HELLOOO its the one who ask about your fics again lol (sorry if I'm bothering you )
Since it's Ukyo's birthday, please tell me what make you like Ukyo as a character ( why notice him in a vast amount of people in dr stone and when did you know that you like him) have a nice day (can we please have an estimate time when you'll post a new ff - if there isn't it's fine! Please take your time!! And I AM SOOOO HAPPY TO HEAR THAT you will consider writing a sequel to Ocean Tide! I can wait for a year or 2 tbh as long as you're still writing and okay in life)
(Don’t worry about it, I love getting asks!)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY FAVORITE CHARACTER EVER!!
As for why I came to like Ukyou so much—it’s kind of related to writing him. Me and a friend were co-writing something for fun, and he turned into a major character. I ended up in love with writing him and his perspective.
I got attached to him because (in my interpretation of him) he is a character that values peace above all else—to the point of refusing to engage in conflict and looking for every alternative possible, which is something that can end up a flaw (backed up by his actions in Tsukasa’s Empire and to an extent in the treasure island arc). While in Tsukasa’s Empire, he never really had his allegiance questioned—something I like to attribute to his ability to keep his emotions in check and hidden behind a mask (or a smile). In that arc, his moral code gets backed into a corner. He turns a blind eye to Tsukasa shattering statues and, knowing he was horribly outmatched if he were to act out, tried (and failed) to tell himself it wasn’t equal to murder.
That kind of leads up to one of my favorite scenes in the manga: Chapter 73 and 74, when Ukyou talks to Senkuu over the phone. I feel like that scene is where Ukyou knew that his only chance at doing the right thing and succeeding, rather than opposing Tsukasa on his own and recklessly, was to hope that Senkuu was someone good. (I tend to have this in their dynamic when I write them a lot, with Senkuu being Ukyou’s hope and lifeline and confidence that they could do anything (even saving the world). And with Ukyou being Senkuu’s reassurance and the calm to his chaos.)
I think I loved Ukyou when I realized he was a character that understood the world’s darkness and was afraid—not of the darkness, but of the harsh decision between self-preservation and honoring his own beliefs and morals. He’s surprisingly realistic as a character, who keeps hoping for the best even when he falters, but can tell the difference between realistic and unrealistic expectations. (Which, when Senkuu promised, delivered, and then kept going far past the bar and the standards Ukyou held while at the same time working hard to make his goals happen, makes Ukyou feel grateful to have met Senkuu at all. He doesn’t admit it, but I like to think Ukyou felt like Senkuu saved him. And maybe that’s how Ukyou starts to fall a little bit in love with him.)
That turned into an essay, but I’ve been thinking about them for way too long and they continue to surprise me. Ukyou especially is just a character I’m forever going to be attached to. I love the entire Dr. Stone cast, but I just eat up the crumbs from the manga and anime, haha
As for when I’ll have a new fic, I can’t really give an estimate on that. I’m definitely a planner, but I’ve also been unable to write a lot lately (I’m hoping to work out a better pace with writing and work, since I’m a little bit sporadic despite all the planning I do). I’ll definitely remember to post here when I have a new fic, though! I’m so glad you’ve enjoyed reading them <3 It makes my day.
I hope you have a wonderful time, whatever part of the day it is for you! It’s a good night for me, thank you for the ask!

I'll hold in your tide, die a thousand more times just to see you in another life.
Thirty days with him was a miracle, twenty, a generous offer, and ten is a treasured moment. Because asking for more would be akin to reaching for the stars: impossible.
ao3: love letters from the shore to the sea pairing: saionji ukyo x f! reader genre: romance, angst wc: 3.6k status: one shot
Tumblr media
Rays of the setting sun painted her face golden, shining through the strained smile painted on the canvas of her face; eyes glistening with the tears she stubbornly held by a single thread.
Her hand reached a momentary stillness as it held onto the large red oak tree like it was her lifeline, bare feet curling against the sandy ground below her.
And like the grains of white summer wonders, always awaiting the hellos of the sea and staying no matter how many goodbyes it whispered... she was the same.
