, they immediately tried to stop her. it was a chaos.

"no, don't!" sunoo screamed.

"don't say anything!" jay hugged eunji to stop her from talking.

"don't. don't." sunghoon panicked.

"okay, okay. we'll stop complaining about you noona." jungwon chuckled.

"it's been a year since i lived with them so i know almost everything." eunji laughed mischievously.

the boys can be seen watching eunji carefully, scared that she really might spill something.

Happy birthday undertale!

Man, the 5 anniversary for undertale is already here! I feels like it’s been forever since last year. I mean, can you believe I started this blog a year ago? I can’t at all.

So, last year I personally thanked all of my favorite undertale artists, blogs, and writers for being here and making my day every time they post. So, I’d like to do this again, but maybe less people, because I follow a lot more people now, I want to give a longer thank you to them, and if I’d list them all this will be too long.

@askfallenroyalty your writing always hits you in the face, and before you can even get up, you get knocked down again. You make every characters feeling as much as important as the other, and you don’t forget anything important in your story. You combined deltarune and undertale so perfectly, how can you not read this? You don’t try to make every update perfect, but that’s what so good about it.

@shattereddreamsau I was sad when you said the comic was going down, because I would wait for every update, make an alarm and read it patiently, and now that it’s over I don’t know what to do. But I respect your reasons, and I will not remember it by the fact that it’s over, but by the fact that it’s here, and I enjoyed every second of reading it.

Yes, you were the first blog I followed on tumblr, and not only that, you made me download the app looking for more content! Your analysis posts are what I was mourning the most with the end of bad buddy (except for bb itself of course) so I am beyond glad to see you continue with Enchanté!!

I'm still pretty new to this fandom (I basically started watching right before the infamous curtain drop) and I've never interacted with anyone here before, I'm usually just on the sidelines 😅 so I'm sorry if you've already mentioned this before but have you written your colour analysis for other fandoms or do you plan to?

Hey, and welcome to the fandom! I still feel pretty much like a newbie to the fandom on tumblr - since I didn't start posting about my love of the genre till the infamous bad buddy ep 5 pt 4 scene (despite having a blog here since 2010) - but I've been watching since feb last year (the 23rd to be exact...and I will celebrate that anniversary 😄). I spent a lot of time on the sidelines too...so know what that's like...

Anyway, to answer your question, Bad Buddy was actually the first fandom where I dove into the colour analysis (all my own interpretations of how the colours were being used in the series rather than any known colour-theories)...and before BB I hadn't really thought about or noticed how colour or clothes were being used in tv series or films. I guess BB just ignited something in me. Although I love the cinematography of Not Me, I haven't noticed any patterns with colours, and I hadn't with Enchanté until the moment the car was introduced along with Akk's bag, and of course once I started looking I couldn't stop...🙃 Maybe there'll be other series in the future that I'll connect with in the same way...who knows! Glad to know you're along for the ride!

Happy 5th Anniversary Persona 5.

I don’t know what it is about this game that really grabbed me so much this year. I started playing it in February, around when Persona 5 Vanilla was free for PS5 users, and I had been putting the game off for years, despite my best friend begging me to play it so many times. I had said “sure I’ll check it out some time” ever since 2018, and in February of this year I finally downloaded it from the PS store for free and played it for the first time. I was hooked

