Here is a short excerpt from my upcoming Han & Leia AU fic "Give Me Everything." I'm going to start posting once I write five chapters- currently writing #3. (also, I post my fics on my writing blog @dreaming-of-epiphanies which I have tagged in my bio and pinned post. I wish I could make it my main, but it is what it is).

“Captain Solo?” she clarified, though it was clear she knew exactly who she was talking to. “Princess,” he said with a nod, putting his hands in his pockets. “Wasn’t sure if you’d ever step outta the shadows.” Her eyes flashed. "I wasn't aware you'd been watching me," she countered without missing a beat, tilting her chin up defiantly. "Then I'm honestly surprised you were a spy for as long as you were without gettin' caught," Han retorted, earning an eye roll from Leia. "Still as impossible as ever, I see?"

I got this idea when I was listening to the Bridgerton cover of Give Me Everything and thought "huh, it would be so fun to write a dramatic ball scene with Han and Leia!" So yes, this entire fic is based on me wanting to write one scene that doesn't even happen until chapter 15 or so.

The premise is that Alderaan wasn't destroyed in ANH, and that Leia is forced to return to it instead of continuing to help the Alliance like she wants, while Han winds up staying with the rebellion. Three years later, the Alliance is completely in debt and the only way they can recover and continue the fight is to regain the support of the Organas, who cut communication after the Battle of Yavin. So without giving too much away, Han and Luke go on a mission to Alderaan and end up working with Leia to convince Bail to rejoin the rebellion. And of course Han and Leia fall in love, because not only are they the reason I'm writing this fic, they're soulmates and will find each other in every AU.

I'm going to tag @viperify because you always write the most amazing fics and honestly my heart can't take much more of knowing Tom is only fictional 😭 but reading what you write is soo worth it despite that heartache! ❤

Not really a WIP yet Wednesday

Watched Solo over the weekend. Had feels. Han and Leia find a stowaway child on the Falcon and Feelings ensue.

“Does she work for you?”

Han frowned at the little boy, confused. “No, no. We’re married.” He held up his left hand and pointed to his ring. “That’s what this means.”

“Oh. I didn’t know.” He looked down at his shoes and fished around in his pocket. “Here. I guess you should have this back.”

He held out his hand with Leia’s wedding band resting in the center. 

“How’d you get that?’ Han asked, wasting no time divesting the child of the ring.

“She’s a heavy sleeper,” the boy said simply.

Han huffed softly. “Yeah, she is. But that doesn’t mean you should steal. ‘Sides, the only other person on this ship gave her the ring. Do you really think she wouldn’t have figured it out?”

He looked at his shoes. “It was dumb.”

“It wasn’t the best choice, but I understand why you made it,” Han said gently. “It’s not like that here, though. We’ll make sure you have what you need while you’re with us. And we don’t need anything in return.”

The boy looked skeptical, and Han couldn’t blame him.

“And even if you don’t believe me, you should know–” He wiggled the ring off his finger “–that tungsten is basically worthless in terms of jewelry resale.” He put it back on and motioned toward an exposed pipe running up the wall. “Come on. If you’re looking for a way to make money, you should learn how to fix some things.”

“That smells amazing.” Han sniffed the air like a Ssi-ruu on the hunt.

“Mom’s baking!” Jacen crowed, as Jaina giggled, mouth full.

Plucking a gingerbell cookie from the counter, Han put half in his mouth and ducked down for Leia to bite off the other half. It was warm from the synthoven, and melted on his tongue.

“Delicious,” he pronounced, following it up with a kiss. The kids were too young to know today’s anniversary, but Han understood well the reason for comfort food.

Leia sighed. “But the real ingredients...”

“I know.” Han pulled her into a hug. “I know.”

Star Wars Demigod AU Aesthetics

My take on who star wars characters godly parents would be!

Luke and Leia are both kids of Aphrodite.

