Hi, could you do Ashley Marin x reader, where reader is close to the girls but not in their age group if that makes sense? And Hanna finding out with a bunch of angst and a fluffy ending?
Love your work btw ☺️
Tumblr media
ᕚ---ᕘ
The golden rays of sunlight danced through the leaves of the ancient oak trees that surrounded the picturesque suburb as Hanna Marin hurried in her car through the quiet streets of Rosewood on the way to a meeting with her best friends.
When they arrived at the agreed meeting point, a small café in the middle of the city, the girls met to make their plans for continuing their search for A. Aria, with her artistic flair and rebellious spirit, sat in a cozy corner, flipping through the pages of an old novel while Spencer, the intelligent one, and Emily, the caring soul, ordered coffee for the entire group. They smiled when they saw Hanna come in.
"Han, you're late," Spencer teased with a wink as she greeted her friend and pulled her into a quick hug. "Sorry, I had to do something," the blonde replied with a wide grin as she joined Aria at the table with the two of them.
The girls began to put their heads together and discuss what was probably the toughest challenge they had ever faced: How could they finally catch "A" and put an end to the nightmare that had haunted them for months.
"We have to have a plan," Spencer began firmly in a whisper. "We can't just let "A" continue. We have to find out who she is and finally take down that bitch."
"Yes, but we don't know how powerful "A" is or who this person even is. And the police can't and won't help us, especially since that will only make the whole situation worse." Aria spoke with a worried look, earning a nod from Hanna and Emily. Spencer also agreed with her and her thoughts revolved around other ideas that she had in the back of her mind.
When a familiar voice suddenly broke the silence, all four heads snapped up from their thoughts. "Hey girls, can I join you?" you asked with a friendly smile. The girls looked at you, wide grins on all their lips, the joy in their eyes hard to ignore. You had long been an integral part of their lives, especially Hanna's as her mother's best friend, and they loved you for forming a strong bond with them despite the age difference.
"Hey, y/n! Sure, sit down," Hanna greeted you warmly and moved a little to the side to offer you a place next to her on the couch. As you sat down, you immediately pulled her into a side hug and kissed the top of her head as she briefly wrapped her arms around you to return the greeting.
"How are you, y/n? I heard you were in New York for a week at a convention?" Spencer asked politely and with interest, as she herself wanted to get into politics in the future. "I'm fine but I'm exhausted. It was really tiring having several meetings in a row and with 95% of men who constantly want to go against your opinion." You replied, sipping your tea as you looked around and nervously tapped a finger on your thigh.
Emily immediately recognized the nervousness and excitement that you were trying to hide and failing miserably. She frowned at your reaction. “Is everything okay, Y/n?”
You swallowed hard and forced yourself to stay calm when at that moment Ashley walked in and gave you a shocked but furtive look. You nodded quickly, but your gaze remained on her. It was a look full of affection and mystery that made Hanna curious and asked her every time whether there was more between you than just friendship.
The blonde noticed the tender look you continued to give her mother, barely taking your eyes off her as your smile steadily widened. An inexplicable feeling of unrest spread through Hanna's chest as she wondered what was going on behind the closed doors of her mother's world.
ᕚ---ᕘ
The moonlight shone gently through the windows of the Marins' home as Hanna sat on the living room sofa, wrapped in a blanket, waiting for her mother. The clock ticked incessantly and the minutes passed slowly as she nervously tried to keep her focus on the television, her heart pounding loudly in her chest.
Finally, after hours of delay, she heard the soft creak of the door and the muffled voices mixed with loud giggles slowly approaching the living room, their faces marked with an expression of contentment and happiness as Ashley and you stumbled into the living room arm in arm, giving each other passionate kisses without realizing that Hanna was there.
It was only when she cleared her throat and stood up from her seat, folding her arms under her chest, that you separated from each other in shock. "H-hanna, you're still awake?" Ashley asked surprised, pulling her hands from your hips. You bit your lip, your cheeks immediately turning red. Your palms began to sweat while your heartbeat increased rapidly.
„Uh, yeah.. I couldn't sleep." Hanna replied nervously, trying to hide her unease. But she could no longer remain silent. A feeling of fear and confusion washed over her as the images repeated before her eyes, in which you seemed to lose yourself in your intimate togetherness. "I.. I thought you were just best friends. Why didn't you tell me?" she finally stammered, her voice shaking with nervousness.
Ashley and you looked at each other intently, a look of anxiety on your faces. You took a step closer and gently placed a hand on her shoulder. "I'm sorry Hanna. We didn't mean to hurt you. But... it's complicated." You spoke carefully, your voice calm but with a hint of concern.
