The overwatch cast and adopting a cat with them

Summary: after a long discussion you two l (either partners or roomates) adopt a cat together, everything is taken care of and now it's just bonding with your new little friend!

TANKS:

D.V.A. - "Awww, a cat? Why not a cute bunny?"

She's very open to getting a cute cat, she never got one before with how busy she was but with you two together she can say with confidence your new pet will be in good hands. Definitely would start a new social media posting photos of your new cat in all these adorable outfits. Your cat is famous now. Definitely names your guys' cat something cute. She's always playing with it, too. Owning a cat with her was meant to be!!

Doomfist - "No. Not happening."

Complain enough, then it might happen, only on the condition you take care of it alone. And he holds to his words, Doomfist isn't mean to the cat but more.. indifferent. As more time goes on, he would help out a little here and there. For instance, the cats food would be filled up without any complaints or the litter box emptied, but that's really it. When you find the cat, it's afraid of her at first, but soon it realizes Orisa is no harm whatsoever. It's not an uncommon sight to walk into a room and find her petting the cat or playing with it. Orisa is a happy cat owner, and you swear your cat likes her more than you.

Reinhardt - "A LITTLE KITTY CAT? WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY SOONER?"

He is immediately on board for getting a cat. When you two get the cat, he has to introduce it to Mitzi. Thanks to Brigitte, he knows cats and loves them. He is very gentle with your new little friend, and you can tell he loves the little thing with his whole heart. He's a good cat owner, and the cat is always getting the best wet food thanks to him.

Roadhog - "Cat? Hmmm. Follow me."

Turns out he already had a cat in mind. It was this lone little stray in a quiet part of Junkertown. He always would feed it when he was around, which was often and it ran up to him immediately. When Sigma has his more unstable moments, the cat always seems to ground him, it's presence calms him, and you both are extremely happy about that. Not only did you two gain a new little friend but an emotional support animal for Sigma.

Winston - "A cat? I can agree to that, any ideas where to get one?"

You do, and later you bring your new friend home. You can tell it's afraid of Winston but thanks to some cat treats he got the cat likes him. He has a little cat tree in his office and soon the cat is beloved by Tracer too. You always have a cat babysitter, but that's not needed thanks to Winston always making time at Overwatch for you and your pet. Hes a reliable cat owner, Tobe fair he's just responsible.

Wrecking Ball - *Many raged hamster noises* "The hamster says no. Vocabulary not translatable."

Zarya - "A little kitty? Sure."

She's relaxed about having a cat, just a little worried she might hurt it on accident. She is the strongest woman in Russia, after all. With more time, she will pick the cat up and pet it. She enjoys it's company but that fear of possibly hurting it will always be at the back of her mind.

Ramattra - "A.. cat? Why do you humans have to have such a need for control.."

Explain to him why you want a cat more and fine. If his pet human needs something to be happy, then he will put up with it. At first, your cat is afraid of him, but it grows to be indifferent, but something changes when he sees the little guy all snuggly with you but completely ignores him. Ramattra gets jealous, and soon, a battle of trying to win the cat over happens. That is until he has an idea. He gets an upgrade where he can store catnip.. and boom, he has finally gotten to hold the little creature. Don't laugh at him. This is the step he needed to kind of understand you. Holding a cat changed him, and he now understands why humans keep pets. It's not for control, but.. love?

DAMAGE:

Ashe - "A cat? The family always has room for more."

She's excited just as much as you, Bob handles the cleaning the litter box, and he's the best. Ashe is excited to have a pet. She never really had one before, so this is a first. It's not uncommon to see her carrying it around the house while she does things. Ashe is surprisingly a cat person. She loves your guys' cat, and she seems happier with it alongside her. Having her own little family grow more is just what she needs for a smile on her face.

Bastion - *Saddly looks at Ganymede while beeping sadly.*

It's not going to happen. Think of Bastion's bird..

Cassidy - "Sure? I'm not dealing with its crap though."

True to his word, you're on cat litter duty. But he does make sure the cat gets fed and played with. He's the fun cat parent.. but I mean, you do get to come home to see both Cassidy and the cat asleep on the couch, which is always adorable. It's like his mini partner in crime. That is the crime of annoying you. But both are still lovable, so it's okay. They make up for it.

Echo - "A cat? Duplication initiated!"

You have to explain to her that no, you do not want her to mimic a cat. She understands afterward, and you two adopt a cat. She's happy to watch it and often likes to bring it toys and different treats to watch its reactions. Whenever your guys' cat does something, she is quick to come get you and show you it. You have to explain to her that a cat using the litterbox is normal. She's very enthusiastic about your cat, and it's not uncommon to see her mimicking it.

Genji - "A cat? I don't see why not."

