I'm intrigued, what archetype does this Enjolras character have?
Sorry I haven't seen the source media yet.
Okay so first, when I'm talking about character archetypes, I'm not going by any official academic basis, I'm just talking about the motivations and personalities of characters.
You'll get snarky characters with rough pasts who hide it with sarcasm, like Artemisia Jacobs or Gavroche. You'll get angsty and lonely characters who want to be accepted, like Grantaire or Connor Murphy. You'll get angry and revenge-motivated characters like Anakin Skywalker or Lyme or Gale Hawthorne. You'll get upbeat and cheerful characters that are surprisingly insightful, like Devon Miller or Chuck. You'll get characters who are used and manipulated like Ender Wiggin or Luke Castellan. You'll get antiheroes, soldiers of virtue, kindhearted loners, bashful lovers, etc. etc. etc.
Enjolras is a character who is very interesting, because he does not seem to have any of the common character motivations. He's from the book/movie/musical Les Miserables. He's the guy in the red jacket who tries to overthrow the government.
He's not, actually, a soldier of virtue, although you might think that. Because that would imply that a) he is always firmly morally good and merciful, b) that he's less radical and more "safe" in terms of what "good" is, and c) that he has some sort of non-self-imposed quest or duty to fulfill that he is working towards. Nobody asked him to do what he did, at least not in canon.
Enjolras is a revolutionary who is in it for the ideals. Most revolutionary characters we get in media have some sort of external/other motivation. (Katniss Everdeen's city was destroyed, Thomas had lived through years of government abuse, even Evan Hansen, who fits in as the spokesperson for a large group about a social issue, ended up there completely by accident.)
Enjolras is canonically born into a rich family. He could have a perfectly normal life, with food and schooling and a good job, if he wanted to. No canonical event happened that pushed Enjolras into the role of a rebel. He had no incentive other than he wanted to do the right thing and make things better for people.
And the thing is, lots of people don't write characters like this because they can easily be one-dimensional and boring. But Enjolras manages to balance both. He is capable of being terrible. He makes bad decisions, but they are barely ever self-serving. He is intensely and passionately focused on what he believes in.
(He's also pretty strongly, although probably unintentionally, autistic-coded. Some of his traits that people find 'unrealistic' are perfectly normal behaviors from a neurodivergent perspective.)
He is in it because he cares, not because he was coerced. He has everything to lose. Even if he succeeds, his quality of life would probably end up worse (he'd probably be less wealthy, less comfortable, etc.) than if he'd never done anything.
He does it because he cares, and it is a very very human thing to care. A lot of times authors miss the mark on this. People can, and do, fight against injustices even when those injustices haven't had a catastrophic effect on themselves. Because people are wired to care, and that is what makes Enjolras so human.
Caring about the world around them is a valid motivation for a character to do something drastic. It doesn't always have to be personal. And more media should honestly lean into that side of human nature rather than just the gritty, nihilistic, 'nothing-to-lose' mentality that most stories around rebellion seem to have.
Sorry this got long.