"Ukyo..."
Serving as the shore for his tides to settle. To welcome him in the illusions of midnight, within the mist of daybreak, even in the phantoms of eventide. Waiting tirelessly to hear the familiar tune of rattling keys, a small stumble because he’d trip over the floorboard even when she constantly reminded him that it was sticking an inch above the rest, or even that gentle knocking on her door.
She was always there to embrace him—to welcome him home.
The hinges that held that old wooden plank would creak and reveal that all too familiar happy face that never got tired of seeing him every time he came back from the hold of the harsh, unforgiving sea.
Where did it all go wrong? Because I know... we started out alright.
Come rain or snow, the fall or the heat of summer... she waited.
Even if she knew all too well that he had no fixed schedule on when he’d be coming back… especially since she knew that. Waiting was high on the list of commitments when it came to their relationship, followed by trust as a close second. Faith that he’d return to her safe and in one piece, accompanied by the hope that he’d have someone to come home to when he does.
His job was demanding, pulling him from her most of the time—if not, all the time. It paid well, albeit coming at the price of having a hundred thousand miles between them for ninety percent of the year.
Duty was high on Ukyo’s priorities; she reckons she’d be a contender for the winning spot. The military doesn’t serve time off on a silver platter or even as a side dish, most often they treat it like a five-star meal. Once, she even considered it lucky if he came home at all.
Thirty days is a miracle, twenty, a generous offer, and ten is a treasured moment. Because asking for more would be akin to reaching for the stars: impossible.
And after those seconds dwindle to a close awaits a couple thousand more hours of waiting for his return.
No matter how many meals she ate alone, nights she had to spend curled up in her own warmth, she never complained. Every morning that ended with the hopes he'd come knocking on the door. The occasional meals she'd make that were enough for two because a shift in time and space told her that it would only be a matter of time before he comes barging in holding that same duffel bag. She never complained. Not even as she decorates the Christmas tree on her own or blows out the candles with no one to cheer and greet her a happy birthday. Even as the last of the fireworks burn into oblivion and she’s left with the silence to welcome another year.
But every once in a while, when the desperation settles in and missing him was far too much for her trembling heart to handle, her mind conjures the illusion of his return.
Because as she prepared her meal for the day—enough only for a single person she would iterate—a knock resonated in the lonely apartment.
Her eyes glossed over at the thought of his presence, blood burning through every vein and artery in her body from the anticipation of his warmth, colors of the surroundings turning a shade brighter as though they were left to bathe in eternal saturation.
It was one of those days where the longing was nigh impossible to fend off that she'd drop everything she was doing just to rush and open the door, uncaring for any other thought than to see him—even just hear his name.
"Delivery for—" Yet reality found ways to test her patience endlessly.
It felt almost cruel to have her hanging by a thread, ready to snap off into despair for every reminder that he was so far out of reach.
No matter how long he kept her waiting... hoping that he'd come home, she stayed.
To her it was not a matter of time. She felt that even if Ukyo would take a hundred thousand more years to even knock at that door, she'd still be there to open it and cradle him in warmth after a long period of time being caged in that cold metal ship.
Because it seemed her love knows no bounds, capable of silencing the doubts, triumphing over the fears, forever remaining in the space domed by the fervent adoration he’d bestowed on her all those moons ago. The sleepless nights, and the pacing down the halls, and crying at the table, would fall silent when he’s standing before her—here, so close to touch with not even a single centimeter of infinity separating her from him.
He felt like a dream… a beautifully crafted dream. As though the universe was made just so he could come into being, and that he’d be able to love her as he did in this lifetime and in everything after that.
Back in the confines of the ocean, Ukyo would speak her name in whispers—unfailingly, every night, and in the breaks of first light, making sure to never forget the face waiting for him at home.
And here, in the space where she exists—not even a frequency away—was he able to feel the warmth he had longed to bask in for all those months he’d spent in the frozen depths of the cruel sea.
