Speaking of Christmas cards. This year I made my friend a Christmas card… I can’t art, so it’s very much like those fun old magazine cutout crafts, but with Google images.

My friend has already seen photos of the card because reasons. I was hoping to surprise my friend with the card during the Christmas party tomorrow, but like I said, I can’t art. There was an attempt to make a Santa hat out of craft paper, but it kept looking like an oversize gnome hat, and it was just too funny not to share with my friend during the time that I was making their card.

Yeah, as you can see from the first photo, I ended up printing out a Santa and cutting his face off just for the Santa hat.

Finishing up another post-Christmas clearance card kit from Michaels last year. These mittens on a string are really cute! The tiny clothespins kept coming apart when I tried to take them from the plastic sheet, but jewelry pliers took care of that!

Put a Bow On It! Handmade Christmas Card

Today’s card was made with a non traditional color, black.  I think this card has a bit of a masculine feel even with the ribbon and bow.  Christmas is the only time I use ribbon on my cards anymore.  I’m not sure why that is, I just realized that the day I made this card.  I think I miss seeing ribbon on cards, and hope it makes a comeback.
