it was.. one of the times when lux had found himself too caught up in his own head, probably the worst times for him really, that kwang had come over. he’d never really understand what it was about him, but probably the fact that he could be pushy and irritating, whilst also comforting at the same time, which had lux responding to what he said, or what he was told, and this time the words did make lux’s gaze turn to look at kwangsun. he hadn’t even realised then they’d been talking, but the statement makes him stay silent for a few moments longer– “i don’t think.. i’ve ever said i didn’t have a soul?” he frowned a little, but he supposed he could see where that was coming from honestly. a lot of time, it didn’t feel like lux had a soul or was really human– so many years spent taking that away from him, those thoughts and feelings, it did leave him feeling more like an empty shell. but he sighed now, “can we sleep for a while?”

lux laughed a little at the comment, finding himself a little more amused than he probably should’ve been honestly. “are you sure it’s not just you that’s the asshole?” so maybe he was a little bit tipsy from his work that evening, or he was just in a good mood in general, but there wasn’t much denying that kwangsun was an ass.. not all the time, but he did kind of come across as it an awful lot.

They had slipped away into one of the private rooms at their gambling halls. It’s been a while since they had managed to have a moment alone, since they were able to talk.He wasn’t sure if Jihoon meant that in a good way or a bad way- it wouldn’t be surprising if he meant it negatively, after everything that’s happened. But for Minseok, his heart raced in the good way- even if it shouldn’t be. Sometimes he caught himself watching Jihoon. This was unusual for him, as he usually preferred to be the one being watched- having the attention. But he liked watching Jihoon have conversations with their members- because in the beginning it didn’t seem like he talked much at all. It felt like Minseok was looking at something special. But then he’d see Jihoon talking with Chanmi, and that familiar feeling of dread filled him again and he had to tear his eyes away. It wasn’t like Minseok was trying to tear them apart. He just didn’t know what to do. 

“Mine too,” he muttered, his eyes searching Jihoon’s. In the comfort of a quiet room that seemed like it’d hold his secrets, Minseok leaned in and pressed his lips against Jihoon’s, a soft peck more than anything else. It was selfish of him, but they hadn’t kissed before- and he wanted to sate his curiosity before he gave Jihoon up for good. He wondered if Jihoon understood the meaning behind it. It felt bittersweet. “I don’t want to ruin our friendship. Or your relationship,” he says, glancing down at his shoes. “So we should end this. Whatever this is,” he gestured with his hands, a frown on his face. He had to snuff out this flame before it grew too big, he had to let this be the end of it. It was an accident, he told himself- that’s all this was. All it could be.