"Welcome home." She’d whisper so breathlessly one would think she didn’t say it at all, left to drift with the rest of the zephyr’s orchestra yet the echoes of her heart could never be misheard by him.
"I'm home."
Oh, what she wouldn’t give to hear that every day for all the eternities to come. Because with you, I feel all those things that I cannot experience alone.
With you... it always feels like home.
---
A rumble of thunder rattled the earth as lightning drew cracks in the heaven, splitting the skies open to have rain descend like stars, leaving their never-ending pitter-pattering to echo in their wake.
Though the sun hid in curtains of grey clouds, it was close to mid-day. Even so, she remained in the domain of slumber. Her form buried under oceans of blankets and islands of pillows, the tangles of her hair mirroring the seaweed scattered across the valleys and plains of the sea, yet hers were sprawled across the white sheets of the large bed. Despite the seemingly heavy weight of all the fabrics draped over her body, the life that came from her parted lips had the stray locks of her hair framing her face sway from her breaths.
The howling wind disturbed her peaceful slumber, practically screeching at her to wake up. Gray clouds continued to cry out the heavy burdens they carry, leaving all those who stood in its path drenched and cold from its tears. Lucky for her, the worst that the storm could do was scream at her through the slightly opened window.
After prying her body out of the sheets, remembering to fold everything neatly, she crossed the distance between her warm bed and the window, halting the yells of the gale.
The pane was jeweled by the droplets of rain, studding over the barrier like a momentary treasure. Her breaths left her lips in puffs of clouds, fogging the reflection of her untamed appearance.
An untimely yawn escaped from her dry lips; eyes still riddled by the spells of sleep surveying the surprisingly clean surroundings. A wave of confusion barreled straight into her because she remembers clearly that soon after she came home yesterday—there existed no spare second for tidying up.
Surely, no sane thief would clean a place after robbing it.
The sound of something sizzling and the wave of the smell of seasonings crashed onto her like a tsunami, flooding all her senses until hunger overtook her curiosity.
Her footsteps echoed in the narrow hallways, alerting anybody who was cozying up in her kitchen. Her feet had almost never walked that fast before, except maybe for when the pizza delivery guy was at the door. Beyond that, there was nothing ever really exciting to look forward to, at least… not enough for her to run like a maniac.
As she rounded the corner, her eyes were met with a strange sight.
"What are you doing?" She would ask, eyeing the man in the middle of her kitchen, hands landing firmly on both sides of her hips.
"Putting away the dishes." He’d say, sparing her a single glance and a soft smile before continuing where he left off.
"Why?" She’d raise a brow, stepping closer to where he was standing with the cupboard wide open.
Ukyo stopped for a moment, seemingly pondering on why he was doing the task in the first place—except, he stopped because he noticed that the plates were just haphazardly thrown in there without a care not because the answer to her question was difficult, on the contrary, it was anything but difficult. Yet he only looked over his shoulder and smiled.
"So you won't have to do it."
He says it so simply that it leaves no room for second-guessing. Because when he puts it like that, it’s as though no other reason could possibly exist aside from the one he spoke of.
In every curve of his lips… there lies something that shone brighter than all the stars in the sky.
As the twilight descended into the depths of the midnight sky, Ukyo traces the contours of her face. Fingers grazing the lines on her forehead, touching the valleys under her eyes, caressing the hills of her cheeks. He took them all in, carving them into the walls of his memories.
Ten days with her felt like bliss, twenty was a dream, and thirty… a miracle. But beyond that was asking for the impossible.
Cradled under all this happiness, Ukyo forgets sometimes, that it’s not for forever. Because like the hardships he endures when he’s away from her, this, too… will not last.
“Will you ever fall out of love with me?” Ukyo weaved his fingers through the tangled threads of her hair, a miniscule attempt to hide the fact that his own question pained him, left his heart shattering a little from the weight of it.
Ukyo would ask her this whenever she was subdued by the spells of slumber, never quite knowing what answer she’d give. Perhaps that’s the reason why he never wanted to ask, because he was already fearing the answer that was yet to come—an answer that would break his heart far more than the distance that slowly wedged its way between her soul and his.
