I love being cringe and celebrating my OC’s birthday 🥳

Gus has really grown over the past year and a half - from a one note bully in the first chapter of a fanfic to the heart and soul of my debut novel (which I really do consider to be some of my best work yet 🥹). I hope once it’s finished, I have an opportunity to publish and share it with the world and let this character shine in his own story outside of the Encanto 💕 it’s what he deserves 👏

By this time next year the manuscript will be finished and in the inboxes of literary agents 🥳

When Félix peered under their bed, he finally found his missing daughter, so he tried to coax her out by showing her a box tied up with a red bow and decorated with little mice.

“Hey baby, come out and open this one, it’s from your Tío Bruno and he said it might help you tonight with your new gift,” he whispered as he showed off the hastily wrapped, but still pretty box.

The little girl shimmied out from under the bed, then carefully removed the wrapping and when she saw the earmuffs she brightened up considerably while Félix shot a quick thankful glance behind him where Bruno had peeked his head in, hoping to see that it would help the birthday girl enjoy her party.
