You gotta read and watch some old books and films that aren’t 100% modern politically correct. I’m not saying you should agree with everything in them but you need to learn where genres came from to understand what those genres are doing today and where media deconstructing old tropes is coming from.

Also, more often than you might think, they’re not actually promoting bigotry so much as “didn’t consider all the implications of something” or just used words that were polite then but considered offensive now.

So since I was telling hubby about how there's a person I follow that keeps rebloging Gravity Falls' "the triangle Tumblr wants to fuck"TM and that one old dude (which is actually two old dudes) he decided to make me watch it.

Gravity Falls was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed picking out "useless" stuff in the background and making hubby tell me to shut up every time the triangle appeared... (Me saying "oh my God! It's him, the triangle that fucks old men!" Every. Single. Time. Bill was on screen and/or referenced)

But while Tumblr keeps up this old man yaoi and fucking a triangle thing, I'm really hurt y'all didn't tell me the most important thing...

The two old guys- the GrUncle Bros- are from NEW JERSEY

Y'all wanna draw old men fucking, a touchy feely chaos demon god, and some weird ass dimensional fetishes or whatever... But not one person said Jersey Shore bros
