Found a neat older board game called Hamsterrolle that’s basically Circular Jenga. You have to put pieces onto the wheel to make it slowly rotate and anything that falls off you have to keep. After our first game where we were very cautious, we learned the trick is to aggressively place pieces to make the wheel roll in the hopes your opponent is stuck knocking pieces off. It’s quite fun and definitely unique!

okay the time change has happened now so we're at 18.5 hours:

finished round 2 of Azul (I won! finally!)

watched someone play hamsterrolle (it's basically where you're trying to get rid of all your blocks but you have to place them in a hamster wheel thing and if you make any blocks fall out you have to take them)

ghost hunters (2 rounds on advanced mode - co-op game where we're trying to collect gems from a haunted house before the ghost problem gets out of hand, but advanced mode has lots of things adding to the difficulty so both times we lost right after getting 5/8 gems out)

pitch race (1 round - everyone has little disks that are their cars, trying to race around the track by flicking their disk, first to get around 3 times wins, lots of challenges)

taking a short break to see what others are up to and chat with my friend who is also doing extra life with other people and livestreaming games

just under 3 hours in, games so far:

Tsuro (1 round - it's a quick game that involves minimal thought)*

the Bob Ross game (1 round - surprisingly stressful)

Tiny Towns (2 rounds - another quick game, more strategy based, we forgot 1 thing the first round and added an extra thing the second)

starting Archaeology: The New Expedition
