I'm taking a moment to appreciate how healing AG-blr has been for me :) Growing up I was absolutely obsessed with AG, but I didn't really have any friends who were into AG, and my siblings didn't want to play with dolls, so I was kind of left in my own little hyperfixation bubble all alone. I mean my mom liked AG but that wasn't the same as having someone to play with. Yes I hosted multiple AG themed birthday parties and even put on a backyard productions of both the Molly and Felicity plays but no one... Really got it?

I remember the last AG birthday I had, having my brother tell me that my friends were all talking about how they were "too old" for AG when I was out of the room, and I think that was the beginning of the end for me because not too long after that I put my AG dolls in a cedar chest with all their things and closed it up.

I was still kind of interested in AG in highschool. I remember visiting the AG Store when the one in my state opened. And I remember desperately wanting a special doll I could make a wardrobe for and take everywhere with me. I had a little success with a few handmade dolls but nothing that really stuck, and my sewing skills were not up to par with what I wanted to make so I kind of gave up on that too.

Then the end of highschool happened, and I kind of went into survival mode. My mom's health got really bad. I had to start working and taking evening college classes on top of regular highschool and helping out more at home. Which kind of put my mental health in a crisis mode which kind of broke in my first year of college. Which finallygot me the help that I needed. But then I got kicked out for being queer and I was REALLY in survival mode, although I was lucky enough to have first a friend's family and then one of my siblings take me in through the end of college.

I remember getting mildly interested in AG again once I was working my first full time job and living with my first non-family roommates. I was (and still am) really into Big Hero 6 at the time, and when Luciana came out with her little robotics lab I ended up ordering her. Then I bought a secondhand Nellie, one of my grail dolls from childhood I never got to have. So that opened the door.

But then I remember being on Tumblr and finding some AG blogs and being like, "Hey! There's other adults who like AG and create their own characters?" And I really wanted to be a part of that. But I wasn't sure what kind of character I'd want to make. And then I remembered an old BH6 fanbaby I'd made in college and was like, "There's no way AG has a pink hair option." (I didn't really know about doll customizing back then so I didn't know wig swaps were a thing.) And then I checked the CYO generator and guess what was an option? XD

I was not in the best financial state, so it took a few months for me to be able to afford Rose, and then another anxious month of waiting for Rose to get here, in the meantime trying to plan out her wardrobe in the style of the og historical girls. And I made a placeholder blog for once she finally got here.

I finally came home to her delivery sometime in the early am after an event--if you go waaay back to the very beginning of this blog you can find a video of me very emotionally opening Rose's box for the first time XD Love at first sight for sure, I was happy to have my little girl home, and I had no clue how she'd change my life.

From there snowballed my deep dive into doll clothes making--I planned to buy Rose's clothes originally, but I couldn't find a school uniform I liked, and there was a very specific anime winter coat I wanted to make. I'd been making cosplays for a few years but then, so my sewing skills were finally up to the task. And then I just kept getting more cute outfit ideas and so... I just kept making them XD

And then I started posting pictures of the outfits on this blog. And adding new dolls to the family and posting about them too. And I am so honored you guys were so excited about my posts and brought me into the community! I saw your posts and got the inspiration to start taking Rose out places to get pictures, and she quickly became my emotional support doll, going everywhere with me and helping me through some of my worst mental health times. And I've been fortunate enough to actually get to meet some of you in person, and talk with so many of you online! And I even managed to rope my best friend into AG with your support XD It's really been such an amazing community, and I finally have friends who get my love of AG, and I finally have that special doll I take everywhere with me :)

So--thank you, AG-blr ^^ You're all amazing, and I look forward to many more adventures with you :)

Well, let's talk with truth and heart because those are the meaningful words we have in the world to speak.

First, I send to you past Mai 26 a single message with a happy birthday while I was... in the middle of something at the university, sleepless and stressed. Yes, a hard day with... 48 hours of speedrun...

I wrote something like I really hoped you were doing fine; but I really wanted to do more, I had this drawing on mind that moment but I wasn't able to do it.

But that didn't stop me you see, I wanted to do something special for you because you, honestly, you deserve it.

I think that every single soul that decides to share their inner worlds in any art branch that ever existed need to have a mutual like you. Not only because the wholesome and fulfilling support you give and the kindness you sprout to people around you but the way you show yourself so dedicated to your blog. Everything is so organized and your writing is perfect cause it feels so real! (sometimes I feel like Ruki is a real person and right behind there is you, the secretary, writing his speech with a bloc-note XD).

Girl, it's inspiring, I meant it a lot. And I hope, as you said, it stays like this a little bit longer, no matter how much. It will be fine.

I have to confess, before I met you I really have been having a little bit of troubles around my character. I was unsure that Cassie would find a place to develop her personality. Like... She has phases, right? And she could be amazingly cheerful and a literal sunlight at the beginning but she... Is more like that in the surface, you see. But none crossed that line. I think the problem was that I hadn't found in that time the kind of roleplay that I was looking at. The roleplay that sinks into the deepest parts of the characters and that make them give opinions, do more complicated actions, express themselves in the way they truly are. But, since the day you met Cassie you have been supporting me and I have been feeling a lot of confidence about my character. You really made me want to come back to Tumblr with a lot of energy, to renew and rethink my character, and show all her sides, all the beauty that she is intended to give, the lightest and the darkest side of her. And I granted part of this inspiration to you .