John Proctor
Proctor, John and Elizabeth (17th century) Victims of the Salem Witches trials in 1692–93.
John and Elizabeth Proctor (also spelled Procter) were well-to-do farmers in Salem Farms (now Peabody) when the witch hysteria erupted in Salem Village, Massachusetts. John Proctor was openly critical of the trials and of the fits of the girls who cried out against their neighbours as witches. His criticism backfired tragically on him and his wife.
After Rebecca Nurse was examined by the magistrates on charges of witchcraft, Proctor went home in anger, declaring that the girls should all be put to the whipping post before everyone was accused of witchcraft. One of the girls who had fits allegedly caused by the witches was Mary Warren, one of Proctor’s servants. On the morning of Nurse’s examination by the magistrates, Proctor went home in a rage over the injustice of it. He told Warren that if she were indeed afflicted, then he wished her to be more afflicted, because she and the other girls were accusing innocent people. When Warren went into fits, he threatened to thrash her to beat the fits out of her—a common treatment for hysterical and mad behaviour at the time.
On April 11, 1692, Elizabeth Proctor was cried out against as a witch and arrested. John went to her public examination to defend her. reverend Samuel Parris’ manservant, John Indian, testified that Elizabeth had appeared to him in spirit, attempted to choke him and had tried to get him to sign her devil’s book.
Abigail Williams and Ann Putnam testified that Elizabeth had appeared to them many times and had caused them great afflictions. She had asked them to sign her book too. Mary Warren said that Elizabeth forced her to sign the book.
When Elizabeth denied the accusations, the girls fell into fits and screamed that they saw Elizabeth’s apparition sitting on a beam above them. The girls then cried out against John Proctor as a Wizard, making him the first man to be accused of witchcraft in the Salem hysteria. The girls said they saw his apparition approach other women who were present at the hearing. Those women, Goodwife Pope and Goodwife Bibber, responded by immediately falling into fits. The next day, both John and Elizabeth were sent to prison along with several other victims.
As soon as they were sent to jail, deputies of the court went to the Proctor farm and seized all of the valuable assets. The cattle were sold or slaughtered for shipment to the West Indies. Beer and soup were emptied from their containers so that the deputies could take the containers. They left nothing for the Proctors’ two children, William and Sarah.
The Proctors were tried together on August 5 in the Court of Oyer & Terminer and condemned to death. Elizabeth “pleaded her belly,” meaning that she was pregnant. According to law, a pregnant woman could not be executed, because her unborn child was considered to be innocent. Execution would still take place, but after the child was born. John Proctor was sentenced to be hanged.
Their children, William and Sarah, also were accused of witchcraft. William protested his innocence and was tortured by having his neck tied to his heels until his blood gushed forth from his nose.
In desperation, John wrote a petition to the court protesting the innocence of himself and Elizabeth and likening the trials to the Spanish Inquisition. Thirty-one of their former neighbours in Ipswich and 20 of their friends in Salem signed a petition attesting to their virtuous characters and lives. The petition had no influence.
John soon realised that they could not get fair trials with the girls’ hysterical fits being allowed as testimony. A few days before the Proctors’ own trials—and four days after the execution of Nurse—John wrote to Increase Mather and four other leading Boston ministers, asking them for a change of venue to Boston, or, if that were not possible, then to proceed in Salem with new magistrates who were less likely to be swayed by the hysterical girls.
He complained that the accused were already being condemned before they were put on trial. He also protested the torture of his children.
Mather was not swayed, answering on August 1 that “the Devil may sometimes represent an innocent person.”
John was sent to the gallows with the others on August 19. reverend Nicholas Noyes refused his request for prayer, on the grounds that he did not confess that he was a witch. John went to his death with dignity.
Elizabeth gave birth in January 1693. By then, the witch hunts were over, and she was spared her death sentence. However, she had no legal rights and could not reclaim any of the property owned by her husband. In 1696 she petitioned the court for a reversal of her verdict in order to restore her civil rights, but without success. In 1711, the judgements were reversed for 22 survivors and their families, and small amounts of restitution were paid.

When Monique got home that afternoon, she checked the mail and was overjoyed to discover they had won the Euromillions - Jennifer must have entered when she was in the city. She ripped open the envelope and found a cheque for §100,000! Excitedly, she ran inside the house to show Jennifer.
The pair hugged, overcome with happiness at the news.
"You know what this means, don't you?" asked Jennifer.
"We can pay off that big house loan and still have some left over for Elliott's inheritance?" replied Monique.
Jennifer chuckled, "No, silly! We can finally afford to fund a railway connection into SimCity! Now our friends and neighbours will have opportunities they won't have had for years - not since we all moved here! There will be new jobs and we'll be able to get shipments of things we haven't had for ages!"
Monique shook her head. "When we moved here, I thought you were finally going to start being a bit selfish with your money, but you just never will, huh?"
Jennifer got on the computer and immediately sent the money off to SimCity to fund a railway line out to Wildflats Peninsula.
With that, downtown is fully unlocked and brings with it so many other unlocks! We add +5 to our Sim Multiplier, as well as +5 CAS Sims. Supplies are much easier to come by, so businesses can now sell items they didn’t craft themselves (which of course we haven't been doing up till now... ahem). Plus hobby and witch lots can now be reached.
Downtown also unlocks a few other careers: the Athletic career, once a stadium is built; the Military career, once a Military Base is built; the Slacker (Freelancer) career; the Artist career, for any Sim who sells 5 Masterpieces; the Show Business career; the Journalism career; and the Architecture career, for Sims with an Art degree. Exciting!
I'm not actually attaching a subhood just because I personally don't like Crumplebottom and vampires and so on. My Sims will still be restricted to Wildflats Peninsula only but will 'travel to SimCity' for their job if needed.
Monique left her wife to it. She rolled a want to earn a skill point and, knowing she would need more Charisma in her chosen career eventually, she put the Thinking Cap on and stood in front of Jennifer's lectern.