Yet here, under the silver rays of the moon, did he manage to gather enough courage to ask it of her directly.
Time worked wonders; he believes. Soon enough, all this… would be memories he’d take under the depths of the sea. But heaven bear witness to what he wouldn’t give to have her for even just a second longer.
“What kind of question is that?” She laughs, caressing the frost away from his cheeks, “Of course not. That would be asking the impossible.”
When she says it like that, so ardently like she was certain that there existed no future where she did not love him, it makes it hard to believe that there would be another answer other than what she deemed was an absolute truth.
Even as she chatters mindlessly to him, shifting in the blankets he put her under, laughing so wholeheartedly it became impossible to picture her as anything but that: hopeful, shining in so much adoration that it drove away the darkness.
I love you. I love you so much… and I hate that I can’t say it enough to you. Even more so when I know that no matter how many times I do, it will never be enough.
“How may I say goodnight to you?” He whispers, his forehead kissing hers as he revels in the warmth of her presence.
“Any way you’d want…”
Ukyo tucked away the stubborn lock of hair behind her ear, gazing deeply into the depths of her irises, memorizing the lines etched on her pupils, the way her lashes would graze her cheeks in the stray moments where she blinked. I’m in love with you. He hung those reminders of her like stars, formed constellations in her glory so that he may be reminded that no matter where he went… a place exists—a time existed—where she and he lived under the same moon.
“May I?”
But for her, he didn’t even need to ask.
“You may.”
At her word, his lips blanketed hers like daylight to the earth.
And before I knew it... I was already falling deeper into the depths of my love for you. What I longed for the most... was you. The feeling of you being just around the corner. The thought that you’re just a call away. Just you, having you here… with me.
Because I've fallen in love with you, and I'll never let you go. I love you more than anyone, and I want to let you know. And if you ever wonder why, I wouldn’t know what to say and I’ll probably look stupid trying to think of an answer when I really don’t know. But I'll never stop loving you, each and every day. Whether it’d be here, yesterday, or in tomorrow… I’ll love you all the same.
Rays of the breaking dawn streamed from the opened curtains, shattering the daydreams clouding her consciousness. A warm hue colored the room, casting shadows in small, gentle strokes as the remains of the early morning dew escaped through the sun’s rays.
She shifted in her position, turning to embrace the man beside her, only to see that everything was how it was all those moons ago: cold, empty… devoid of any of his memories.
"I'm sorry, my love..."
With her heart thudding against her chest, she tossed the covers away. The freezing floor seemingly melting under the fiery panic rushing through her body, setting every organ on fire from the thought that… he left.
"I don't think I'd come knocking on your door anytime soon."
Her footfalls thundered in the narrow corridors as she frantically swung every door open to see where he’d gone, leaving no nook or cranny of the apartment unturned. Because even if the odds were against her in every little thing, just this once did she hope that this wasn’t what it looked like.
"Ukyo! Come out! This isn't funny." The stutters of her voice filled the silence, and she soon found herself pulling on her hair to ease the bubbling anxiety.
It wouldn’t matter if she had to wait twice—even thrice as long as she had to… if it meant he’d come back, that Ukyo would come home. That he’d spend even just another day here with her, an hour… even just a minute longer.
"They called, said that they'd be deploying ships... I didn't have the courage to tell you."
Realizing that no trace of his life remained in that tiny apartment, she hurriedly grabbed her coat along with some outdoor shoes before running to the elevator, pushing the down button repeatedly as if doing so would speed up the process.
"I was recruited to be one of the sonar technicians..."
The moment the doors slid open, she rushed outside and screamed—uncaring if she looked like a maniac, yelling frantically for the man she loves.
"UKYO!"
Looking like a madwoman, dressed in her pajamas with bedhead and a tear-stained face, running as though her life depended on it.
"I—have... I—don't know when the expedition will end... or if it ever will."