"Complicated?! What's complicated?" Hanna asked desperately, tears forming in her eyes from the breach of trust. Ashley sighed and stepped closer too, but the blonde stepped back a bit. "Hanna, we wanted to tell you, but we didn't know how you would react. Y/n and I... we've been in a relationship for a few months now."
A mixture of shock and betrayal coursed through the girl as her mother spoke the words. She felt betrayed and confused, not only by her own mother, but also by someone she had thought was one of her best friends. "But you're my mother. And you, y/n.. you've always been there for me." she sobbed, her voice broken.
Ashley gently put her arms around Hanna and pulled her into a hug, but she pushed her away and ran into the room angrily. Her heart was heavy with the countless questions and feelings swirling through her mind. Everything she knew seemed to be called into question in that moment, and she didn't know how to deal with it.
ᕚ---ᕘ
The days passed and Hanna slowly came to terms with the unexpected revelation about her mother and you's relationship. It was a time of change and adjustment for her, but gradually she began to realize that the love she felt for her mother and you at the same time was stronger than any confusion or anger she felt.
Over the next few weeks you tried to regain her trust. You took time for conversations in which she revealed her feelings and fears about losing you if things didn't work out with her mother and tried to strengthen the bond between her again. Even though it was difficult at times, she found comfort and support in you, even though she felt like a fool for months.
One evening, as Hanna sat in her room thinking about everything, she heard quiet voices coming from the kitchen. Curious about what was going on, she quietly crept down the stairs and sat on one of the steps. "I know it was hard for Hanna to accept our relationship," she heard her mother say, her voice soft and loving. "But she will be able to trust you again. You didn't destroy anything, my love."
“I wish I had told her sooner,” you answered her with a sighing tone. "But we thought it would be better to take it slow."
"And we're both glad we finally told her. She's my daughter, possibly yours in the future, and she deserves to know the truth."
Hanna held her breath as she heard her mother's words. A feeling of gratitude washed over her as she realized how much her mother and you cared for her. Despite everything that had happened, she could feel the love between the two of you, and it calmed her troubled heart that her mother had found someone who loved and accepted her for everything.
"I.. I wanted to apologize," Hanna began hesitantly, her voice soft but loud so that you could hear it all the way to the kitchen before she got up from her seat and slowly walked over to you. Both Ashley and you looked up in surprise, your faces lighting up as you noticed the loving smile on her face. "I was angry and confused, especially at you y/n. But I love you both and I want you to be happy."
Tears welled up in both of your eyes as you heard Hanna's words. You jumped up and hugged her tightly, your heart full of gratitude and love. "Thanks, Han." You whispered and you looked at Ashley who nodded with a tender smile and clung to the hug as well. "We love you so much, Hanna."
In that moment, the blonde felt a deep connection with her mother and you. A bond that was stronger than ever. She knew it might not be easy, but she was hopeful that things would last forever between the two of you. And as she lost herself in the arms of her loved ones, she knew that she had finally arrived and had a family that was finally complete - a family of love, acceptance and happiness.

If anyone is interested, I’ve made a Pretty Little Liars fanfic about how the series would unfold if the Liars had made different choices/put in alternate scenarios throughout the show. What new bonds will form? What new betrayals will arise? And most importantly, what new secrets will be uncovered? Because Rosewood was far from the picture-perfect town it claimed to be, and everyone’s got a life no one knows about.
Warning: I hate Ezria, and Ezra’s gonna get bashed, as he should. He’s also gonna be a menace. That is all.

Pretty Little Liars: reimAgined
Hello Liars of tumblr!
I am a huge nerd for the Pretty Little Liars franchise – I adore the books (I’ve been reading them as far back as the original release of ‘Killer’), and while I love the show, I've always been more than a little disappointed that it wasn’t closer to the source material. During spooky season, I began both rereading the books and rewatching the show, and it gave me the creative inspiration to blend together the best bits of each canon into one cohesive narrative, start to finish. With that said, I present to you all my passion project, 'Pretty Little Liars: reimAgined', as what a retooled, more faithful adaptation could look like.
My primary goal is to tackle the books’ canon and adapt it to span across a number of 'seasons' in an episodic fashion - currently my plan is a 7-season format with around 13 episodes apiece, leaving wiggle room for more as I progress. I intend to weave in some aspects from the original show that were either invented FOR the show, or ones that it particularly excelled in translating… but not necessarily the ones people might expect. This will range from minor storylines and interactions to entire episodes from the OG - albeit through a different lens - if I believe it will help to flesh out characters and the tapestry of Rosewood at large, however this is not the priority. I may periodically condense, expand, omit, and/or change the order of storylines and arcs to make them stronger, and so as to cut down on unnecessary filler. I want for there to be nods that both book and show fans alike can appreciate while also keeping them in suspense over how events unfold; it'll feel familiar, but won't be a twin copy.