And, Jas, did you remember? Cuz I think I wouldn't forget it in my life——

Girl you made me a fanart of my girl in my birthday when you barely knew me!! I was like: I LOVE IT BUT WHY?! I was surprised! I wasn't expecting anything like that! And it made me so happy that I could barely keep myself entirely! (Also that day I was feeling pretty bad, I was having a terrible day and that simple thing changed completely my humor. No people physically around me understood it, but I didn't give a shit! I was happy! For true! Btw the picture is still in my smart clock and I don't plan to quit it uwu).

No matter the time you took to answer, that doesn't stop me to enjoy roleplaying with you. I'm glad you feel fulfilled with your life and I hope you can still walk to the future with all hopes.

I'm glad for having in my memory the day I clumsily popped into your inbox.

Happy 25th birthday to The Phantom Menace and to me!

I started this blog in 2015, when I started liking Star Wars (because of…the Star Tours ride, for some reason). I was welcomed in by the Luke Skywalker Thirst Squad (and then I betrayed them for Kylo whoops lol). The 2016-2018 Star Wars fandom was such an iconic moment (Anakin Eats Live Bugs, Star Wars Bad Lip Reading, the SNL Kylo skit, Hux’s cat…if you know you know) and I loved suffering through the sequel trilogy with you guys, and I humbly submit to my Reylo overlords as long as they let me keep making my Ben/Rey sibling/cousin AUs. And thank you to everyone who survived teenagerhood alongside me and Ben Solo—we made it fam. :)

Since I revived my Tumblr in late March of this year, three years out of college and newly married, most of the mutuals I knew have faded away (@threadsketchier where are youuu)…but I’ve gotten to meet new friends here, and you know who you are! :D It’s been especially cool to discover the Star Wars/Jesus fandom crossover (as @avercado5 puts it lol��and this also includes you @seeking-elsewhither , the biggest Star Wars fan I know who’s never seen Star Wars XD) And I’m so touched that there are still people down to follow Ask Ben Solo after eight whole years. Lol

I’m thankful to God for bringing me this far in life. Y’all know I’ve been going back into the history of my blog and chuckling at the silly young lady I was. That Adam Driver thirst post from when I was 17 was something indeed. And then there was all the random humblebragging about having poor mental health, which used to leak into my ask blog too. (One time I got some feedback that was like “Hey…can Ben just be happy for like five seconds?” And honestly…valid.) I spent a lot of ages 13-24 being unhappy (some of that was self-inflicted for sure), but recently, things have been pretty good. I know the promise of God isn’t that now I’m out of the woods and life is always gonna be super great now; I know that bigger storms (that He will help me weather) are in my future; but for now, I’m thankful for this happy little reprieve with my handsome husband and my silly little fanfics and my galactic-conflict-enjoyer internet friends. :)

The Young Ones Were: A Final Word from Scumbag Monthly’s Editor 🖕💚

I was going to post this on 7th March – the birthday of the pan global phenomenon himself – but I think the emotion will be stronger tonight. Either way, I’ve chosen this post to say my last farewells to Scumbag Monthly and thank the people who helped make it what it was.

It was my decision as editor to end SM at Issue #25 and it was a difficult one to make. Although SM has come with both pros and cons, it’s something I’ve enjoyed creating and is something I’m very proud of. In a way, it would have been easier to carry on – sticking with the familiar is always easier – but I didn’t want our fanzine to drift off into nothingness. I thought twenty-five was a good number to end it at. Three years; twenty-five issues; three Rik specials; a zine for the fortieth anniversary – I think we’ve done alright, all things considered. More than alright! I’m so happy that we were able to add to the fandom in some small way.

I have a head for dates, so I can tell you with 99% certainty that I took on the reins of editorship at SM on 14th May 2020. It’s weird that that time feels both close and far away – international pandemics will do that to you. I’ve seen engagement and interest in this zine ebb and flow over the years. We’ve never really received enough submissions to keep us afloat long term. I used to ask my mutuals if I could add old art of theirs to zines to keep the Drawing Room full, and the amount of my fic that made its way into SM was not the result of an overinflated ego (I promise!), more the result of fic submissions falling even lower than art submissions. We’re a small fandom; that’s always been a problem for SM. While I’ve continually emphasised the importance of submissions to SM – how else would SM involve those not working behind the scenes? – the truth is that the end products simply wouldn’t have arrived on our website be it not for the so-called scumbag staff who dedicated their free time to making pages and content.

With a small fandom and ergo a small team, SM’s ambitions had to be realistic. We would all have loved to bring new segments out in every issue but, with a lot to do and limited time to get it done each time, this often wasn’t possible. I never wanted SM to become a burden to the people who made pages for it, as we all lead offline lives and SM was simply a passion project – we made this because we wanted to, because it was fun.

I won’t deny there have been points where SM burnt me out a tad. I think it was easy to lose sight of things during the lockdowns, or simply fall completely into one project. There are some zines where well over twenty of the pages were made by me because they had to be, and I’ve often feared that The People’s Poetry suffered because of this. I’m very pleased and grateful to point out that the page share became slightly less exaggerated after we found different people for each character, but (and I’m afraid I am going to have to be egotistical now XD) I’d be lying if I denied every zine since Issue #4 isn’t drenched in my blood, sweat, and improvised version of graphic design (not actually my passion, me being primarily a writer and all XD).

