John doesn’t tell anyone that it’s his birthday. Truthfully he doesn’t want the reminder that he’s the oldest rookie the LAPD has ever had, he’s just happy to let the day pass him by.

When he’s assigned to the crime scene, he’s gets a little excited. It’s his first mandatory callback and he’s eager to get started.

“It’s just guard duty.” Sergeant Grey tells him. “You have to stay until the detectives release the scene.”

The thing about guard duty? It’s kinda boring. It’s meant to be an hour or two tops, but he’s on hour five and his phone battery is starting to die out. There’s only so much Angry Birds the poor device can take.  

When he hears the elevator chime he’s practically frothing at the mouth for company. He already  counted the exact amount of ceiling tiles in the conference room and the waste paper basket is overflowing with the screwed up wads he’s been trying to dunk.

He doesn’t expect it to be you stepping off the elevator. You have a white carrier bag in your hand and smile that gets his heart racing.

“This is your case?” He says as he picks up the clipboard and moves to greet you. The crime scene tape is tied to a plant in the corner and the reception desk. You linger on the opposite side of the barrier.

“God no.” You say indicating to the crime scene tape. “If it was mine, you would have been set free hours ago. This is Bertrum’s mess.”

“Oh.” He says, before tilting his head to one side, his eyebrows furrowing into a frown “So why…”

“Happy birthday.” You say, removing something from the carrier bag and setting it on the desk between you. It’s a white cake box from the Hummingbird Bakery. He smiles as he opens it. It’s chocolate, his favourite, the words ‘Happy Birthday Officer Nolan’ are written in white icing.

“You mentioned last week that your was birthday coming up and you weren’t doing anything to celebrate so I thought I’d surprise you.” You tell him as his eyes raise up to meet yours. “Then I heard you were trapped here so I thought I’d drop by on my lunch break.”

“Becca, I honestly don’t know what to say.” He tells you, his palm brushing across his mouth. “Can I hug you?”

You haven’t known each other very long, not more than a few months but the two of you have a connection. It started when you met during a crime scene, the two of you had made each other laugh and from there it had shifted into something a little more.  There’s feelings there, certainly on his end, yours, he can never be sure.

“I brought you cake. I think it’s customary.” You remark.

He ducks underneath the tape, his arms wrapping around you, drawing you close. You fit against him perfectly, like the missing piece of a puzzle and in that moment John realises that he doesn’t want to ever let you go.

The two of you hold on for a long time before you pull away so you can rifle in your purse. It takes you a minute but you finally manage to locate the two wooden forks you stowed away. You press one into his hand before gesturing towards the cake.

“Shall we?”

Binghe 100%. Shen Yuan was a spoiled rich kid and after Binghe fell into the abyss he just stopped eating... there's no way he knows how to toast bread

Love letters imply they're ever far enough to need to send each other letters... at most they'll be long texts Binghe sends rambling about how much he wuvs his hubby and would rather be at home than his stupid job as King 🙄 and Shen Yuan blushes and replies "Focus on work Binghe..." Then he waits for Binghe to get home and whine that sy was so cold to him so he can apologize with smooches

3. Which one outlives the other, and how they cope

I mean . We know how this goes. Corpse cuddles and trying to raise the dead

4.What they do on date night

Since Binghe is a hopeless romantic who never thought anyone would love him, I think he'd want to do stereotypically romantic and basic dates. They go to an ice rink and hold hands while they skate and he's vibrating with joy because he's living out his hallmark fantasies. Shen Yuan indulges him sooo much.. too much. He got a cold but it was worth it seeing Binghe's happy face

5. How many kids they'll have

I'm gonna say... two. One is through breeding kink gone too far, second is them seeing an orphan boy who reminds them so much of Binghe as a child and deciding they have to adopt him immediately

6. How they decorated their bedroom

Elegant and slightly minimalist. Shen Yuan has all his merch hidden away in his childhood bedroom at his parents house because he's thin faced... they stay over one night and Shen Yuan completely forgets his old room is a haven of his weeb shit and is mortified when Binghe sees his limited edition poster of a hunky male character naked holding a sword.