My overall creative concept is a period piece set in 2006 (so I'm keeping as much of the niche style and dated references from the books as possible), with a sense heightened reality and a focus on themes such as symbolism, luxury, and indulgence. Think less ABC Family/CW vibes and more HBO/FX, American Horror Story vibes: big on suspense, a dark and gothic aesthetic contrasting expensive and chic high society, somewhat realistic yet simultaneously a bit larger-than-life or fantastical, can range from slightly eerie to downright unsettling, and doesn’t shy away from vulgarity or adult themes and imagery, but does so tastefully and in moderation. Rosewood should absolutely DRIP with exorbitant wealth, lust, disdain, competition, and secrets, but in the flavor of Old Money. My vision is of a nice suburb in New England, where every yard has a white picket fence to hide the imperfections from your neighbors, and petty, political cold wars matter to your social standing at the country club.
The rewrite will have a more serious and mature tone: less teen romance (though, as it IS present in the books, there will still be some) and more focus on psychological torture, thriller/horror tones, the mystery surrounding the disappearance of Alison, the identity and motive(s) of ‘A’, and what ‘A’ puts the Liars through.
As of now, I have a very rough draft of the major story beats that I plan on covering, as I think the story starts to fall apart when you don't have your long-term mystery road mapped well in advance. My goal is for each story arc/season to feel well-balanced and important to the over-arching narrative, and the 'A' reveals are a large part of this. The 'A' thread is the most meticulous and delicate, as any misstep leads to inadvertent plot holes, which is exactly what happened to the show. Most importantly, the 'A' motivations need to make sense in relation to the Liars - that means no Shower Harvey's running amok in this fic!
I’m also going to fix some aspects of certain storylines, and the timeline in general, that were either rushed, dragged out, unnecessary, unrealistic, or flat-out didn’t make sense, adjusting the pacing where I deem it necessary (RIP Never Ending November). This is less so with the books, although they do have some instances - Sara Shepard wtf do you MEAN THAT ARIA STOLE THE STARRY NIGHT - and more so what I use from the original show. I want to give the story the proper room to breathe and the space to gradually build suspense, ensuring a structured flow for every episode within each season’s narrative arc.
I’m aging everyone up slightly, so the start of the series will take place on the last day of 9th grade (making the Liars around 15), and the time jump will be about 2 years, to the end of the summer before the girls’ senior year (making the Liars around 17). Hopefully this will make some of the plotlines a little less icky and statutory grapey when it comes to age.
I’ll also be combining book and show characters as I see fit, giving preference to the books. In particular, I'll be utilizing the ensemble of Rosewood Day students in a much larger capacity than the show did, so to increase the number of suspects while cutting down on extraneous random characters, effectively creating a small community of socialites not dissimilar to Gossip Girl. These people have largely known one another since childhood, and that should be reflected in their interactions.
I'm retelling the story through the mind and voice of none other than Alison DiLaurentis, and she will operate in a way similar to Mary Alice Young from Desperate Housewives: secretive, slightly omniscient, gone yet still very much a part of the Liars' world despite her absence, and playfully watching over her friends as they navigate past her disappearance. She serves as a narrator for the Liars’ inner thoughts and monologues, but will frequently provide her own insight on situations, occasionally injecting some dry humor into the series.
Lastly, the Liars will actually... y'know... lie lol. While the show captured their positive traits, it suffered from the fact that the girls either didn't do bad/selfish things at ALL, or they were coerced to by outside factors. The girls in the books are much more self-serving, petty, and willing to do bad things to achieve what they want. There will still be 'A' manipulation, however I want the general sense that the Liars are victims of their own actions. They should be much more uncomfortable in maintaining and balancing their social lives with the threat of ‘A’ always looming, poised to knock them off the top of the totem pole should their secrets be exposed. The outward appearance of perfection should be, at least initially, the driving force for the Liars. They’ll be more rational and cautious, making less immediate boneheaded and/or out-of-character decisions like the show portrayed, and a bit more reluctant to trust one another until after things have unraveled and bound them together.
I’m currently outlining the details for the first 'season', and I'm about halfway done with the prologue, which I plan to post by the end of the week to gauge interest. I'm open to feedback, so please let me know what you all think of my little passion project!