I hope this isn’t sounding too negative because SM really does mean a lot to me. I think it’s just that a mixed relationship is guaranteed with anything you give a lot of yourself to and I want to be honest here, at the end. It’s going to feel weird for me for a little while: no more new documents to set up, no more new pages to make, no more themes to discuss, no more Google Forms to collect. I will miss SM, but thanks to the internet it’ll actually still be here. We’ll be keeping the website up as an archive and the same with our Tumblr blog and Instagram (scumbag_monthly). For future runs of the Rik and Ade Fest, another blog has been set up (@rikandadefest). SM has also had a Redbubble on the down low for some time now and we’re planning on adding our designs of the lads there soon, if any of you fancy owning something with those on.

I realise this whole post comes at the risk of sounding pretentious and melodramatic… but sod it, you know? Here are the people I’d like to thank individually, on behalf of our fanzine.

First of all, the creator of SM: the reason you’re even reading this right now. During the period in which SM got going – that calm before the utter shitstorm of 2020 – we spoke nearly every day… though, living on different sides of the globe did limit our talk time to early mornings and late evenings. Ed is the reason SM ever launched. She did almost everything for the first few zines, often at the cost of her own sanity, and she inspired a passion for this fanzine within me.

In May 2020, when I found myself in lockdown limbo between college and university, Ed was struggling with the brunt of SM plus the new hell of online classes. When I took charge of Issue #4, I don’t think I realised the extent of what I was taking on – I certainly didn’t expect to still be editor nearly three years later! Even so, without Ed SM wouldn’t have gotten as far as Issue #4. I’ll admit when she initially proposed the idea for a The Young Ones fanzine, I didn’t assume it would ever actually happen. I agreed to take on Rick’s page, but never allowed myself to imagine we’d end up with a project that’d last three years. Surely, it was only other people who could pull off that kind of thing, right? Surely, a group of introverted young adults online weren’t really going to get anywhere with this, were we?

I’m not trying to make SM sound bigger than it is – I’m well aware how niche we are, have always been – but the point I’m trying to make is: thanks to Ed spearheading SM in the early days, I had the profound realisation that I can actually be creative and try new things and they’re not destined to fall completely flat on their faces. I think everyone involved with SM, be it through making pages or submitting their work, has experienced a version of this same realisation with the publication of each zine.

That’s thanks to Ed, so I’d like to formally express my gratitude. Thank you, ya bastard.

The lovely Deya! Deya has always been a big part of SM, right from the beginning. The portraits of Vyvyan, Rick, Neil, Mike, Balowski, and P that appeared regularly in our zines were drawn by them, as well as the ten portraits of our staff on our website. That’s not even mentioning the five exemplary covers they’ve whizzed up for SM!

Not only is Deya an exceptionally talented artist, they’re also an enthusiastic team player. From Issue #11 onwards, they’ve been our resident Mike. As most of us agree, Mike is the most difficult young one to characterise – Deya rose to the challenge with full commitment. Alongside taking on Mike’s Moments, for a period of time in late 2021 Deya posted as Mike to SM’s Instagram every Thursday, providing all of us with funny insights into Mike’s sense of fashion. There have also been times when my SM workload proved too much and they stepped up to write Comic Strip reviews for our Strip Tease – in fact, one of my favourite reviews is the one of Five Go Mad on Mescalin we wrote together for Issue #18.

Deya has always been passionate about SM, even when it seemed there were only a few of us who were. They’ve been incredibly supportive and understanding, often one of the first to volunteer to make art or write pieces for specials. To put it lightly, SM would be left severely lacking without their endless contributions and help and for that reason I’m incredibly thankful to them.

Last spring, I was lucky enough to finally meet Deya, when they visited the UK on holiday, and they were just as lovely in person as they are online. Thank you ever so much for your work on SM, you really are a cool person.

I felt it only right to single out Julia here. Fandom spaces are ever changing and the individuals who’ve contributed to SM are no different. Despite this, Julia has been a constant cover artist for SM – not only did she create our first ever cover art back when SM was completely unknown, she’s since provided us with five more pieces for our covers. As the clever trousers among you will have worked out, that’s six in total. Almost a quarter of our regular zines!

There’s something instantly likeable about Julia’s art style: the shapes, the bright colours, the insistence on always giving Vyvyan one eye bigger than the other. The cover of Issue #1 especially is representative of SM – it’s the establishing shot – and I couldn’t imagine a better piece of art than the one Julia provided us with. I’d like to thank her for always being so eager to make art for us, even as the world’s gotten crazier and crazier. True scumbag style!

It was April 2020 when Haley first emailed SM with a fanfic submission and an offer to make pages for Neil. These were the early days of SM – Ed and I were just about keeping up with the zine’s Rick and Vyv content but were seriously struggling where Mike and Neil were concerned. It’s thanks to Haley that Neil is the only young one I’ve never had to make a page for… well, aside from that time we switched characters for April Fool’s in Issue #14… and she’s been a constant, reliable presence at SM since Issue #4.

There probably aren’t many people who could come up again and again with hilarious horoscopes on purpose, and I don’t know for exactly how many Wednesdays Haley manned Neil’s entries to our Instagram stories, but it was a lot. 9th June 2021 fell on a Wednesday – a little daunting for anyone. Yet, I think it’s that entry from ‘Neil’, a touching piece about missing people who are no longer here while still carrying the warmth they gave us within us, that sticks out to me the most.