She didn’t know how she got there if she ran until her body begged for her to stop, if she hailed a cab and dealt with the ridiculous price that came with the season, or squeezed in with the rest of the rush hour in the shinkansen, forgetting to eat or even change into clothes that were a lot more decent—sacrificed it all just to be able to see him again, hope that he’ll change his mind, reconsider.
Even more so how she could have stomached staying rooted to where she stood, hopelessly watching as he walks with the rest of his comrades to that metal ship that would take him away from her.
"I love you, (Y/n)."
Maybe he never intended to stay in the first place. Maybe, this was not a preparation for his settlement but rather coaxing her… to let him go.
Now I understand—the reason why you acted so downhearted and yet still flawlessly played the part of the man who loved me. You... Ukyo... you were preparing me for the day when you'd no longer come knocking at my door. You wanted me not to expect... not to hope.
Was that you being nice? Was that a sliver of your empathy? Or was that the entirety of your kindness?
Did you feel sorry for me? Do you? Because you know that I would stay up late into the night waiting just for you?
Could your conscience not take the guilt of leaving the woman who was willing to drop everything and come running just to open the door for you?
And as the last of the sunset’s rays dipped under the horizon, she watched as that big piece of metal descended to the depths of the sea… taking him away for who knows how long. For a year? Two years? Five? Ten? Or was it for forever?
To think I was ready to forget everything just to be with you... I was ready to give all of me, all that I am... to you! I was here! I was always here! And still...
She no longer held his heart... maybe, she never had it in the first place.
You let me go...
Making you think that he loves you with all his heart when in reality, he never did.
Are the breaths of the ocean much more calming to hear than my own? Does the sound of the currents help you sleep better at night than when you're with me? Do the frozen chambers of that ship provide more comfort than I ever could?
You were always...
Enough.
He was enough. He was always enough—even if he threw everything away... he was enough.
I ignored the signs because I thought we could fix it. Because you made me believe that if the two of us were together, then everything would be okay. But we were drifting apart—faster than what we could have prepared for—and now, the selfish ocean holds you...
I have loved you, and I still do. But maybe after all these years, my love was never enough. Because if it was... then you wouldn't leave me all alone.
Have a safe trip, Ukyo…
But know that in the space between our first hello and our last goodbye, I will wait. I will still wait... even if the Ukyo I'm waiting for will never return. Maybe it’s foolish but it’s the only way I know right now—because I don't want to give the best part of me to somebody else... you are enough.
Ukyo... will always be enough.
---
Three thousand seven hundred fifteen years into the future, a slim young man surveyed the vicinity. The cool ocean breeze ruffled the white threads of hair that were planted on his head, his boyish features were ones that you can catch even from somewhere far away held some sort of expression that radiated nostalgia.
Green irises which were a similar shade to those of the finest emeralds reflected emotions that were quite difficult to understand. One might say he was relieved... another might suggest he was happy... or perhaps lost.
But as that familiar oak tree appeared in his line of sight, it was then that the tears started pooling.
That red tree that he'd stare at so fiercely praying and hoping that even just a second before he descends, he'd catch a glimpse of the woman he loves so dearly.
As the waves of the ocean continuously crashed against the rocky cliffside, the sound of her laughter shook his very core. The melody that only existed in the bowels of his mind and soul but still managed to force its way into his life.
With all of what was happening... how could he forget?
Fail to think of the woman he abandoned.
Oh, how the memories replayed in his mind.
Every trip to the sea. Every descent to the depths of the ocean. Every breath... every second... how could he forget?
The pain. The suffering. The endless waiting. Months of separation. Denied requests... pleas that fell deaf on ears.
How could he forget?
All those which he did to her when all she ever wanted to do was to love him.
Now, he stood before her. The body of the woman that even when turned to stone, kept waiting patiently for the day when he'd return.
"I'm home, my love."

“It’s like a thread, tangling, linking us to something. Until slowly we are completely bound.”
Part 1
Yashiro: (When I arrived 10 minutes late at the appointed time, everyone from Simulation Department have already gathered)
Yashiro: I apologize for keeping you waiting!
Mao: It’s fine. Have you finished your work?
