The expression on Alana’s face is not just tension here, and when I watched it I felt that way about the strain in her voice as well. It is the way she looks and speaks when she's experiencing powerful feelings of horror, disgust and sorrow. Like she did when she got angry with Jack for letting Will get too close, before she went and screamed in her car in S1 E13. Like she did after Will tried to kill Hannibal.

I wonder exactly what her intuition is telling her here, especially since by now she has seen the new dynamic between Hannibal and Will over dinner, and she doesn't like it. I don’t think her tactless puzzlement towards them during that dinner scene was sexual jealousy, I think she was asking herself why Hannibal and Will were acting like a couple of homoerotic murder guys in a Hitchcock movie.

Will is doing what Hannibal does in more ways than just following his curiosity as to whether Chiyoh would kill. He says, "It was you I wanted to set free," just as Hannibal always said he wanted what was best for Will. He's engaging in the same kind of self-serving logic.

Even if it's cruel, sadistically putting her in a place of terror and pain, at risk of her life and safety, he's doing what he thinks is best, in the name of another person's freedom.

My desktop image was a florescent (soft green tint) altered shot of him asleep on the hospital couch for years. He was so peaceful looking that I could just close all windows and close my eyes for a minute it, mirroring him when I needed a break from computerized stress. A whole mood.

I lost the image when my computer got spilled on and the I've only been able to find shots that are tungsten (soft orange red tint) ever since.