Haley has always brought the exact right levels of surrealism, humour, and bloody hippie moping to Neil. She is probably secretly Nigel Planer. She’s helped keep the excitement for SM alive in me when I’ve been at my wit’s end with it and is in fact the main reason this fanzine didn’t fold after Issue #19. Honestly, she’s great. Have you read the fanfic she’s submitted? Pure brilliance. Her reviews of Rik Mayall's Bedside Tales and GLC were sublime.

Thank you, Haley, for encouraging not just me but everyone behind the scenes of SM and for being our resident Neil for so long. I know you’re a girlie, but I hope the seed of your loin is fruitful in the belly of your woman. Ta very much!

Part of SM since Issue #18, Wisely is a person who truly deserves so much love. I first spoke to Wisely on Tumblr when they signed up to write about Rick and Kevin in our second Rik zine, in 2021. Needless to say, the results of their endeavours were some of the most memorable pieces in that zine. Rick still hasn’t recovered.

After that, Wisely only became more and more involved in SM, until they’d taken on the enigmatic fifth housemate, that scumbag named Petyr, as a regular in our zine. They did this despite the graphic design element being out of their comfort zone and even came up with a whole new page idea to spearhead. Cliff ‘sHits – as well as having a perfectly Young Ones-esq name – is exactly the kind of thing I always hoped would start happening with SM: that staff would strike out with new page ideas when they had the time. Wisely has a talent for twisting well known verses to fit the scumbag agenda and we thank them for it.

A keen promoter of SM – they could frequently be found suggesting submitting to our fanzine in the comments of TYO fanart on Tumblr – they’ve even written fanfic to keep zines full of content. I’d like to thank them for joining the team and enhancing the zine in the process. SM is all the better for having them.

Zoe already has a name for herself in Rik Mayall circles outside the scumbags; what fan wouldn’t go absolutely crazy at the sheer time and dedication she puts into her many cosplays? Zoe has a knack for morphing into the bastards she portrays… physically, at least. I’ve always found her to be as friendly as Alan B’Stard is devious. XD

It was during SM’s hiatus, when the spot of resident Vyvyan fell vacant, that Zoe immediately jumped at the chance to help SM out. Since Issue #20, she’s provided the voice of the beloved punk as well as producing a page of her own design, Top of the Plops. Zoe has also been quick to help out where reviews of Filthy, Rich and Catflap and of the music in The Young Ones are concerned, for which I am very grateful. Despite being the newest staff member at SM, she’s thrown herself fully into it and offered much needed reassurance and submissions whenever necessary. Zoe has been an optimistic voice at the fanzine: always up for new ideas and competitions, always there with schemes to boost engagement. Her DnD stats for the lads in Issue #24 were incredible.

We’ve had many scumbags writing for Vyvyan at SM over the years – more than we’ve had for any other character – and I’m thrilled we got Zoe in for our final run. She even made the cover art for our last issue. Thank you!

Aspen is someone I’ve shared online fandom spaces with since 2017. We’re both fans of Red Dwarf, but it was our shared enjoyment of The Young Ones that finally got us talking to one another. Last autumn, we finally met in person when we went to see Ade in A Christmas Carol - a brilliant day with a great friend that I'll always remember.

Aspen has had a presence behind the scenes of SM since the beginning, often submitting fanart and the odd piece of fanfic, until they took on the role of resident Balowski at SM from Issue #16 onwards. Creating content for the character most out of the loop with the others isn’t as easy as you might think, but Aspen has always produced insane, amusing pages for him. Aspen was also the original cover artist pencilled in for Issue #21, but graciously stood aside when they realised offline commitments were going to need more of their time.

During SM’s run, I’ve sometimes had hairbrained schemes such as making the badges several scumbags will be receiving very, very soon. I’m no design whiz – Ed and I always made SM out of Word Documents – and Aspen helpfully volunteered to remove the backgrounds from designs and clean them up. Like I’ve always said, producing SM has been a team effort. I’d like to thank Aspen for always being in my corner.

Ava, the mad meme machine! If I recall correctly, Ava first popped up in scumbag circles in late 2020. She surprised SM with cover art for Issue #10 and kindly took on the role of resident Vyvyan from that same issue until Issue #19. 2021 was not a fun year – in fact, I’d argue it was worse than 2020 in some respects – so having Ava on the SM team to handle all Vyvyan content was a great help.

Ava has a very distinct sense of humour and you can usually tell which British comedian she’s most recently become obsessed with by checking her Instagram. XD Even with changing tastes, she’s still making content about Mr Mayall and her brand of whackiness is most definitely beloved by the fandom. Thank you for sharing it with SM!

Lumi was around at the very beginning of SM and is actually responsible for the piece of grey tape bearing the zine’s name that became our logo. He was our original resident P, producing pages for us during the autumn of 2020. Lumi has always been more behind the scenes than at the forefront of SM, but has nonetheless also always been supportive. Being an artistic sod, Lumi is to thank for many of the key headers SM used, which were all vital pieces of the SM brand… if we want to get really pretentious. Thank you for being there for the zine!