The next day, Cheetah aged up into an adult cat! That was quick!
The family took advantage of the last bit of Autumn warmth and spent most of the day in their pool playing Timla Tourneau.
Then, when Elliott went inside to shower and change for dinner, Monique and Jennifer hopped into the hot tub for some adult fun. They've been all over each other this round - I don't have ACR; they just keep rolling Woohoo wants!
And the round came to an end that night as the season changed. Just for fun, have a posed family picture for the first time ever! I was inspired by the various Simblrs I read (@rena-sims and @keoni-chan in particular) to download poseboxes and give it a go because I think they're cute. I wish I'd had them sooner but never mind! I think from Round 9 there are some photos around the houses as well!
Anyway, lots of progress this round! Monique's business reached Rank 5 so she will join the Business career at the start of next round and start working on her LTW. Jennifer reached the top of her career and unlocked the ability to finance a connection to Downtown. If and when the town has another §100k handy, we'll fund that so that we can finally visit hobby lots and open businesses selling things that haven't been handmade.
We also added another community lot, which unlocks one more CAS point bringing our total up to 7. I need to add another family soon!
Jen is now 54, Monique is 44 and Elliott is 10.
Okay, on to the Hudsons!

Wildflats Peninsula BACC
Round 7 - Summer 2 (Part 2) - The Hansen-Wiggins Family
Back to my BACC for a few rounds! Let's see what occurs in this (very slowly) growing town!
ROS is a simple one for the Hansen-Wiggins family this round - someone needs to buy a new outfit. Simple enough! On we go!
Jennifer decided that she needed a new outfit to suit her more senior role in Politics and her advancing age.
She entered Witchy Wearables and asked Iris for some advice.
"I don't think I should be showing quite so much of my midriff any more. It was great when I was in my 20s but I've been living here for 21 years now and I'm nearly 50!" she said. "Honestly, it's just a relief that you're here to help us all update our wardrobes at last!"
Iris nodded and helped Jennifer to pick out a similar but more mature outfit to suit her.
Back at home, Monique was helping nooboo Elliott to learn how to talk. He wasn't enjoying it.
"Play?" he asked. "Mama, up! Play!"
"Oh. I guess you pretty much already know how to talk, huh? Okay, nooboo, let's go and play!"
A short while later, Jennifer burst through the front door to show off her new outfit to her wife.
"Ta daa!" she proclaimed. "Do you like it?"
Monique looked at her. "I do! I didn't think you needed to change just because you're older than you used to be but you look very cute."
"Thanks, love. I hope people will think I look more mayoral in these wide-leg trousers. I'm so close I can taste it!"

While Monique was teaching Elliott, Jen quickly popped down to the park to check on the contractors' work.
They had turned a small area behind the Birch Alley Playground into a beautiful but basic park. It faces the main drag where everyone's market stalls are located. I'm no builder and this is about all I can manage so I'm quite proud of this!
There's a small stage for local music performances. I've since had to remove the keyboard and change where the drums, microphone and chairs are a bit to make sure everything is accessible, but it's still basically the same.
At the rear is a fenced-off basketball court where sporty Sims can work on their hobby.
There's a small gazebo in the middle for a bit of privacy.
And rather than a grill and tables, there are two open-air eating locations so that our Sims can get a taste of something exotic.
There's also a small fishing pond in the corner so that everyone has the chance to fish for their supper if they so choose!

