So, I am back to making lake pigments again after my fairly disastrous last attempt I finally figured out how to get things to work. I really like using things most people are not using (like I haven’t worked any with indigo, madder, cochineal, etc) and my most recent favorite is this incredible teal I got from black goji berries that looks like it could be a Phthalo pigment.

Let me know if people want to see my fun experiments, I am more than happy to talk about my paint making passions, but also don’t want to fill up people’s feeds if it is unwanted.

Trying the same scene with oil pastels and again in watercolor. I don't have much experience with oil pastels, other than using them as a mark-making tool in my abstract cold wax paintings.

As always, all watercolors are handmade by me.

Most of the painted stuff I did during stream yesterday!

I made: a sky Sun/Moon themed frame (though I just really like the sky theme tbh, the ribbons and bells were a last minute touch that I'm still so-so on) ft my cat Ashley in the frame. A tiny sky and a 5x8 watercolor/acrylic sky, a Solar Lunacy nametag that came out bigger than I meant it to, and that weirdly shaped painted sky was supposed to be a handmade aesthetic paint pallets since I don't have one, but I realized too late that it would be hard to see my mixing colors on it, so I'll resin it and turn it into a large tray or coaster or something, idk

I plan on doing more of these. Working with my hands again is nice.

Also, this Eclipse happened because I had extra clay on hand and came out a failure