He is on the fence but doesn't show it. He's more worried that the cat won't like him. Much to his joy, the cat loves him and you. Watching a movie together as a group is the best, Genji is like a heater for the cat, and you give the vest scratches. Having Genji as a cat owner was really meant to be. He makes sure the litterbox is empty and the cat is well entertained. He may or may not have gotten an upgrade on his robotic arm to have a built-in cat toy (he has).

Hanzo - "Why.. a cat?"

Forgive him, poor guy never got to experience the joy of owning a pet of any kind. His life being raised to he the next criminal leader made any chance of owning a pet impossible, but fortunately, now is the time for change. He does that old man thing where he acts like the cat isn't important but is the cats number one fan. He makes sure things are taken care of, but that's about it. Ignore the soft smile he has when the cat lays on his lap. And also ignore how he's buying more cat toys and treats because he definitely isn't cooing over everything the little guy does. Hanzo definitely has a while photo album of your guys' cat.

Junkrat - "Ooooh a little kitty cat? Let me get one!!"

Before you can stop him, he's out the door and not an hour later, he's back with a small little kitten. After ensuring it wasn't stolen, you guys start to raise the little guy as if it were a child, Junkrat is always petting and cooing at the cat, and he's in heaven. Who knew Mr. Jamison was a cat person? He is always bringing back cat toys either he made (don't worry it's not explosive) or stole, he's a proud cat owner.

Mei - "A cat!? Look Snowball, we're going to have a new friend!!"

She's insistent on getting a white cat and naming it Snowflake. And she treats your new pet like the best thing in the world, definitely makes the cat a Snowball shaped toy. Definitely lives to cuddle with your cat, and the car definitely sleeps in her bed (or shared).

Pharah - "Cat? I suppose we can get one."

Things are well until you notice she seems a bit off. Her nose is running, and she's coughing and complaining about being itchy. After dragging her to a doctor, you learn she has a cat allergy, but fortunately, there are ways to stop her symptoms from being so severe! Things around the house change a bit, but you and your cat are good to stay. She does love the cat but poor girl is allergic, but she can play with it through toys that don't require actual contact.

Reaper - "Cat? No."

Reaper does not want a pet. A grown man like him does not need something as insignificant. Is what he says to you all the time, infact no conversation can be held without him bringing his dislike towards your cat. You believe him until one day you find him asleep with the cat napping on his chest with his hand on top of the cat. Take a photo of proof because now you have a ticket to win any petty argument you have.

Sorjourn - "I guess we can get one."

Overall, Sorjourn is the easiest to own a pet with. She makes sure the cat has all its dietary needs and gets you both an automatic litterbox so litter is easy to handle. Like the way she handles everything else, she's reliable and smart about it, but she definitely enjoys her mornings at home with a cup of coffee and a cat to pet. Solid pick for anything you do, and she's always willing to do 50/50 with work, cats included.

Soldier 76 - "A cat.. really? Fine."

The pinnacle example of dad who does not want pet loves it the most. At first, he tries to act cool. He's a fugitive who fights for the innocent. A hardened soldier who fought many battles and will continue to do so. A cat rubbing against his leg will have no effect on him, okay, maybe.. yeah, he likes this cat. Soldier 76 strikes me as the type to attract many animals, and your cat is no exception. He carries cat treats on him at all times and definitely thinks about retiring with several cats. He never will, but maybe in his next life.

Sombra - "You want a little cat? Sure, I don't see why not."

Sombra is the one to find the cat, surprisingly ethically sourced from a high-end breeder. Definitely gets the cat a microchip so she can see where in your home the little guy is when she's away. Sombra is out on missions a lot, but when she's home, her lap is the perfect spot for the cat to nap while she chips away at codes and different security. Kind of aloof with the litter but will do it if you ask nicely.

Symmetra - "A cat could be a nice thing."

She's open to the idea, make a good case, and she's on board. She's often busy with different projects and studies but during her breaks she makes sure to give your guys cat a pet or two and when she's at her desk working on different papers the cat is on a little cat tree she set up in her office. In general, she enjoys the company, but she is a busy woman.

Torbjörn - "A cat? Why not a turret I can make you plenty of those."

Much like Soldier 76, he is the dad who acts like he doesn't like the cat but loves it. The thing is, he has already gone through this phase with his daughter, so he's a bit easier to break down. Definitely engineers the cat an automatic feeder and litterbox, and its collar can open the automatic cat doors you have around the house. Not only does he live the cat, but he has also given it a whole arsenal of Swedish engineering. Still no jetpack yet.

Tracer - "Aw a kitty? I'm already on board!"

Much like everything else, she's excited to get a pet. She always wanted one, but with Overwatch, she's been busy and that doesn't give much time to owning a pet. Fortunately, things are different noe and you two adopt a cat, Tracer can be forgetful at times, but she always makes up for forgetting a cat related task. She also has definitely made homade cat treats and sends selfies of her, you, and the cat to the rest of Overwatch. She has a lot of nicknames for your pet such as: "cheeky, kitty kitty, doll, etc.."