When Monique got back from work, Jennifer took the opportunity to work on her Logic skill. She needed a couple more skill-ups before she could become the Mayor and knew it would take a little while longer. Thankfully, her stargazing didn't result in anything strange occurring this time.
The family all woke up and got on with their morning routine the next day as though they had been doing this forever. Jennifer had the day off again so, even though it was Sunday, Monique was planning to go into work again.
But first, she tried to teach Elliott how to talk. It took a little bit longer than his other toddler skills as he really wasn't feeling it that morning (look at the face!) but eventually he got there and could chatter away with the best of them.

That's the end of the round for the Hansen-Wiggins family! Still as in love as ever, Jen is now 64 and Monique is 54.
Let's go on to the Hudson family!

The family spent the afternoon and evening in the hot tub relaxing.
"I really love it at uni. I'm so glad I went; it's so great. Thank you so much for building it."
"Well, it's Mr and Mrs Neetor who are responsible. I just got it built; they funded the whole thing! I'll tell them how happy you are that it's an option now."
Over dinner in their swimsuits, Jen told Elliott of her hopes of him graduating with a 4.0.
"Don't put too much pressure on him, babe. He's literally the first person from our small town to go to university. Elliott, we'll be proud of you whatever happens, okay?" said Monique.

When Jen got home, she was already missing her little boy. She wanted to invite him over for dinner and see how he was getting on. He came over gladly and greeted her with a hug. He noticed his best bud Sage walking past and jogged down the path to catch up with him as well.
"Bro, you'll love it at uni - you've got to come! There are so many hot women there! I know I'm with Estelle but it would be the perfect place for you!"
Sage laughed heartily. "I'm only 15, mate! It's a few years till I can come!"
"Yeah, I know, but you've absolutely got to. It's so good."

That night, Jen was grateful for the clear night and the lack of houses behind theirs. Even if she wasn't going to travel, she could observe the stars and dream.
Monique got on with her nightly ablutions hoping she hadn't offended her wife too much. They'd been in love for nearly 30 years and married for nearly 25 so she knew how to take the rough with the smooth when it came to Jen - and there had been so many more smooth years than rough ones.

That evening, she and Monique disagreed about their future when Monique suggested that use Jen's bonus to leave their empty nest and travel SimNation.
"Travel? I can't travel! I'm the Mayor! I have to stay here and ensure that the town keeps developing, at least until I know there's another Sim in place to take over when I leave!"
Monique chuckled. "I know, I know. I was only kidding. But aren't you going to retire? You're nearly at that age..."
"Not while the town still needs me, Mo. Not a chance."

When Jen got home, she immediately put her bonus to good use and spent part of it on a new rental lot for Wildflats Peninsula. If anyone was looking for a larger place to live but couldn't afford a house of their own, they would be able to rent a semi-detached home now.
She also checked to see if there was anyone new she could befriend but no one was online.

Monique and Jennifer had to rush home to get to work. Jen decided to make use of Elliott's car. They were 'keeping it safe' for him while he was off at uni so she might as well use it and not have to hear that awful helicopter every morning!
While at work, she got an offer from a large business to build an international seaport nearby. She's had this offer before and she was no more interested now than she was then. She turned it down, and received increased trucking and haulage profits to Wildflats as a result. Another §50,000 bonus! Nice!

The next morning, the Hansen-Wigginses dropped Elliott off at university bright and early before work. He aged up to a Young Adult and rolled Family as his secondary aspiration, making him a Knowledge/Family Sim.* Both of his mums hugged him tightly and suppressed their tears as their little one walked confidently towards the dorms and his new adventure.
*I've decided to assign secondary aspirations as soon as someone turns 18, whether they go to uni or not. Up till now I've been rolling for them as soon as a teen ages to adult - now I'll roll for them when a teen goes to uni as well. However, if a teen goes to uni, I won't choose their Lifetime Want until they graduate and I know what their major was and how well they did.
Side note: I will play the university at the very end of the rotation but, for reference, I didn't make it myself - I downloaded Cactus Canyon University by @aondaneedles and renamed it. It was a small desert-themed university that came with 5 YA Sims, which was perfect for my needs, so a massive thank you to Aonda!
