A little Jewish joy this Rosh Hashanah:

Before the kids left the service for activities, our rabbi let them come up and sit on the steps to talk with them. After, she asked one of the kids if he wanted to blow his shofar again (he'd blown it to open services). He said he wanted his little brother to blow it. So he helped his 4 year old brother to hold up the huge ram's horn and the little guy successfully did it! Everyone laughed and applauded and smiles were abound as the kids left.

I know this kid a little; he's so proud he's Jewish and was so excited to start Hebrew school last year. Just happy to see our future is so bright.

In the time of night when the oscillating red and orange ribbons of fire wavered and the abounding stars splattered across the sky flowered brightly, Arthur sat at an old wooden table, a silent witness to the ongoing party. The area was bustling with laughter and chatter, and the warm flickering glow of the campfire cast a golden hue over the scene. The tepid wind roused the trees, and the scent of freshly bloomed wildflowers was prominent in the air.

He took in the joy of his exultant family, bonded together by hope and the pursuit of a better life. The camaraderie was a temporary release from the baggage of an unimaginably difficult time they had previously experienced. Moments like this were rare for him and always bound to end in a trice, and he’d once again return to a life of bloodshed. 

Arthur believed himself to be a living, breathing embodiment of a tragedy, with an intrinsic reflection of worthlessness pinned from birth and condemned to a life of misfortune. His years would pass him by, slow as cold molasses and equally bitter, but when your paths crossed, those beliefs waned, and your saccharine nature made his life sweeter.

He took a thoughtful sip from his beer, and his gaze soon fell upon you, as it did multiple times throughout the night. While gossiping with the girls or grabbing a drink for yourself, you felt his eyes on you. You didn’t mind of course and rather relished in the fact that he spent his time admiring you, and you didn’t let it go unnoticed as you would return the glances with the warmest of smiles.

He remembered the first time you had spoken to him, those exhaled words engraved into his wandering thoughts on that one summery day. “‘Course, though I ain’t much of a dancer.” He finally answered, and rose from his seat, abandoning the beer he once held to take your hand–your touch was warm, and he dipped his head down to hide the faint smile that formed on the corner of his mouth.

You assured him with a simple That’s alright, as you guided him beside Dutch’s tent, and he captured you in the circle of his arms, with one hand resting on your lower back whilst the other interlaced with your own. Your hand rested on the juncture of his neck and shoulder, fingers slipping beneath his undone collar. You pressed your ruddy cheeks to his chest—his jacket held the scent of gun oil, rich leaves, and a hint of musk that always attracted you. 

“I thought you said you weren’t much of a dancer? You seem to be doing good to me.”

His chuckle reverberated through his empty lungs, each rib chiming in harmony. “To you,” He emphasized. “Maybe not to others.”

“That’s true.”

His heart was sent into a fluttering frenzy as it beat fiercely against his ribs, threatening to break them as you pressed closer. It lasted longer than a moment before you moved your head away to glance at him with perpetual admiration. The simple way you looked at him, and truly saw him like no other had made him sink into the deepest peace he had ever known. And the gleam of stars matched that of your eyes as you stared deeply into his, and the melodic trill filled your ears.

The departing footsteps of Dutch and Molly were overlooked as you both were in wonderment, swaying in each other’s embrace. He spun you around once, your long flowy dress flaring beneath you. When you returned to his embrace, your eyes trailed over his features and landed at the seam of his lips. Arthur reaches for your face, his thumb brushing your lip, and all he can do is wait for that simple nod you give for him to close the gap between you.

Your tent’s flaps were closed, providing you both privacy from the outside world as the party subdued. You listened to nature's symphony take over, the small crackle of the dying fire, the winds whistling, and the song of an owl you’d sometimes hear before you fell asleep. 

You had distanced yourselves from the party early, conversing with one another for most of the night. About life, the past, and each other. He preferred your company over any party, listening with much intent to your stories as you spoke with immense passion. Every other sound apart from your voice he tuned out. 

When the conversation had simmered and there wasn’t much else to say, you took the opportunity to finally thank him, hands folded in your lap.

“For what?”

“For dancing with me. I haven’t had this much fun in… awhile.” You finally looked at him after staring at your hands.

