i was listening to this podcast on spotify called RedFem while driving today and it was,, interesting. i finished 2 full episodes and listened to parts of a few others. the ones i listened to were hosted by Jen Izaakson and Hannah Berrelli who are both lesbians. (idk if other episodes have different hosts).
i think its an ok podcast to listen to regarding radfem issues when ur just trying to see what other women think abt certain topics/events. my one issue is that they seemed to jump between different topics a lot within episodes. maybe thats how podcasts usually are, idk i dont usually listen to them lol. also one of the hosts (jen, im pretty sure if i followed the voices right lol) said something abt not believing in multiple personality disorder and adhd which is… a choice. but other than that it was overall a good listen. ill prob listen to other episodes as well. anyway if u have any other podcast recommendations lmk!!

Gyns you gotta listen. You might not always agree but Jesus fuck is it refreshing to hear some goddamn analysis.

No, Hannah. He’s happy because he doesn’t have to put up with cis people like you and your unbearable obsession with trans people :) hope this helps!

Re my claims about cult like behaviour, I think that many of your followers are being disingenuous about this.
There is nothing wrong with being politically organised or have a strong movement. The issue arises when there is a documented atmosphere of not questioning certain women, members being afraid to cross the leaders or to even discuss shortcomings of an organisation. This is an issue when it is present in any political movement not just radical feminism.
If you read the lawsuit against FiLiA, for example, this kind of behaviour is alleged and described severally. But what is even more telling is the way almost no radfems on Twitter talked about it or retweeted any tweets about it. Only a few like Hannah Berrelli did and those tweets gained low traction unlike her others.
In the UK, there is definitely a cultlike atmosphere. It’s better for you all to stop denying this and work to fix it.
You don’t know my followers. Leave them alone.
Could you send me a link? I googled "FiLiA lawsuit" but didn’t find it. Only information about "transphobia".
And most radfems aren’t from the UK. We can call it out, but that‘s it. Most of us rely on sharing information, signing petitions and joining projects, if available.

on the topic of why women voted for trump, hannah berrelli (from the redfem podcast) wrote an interesting substack post on this. her argument is that women abstaining from relationships and sex with men in general meant that women weren't driven to vote for the pro-abortion party.
#not sure i find the analysis convincing but it's an interesting take#abortion#radfem#radblr#radical feminism#trump#terfs do touch

i was listening to redfem with hannah berrelli and they were discussing it like "women supposedly use it for "pain relief" and "endometriosis"" like yeah WE DO. it's not supposed, i would be bed bound without my birth control, my endometriosis is debilitating. i feel like a lot of radfems are having an issue of being completely incapable of understanding experiences outside of their own. it's amazing that you only bleed .5oz of blood and cramp for 2 days on your period, im so happy for you. however, me, and thousands of other women are put out of commission because of our periods. i bleed heavily, im in pain for the majority of the month, my legs get numb and heavy. endometriosis isn't this big pharma conspiracy, it's a disease that affects me every day in ways that you'll never be able to wrap your head around.
yall consistently perpetuate the stereotype of women on birth control are just whores that wanna have sex, and act like pcos and endometriosis aren't debilitating diseases
some radfems are so dismissive of women who use birth control for periods. what is wrong with yall

right that’s the core of the issue, they don’t like Kat cause she challenged them, and they hate lesbians because they are polilez, this reads less like a lesbian organization and more like a gang targeting lesbians. I am so incredibly angry at how little attention this situation is getting, Hannah Berrelli tweeted about it (she was also present and tried to defend Kat and stop the assault) and still nothing……
youtube
I would like everyone to take a look at this video, trigger warning for assault on an autistic lesbian, it was disturbing to watch. I personally never paid much attention to Get the L Out, I was vaguely aware of them specially when I had a twitter account, I liked the work they were doing with Lesbian Me Too but I couldn’t personally bring myself to watch their content because the co-founder of the group Angela Wild said in a video that she “chose” lesbianism and that made me uneasy. When I saw the video I thought this is absolutely a case of ableism but when I read the document I was even more horrified, not only did they assault Kat who is a vulnerable adult who did nothing to warrant this cruel treatment but Get the L Out and FiLiA have a repeated pattern of political lesbians facilitating harassment, abuse, assault and ostracization on lesbians. here is the document in question which details the accounts of multiple women and talks about the lawsuit. Please pay attention to what has happened, keep yourself safe if you are in the UK and inform other women specially the lesbians you know. This is why it’s extremely dangerous to allow political lesbians to run a supposed lesbian community.