Yashiro: Yes, thanks to you
By the way, what situation is this?
Tumblr media
Yashiro: (On the table, there are a lot of drinks)
(There were clearly too many glasses lined up for the number of people here)
Akehoshi: I thought beer is the best way to have a toast, so I ordered some
The cocktails look delicious and I even found a rare fruit wine too
Kou: For which I stopped him there
Mao: Well, with five people, I'm sure they will finish it eventually
Many of them can handle their alcohol
Though I wish you wouldn’t include me in the head count
Yuragi: Mao, I recommend this frozen cocktail. It has a low alcohol content so it is easier to drink
Mao: Heh, thanks. I’ll take it
Kou: So that is the reason why. It would help us if you drink anything you find interesting
Yashiro: I understand. Then I will feel free to take it
Kou: Well, now that we all have gathered, it’s time to start
Ito, can I have this toast with you?
Yashiro: Okay then, with your permission…
Tumblr media
Kou, Akehoshi, Yuragi: Happy birthday!
Yashiro: (Today is Mao-san’s birthday celebration.)
(We all raised a glass and made a toast.)
Yashiro: By the way, the reason you chose this place, is it because of that?
Yashiro: (The part where I was pointing my finger --- The shelf by the wall which was lined up with board games)
Yuragi: Yeah. I think it's perfect for Mao if it's a game bar
Akehoshi: Especially, it would be fun to play games with everyone that's why the 3 of us planned it
Let’s name it the “Ukyo Birthday Cup”
Yuragi: You get 1 point for every 1 win. For every 10 points ahead, the prize winner will receive a party favor
Yashiro: This would be the winning prize?
It is certainly a gift for Mao-san?
Yuragi: That is what I prepared, but it is boring if I just give it to him
Mao: So in other words, the person who will win, they are going to steal the present for me?
Yuragi: Yup. If you want it, you have to be the overall champion
Yashiro: A birthday party where the main character is being provoked…..
Maybe this is the first time I am experiencing it
Mao: There’s a lot of things I still want to delve into but okay fine have it your way
Yashiro: (.... Even though it’s not to the full extent, this still feels like Mao-san)
(And so, the birthday present to be won… The “Ukyo Birthday Cup” has begun)
---
Part 2
Mao: Yes. That’s my win
Yuragi: No way….
Akehoshi: Isn’t he too powerful?
(We already played various types of board games for 9 times)
Yashiro: Mao-san got 9 points right now…..
Akehoshi: He’s winning by himself~
Kou: As expected, there is no room for more evidence
Mao: There is no way I’d be happy to be taken for granted,
And I have no intention of doing so
Akehoshi: In fact, if you slack off, won’t you be punished?
Yashiro: (That’s true….)
(Mao-san would not be pleased if he just lets the player win)
(Everyone understands this and played the game seriously, even Mao-san who dared to accept the game)
(It was very typical)
Kou: Well, Mao is really good at games
I pretty much knew this was going to happen
Mao: So, what are you gonna do?
I don’t think it is possible to turn the tables now
Akehoshi: Well, there’s still that though
If you win the last game, you’ll get 10 points
Yashiro: That’s what you promised, isn’t it?
Mao: Then what’s the point of the game so far
Kou: Of course, it would turn out like this
Yuragi: This is the real decision, and it’s the most serious one, so go for it
Ito too
Yashiro: I understand
I will do my best, if you let me
Mao: Isn’t everyone on fire somehow?
Well, I accept
So what will be the last game?
Akehoshi: I think this would be the best choice
Here ya go
Yashiro: (From Akehoshi-kun’s pocket, a playing card slipped down….)
Yuragi: I heard you can bring games to this place
Yashiro: I understand. So we are using playing cards
Kou: Board games have a strong theoretical element, so I guess Mao can win with experience
With this, I think this will be a different game
Mao: OK
So with this number of people, President card game? Or like poker?
Yashiro: (Kou-san, Akehoshi-kun, and Yuragi-kun each exchanged glances and smiled in amusement)
Kou: This is the final game after all
Akehoshi, Yuragi: Old Maid game!