“Yeah, I know. Me too.” A deep sigh escaped him, and he took your hands in his, thumb caressing your knuckles. “I wish… I could give you something better than this.”

“Arthur,” You moved onto his lap. “Stop that. It doesn’t matter to me where we are. You’re here with me. That’s all.” You reassured his doubts, hand cupping his cheek.

He allowed himself to look at you and softened at your gaze. The dreaminess of your pretty features allayed him. It was apparent how much you both had wanted each other at this moment as the taste of longing glimmered in your irises, and the lack of doubts and reluctance within the warm space fueled your confidence to reconnect your lips with his once more. You gently wrapped your arms around his neck, feeling the ends of his hair prickle your skin. 

The simple motion of Arthur laying you on your back, and drifting over you, sent a swarm of flittering butterflies within your chest. His kisses were as delicate as the shimmer of moonlight on water. He moved downward to your neck, close to your ear as he whispered how beautiful you looked tonight. His hand trailed you with need, slipping beneath your skirt, and showing you how much you truly meant to him until the night turned day.

As they both ate together, talking about random things. (Y/N) didn't bring up the topic of anniversary's since she wanted to see what would happen if she just let the day happen and not make anything happen.

Once Adam was done with his breakfast, he placed his dishes in the sink and washed them off. "I wish I could stay here longer babe, but I gotta get to Sera, she needs something important. I don't fuckin know I wasn't paying attention." (Y/N) looked at Adam with a little disappointment, "Aww, but you've been working with Sera for weeks, and I was hoping you would clear you schedule today. I wanted to spend some time with you."

Adam gave (Y/N) a smile and walked up to and lead to her level. "I know baby, but Sera needs this, according to her 'I need to do my part, in my Heavenly responsibilities." Adam said trying to imamate Sera, but it was really bad. "I'll be home in a few hours." Adam kissed her forehead and flew upstairs to get ready.

Sighed disappointedly and picked up the leftover dishes on the table and put them in the sink, but she had hope that Adam was going to do something special for her when he came down stairs.

As (Y/N) was cleaning up breakfast, Adam was about to walk out the door. "Later babe." Thats all he said before a shut the door and flew away. He didn't even say 'I love you.' or 'Happy Anniversary.'

Now instead of feeling sad, she felt angry and sad. She had a whole day planned for them, after breakfast (Y/N) wanted to their favorite cafe for their favorite trats and drinks, then go to the park where they had their first date. It was a picnic date, then they would come home and watch the first movie they watched together, and after words. (Y/N) would make Adam his favorite food, ribs, and maybe some nightly action in the bedroom. ;)

Having these feelings inside her, jumble up into a big mess. She fell to her knees and cried. (Y/N) didn't know why, maybe it was because he forgot, or because she thought that Adam didn't love as much anymore.

Either way, she was still very upset at Adam.

*A few Hours Later*

The whole day, until nightfall. (Y/N) spent crying or feeling sorry for herself and her marriage. She remembers how things were so much simpler then when they first got married, Adam used to make time for her and only her.

He would always shower her in love, attention, and affection. As she would do the same thing to him. But with these past few weeks, and Adam disappearing for hours, gone for entire nights even. (Y/N) feared that her and Adam's marriage was dying.

As she was on the couch with a blanket wrapped around her, watching the movie that her and Adam were meant to watch together. The door suddenly opened to reveal Adam, with a smile on his face that used to make (Y/N) melt, but instead she saw it as a stupid boy look.

"Hey babe." Adam said and walked up to (Y/N) to leaned down to kiss her. But the damage was done, and (Y/N) felt a wave of frustration wash over her as she pushed his face back with her hand. "Piss of Adam." (Y/N) said, clearly annoyed.

Adam looked at (Y/N) in confusion but he changed the look on his face. "Look (Y/N), I know that is short notice and your pissed off at me for something. But I really need you to and get dressed for an event." (Y/N) looked at with her 'death stare.' More annoyed than ever that Adam not only forgot their anniversary but also had the audacity to ask her to an event, possible one that would make him look better.

"I would rather choke on a sandpaper cock than do that, but then again. Being married to you, there really is no difference since you are quite a dick yourself." (Y/N) said as put on half on the blanket on her head for warmth.