Pol was also around when Ed was proposing this insane new idea of a fanzine for The Young Ones and was our first resident Neil. Offline commitments saw them have to drop the role, but they reappeared again to help us out when we needed cover art at a pinch for Issue #9. A lot of SM’s Drawing Rooms have featured art from Pol, so I’d like to thank them for brightening up our pages!

Additionally, I'd like to thank the other scumbags who’ve made cover art for us: @frankenbolt (who made three(!) beautifully chaotic covers, including everybody’s favourite Modern AU); @whatacompletebastard (for the fab Breakfast Club parody that’s always been popular with the scumbags); @heinzpilsnerbloody (another talented artist who drew me a whole bunch of cool stuff in an exchange and kindly helped SM out); @colourshot-draws (our first anniversary zine cover artist and a genuinely lovely person); @postpunkpontypandyphantomthief (a massive Rik Mayall fan and integral part of the fandom); thedinodoodles (for being ahead of the curve and bringing us pirates before the Tumblr obsession); @rikhead (for the sheer dedication to detail on her cover and for her legendary skills in Rik Pic Hunting™); and @smashingblouses (for providing us with the brilliant TYO 40th anniversary zine cover art). I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again: SM couldn’t have functioned without its cover artists. Thank you all. Big respec.

There are a few final scumbags I wish to mention and thank - SM's cheerleaders, if you will. These people have brightened up my day on various occasions and their enthusiasm helped make the zine what it was: @anglophobias, @my-blood-is-maple-syrup, @friedhofcreative, @shotsofnovacaine, @5gogh2, @mariigoldmayall, and @fourstarsandahamster.

Finally, of course, I’d like to say a quick thank you to the people who inspired this fanzine in the first place. Without the canon, there would be no fanon. They’re never going to read this thank Cliff but without the brilliance of Rik Mayall, Adrian Edmondson, Nigel Planer, Christopher Ryan, Alexei Sayle, Ben Elton, Lise Mayer, and all the recurring comic guest stars of The Young Ones, SM would have quite literally never existed.

We need comedy in hard times – to call out the shits in power, to keep us grounded, to simply make us laugh. I count myself incredibly lucky to have stumbled across fans of this anarchic ‘80s sitcom on Tumblr. Despite the time gone by between 1982 and 2023 and the changes in society and sensibilities, I think it’s an incredibly good thing that this comedy still connects with us. Most of the people I’ve spoken to on here, like me, weren’t alive during TYO’s initial run. It’s often assumed by certain bastards who shall remain nameless that the youth are trying to kill comedy, that we take offence too easily, that comedy classics are a thing of the past. To them I say: UP YOURS, UGLY! As long as there are people, there will be laughter; and among those of us laughing, there will be the young ones.

So thank you, scumbag reader, for downloading our zines and supporting our bastardly endeavours.

Uhhhhh WELL tumblr told me that this blog is 7 years old today xD the knowledge of which instantly punched me in the face and knocked me flat.

I haven't been working on chapter 2 consistently. I don't have much more than this to show right now, and I can't even promise more will be coming any time soon. But happy birthday to my fannish brainchild that I still love very much and 100% want to finish some day!

This is my first ask on Tumblr, so I hope i'm not doing anything wrong, i'm understandable (english isn't my first language, unfortunately) and i'm not breaking any of your rules.

First of all, I really want to tell you that I really appreciate your blog and love how you always support everything with comparisons from your own life (or others) and how you provide us with original content and support us to see them and form our own opinions. 💜

I'd love to ask you some questions and get your thoughts about it. I hope you haven't answered them before and I just missed it (otherwise please link them again!). And I'm hard at work going through your masterlist and your other posts (that's really a lot, respect! And I'm probably still counting as a Baby Army (October 2021) and young Jikook supporter, so it'll take me a while to get through). So...

1. Who do you think is on Jimin's lock screen during the Sunshine-line Wlive in Busan? It looks like the pics from the Vminkook outing in LA so maybe Jimin, Tae or JK? Do you think Jimin would take himself as lock screen? And I heard that Hobi might have been there too, or am I just mixing it up? As far as I know there aren't any pictures of him...

2. I would like to hear your thoughts about the timeline while they were in Busan and about the Taekook beach debate. Simply because I am confused by the different statements and times and your posts and replies often help me to understand. Also, you often point out things or views that I would have missed. And I just enjoy your thought processes and your writing. So first I heard that there were rumors that JK and Tae arrived early (on 13.10?) and that they were on the Busan beach at night (around 3 o’clock?) with staff and there is a video of them (please JK, if you were there with Tae, please show us the pictures, they must be mega cute!🥺🥰) and that they shared a hotel room. And that Koo was in Busan at the time of the video recording for Jimin's birthday. For that another question: do you think Jimin and Jungkook didn't sleep with their parents to protect them or because it was too far away or something? Or maybe there are guidelines from Hybe that all their idols have to share the same hotel for logistics and security reasons? When do you think JK and Jimin visited their parents, the 13th or the 14th? And Tae was out to dinner with his parents and his friend Seo-Joon on the 15th (I'm so happy for him that they were there and he got to spend time with them) and Hobi was also out once (?). Did I miss something?