I still can’t really fathom what about Persona 5 just hooked me in instantly. Normally when I get into a new game, franchise, show or whatever, I will obsess about it for a couple weeks or maybe a month, and then I’ll kind of just move on from it; not forget it entirely, but I will have moved on to another topic. Persona 5 grabbed me and I had entered my usual obsession. Of course, Persona 5 is a long ass game so naturally it took me about a month to complete, but not once had I dropped it. I spent that entire month of February/March blasting my way through the story. Most games I would drop for a while and come back later to complete, because I have other things in the way. Nah I became fully invested once I had completed the first palace. I even purchased Persona 5 Royal because my friend told me it was the superior version, which meant I had to do the first palace all over again and pick up where I left off, but I didn’t mind, that first plot arc was one of the most enjoyable experiences I’ve had with any media. I bopped to the soundtrack of course, which is genuinely one of the best OSTs I’ve ever heard, and only inspired me to play through more of the game to hear more of the music. One I heard Blooming Villain and Rivers of The Desert for the first time, I just vibed so hard. My best friend told me it would probably take me 2 months to beat Royal but I actually beat it in about a month and a week. After that I wasn’t done, fuck no; I bought Persona 5 Strikers because it had just come out around the time I started playing vanilla, and I beat that in about a week, amazing fucking game again, I can’t even come up with the words to explain. At this point I was fully into watching videos about Persona, retweeting stuff on Twitter, following blogs, accounts, channels, anything Persona related. I then looked into the older games, and decided to play Persona 4 Golden. I bought it on steam and blasted my way though that, and I think I had just amount of fun as I did with P5, and I really didn’t think I would because of the older mechanics and stuff but fuck was I wrong. That games soundtrack and characters I would argue even tops some of the ones from P5 but at this stage I think I love them equally. At this point my room had already been decorated in Persona 5 posters, merch, artwork, and I had already purchased merchandise and t-shirts. Then I found out I could buy Persona 3 FES on the PS3. I still haven’t gotten that far in Persona 3 yet thought because unlike the time I downloaded Persona 5, I am no longer unemployed in a lockdown so I don’t have as much time anymore to fully invest myself but man I have not forgotten. I am still in on this obsession, after 7 months I am still in love with this series. I can’t even remember what my life was like before I played Persona 5, it’s heard to even think about my life before then. But anyway this is just a big long ramble about Persona as we’ve reached the 5 year anniversary in Japan, and I just want to make a big post sharing my love and experience with the series.

Here’s my Persona collection so far. Just this week I managed to find Persona 4 Arena Ultimax and Persona 4 and I didn’t even mind spending an extra buck for them. I will be looking forward to expanding my collection. I am so excited to see what’s to come for the 25th anniversary announcements and I will be ready for Persona 6.

i've had a weird / good summer but i just realized that i only have a few weeks left of it and my head started spinning JDSJGB i can't believe i'm 2 semesters away from graduating myself, and that means this year i'm really going to have to actually start planning for what comes next. it's exciting and also scary to know that the pages will really be turning for my next chapter after a lonnnng stretch of being in one place and working so hard laying the foundation for a future that felt really far off and suddenly it ... isn't anymore. so i guess one day at a time right and i'm sure you all will be here every step of the way (me crisis posting constantly JKDBJGHB).

i've been so happy w the anniversary content we've been getting and i ordered one of the sweatshirts they dropped the preorder from yesterday, the design though idk whygee i feel like maybe we've been looking at my blog KJDSBGJHB the aesthetic is very in line w my jihoon day post hmmm ....... i kid but i really am wondering if they'll hit us with a cb announcement with the festivities this weekend. here's hoping praying crying etc !! i miss my babies !!!!

Oh Gods I'm so excited for this!

Hello my dear friends! It is me, Max, your host and devoted writer. And today I am here to challenge you, my dear followers and friends who support and motivate me!

On January 8th 2021, I have decided to open this blog to share my fics with the world. At first I thought that it would last for a few weeks, and that I would have maybe 50 followers, not more. But here I am today, 5 months later, with 650 followers, and I'm so happy about it.

So I have decided that to celebrate my blog's anniversary and my 650 followers, I would create a writing challenge. Yup, that's it. A challenge.

The deadline is July 8th, my blog's 7 months anniversary (because 7 is my lucky number). On this day, everybody will have to post their works. After that, I will link all of your works in a post (the link to this post will be available in my Masterlist).

When you upload your work, you can tag me in it, of course. But I will also ask you to use the tag Midearthwritings Rewriting Challenge . That way I will be able to easily find them and won't miss anything.

What is the challenge about and how to participate?

It is...About me. Because I am a very egocentric person. No, just kidding.

But it really is about my works. See, I used to be a literature student. And for years I have been asked to re-write pieces that already existed. It is a very common exercise, and it is always extremely fun to do. So I thought...Why not give my followers this exercise?

Below the cut will be listed thirty-five quotes and ten plots. All of them are from my works. Your task will be to write a piece based either on a simple quote, or an entire plot.

There is no limit. You can select as many quotes or plots as you want! To participate just send me a DM or and Ask telling me which one you want to write about.

Up to three people can use one quote and up to five people can use one plot :) So make sure to claim the one(s) you want before it's taken!

How long does it have to be?

As long as you want! It can be a 200 words fic or a 10k one shot. Or even a multi-chapter fic! It really is up to you!

Does it have to be a reader insert? What can I write about?

Absolutely not! It can be a reader insert, a character x character or even a story about your OC if you have one! I love to read about OCs.
