my evil soap brick post is going around again theres and all these people in the tags who are like THIS IS WHY YOU NEVER FUCK WITH SOAPMAKING and its. very funny to see people going all the way to the other side of the safety spectrum and acting like soapmaking is GOING to kill you if you breathe wrong. fight club isnt real guys thats not what happens if you get lye on your hand
#it WILL burn you yeah. but not like that#ive gotten lye on my skin a LOT and like. you just rinse it off. if you arent aware of it and it sits it WILL cause irritations and burns#but not like. scary attacking you bubbling#the actual danger is getting it in your eyes. itll do its reaction on your eyeball and can very quickly cause blindness#i even saw someone saying NEVER BUY HANDMADE SOAP and. ok fuck you i guess#you can tell pretty easy if a soap is a lye filled crumbling beeswax brick or if its just like. nice handmade soap.#but keep buying dial if you want bestie

when i first moved into my own house i was a. 16 b. completely and utterly broken as a person and c. for the first time in a very long time, not starving and completely in control of what i ate. i could have anything. as long as it was home brand and under 5 dollars. that version of me sucked to be and to be around, and most of my food adventures were heinous and gave me food poisoning, but i have to say: he went off with kangaroo meat souvlaki. he was actually right on the money

When I worked at a library I went out of my way to try and let people know I did not care WHAT they were reading but happy they were using the library to do so
newbie asked if we're supposed to look out for 'red flags' in interlibrary loan requests in reference to a request a patron had made for a book about cannibalism. she was looking expectantly at me like she was expecting me to be equally aghast at this........girl why would you work at a library if you want to play book police