Venture - "A CAT!? I'VE ALWAYS WANTED ONE!!!"

Venture is very hyped about getting a cat. A lot of ancient societies they've studied praised cats, and Venture always wanted to know the hype of owning one. You two definitely name your cat an old name, something from history texts Venture has rambled to you before. The only pet Venture has ever had was a rock, so a whole new breathing furry cat is super exciting. They live for having video calls with you and the cat while they're away at different dig sites across the world. They also enjoy petting the cat while they read about future dig sites and articles written on their recent digs. It's not uncommon to see them and the cat asleep together.

Widowmaker - "A cat? Do not waste my time."

She has nothing to do with the cat, much like everything else she is cold and distant liek how she was made to be. At least taste the front she puts on. As time goes on, you find her petting the cat behind its ears. If you question her, her reason is 'so the cat doesn't get sad and destroy my house'. But you sort of come to realize that's a lie when she buys more and more extravagant cat toy, much to her annoyance. Eventually, she stops the act, and you can often find her holding the cat on her lap as she reads the newspaper every morning. Don't mention it, though.

SUPPORTS:

Ana - "Kitty? I'd like that."

Ana has always been a cat person. Thankfully, she wasn't the one who gave her daughter the cat allergy. She iften gives the cat small treats with a 'good kitty'. Ana enjoys having the cat around, with how little time she gets at home having a soft companion to pet and rub against her, and purr is just what she needs. That trip to Fiji would be relaxing, but so is spending time with you, the cat, and a nice cup of tea.

Baptiste - "A cat? Why am I not good enough?"

Playful teasing aside Baptiste is open to getting a cat, he never really had a proper pet for most of his life and now that things are stabling out in his career he's ready to make a change. You two adopt a friendly cat, one that absolutely melts his heart upon first seeing it. Much like Baptiste tye cat has a sort of mischief to it, you both grow to love. He often enjoys playing with the cat, but the cat likes to snuggle with you more than him. You will never hear the end of him trying to beckon the cat over to him. Just accept it at this point. This is your life now.

Brigitte - "YES! *ahem* Yes! I bet Mitzi wants a new friend!"

Is it even a question at this point, Brigitte absolutely loves cats and the idea of you both having your own cat and they could play together? She's already lined up the perfect cat for you, and Mitzi definitely aproves. Not only is she making her cat a jetpack, but yours will also get one. Much like her father, there are different cat devices everywhere, and your pets are living the life.

Kiriko - "Sure, cats can be cool."

Kiriko, much like everything else, is open to getting a cat. Let her choose, and she's getting an orange cat. It's like a fox. Classic orange cat behavior ensues. Kiriko tries to act cool, but just know she is dying with laughter the second your guys' cat does something stupid. She loves it just as much as you do and just knows she's going to take lots of videos and shoe everyone. Your cat is infamous with her friends, and she wouldn't have it any other way.

Lucio - "Damn a cat? Yeah I can see that."

Lucio is chill with everything, including cats. He definitely will get the best cat food out there, and much like him, the cat is full of life. He's always playing with it and matches its energy. Zoomies? Yeah, he's running after the cat going after a cat toy. Oh, the cat is talkative? He meows back to the cat. It's a habit of his to meow back at the cat. This can go on for hours, actually. Lucio has definitely made a song sampling the cats meow, and yes, it got super popular.

Mercy - "Ooh a cat, hmm.. can't say I've ever owned one before."

Much like everything else Mercy does, she accepts the cat with open arms. Much likr her, your new companion is very sweet and full of love. People are genuinely surprised with how well-behaved your cat is, but like Mercy. This little cat is an angel. When she works on documents the cat is at her desk simply napping at her feet or on her lap, and when you are both in the office the cat will switch between you two and receive all the love it can.

Moira - "Cats? Hmm.. yes I have worked on them before."

No Moira, not as a test subject but as a pet. She corrects that assumption and gives you the go-ahead. If it will keep you happy and cooperative, Moira will provide it to you. The less of a headache she has, the more she can work on her goal to evolve. Much like a Doomfist, she won't interact with it much, she let's everything the cat needs fall to you. But honestly, it's the best option. If she had it her way, the cat would be another pawn in her goal to the change of humankind.

Zenyatta - "A cat is the perfect companion, they too can stand for peace and meditation."

After learning a very insightful lesson about cats and their relevance to Buddhism, you get a cat together. Much like Zenyatta, the tye cat is often quiet but oddly knowledgeable. When you have a bad day, the cat is there just when you need it to be. It's soft purs helping you calm down after a long day. Much like Zenyatta guiding you through meditation. You find it shocking how simpler this cat and Zenyatta are, and you find them both often just looking out the window in silence, its peaceful with them both around.