(Ukyo Birthday Cup. The Final Game: Old Maid
which foretells a storm, has begun)
---
Part 3
Yuragi: …..
Yashiro: (Yuragi-kun hands me a card without saying a word)
(Ever since the game started, or even before that, he has been completely expressionless)
Akehoshi: Yura’s expression is really hard to read
Well then, I’ll do this
Yup, Ito-san, here ya go
Yashiro: …. Please wait a moment
(Akehoshi-kun, you are the one who is always trying to make me pick a card)
(He can control his facial expressions, such as smiling on purpose or looking sad)
Yashiro: Well, I will take this
(The card I picked — It was the Old Maid
My heart suddenly started pounding loudly)
Mao: Then the next one is me
Yashiro: (The position of the card that Mao-san is pondering. It is a huge responsibility)
Yashiro: Mao-san, here you go
Mao: ….. Ito, your poker face is good
Yashiro: (It seems that the tension is making the muscles stiffen and the facial expression to disappear)
Mao: Then I will get this one
(The card that Mao-san pulled is the Old Maid)
Yashiro: (That’s a relief…. Or is it?)
(It’s a good development since the Old Maid now falls in Mao-san’s hands but there it also became suspenseful in another sense)
Kou: Is it my turn to draw?
Mao, isn’t it about time for the Old Maid to appear?
Mao: Are you playing games with me?
That’s what I want, Kou
(The Old Maid went round and round and as the result of the fierce battle….)
Mao: Yes, the last one
Yashiro: Aaaaah!
Yuragi: Lost again….
Kou: Even without the Old Maid, it’s definitely Mao who comes in first place
Yashiro: I’m sorry, it was like as I had been drawn to the card
Akehoshi: It’s not your fault, Ito-san. Your poker face was good though
Mao: Yeah. I couldn’t read Ito’s expression at all
I was reading the expressions of the three. I can kind of understand their tells because we have known each other for a long time
Kou, Akehoshi, Yuragi: !
Yashiro: (While looking at the reactions of the 3, he can tell the location of the Old Maid….?)
(If you think about it in that way, then it is no surprise that Mao-san won in this game as well)
(As expected, I guess he really understands them well)
Kou: So you saw through my tell
Yuragi: Aaaa, failed to steal the present away
Akehoshi: The winning prize will be presented
(A large gift box was presented to Mao-san)
Yashiro: Mao-san, congratulations
Mao: Thanks
Kou: He looks happy considering he knew he was going to win
Mao: I knew that, but how you feel when you actually receive it is another matter
Yuragi: That’s the conclusion
Yashiro: (When you look at Mao-san, you can tell even without words)
(.....He’s really happy to receive it)
Yuragi: ….. Hey, how about in the next game, we’d give 20 points?
Mao: No way, it’s already over
Kou: Mao was so strong that it was settled quite quickly
There’s still some time left, isn't there
Yashiro: ….. So that means
Akehoshi: Revenge match decided~
Mao: You’re not going to keep playing until I lose, are you
Yashiro: (Yuragi-kun starts shuffling the cards without questions asked)
(It looks like this lively night will continue) -END-

Amnesia Memories - Showing Love
Shin
one of his main ways of showing his love would actually be acts of service! Yes, he'll grumble and complain, but he'll always say that he's only doing it because he loves you, and it's true
of course, his other main way is kisses (so much that he has a song about it lmao). it's the only thing that he can do that no one else can
what he likes from you is quality time. you're both busy, but if you take time out of your life to spend time together, even if you're both doing something different. band practice, or studying, or just watching him play something on his bass.