Another “currently thing”… I think I’m gonna make these a series. Anyway…
Currently thinking about writing a story/series about Veronica Hastings x Reader, where reader has had a crush on Mrs. Hastings since high school. They don’t do anything until the friends are graduated from college…
I don’t even want to elaborate anymore because I think it will spoil my ideas but…
Let me know what y’all think. Any additional information/concerns/comments/brainstorming ideas.

crAcked: Chapter 2
Characters: Aria Montgomery, Spencer Hastings, Hanna Marin, Emily Fields, Alison DiLaurentis, Mike Montgomery, Byron Montgomery, Ella Montgomery, Darren Wilden, Jenna Marshall, Toby Cavanaugh, Noel Kahn, Ezra Fitz
TW: Grooming, fire, violence, death
Word Count: 1,861
Author's Note: This is a PLL fanfic that I mainly started writing for myself. It's been a hot sec since I've posted chapter 1 but I finally mustered up the motivation to write chapter 2. Enjoy!
Tumblr media
In all the chaos of Alison's funeral and that scummy cop, Wilden, vaguely threatening Aria and her friends, the small brunette had almost completely forgotten all about how Ezra Fitz had turned up at Ali's funeral. If Aria hadn't been so damn captivated by him, she might've stopped to ask herself why exactly a teacher that had never even met Alison was attending her funeral services. Sure, maybe he wanted to support his students--especially one student in particular--but still, why attend a funeral for someone you'd never even laid eyes upon?
The two of them had only had a brief moment to talk but the short conversation left Aria with more questions than answers. He'd apologized for "being a jerk" and he'd insisted that he cared about her. While she thought it was sweet, more than anything, it just left her feeling very lost.
So lost, in fact, that she hadn't even heard Spencer at first as they were sitting at the Rosewood Grill after the funeral. "Hello, earth to Aria," the brains of the group said. "Do you think Wilden knows about... You know, the...Jenna thing?" Aria let out a deep sigh and ran a hand through her hair. God, I thought we were fucking done with the Jenna thing, she thought to herself. "I don't know, guys. I mean... How could he know? We all promised to keep it a secret, after all..."
The Jenna thing, as in when the girls accidentally not so accidentally blinded Jenna Marshall, the new girl in town.
When Jenna first got to Rosewood, her long dark hair and her stunning green eyes had gotten everyone's attention. She was gorgeous and the minute Aria saw her at Noel Kahn's Halloween party, she knew Alison was threatened by her very presence. Not only was she beautiful, but she had made it clear that she was her own person who could make her own friends. Ali didn't like that, not one bit.
So when the blonde got the opportunity to get back at Jenna and her reclusive step-brother, Toby Cavanaugh, Alison wasted no time. Like so many bad memories, Aria could never truly get that night out of her head. It haunted her day and night.
You see, a little over a year ago, the five girls had been gleefully trying on clothes in Emily's bedroom. It was like any other sleepover until suddenly, Alison exclaimed "I can see you!" and raced to the window, pushing Aria out of the way. Ali insisted that she'd seen Toby in the window and that they all needed to go "teach him a lesson." Immediately, Aria had gotten a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach. She had tried to push back but Alison was not having it. Looking back now, she knew that she should've just stood up to Ali when she had they chance--they all should have.
Before she knew it, they were at the Cavanaughs' garage, hurling a stink bomb through the door and running away. What started out as a harmless little prank quickly turned into a raging fire that permanently blinded Jenna.
"We had the chance to stop Ali that night," Aria said regretfully. Looking at the other girls' faces, they clearly felt just as much as shame about the situation as she did. But what could they do about it now? Surely, they'd be in some sort of legal trouble if the fessed up to Wilden about it, right? And how would he even know in the first place? After all, Ali had gotten Toby to take the blame, somehow...
That night, as Aria was lying in her bed, attempting to sleep, she kept thinking about what Ezra had said to her. His words rang over and over in her head: I care about you, Aria, but this just isn't right. And as much as it felt right to her, maybe he had a point. After all, he was older than her, and wouldn't that make him wiser than her, as well? As she drifted off to sleep, she'd made up her mind. Tomorrow, she was going to nip this in the bud and transfer classes. Besides, with everything going on with her family, that weird cop, and the fact that the whole world now knew that Alison DiLaurentis was dead, she really couldn't handle anything else on her plate.
The next morning before first period, Aria went and sought out Ezra, who was grading papers at his desk. God, he looked so handsome in his tie and button-down shirt. Dammit, Aria, focus, she told herself. You need to do this. Giving a soft nock on the door frame, she said "Hey, can I come in for a second?..."