Shen Yuan by far... same reason as his cooking, he probably had a driver take him everywhere until Binghe showed up

Shen Yuan by a landslide. Binghe is a very intelligent and well read man and while the same holds true for Shen Yuan, if he goes 2 minutes without calling Airplane a dumfuck authour it's worrying

Theyll watch anything together, even stuff they dont like so Binghe can listen to him rant about how much it sucks. Shen Yuan hides PIDW and all his other porn-for-plot interests but Binghe knows about them.

Well it's good that Epel is in the clear but I felt that he might despise Vil for using his family apple juice as the murder weapon that could lead to his family into trouble. Yeah, Epel’s feelings regarding this whole situation is an interesting topic, it would probably take a lot of time for him to understand what was going on inside Vil’s head back then, if he ever would understand that. He might also never forgive him, and forget pretty much everything Vil had taught him, but also start antagonising all the “girly stuff” more because now he has this negative association.

It’s also interesting to think about what would’ve happened if Vil didn’t overblot… maybe they really would have won, but also maybe Vil was already too deeply into his own head and wouldn’t express the passion needed for Rook to give him the vote. But anyway, even Vil himself accepted that it was his fault that they didn’t win, and that his overblot really exhausted everyone and made the dance worse.

Helloooooo, i saw your genshin tierlist and was wondering why Cyno was on S tier? Since i feel like he'd be a SS burper.

Okay let me try this again since I had a whole bunch typed out but then tumblr decided to erase it all when I accidentally did the wrong keyboard shortcut. I'm trying to finally answer this because I have had a lot of asks for Cyno though I suspect many were by the same person.

Simply put, I admit I was wrong. I was partly trying to avoid putting too many on the SS tier but also since I made that tier list, there have been many events that have been outside of his mahamatra duties that have shown more of his personality and that in actually Cyno is a massive dork weeb.

First off, we now know that Cyno would definitely get drunk since he drinks when he's out with Tighnari and Kaveh. I can definitely see him drinking and eating too much while he's playing Genius Invokation (and maybe being like "everyone shut up shut up! I gotta concentrate!" on a move and then pull something really dumb and then deny it when he comes to. Very unlikely because he takes thing so seriously but could happen especially if they turned it into a drinking game which they definitely might do.) That and try to tell a joke to Tighnari or confess something and end up burping into Tighnari's ear (which then are even louder to Tighnari with his hearing).

I absolutely believe Cyno would make tons of puns about burps too when he wanted to like "Happy BURRRRPPPday. Get it? Because it's your birthday and I burped....I ate too much." "What color is a belch? Burple." "Did you hear what the Raiden Shogun said after she burped? She issued a royal pardon." "What do call someone like me that burps way too loud? A big son of a belch."

I also think that Cyno would use burps during his work like when he's cornering someone and or holding them up and they won't give him the information he needs "You won't give me the info I need? I eat hoarders like you for breakfast" and then burp real loud right in their face to intimidate them. Probably works wonders, or throws them off at the very least.

Another thing we've learned about Cyno is that he loves to roleplay and would definitely get into his role. So if he got to play someone that was a big eater, he would definitely keep it up and burp in his "character".

He's also very competitive as we've seen in the Inter-darshan championship, so if there was an eating component to that or another contest, he'd throw down and definitely release some epic belches. Heaven help Teyvat if there's a burp contest for a TCG card or an eating contest, because Cyno would NOT that losing that lightly.

I think there's more opportunities for him to belch as well, like having to eat Collei's cooking as she's learning how to do dishes, and drinking some of Tighnari's potions of things he's found in the forest that would make him gassy. I also think it's possible because he goes so long and being focused on hunting his targets that he probably makes himself extremely hungry because he doesn't eat during missions much and then when he gets back and the mission is done, he finally can go to the bazaar and gorge to bursting to get the calories he needs once again. Then he pats his stuffed belly and lets out several belches in satisfaction.

There's probably more options there but this is a good smattering of things that come to mind that might happen with Cyno.
