I sought out this CD and scanned the cover art because, to my knowledge, it features one of the most complete set of protagonists from the Toei Magical Girl Series (東映魔女っ子シリーズ).

The album's title is Great Magical Girl Strategy Special Song Collection (魔女っ子大作戦 スペシ��ル·ソング·コレクション). As with so many of these crossover images from the Toei series, it's associated with the Great Magical Girl Strategy (魔女っ子 大作戦) video game from 1999 (平成11).

The only possible missing piece here would be Magical Girl Tickle (魔女っ子チックル) . I would expect her to be present more often when Toei promotes the series if she were meant to be included. But, she is included as part of a different CD -- The Dream of a Singing Girl ~Toei Animation Magical Girl Anime Complete Works~ (歌いつがれる少女の夢 ~東映動画魔法少女アニメ全集~).

So, I have this faint memory from sometime between 85 and 87 of seeing a part of this cartoon that took place in the Alps with a girl with blonde hair and a red dress. I definitely did not see the whole thing because it was night time and had to go to bed. (Faint memory of walking from the den through the living room)

I always classified it as Heidi because of the Alps setting and I knew Heidi was in the Alps. Thinking about it a few years back and seeing settings from 80s anime, the faint memory was definitely anime that managed to be dubbed in English and aired on US tv (I did have cable). I had done searches on Heidi anime and nothing was familiar.

Anyway, so the semester is about to end and I was thinking of watching some old magic girl series and Hana no Ko Lun Lun always resined with me (plus seeing it on my dash recently) I started to look it up. Turns out there was a two episode english dub released in the US in HBO in 1980. Then in 1985, there was a hodgepodge of episodes put together as a "movie" called Angel.

I managed to find a copy of it on youtube and I realized, this was it.

I remenber liking the girl on the mirror but at that time didn't knew it was from and anime. I didn't even know what was that, lol.