The young teacher instantly lit up when he saw her face and nodded, beckoning her to come in. Getting up from his desk, he said "Yeah, of course," and walked past her to shut the door behind her. Gingerly, she said "Oh, this will only take a second..." Besides, she didn't want to give people the wrong impression with the door shut--she was ending this and that was that. She took a paper out of her binder and handed it to him. "I'd like to transfer out of your class."
At her words, a look of obvious disappointment crossed his face, which was honestly a bit confusing. "Uh, I totally understand, but, um... I'd hate for you to have to drop the class, especially since we've already started working on our first novel. If you transferred to another class, you'd already be behind..."
Nodding, she said "Yeah, I thought about that, but... I don't know, I just feel like it's the right thing to do..." Looking up at him, he was clearly searching for words to say and he opened his mouth but then closed it again, as if he'd thought of something to say but then changed his mind. "Okay, then I'll go ahead and sign the transfer paper," he said, grabbing the pen off of his desk. "Thank you," she said softly, taking the paper from him and giving him a small smile.
Honestly, she thought he'd look a little more relieved, since he was the one who told her this...thing between them wasn't right. But then again, she couldn't deny that she was at least a little pleased that he wasn't jumping for joy at not having her in his class anymore. Maybe that that meant what he'd said was true--maybe he did really care about her.
Taking the paper back, she said "Thank you, Ez--Mr. Fitz.. I appreciate it." With that, she turned and practically bolted out of the door, sure that she'd change her mind if she stayed just one moment longer. She hurried down to the registrar to turn the paper in before she headed to math class.
However, the transfer was apparently not meant to be. During science class, a student aid had come by her class and delivered her transfer paper with a brand new bright red "DECLINED" stamp on the top of it. Shit, she thought to herself. Is the universe trying to get me to fuck up? Then again...what if this was a good sign from the universe? Perhaps a sign that maybe, just maybe, there really was a chance for her and Ezra?...
When she arrived at English and set the declination on his desk, she could've sworn she saw a small smile perk up at the edge of his lips.
Even though whatever was going on with Aria and Ezra was confusing, being at school was a million times better than being at home, that was for sure. Before Aria had gone away to Radley Iceland, she'd been keeping a huge secret for her dad. It turns out, those rumors about him sleeping with his grad students had turned out to be very true. Aria had seen it with her own eyes and she knew she'd never be able to forget that image of his father kissing another woman in the back of his car for as long as she lived.
At the time, he'd begged her to keep it a secret. Aria's father had told her that if she told her mom, their family would fall apart. She could still hear her own words in her head when she'd begrudgingly agreed to pretend as if nothing was wrong. Through her tears, she'd said to her father's face, "I don't think I'm ever going to be able to forgive you for this."
And she'd meant what she said. From the moment she'd gotten back from her sabbatical, she'd been short with her father whenever he attempted to speak with her. After all, over the past year, she'd had a lot of time to think about the situation and she'd grown incredibly resentful of her father. How could he have put all of that pressure on his own daughter? And all to keep his dirty secret of infidelity? What a fucking coward. What a fucking piss poor excuse for a father.
So on Saturday afternoon, when she arrived home from a coffee run, she didn't know what to say when her father confronted her about her attitude. "You're not very good at hiding your feelings, Aria. And your mother knows that something's up. You need to get past this."
"I need to get past this? I need to get past the fact that I caught you cheating on Mom? I need to get past the fact that you fucking begged me to keep that secret for you?" She shook her head incredulously. "You've got to be fucking joking." Her father looked hurt and taken aback by her harsh words but she couldn't hep herself. What else was she supposed to say? How could he expect her to feel any other way?
Still, she wasn't done yet. "Are you still seeing her?" she asked, her words as sharp as knife. Her father shook his head and said "What? Why would you even ask me that?"
"Answer the question, Dad. Are you still seeing her?"
He shook his head, but Aria really didn't know whether to believe him or not. "No, I am not seeing her. I told you, I'm done with that. I'm done with her. All I care about is our family." Yeah, fucking sure, she thought to herself.
"Whatever, Dad," Aria said with a heavy sigh, the feeling of exhaustion suddenly taking over her body. She couldn't keep doing this, she couldn't keep holding up all this weight on her own two shoulders. But, then again, she couldn't break her mother's heart like that--or her little brother's. She had to protect her family, that was her job. It was part of the reason why she'd done what she'd done that night...
As she started to walk away, her father said "Aria, where are you going? I'm not finished with this conversation."
"Well, I am," she snapped back. She turned away from her father and swiftly walked up the stairs. She'd be fucking damned if she let him see her cry again. She couldn't give him that kind of power over her.