For Luke, I feel like he would have powerful charm speak and much like Leia, be the strongest person in combat in a room despite being underestimated by everyone based on appearance. I also love the idea of the twins having everyone fall in love with them all the time (I think they would make a bit out of it). Some casual Din/Luke is also in this aesthetic (more on Din later).

Leia aesthetic for being a daughter of Aphrodite.

I think that Leia would have been claimed sooner than Luke was (coming to camp when she was younger) and thus she knows how to control her charm speak more than Luke does. She would also be more of a realist with love as she has had her fair share of insincere suitors.

Leia would also be the best shooter at camp half blood. Some Leia/Han is also in this aesthetic!

Han would be the son of Hermes.

He is always traveling, good at thievery/cunning actions, and is a good navigator. I think that he would be sent on his first quest with Luke and Leia (before Luke is claimed) and would be micro managing their travels.

He constantly tries to beat Leia at shooting but they both know that he isn't as good as she is (Leia/Han is also incorporated in this aesthetic).

Din would be the son of Hephaestus.

This one took me a while but honestly it fits.

I think that beyond the armor (which he would 100% wear at camp half blood), he is also super efficient at doing repairs (but not as much as his fellow Hephaestus kid Peli), and uses fire. He would have gone on a lot of quests and is experienced in it (his bounty hunting).

I also just love the idea of a Hephaestus and Aphrodite kid being togethers (thus Din/Luke is in this aesthetic too).

Finally, Lando.

He would be a son of Dionysus. He has the right vibes:

Strong, fun, goes with the flow, and a bit sneaky. He would totally be an enjoyer of good theater and wine.

I like to think that he and Han have been camp besties for a while. He definitely would be the type of person to go on one quest (which was the most important one) and just have so much credit from then on thus making him the person everyone wants on a quest.

Leia Organa to Han Solo: You're not ugly, just aesthetically challenged.

Now pro Jedi people are against the fact that Leia fell in love with Han and wanted to marry him as well as start a family with him. In fact while this person sees Leia getting married and having kids as boring, it actually makes narrative sense. Should Leia have approached Han after she admitted that she loved him and he admitted that he loved her in order to say “Sorry I can’t marry you because I now suddenly want to join this religious order that we are rebuilding that refused romantic relationships in the past because they thought it would make you evil even though we can change the rules because we are rebuilding it.” But then again these are the people who call Anakin a sperm donor in regards to Leia even though he was excited to be a father and if he never fell, he would be raising both Luke and Leia with Padmé. They act as if he was a deadbeat father who wanted nothing to do with her when he thought his children were dead. As Darth Vader he wasn’t an ideal parent, but he wasn’t someone who voluntarily abandoned his own children. Also I liked that in Legends Luke realized that forbidding family bonds in the Jedi Order was dumb.

“Admiral Piett,” she said, her face betraying nothing. She had been raised in the cut throat political world of the Imperial Senate, and he could see Senator Organa before him just as clearly as the Rebel leader.

“Your Highness,” he returned neutrally. “Forgive me, but you seem an… interesting choice to interrogate me. I would have thought you had better things to do.”

She raised an eyebrow at him, pixie face skeptical.

“As ever, Admiral, we are all prepared to do what we must. In this particular moment, I volunteered to speak to you.”

“I would like to know how my people are,” he said. “I trust that you are treating them fairly given that I surrendered to you in good faith with that understanding.”

She tapped her index finger gently on the table beside her data pad as she considered him.

“We endeavored, Admiral,” she replied at last and his gut twisted. What did that mean?

“It’s largely why I’m here, actually,” she continued, leaning back a little in her chair. “Most of them are being kept in the largest hangar bays on your ship. We transferred about ten thousand to three different Alliance ships. We intended to continue that transfer to some areas down on Endor as well when—-something occurred.”

“Roughly an hour after you were brought aboard here,” the Princess said, meeting his eyes in challenge, “the Executor lost all power. Or so it seemed.”