"Babe listen, the clock is ticking here, and we don't have much time. So, I need you to get dressed right now." "Piss off!" (Y/N) said while filling her husband off. At the point, Adam was getting really annoyed with his wife's actions, he walked and stood in front of her, then tore the blanket off (Y/N) and leaned Infront of her face. "I am giving you one more chance wifey. Go and get ready for the event, otherwise I'll make you."

(Y/N) stood up and stared at Adam for a moment before she slapped him.

Adam held his face for a few seconds before he grabbed her waist and picked her up and put her on his shoulder. "Adam what are you-" "Sorry babe, but we don't have a lot of time." Adam said while holding (Y/N) tightly as she struggled and yelled. Adam led (Y/N) out of the house and flew away.

*A few minutes later*

Adam had taken (Y/N) to a dark spot in Heaven, she didn't care where she was, she wanted to get out of Adam's grip. Once Adam landed on the ground, he finally put (Y/N) down after what seemed like hours but it actually 15-20 minutes' worth of flying.

(Y/N) landed hard on her ass, but once she got up, she started scolding Adam, as he had a stupid smile on his face, almost like a smirk. "What the fuck Adam?! If you couldn't tell already, I'm very pissed at you. And you wanna know why? It's because you forgot our-"

Before (Y/N) could finish her sentence, the lights suddenly turned on to reveal a bunch of her and Adam's friends dressed up, fairy lights, a bunch of her and Adam's favorite food and alcohol on a table in one corner and a stage.

"Surprise!" Everyone said. (Y/N) covered her mouth in shock, finally figuring out what was going on. Adam still had that smile on his face as he leaned down. "Happy anniversary babe." He said and kissed (Y/N)'s cheek, she then turned her head to him. "You did all this for me?"

Adam nodded and snaped his fingers that changed (Y/N)'s outfit into a beautiful dress, transformed her hair into her favorite style, and gave her some light makeup on her face. "No-one else but for you. You're my angel (Y/N), and I love you." (Y/N) smiled at her outfit and Adam's beautiful words. She jumped up and hugged him then kissed his lips.

Adam wanted to take a step further and decided to dip (Y/N) in the process. Their clapped and cheered for the couple. Once they pulled away, (Y/N) whispered to her husband. "I'm sorry for slapping you." "And I'm sorry for dragging you out of the house like that." They both chuckled and had one more kiss.

*A few more hours later*

(Y/N) and Adam were having a great time at their party, some friends giving them gifts, others sharing funny stories about them before/after they got married.

As (Y/N) talking to one of her friends, Adam stood up on the stage. Grabbing everyone's attention; including (Y/N)'s.

"This is my biggest gift for my beautiful wife, I love you (Y/N)."

(Y/N) walked slowly to the stage with a look of shock on her face.)

felix was out of town again, so your weekly hangout had to be over video. felix, being sunshine personified, still managed to warm you up through the screen. it was getting late for you, though, and felix noticed before you did that your eyelids were starting to get heavy. you protested against his you need sleep! i’ll be here when you wake up, so please go to bed! but felix knew how to coax you into listening. after all, he knew you better than most, and he cared about you even more. he said so, asking you to promise that you’ll call as soon as you wake up. the beaming smile on his face that appeared after your promise truly left you breathless, and all the more certain to call him every day, if that’s what he wanted. you could even hear that smile when he picked up the phone, and his signature warmth filled your chest as soon as he said you kept your promise!

seungmin wanted to take you to an arcade, so you both could let off some steam in a lighthearted, cost-effective way. while that sounded good in theory, you both realized that was impossible when the stress and cost of the claw machine overtook your night. it was still fun, and neither of you would give up until at least one plushie was in your arms. on your 23rd try, you couldn’t hide your furrowed brow or frustrated huff when the plushie slipped out of your claw fingers at the last second. seungmin laughed beside you, saying you look ridiculous right now. you frowned, and, still laughing but not wanting to kick you while you were down, seungmin clarified that it’s cute. you were grateful for the neon lights, hoping they blended with the blush on your skin to save your dignity, as the smile that grew on your face gave too much away. seungmin must not have noticed because he just slid into place in front of the claw machine. as you watched him focus, however, you noticed that a smile never left his face, despite failed attempt after failed attempt.