sᴀғᴇ ─ ᴀʟɪsᴏɴ ᴅɪʟᴀᴜʀᴇɴᴛɪs
ʀᴇǫᴜᴇsᴛᴇᴅ? Yes, by Anon
sᴜᴍᴍᴀʀʏ: After everything that Alison had been through, (Y/N) decides that Ali could use a day of relaxation and preparation for her return to Rosewood High.
ᴛʀɪɢɢᴇʀ ᴡᴀʀɴɪɴɢs: None! Just fluff!

ɪɴᴄʟᴜᴅᴇs: Fem!Reader, Crushing!Alison DiLaurentis X Reader
ᴡᴏʀᴅ ᴄᴏᴜɴᴛ: 1.1k
‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎(Y/N) and Ali had spent the morning preparing Ali for what her first day back at school was going to be like, and they had retired to Ali’s bedroom by the time that the afternoon had rolled around. The girls were quiet, peacefully enjoying each other’s company as they rested on Ali’s bed. (Y/N) found herself with her back against the headrest of the bed and Ali let herself lay her head on (Y/N)’s lap, her eyes fluttering shut as (Y/N) ran her fingers through her hair.
‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎(Y/N) and Ali were closer than the other girls of their group, it had always been that way. Even while Ali was gone, (Y/N) hadn’t quite assimilated into the dynamic that the other four girls in their group had fallen into. In hindsight, that was probably for the best. The girls were all being tormented by an invisible bully that went by the name of A, but (Y/N) had lucked out. A didn’t seem too interested in her, which had kept her safe and out of harm's way. However, that just drove a further wedge between (Y/N) and the girls.
‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎“Thank you for today.” Ali broke the silence, her voice small and far away, almost as if she were lost in thought. (Y/N) smiled, looking at Ali as she continued to comb through Ali’s hair. She let her fingers start to scratch her scalp, earning a content hum from Ali as the DiLaurentis girl opened her eyes to meet (Y/N)’s. “I don’t know what I would do without you.”
‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎(Y/N) felt her heart flutter at Ali’s words, her face growing warm with a deep blush. It was rare for Ali to be so vulnerable, so sweet, and (Y/N) always felt blessed that she was able to see it. “I’m just glad you’re back, Ali.”
‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎Ali abruptly sat up and turned her body to face (Y/N), tucking her legs under her as she scooted closer to her. The DiLaurentis girl gently took (Y/N)’s hand in her own and softly smiled at her. “I mean it. I don’t think I’d be able to go back to school and face everyone if you weren’t going to be there with me.”
‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎“Well, I’ll be there to protect you from anyone that even thinks about being mean to you. You’ve been through enough, the least I can do is protect you from petty high school bullies.” (Y/N) said, squeezing Ali’s hand and offering her a sincere smile. “Just like you used to do for me, remember?”
‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎Ali’s face grew very solemn at (Y/N)’s words, her eyes dropping to their hands and her mouth twisting into a frown. (Y/N) suddenly felt self-conscious, as if she had said something wrong, but she didn’t know what. She had hoped that mentioning their middle school years would bring a smile back to Ali’s face, to remind her of the times where the most complicated part of their lives was what lipgloss matched the eyeshadow they weren’t supposed to be wearing to school.
‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎(Y/N) reached out and gently placed her fingers under Ali’s chin to pull her gaze back to hers. (Y/N)’s eyebrows had knitted together, a questioning look swimming in her eyes. Ali’s pretty blue eyes were now cloudy with tears and her teeth had locked into her bottom lip to stop her from crying. (Y/N) had always scolded Ali for that habit, she would rather that Ali let herself cry, but they both knew that Ali’s mother had ruined her ability to feel her emotions long ago.
‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎“What happened, Ali?” (Y/N) whispered, letting her thumb run across Ali’s jaw as she held her gaze. “You know you can tell me anything, right? That hasn’t changed.”
‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎Ali nodded, biting into her lip harder as she tried to keep herself composed. She let herself fall into (Y/N)’s hand, relishing in the feel of her delicate hand on her cheek, as she took a deep breath. She was hesitant, unsure, but she found herself speaking before she could think over her words. (Y/N) always had that effect on Ali, the DiLaurentis girl couldn’t keep anything from her.
‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎“I just wish I could keep you safe.” Ali finally said, somehow quieter than a whisper. (Y/N) opened her mouth to ask what she had said, because, even with the little distance there was between them, she still hadn’t been able to discern what Ali had said, but the DiLaurentis girl cleared her throat and spoke again. “I don’t know how to protect you from A anymore, (Y/N). While I was gone, you were off the table, A couldn’t touch you, but now, I’m not sure.”
‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎(Y/N) found herself sitting back, her hand dropping from Ali’s face and her body leaning away from Ali as she processed her words. What did she mean by “off the table?” Was that why she had never been in any serious danger from A? Hanna was hit by a car, Emily was nearly asphyxiated to death, Spencer had to go to Radley Sanitorium, and Aria had to kill Shana. The worst that ever happened to (Y/N) was coming face-to-face with A in her own bedroom and being shoved into the wall so A could get away. But, why was (Y/N) the only one that Ali wanted to protect?
‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎(Y/N) pursed her lips and met Ali’s eyes again, her head shaking in disbelief as she asked. “Why me? Why not your brother, or even CeCe?”
‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎“I wouldn’t have been able to survive if I didn’t have you here when I returned.” Ali immediately answered. There wasn’t a hint of hesitation or thought behind her words, they were the truth. (Y/N) knew that the moment Ali spoke them.
‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎(Y/N)’s heart swelled and her face broke into a stupid grin. She couldn’t help the teasing words from leaving her mouth, “Oh, Ali, don’t act as if you actually like me.”
‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎Ali laughed at (Y/N)’s words, the beautiful laugh that (Y/N) had missed more than she could ever admit, and leaned forward to wrap her arms around (Y/N)’s neck to pull her into a hug. (Y/N) blushed as the DiLaurentis girl hugged her, her arms tightening around Ali’s body as she returned it. She had missed Ali so much, she had almost forgotten what it was like to have her in her arms.
‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎“You’re the only one I can’t live without, (Y/N),” Ali said, burying her face in the spot where (Y/N)’s neck and shoulder met. (Y/N) was suddenly at a loss for words. Ali was always the type of girl to keep her emotions close to her chest, rarely did she ever let herself show them. But, just as (Y/N) was the only one that she couldn’t live without, she was also the only one that truly got to see who Ali was and know how she felt. She was the only one that Ali needed.

ᴀᴜᴛʜᴏʀ's ɴᴏᴛᴇs: I wasn’t sure if the person that sent the ask meant for a romantic or platonic relationship between (Y/N) and Ali, so I kept it platonic, but I tried to sprinkle in some romance/romantic gestures in! I personally feel that it has a somewhat transitional feel, like Ali’s return has brought some romantic feelings to the surface. Also, vaguely inspired by “Power Over Me” by Dermot Kennedy, I couldn’t stop listening to it while writing this. Thank you for this request, I loved it!

THE EMILY ONE SHOT WAS SO GOOD OH MY GOD CAN WE PLEASE HAVE A CONTINUATION
A/N: Guys, I am so sorry for my absence. I've hadn't time two write in two weeks because we are renovating our whole house and I've had to, besides my work and dog to care, do 80% of the shit my mother was up to. But now I am almost finished with it and can say that I came back to my usual routine where I can write more frequently. Thank you for staying with my blog ♥
---
You woke up to different voices, all of which moved around you and discussed quietly to themselves. Like a thick fog around your brain, you heard everything but all information evaporated like a strong wind into nothing.
The attempt to open your heavy eyelids and perceive the world around you failed. Your body also thwarted your plans; it was numb and completely unable to obey your commands. Your dry and chapped lips formed a sentence but your vocal cords failed and only let out a scratchy groan.
"I think she's finally waking up!" remarked someone next to you who held their hand on your head and slowly ran their thumb over your hair. You only realized in retrospect which perfume this person wore and that it was Spencer before you let your head fall closer to her side and she let out a small laugh. "Emily will go crazy when she hears you woke up and she wasn't here."
A light and weak smile came over your lips and you moved even closer to the warm body next to you. The brunette had meanwhile sat down with half of her body on your bed to show you that she was there for you and put an arm protectively over your hip; careful not to hit your wounds and cause you pain.
Your eyes slowly began to adjust to the bright light when it turned into a color that you could stand. You looked around and realized that you were in the hospital. The bare grey walls and the smell of disinfectant that you had previously blocked out, crept into your nose and made it wrinkle.
"Where's Emily? Is she okay?" you asked raspy and looked at Hanna who was sitting on the end of the bed and was stroking your lower legs. She looked down at the duvet before smiling up and nodding. "Calm down, she is okay. You saved her."
"We're so glad you're okay, babygirl." Spencer chimed in and gave you a kiss on your hair before she rested her cheek on the side of your head.