I recently stumbled across the Jikook timeline by jiminieloved and was extremely pleased with the great sorting and lots of content that was unfamiliar to me. Since Tumblr confuses me and I don't really know who you know and who you don't, I thought I'd mention it. If you know and can recommend other great in-depth Jikook or OT7 blogs I would be very happy. Same goes for non-shipper (but also Jikook or other pairings) translators who gives background on language, expression and culture. And since you responded to a Taekook account the other day (thetaekookcloset), I took a look at that one and liked it. While I don't agree with her/his/their (?) opinion, blogs like this still give me a different perspective, which I think is important and interesting. Plus they often have cute new gifs and pictures. If you know any good blogs about other pairings I'd really appreciate it too.

Hi! Sorry it took me so long to answer this. I'll do my best. Lol as for your first question, who's Jimins photo background? I mean, people DO post themselves as their background, especially when at cool places and its a more artistic photo and not just a selfie all the time. Jimin even shared back in 2015 that his phone background was a photo of him and Yoongi together. SO I do personally think its himself at beach. Otherwise the possibilities are that it's either JK, Tae or Hobi. Hobi DID go to beach. There is some speculation on if he was there with the maknae line or by himself at an earlier time, but they all posted photos there and were all 4 there. Maknae line defintely there together, Hobi maybe (probably?) With them too. The 4 of them were all attached at the hip in LA and going on little dates all together the whole time. Lol it was so cute. And it's such a blurry blob from what we can see, it's hard to make any kind of reasonable guess lol

2) Busan Timeline! Lol not easy, and nothing is definitive honestly either. But we can try to piece it together in a way that makes sense. Honestly this just feels like the nicest phrased can you debunk tkkr rumors for me ask. Lol No, Tae and JK didn't show up to Busan early. They were in Rehersals with the rest of the members up until they all left for Busan at the same time. Jimin during his WLive stated that they had all just got done rehearsaling together before he went and started his birthday live. But let's timeline it.

October 12th

BTS members all together in rehearsals and practice and filmed the RUN BTS practice video. He was in the same outfit when Hobi caught him in the company building after filming said dance practice (above) and said he just wanted to wish him a happy birthday. Before assuming they went to get ready to travel to Busan.

Jimin then changed his clothes and started his Wlive at 11:49 PM on the 12th. His Wlive ended around 1 AM on the 13th KST time. Link to the live below too

October 13

Jimin ends his live (above) around 1 am and then at some point, presumably all 7 members and their staff get ready to go. They all leave for Busan after this Wlive and then get settled into their hotel. We know they all left then too and not early becayse not only do we see footage of them all there at Hybe on the 12th and not in Busan on the 10th... but they also told us during rhe after concert Wlive that they all came down 2 days before the concert on Jimins bday.

It only takes an hour to fly from Seoul to Busan, it only takes 4 hours to drive. If they left after 1 am, that gave them all plently of time to get into their hotel, settle in, and go to sleep before waking up to rehearse for the concert. Jungkook probably filmed his birthday video for Jimin after getting settled in/before going to sleep right before 5am KST. Almost 5 hours of time between the 2 events (JMs live ending and JK posting) is more than enough time for them to travel there and get settled into their rooms.

They probably rested and then all went to rehearsals later that evening where again, they were all together. Hobi posted again a HBD to Jimin with a video of him FROM rehearsals and Jin posted with him a photo they took after rehearsals

October 14

They spent the next day in rehearsals and practice and setting things up for the concert, that would be the 14th. Jimin and JK probably went to see their parents either on the 13th or 14th to see their families while in town and celebrate Jimins birthday. Sometime when they weren't in rehearsals for odd hours. And as for your side question over why they didn't sleep at their family homes, probably because they were keeping odd practice hours and it was easier and made more sense to stay in the hotel with the rest of their team and all their staff.

October 15

They have their concert! Lol the concert started at 6 PM and ended around 830 PM. Give them some more time to get cleaned up a bit back stage, gather their stuff, leave, get back to the hotel and get resettled in too. And then vhopeminkook do an after concert Wlive for us for just 20 minutes. My Post over that live here. It gets reiterated that they had just all gotten to Busan on the 13th and everything else discussed in the vlive, I basically include in my post linked. JK also mentions having not really gone out to do anything yet while they were there. I'm assuming jikook don't count visiting their family as going to do something. Lol Tae also doesn't eat much of the Ramen snacks, Jikook eat most it. Lol Weverse live link below.

After the Wlive, Tae goes out to dinner with hus family and Hyungshik, his friend from Wooga Squad who all had come to the concert, as well as his manager too. This has been confirmed both by the many fans who saw them there and the restaurant themselves. No other members were there at this dinner.

After the restaurant Tae went to the beach and posted photos to his Instagram that he took while he was out there. Apparently the beach was Haeundae Beach and is quite close to the restaurant that he ate at with his family. So to me, personally, I think it would make more sense to guess that the people at the beach with him were the same people at the restaurant with him. Hyungshik, his manager, maybe a bodygaurd or 2, and maybe his parents too if they decided to come along. Honestly, that just makes more sense to me.

