Chapter Summary: In the wake of an assassination attempt on his son, the King of Almyra, Khalid does his best to keep up morale and maintain an air of normalcy. But between fears of a potential attack on the farm and the unrelenting rains that threaten to cause disaster for the nearby village, he's got his work cut out for him.

That's not to mention all of the strange happenings surrounding the professor recently. It makes sense that people would start asking questions when memories conflict with reality, or when age-old afflictions suddenly abate. Although they aren't demanding them yet, they'll want answers soon, but how can Khalid tell them the truth when he doesn't know it himself?

The professor is changing, too, and as much as Khalid hates to admit it, he's growing afraid of who she's becoming—or whatever it is she's been this whole time.

Hooooly hell, not just the rendering, but the USE of those glowing rose petals to craft this scene is absolutely FANTASTIC. That stark moody feel is just so immediately striking, and the particular way you use them to highlight the faces (and, notably, the Sword of the Creator) pulls our focus in to the exact right places in the exact right ways. It also helps you to create a very unique mood, something at once Powerful and even a bit Ominous...but also ultimately Warm and Intimate as well.

2024 Edelgard Birthday Piece

This'll be my first year doing this here, but I like to enjoy my birthday by making a piece for Edelgard's birthday.

This came from the fact that her birthday is the 22nd of June like mine, and she was my favorite character from FE3H. It has become my excuse to draw her (and Byleth, because).

This piece in particular is less polished than I'd of liked due to being massively distracted by Dragon Age. (I totally did not finish this at 1am this morning...)

I might revisit this piece and work on it more at a later time. We'll see.

You set your scene really nicely here, not just the authentically Fancy Restaurant feel of the lighting but also the way you craft the focus and scenery; the soft-focus feel of the background and setting elements is rendered just right so that they all feel clear but also ultimately draw our attention to the characters all the clearer. And I REALLY love the feel of those characters here too; they have a nice level of intricate detail (the little touches of Byleth's outfit in particular stand out), but you also give them a loose bendy feel that gives them a nice relaxed energy too, and suits the particular mood of the pic well.