At the perfect moment the door was opened with full force and a totally dissolved and completely finished Emily came running through the door, followed by Aria who had some food and coffee in her hand and all three of you were startled, the brunette behind her was also shocked by your sisters action.
Emily's shiny eyes were red and dull, her perfect complexion was totally ruined by the salty tears that adorned her skin and she looked as if she hadn't slept for nights and, according to the force with which she had opened the door, more Coffee in her system as Spencer in a week.
"Sorry. I- had no idea - ah intention." she stumbled over her own words as she quickly ran to the closet in your room and threw her jacket in to the others. "Em.." tried Aria to get her out of her totally confused situation when she noticed that you were no longer lying unconscious in your bed.
Your sister had apparently not yet noticed that you were already awake and you were watching every movement she made with your tired eyes. "I saved your life and you treat me like air?" you coughed in a harsh and low voice. Hanna was immediately at your side and poured you a glass of water while Emily stopped moving, her back turned to you and still standing at the open closet. "Where is my 'hey sister' and a 'thank you for saving my ass'?"
The older Fields was afraid to turn around. She was afraid of it and that it was all just a hallucination she was in due to sleep deprivation. It was the internal strife between good and bad that kept her from turning to your bed.
The brunette gripped the closet door and wall unit with her hands so tightly that even the blood escaped from them and made her skin look white. She shook her head barely noticeably, but that didn't help either - Emily had to turn around to confirm for herself whether this was just a dream or reality. "Emmy?"
With a deep breath she turned and looked into your tired eyes. Your skin was pale - almost grey from the loss of blood and dark circles formed under your eyes. Your powerless body hung on machines and at this sight her hair on the back of her neck stood up.
In this moment, her mind brought her back to the moment you stopped breathing in front of her eyes. Tears started to form and stung in her eyes, mixing with the view in front of her as she slowly began to walk towards you.
"Y/N." she sobbed while she pressed a strand of hair behind her ear and stopped in front of your bed. Struggling, she raised her shaky hand and gently placed it on top of yours, tapping it fearfully a few times before your hand drew hers into yours.
Your warmth, which trembled into her body through this touch alone, brought relief with it. Like a house of cards, Emily collapsed and fell around your neck. Her tears ran quickly from her eyes and all the pent-up feelings she had been carrying over the last few days left her body. "I am so sorry."
"Don't be, its okay. I am fine."
While you gently stroked her back and she tried to press closer to you without hurting you, Aria, Spencer and Hanna started to pack their stuff and said goodbye to you in silence. They wanted to give you the time and privacy to talk.
"You could have died and I would have never forgiven myself." sniffed the older of you as she straightened up again, wiping away her tears as her eyes met your gaze. You disappeared in your thoughts for a short moment, all the memories from that evening coming back.
The pain that had eaten you up from the inside out and the coldness that took over your body. The cold path beneath you and the slow and unbearable moment where you couldn't fight anymore and lost conciousness. You notices how something in you tried to defend itself against these thoughts as you started to shake and your voice was muffed from all the tears you tried to swallow. "But I didn't, I am still alive."
Trembling, you tried to get into a comfortable position while trying to avoid your sister's gaze. Clearing your throat and with the play of your fingernails, Emily knew that you were trying to hide how you were really doing and how you were coping with the situation and so she stopped talking about her feelings and hugged you wordlessly. Your protective wall broke in her arms shortly after and your strength faded far away.
"We gonna get through this together."

Help finding an Emison fic!
So I’ve been trying find the Emison fic, ‘The Embodiment of Love’ by IAmLaFlor for awhile now. It’s been deleted from fanfiction.net and Wattpad, but I’m hoping someone downloaded it. This is the synopsis to the fic:
“Emily is dating Ben but something is holding her back from truly falling for him. she begins to develop a schoolgirl crush on the infamous Alison Dilaurentis. one night Emily confesses to Alison she never really gave herself to Ben, Alison asks Emily To be her first.”
Completed or not: Not completed yet.
Chapters: 29 chapters.
This fic was written in 2015/2016 and I’m pretty sure it was still up on fanfiction.net in late 2016 and maybe early 2017.
If this fic sounds familiar, please message me. I love the jfc and I regret never downloading it.
Also, if anyone has any of Rosemonster’s fics like ‘Duality’ and ‘Momster-In-Law,’ I would love to read them. They’ve both been deleted as well.
I hope someone from the Emison fandom sees this. 😔🤞🏼

🎬 Pretty Little Liars: 1x01 🎬
Got a secret, can you keep it? Swear this one you'll save
Better lock it in your pocket taking this one to the grave
If I show you, then I know you won't tell what I said
'Cause two can keep a secret if one of them is dead.
