Explaining IDV characters' lore bc I'm bored (Part 5)

Note: I researched upon different sources so let me know if I forgot something or wrote anything wrong <3 Also, I'm only covering backstories/pre manor lore and won't go fully explain like what exactly happened to them during the games.

𝗟𝘂𝗰𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗮 (The Prisoner)

▪︎ Luca was once a nobleman and a brilliant- minded person who was considered to be "too trusting" and friendly.

▪︎ His father (Herman Balsa) spent all of his and his wife's finances on failed investments, causing his mother to "die of anger." Because of his father's doings, Luca decided to run away from home.

▪︎ He stumbled across inventor Alva Lorenz at an expo one day. After that event, he wrote a letter to Alva with his father's manuscript tied along with it. In exchange, Alva took him in as his student and apprentice.

▪︎ After so many failed experiments in his laboratory, Alva noticed some of his manuscripts to have gone missing and filed it as theft to the police.

▪︎ The police theorized that the manuscripts may have been under the grasped of a competitor.

▪︎ Thus, Alva blamed Luca to be a traitor who had sold them, while Luca blamed him as a thief who stole the ideas of others as he had run out of his own.

▪︎ During one of Luca's experiments, a situation broke out between Alva and him, which sparked an immense accident, killing Alva and leaving Luca with amnesia.

▪︎ Luca was then sent to prison for suspected murder charges.

▪︎ Despite being now imprisoned, he never gave up his deepest aspiration— completing his greatest invention.

▪︎ Ultimately, he was released from prison by an unknown benefactor and received an invitation to the Oletus Manor.

My fun fact of the hour for this drawing is that my tablet freaked out while trying to color it. So I converted it into the purely B&W drawing you see now! I'm actually very happy with it.