People said it was Jungkook as fact because they claimed the shoe print was birkenstock slipper print of the shoes that JK wore. And that the other shadow who wasn't Tae was wearing a bucket hat and that JK wears bucket hats. (Like no one else owns those shoes, or could make a similar shoe print or wears bucket hats) And someone claimed to have seen them there and posted "proof" which was just a super grainy pixels of what only honestly looked like one person. And for all we know, wasn't even Tae alone but a stranger. Plus that same person was caught lying about other "photo evidence" they had of posting what else they had done that day. Stealing a different armys photo of the line at Magnate. They also proved to be a lowkey sasaeng taking JKs photo after an event where fans werent supposed to really be and posting photos of random motorcycles trying to pass it off as Jungkooks. So clearly their credibility is trash. The evidence just isn't there as proof. And honestly, if JK was there, I'm pretty sure Tae just would've posted him. BUT there also isn't any evidence that JK WASNT there. So it could've been them. Tae could've wanted to go to beach, called up the members and asked if anyone else wanted to go and JK said yes and Taes family all went back to their own hotel instead. So who knows. Passing anything off as fact here is silly. It's likely that it wasn't JK, but it can't be proven one way or the other. Trying to do so is ridiculous.

They claimed Taekook to be sharing a hotel room early (they weren't there early so moot point) or through the rest of their trip because Tae posted the photo above on insta as well in his hotel room bathroom mirror. People found the hotel they were staying at (weirdos) and "proved" taekook were sharing rooms based on how the rooms had the same wall and headboard patterns (they used JKs bday video to Jimin as proof to show his hotel room walls/headboard) and that the bathrobe is the same too (robe you can see is blue/white in the corner of Taes pic).... like hotels don't have a common theme of "things" like walls, headboards, beds, sheets, robes, towels, etc. Lol so again, it's just kind of silly and doesn't make any sense. I'm pretty sure at this point all the members are getting their own rooms as Hybe rents out an entire floor of a hotel for BTS and their staff members when they go places for concerts. Both for comfort and for safety as this is something they can now afford to do. Lol but again, no proof none of the members decided on a hotel room sleepover in any variation. But the "facts" are facts or proof of anything in either direction.

Nobody likes a liar but the weird instance that taekook would never was also so dumb. They are friends who like the beach?? Lol but yeah, the evidence was lacking and it's a weird thing to get so wrapped up in regardless. don't be afraid of being silly! growing up is overrated and yes, there's a time and a place for that, but don't let go of the things that bring you joy, no matter how "weird" they are, or how "niche" or whatever. if it makes u happy, then it makes you happy!

sometimes ur emotions aren't a choice, but whenever they are, you're allowed to make the choice to not feel a thing -- this was a bit harder for me to learn, bc its hard to think of being like "in control" of ur emotions without trying to be like deny, deny, nope, nope, nope. but at least for me "choosing" not to feel a certain type of way is acknowledging like "cool okay so, my body/brain is having this type of kneejerk reaction, and that's fine, but also im not gonna let it consume me" and after that, it gets a bit easier to handle

specifically about writing? don't be so hard on urself! :) this is a true passion project right -- we don't make money, we do it bc we want to and it makes us happy, and it maybe makes a few other ppl happy too, and that's a pretty cool thing! ur allowed to take breaks, to step away, to do you and live ur life and come back to this hobby later! it'll always be here waiting for you

T B H setting up the new blog was kinda stressful but FUn stressful. like it took an obscene amount of time to figure out the kind of aesthetic i wanted to have, and then to like... re-acquaint myself with html and photoshop and all that LOL but im rly happy with how it's turning out so far !!!

and yES so a limited series is just like... a mini-series. so in tv that's like 3-4 episodes instead of a 10-12 episode "season" of tv. and i borrowed that term bc instead of having like 10 chapters, this "series" is only rly like... 4 chapters and a bit more so !!! that's all!

Happy (late) New Year to all of my Friends, Mutuals, Followers, and Peeps I'm following… (and most likely have a restraining order out against me xD) I love you all (platonically)

I wasn't going to do one of these because I felt as if I wasn't worthy of making one >.< I've only been on Tumblr for roughly half a year. But you've all made me feel so welcome and cherished in your own way; passively or actively. I initially made this profile to just say 'HI' to TC96, their blog was one of my main influences.

I then built of the courage to share my Fanfic online (that I swore was going to stay with me)…. One thing led to another, Now I want to draw my character(s) and learning new artistic things everyday… I never thought in my life thus far that I would make any friends, I find it hard to portray what I mean on a social level, and in general writing. I'm also sorry to anyone I've made unintentionally go "??? WTH's she on about???" Thank you for being patient and understanding over these months. I will be a better communicator as time goes by. After having an online incident happen to me a decade ago, I swore I would never interact with anyone online ever again… Be careful with what you share about yourself online is all I can say… We all have skeletons in the closet that haunt us, and toy with our sanity. (Now, after isolating myself for a decade with my partner, this has been the best decision I've ever made).

@xhunterbeatsx You're One of my first followers, and although that's special enough, I can't thank you enough for your support and encouragement. If you're wondering what do I mean by this? You've been both indirectly and directly influencing my dopamine output with your art and kind words. You made the first Fanart of my OC which I cherish dearly, apart from making me cry, it encouraged me to peruse art further. Thank you again.

@martysgachaworld Although the time we've known eachother has been short, I can't thank you enough for bringing out a confident side in myself. It took years of encouragement/help from psychologists to help me come to terms with my biology, but, I always felt shy about portraying my sexuality publically… Now after talking with you, I feel proud to say I am Lesbian. Not just "Oh… I'm asexual… My partner is a woman…" changes the conversation. … You've been through so much in this short time that I've known you, and, as always I want to say, that all of your friends are here for you, and love you very much (platonically).

