Despite her rather straightforward personality Haneko's always kinda wanted to try the 'note in the shoe locker' bit... later she'll pretend to be shocked Shuu knew it was her. (Clearly it was the purple gel pen that gave her away.)

Another for Jarno's @roninversary-brawl feature month... with apologies to @crazymiraclecat. I wanted to have Jarno interacting with one of my own RW/YST OCs, but... while I'm sure a clairvoyant who could guide him to the correct time faults might look like a good recruitment target for Jarno, Haneko... has her own ideas.

Ending Art Fight with a group attack - it's a group pic of Ronin Warriors/YST girls, inspired by the (surprisingly frequent) promo art of the guys in suits! (Basically a nicer version of the sketch I did during my Midori RW week... with more characters!)

It's Haneko for the last OC of mine!

She's Seiji's childhood friend, and her surname was chosen to complement his - the Katakura were major retainers of the Date clan (though that's obviously not the case between them - they have a siblinglike relationship).

Unlike Seiji she DOES speak with a Tohoku accent! (my in-universe explanation is that Seiji trained himself out of it to avoid the stereotypes, but Haneko considers her accent a charm point.)

ADHD but undiagnosed; normally I'd want to state it in text but, well. She's a girl in 1988 so all anyone realizes is she's impulsive, has no tolerance for boredom or frustration, is either unfocused or focused to the exclusion of everything else, and so forth... and caffeine has a mellowing effect. (She's actually a bit sensitive about all this, and implying she's stupid is a sure way to rouse her temper.)

Her clairvoyance led to her being spirited away when she was five; she was rescued by a kitsune posing as a local Shinto priest, who then trained her. The bell charm on her left wrist was made by him, and both acts as a protective ward and keeps her psychic ability from running out of control. (She also inherited a few quirks like a taste for inarizushi from him. Her mischievous streak is all her own, but he does exactly nothing to discourage it.)

Extremely skilled with a sword! She's had kendo training more or less since she could walk.

Perhaps oddly, she also likes performing tea ceremony. (But she prefers genmaicha over matcha.)

New Art Fight icon Haneko, reflecting my decision to give her outright purple hair (instead of sort of tinted) and make her eyes a slightly darker brown... also I've gotten better at drawing her expressions in the last year.

I also updated her ref with the new hair color (and to make her outfit colors less eye-searing... I had NO IDEA how much my laptop screen was dulling colors until I saw the same art on the screen tablet I picked up fairly recently and MAN was it... dulling colors), though THAT's not changed enough to post!