Toma
you could say his way of showing his love is his protectiveness. you could count it as acts of service or gifts, but it's more than doing things for you, more than giving you presents
it's the meaning behind it. he would do anything to make you happy. that's not to say that he doesn't do things for himself, but he would do a lot to fix problems or to get you perfect birthday/anniversary presents
it's inevitable that you'll have sad days, or you'll cry, but he'll do everything in his power to be your shoulder to cry on
from you, he needs words of affirmation. actions speak louder than words, sure, but he needs to hear it to know that you mean it. he's spent so long as the role of older brother that he needs to know that he's doing what you want from him
Kent
hopeless mess with words. please do not let him talk. he shows love through action best, apologizing with gifts, taking you significant places, helping you learn things, etc etc
from you, he needs all kinds of love so he can learn. but what speaks to him most is action as well, since it's something he can understand. teaching him new things, debating with him about topics, helping him expand his world view and understand you more. expect lots of long talks
Ikki
man goes crazy for physical contact, especially when you initiate it. he's also a sucker for words of affirmation.
both of you would have the same love language in this situation. you both sort of believe that you could've chosen anyone else. ikki with his eyes and way with girls, and your popularity in general. hearing that you both chose eachother, from eachother, is something you both love to hear when either of you are feeling a little down
physical contact in public is one of his favorite things. he likes for people to know that you're all his, and he's all yours
Ukyo
this guy omg. such a softie. he loves cherishing you. you're the subject of all his photos, the center of his attention, his everything. looks of longing and pure adoration are to be expected.
but what he really wants is physical contact. for a long time, he wasn't able to even hold your hand, but it kills him that he's hurt you in worlds before, and he's unable to initiate it for a long time. but if you grab his hand first, that means so much to him

Amnesia: Later Part 7 - Orion Route/Ending
Tumblr media
Ooh so the Orion ending follows after Ukyo's best ending. Sometimes I'm worried about people like Mine who would say they'd cheat if their partner goes on a trip for a month and is difficult to contact because they're in a country that doesn't have a good method of contact. Like lady, it's just a month?! Anyway, it's nice to see that even though the heroine doesn't remember Orion, she unconsciously tries to find him and is even starting to remember bits and pieces. It was sweet to see Orion happy about the heroine trying to look for him. Aww, Orion working at a flower shop and working hard at remembering the different flowers and talking to customers was really cute, I love him.
Tumblr media
I'm so glad the heroine finally remembered Orion. It felt so sad that she didn't know who he was when they experienced so many things together and even experienced life and death together, so I'm happy she can finally have him as a friend she can talk to about anything again. Orion saying he might be a potential suitor for the heroine to tease Ukyo was cute haha. It feels kinda weird for Orion to be so happy about his "new name" as a human when I left it as Orion because I can't think of him as anything else, but anyway, hearing Orion talking about learning all these things as a human and experiencing so many things was so heartwarming. He deserves all these experiences and I'm so happy he's enjoying being a human, and even looking forward to the changes of every day. The route ending with the birthday party was so sweet, I loved it! Orion has known all of them all this time through the heroine but he's never been able to interact with them, so seeing all the guys and girls welcome him so warmly and hold a birthday party for him was the sweetest. Seeing him so happy made me so happy. He's really a part of the gang now haha. I kinda wish we got to see Nhil more but oh well, I guess it's time for Orion to shine.
Tumblr media
Overall, I really enjoyed Orion's route. It was very short but I think it achieved what it wanted, which was for the heroine to remember Orion and get to spend time together again and honestly, that's enough for me. Even if they'll never be able to be as close as they were before when they were in the same body, they will always love and cherish each other in the same way regardless and I would love to see more of that. Anyway, in terms of Later overall, I'd say in order from my favourite to least favourite, it would be Orion, Ukyo-Ikki, Kent, Toma, Shin and the Girls Party + Waka which were way too short to be considered anything. I 10/10 would have wanted a real Waka route but it is what it is. I still really enjoyed the game even though it was quite short (I took months though haha). It helped round off some things such as dealing with the cage thing with Toma, going overseas with Kent and handling the other side of Ukyo etc, but at the same there were parts such as Shin's route which I felt like was rehashing the same problem or it was just frustrating to watch haha, I would definitely still recommend it for Amnesia fans who want a bit more of their favourite characters though, and even if they're not your favourite, I still really recommend Ikki, Ukyo and Orion's routes, I think they were really great.