jeongin knew something was on your mind when you were less enthused than normal during his shopping haul. he made himself comfortable near your spot on his bed, saying you can tell me, you know? only if you want, though. you smiled, cherishing the ease with which jeongin pulled out your trusting side. without going too much into it–you still wanted to enjoy his fashion show–you admitted that you had been more stressed than normal lately, probably creeping your way toward burnout. he sighed, understanding completely and immediately, and asked what can i do to make you feel better? like magic, that alone made your world shine brighter, but you asked him to continue showing off his clothes, because that was as close as you could come to admitting how much better he made you feel just by being there.

Maybe it's the wind gently blowing through your hair. Or the contribution of the sun by illuminating your face, allowing a better view of the tone of your eyes. Simply wonderful like those well-formed clouds that adorned the sky.

It was wonderful, magical, pretty… How can a person look so pretty and so real at the same time? You were there, right there. By your side, doing whatever you're doing and thinking about whatever you're thinking about. He can feel you, he can see you. a/n: i had this come to me in a dream, so i thought i'd just make this a fic by putting it here. also, i noticed that sam doesn't have that many fanfics here in tumblr. i would like to have the honor of adding more sam golbach fanfics in this app :D i've been devoid of sam golbach fics, i decided to write my own.

you wake up to the gentle glow of daylight seeping through the curtains, casting a soft haze in your room. rubbing the sleep from your eyes, you glance outside and get excited. the world outside is transformed into a winter wonderland, the ground blanketed in a pristine layer of snow. a delighted smile stretches across your face as you realize it's a snow day.

unable to contain your excitement, you nudge sam gently, rousing him from his slumber. "sam," you whisper, your voice brimming with anticipation. "it's snowing!"

sam stirs, his eyes blinking open as he registers your words. a sleepy smile tugs at his lips, and he peers at you with warmth in his gaze. "snow day, huh?" he murmurs, his voice still heavy with sleep.

you nod eagerly, practically bouncing on the bed. "yes! it's my first snow day! can we go outside and play in the snow?"

sam chuckles softly, his fingers reaching out to brush a strand of hair behind your ear. "of course, let's go have some fun."

together, you shuffle into the kitchen, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee filling the air. as sam flips pancakes on the stove, you assist him, making sure they turn out fluffy and golden. the sound of sizzling bacon and the clinking of utensils create a symphony of morning bliss.

after indulging in a hearty breakfast, you both retreat to your rooms to change into your winter attire. bundled up in layers of warm clothing, hats, and scarves, you meet sam by the front door, excitement dancing in your eyes.

hand in hand, you step out into the winter wonderland. the snowflakes fall gently, each one a delicate masterpiece. your breath hangs in the air like mist as you traverse the untouched canvas of white, your laughter ringing out like music.

together, you make snow angels, your bodies imprinting on the snow with childlike enthusiasm. the pure joy radiates from both of you, and in that moment, nothing else matters but the beauty of the winter landscape and the warmth between you.

as the chill begins to nip at your noses and fingertips, you retreat back to the cozy warmth of your home. inside, the aroma of hot chocolate envelops you, and sam's smile shines brighter than ever as he hands you a steaming mug.

cuddled on the couch, wrapped in blankets, you lean against sam's chest, his arms encircling you protectively. the soft glow of the fireplace illuminates the room as you scroll through the movie options.

the flickering light dances across both of your faces, creating a mesmerizing scene. your eyes meet, and without needing words, you know you're exactly where you're supposed to be—safe and loved.

throughout the day, you share stories, laughter, and stolen kisses. the world outside may be cold, but in each other's arms, you find solace and warmth beyond measure.

as the credits roll on the final movie, you find yourself in a state of contentment. the day has been filled with magic, and you couldn't have asked for a more perfect snow day.

with a contented sigh, you snuggle closer to sam, the beating of his heart lulling you into a peaceful slumber. outside, the snow continues to fall, but in your cozy haven, love and happiness abound, etching this winter day into your hearts forever.

Jesus not only shows us the path to life, but plants treasures of joy along the way.