Creative Goals & Progress (June 24)

Feeling some complicated feelings about creating right now, oscillating between positive and negative. So not the most positive update… but documenting my thoughts in the moment feels important, so I’ll do it, and feel better from venting a bit.

Goals are split between “things I will put on Tumblr when they’re done” (aka, fandom stuff), and “things I will be keeping to myself” (because they will eventually have my real name associated with them).

Fandom stuff:

1). Haru birthday fanart Status: 80% complete. Oof. There’s a reason I never draw group/party scenes, and that’s because they’re so much work!! BUT, I finished most inks, most coloring, made a simple background, did some finishing details, and now I just have to add the presents, a few more details, and maybe some additional party-goers! I’ve tried to plan it such that after I draw/color the presents, I can stop working on it basically any time. I’m really, REALLY trying to have this done by Thursday, so I can stop worrying about it. This drawing has been so unnecessarily stressful!! Feeling a lot of complicated feelings working on it just because of The Blog, I think! Sad but happy but SAD but relieved but nervous and and and... XD

2). Gargoyles oneshot (“joined in love (not in hate)”) Status: 70% complete (no progress since last week)

3). OTHER Gargoyles oneshot (“The Room of Infinite Mirrors”) Status: 70% complete (no progress since last week)

Personal stuff:

1). Secret Personal Project (SPP) Research. Um!! This ain’t gonna happen before the end of the month. I hate crossing it out for a second month in a row, but what’re ya gonna do? I spent all of my free time and creative energy on fandom projects this month, regardless of whether or not that was a good decision.

So it's my birthday and that means it's also the two year anniversary of me coming onto Tumblr :D it's been a blast and as this is what I did yesterday I want to shout out some of the wonderful people I met and friends I made on the way.

@supremestrangeness whose a brilliant writer and always seems to know how to carry a story endlessly yes...anding my silly whims and ideas. Nat loves the eldritch mess (in all his forms) and I am incredibly glad and ever greatful for your friendship!!

@cherryfinolahobbes anyone who says OC's shouldn't be part of fandoms should go and check out this blog right here. I don't think I've ever seen a muse woven through a fandom with so much care. The mun is just as wonderful, ever patient and happy to listen to my antics while go tackling house hold tasks. I wish we would chat more. I need to make more time for that!! (Also she's got brilliant recepies and food tips, honestly how can you not love that?)

@strxngemxgick I know this muse and mum haven't been around for a while. But they are such an infinitely wonderful and talented person. They've sparked my joy for artistic language and long form posts when there's a partner that matches the enthusiasm and length. I got to explore a softer side and more tragic stories with Nat in all our writing ant it is truly delightful. I hope they will one day decide to come back but even outside of Tumblr the mun is always considerate and so supportive. I'm always happy when they have a minute to chat.

@prplhawk As a fellow country person I am so happy you go along with all the silly AU ideas with a snap of the finger. The mun is amazing and such a flexible writer they catch their muse from silly moments to full fledged angst blood and gore. I miss you!!!! Let's write more crazy AU things!!!

@resignedworkaholics I've literally known nothing about James Bond when I met this lovely Q. And somehow a whole new spy world AU was born. I love the adorable sillyness of these two so much and I'm truly happy we get to write these stories. I know you've got tons going on. But I hope you're well and know you can reach out at anytime.

@ssolessurvivor If you ever need a friend. Logan is the one to call. Again. An amazing OC built and laced into so many worlds with a flexibility that still makes my head spin. I'm having so much fun with this wonderful little flirty friendship thing we have created and I can't wait for you to come back. I hope your wedding goes amazingly and you have the best honeymoon!!!

@seesbetterfromadistance My very first writing partner on this platform. Then he forgot about me XD but that's fine. Part of a very big platform and coming back after a while. I adore your Clint and the way you capture him so effortlessly! The mun is also amazingly talented in his craft and I love it when you share all your fotographs in an excited spam even though I can't always answer simultaneously. I hope that whatever is happening you keep that joy alive :) I don't think I've ever met a person this excited about a cactus in bloom and I am so glad you took me along for the ride (because I was very excited about that cactus then too!!!) I wish you well and hope you return for more writing shenanigans sometime :)

@smertzimy I miss our found fur family. Especially with these two tragic characters. They deserve all the love (and pets) they can get. Watching Eurovision this year has been a blast with the great commentary provided XD and I hope that it will be just as great next year. The mun always finds the greatest memes and pictures and the icons are on point!! I hope you have the grandest time and we find more of it to write again.

@esotericdescent / @thiefofcrows Is absolutely amazing! Please go check out his multimuse if you are even remotely interested in the eldritch and supernatural. But on top of that he is my Main Kaz Brekker (yes I write Inej Ghada on a different blog but this is my blog and my birthday and I get to shout about how much I love whomever I want for as much as I want here.) He is incredibly talented and I adore plotting with him. I am a massive Crows / Literature fan / overall nerd and this mun gets to suffer through it all and meets it with the greatest enthusiasm. I love the stories we built and the complexity I get to write without ever having to think twice if 'its alright to write this' because fuck yes it is!!! Thank you for your friendship and support of all the fun ideas and picture spams you get :)

Regardless of this up there. Thank you if you've stuck around, written, discussed, interacted and lived with me through another crazy year. The world isn't any easier but I know there are safe spaces and people to escape too. Be kind to each other and have a great day.
