I’ve been working with this one in-between exams and such, so it feels like this one has taken me an eternity to complete, and my laptop’s colors have been very off so, uh, Be Kind to my Poor Soul. Again, this is Hamlen Pax with the boy, everyone’s least favorite P.I. Lance, mine and @shabbasheevi‘s swtor characters.

I was supposed to be done with this piece for Valentine’s - and it took me... way too long to finish! I struggled with the colors and the shading and the everything else, so now I’ve decided to just say ‘to hecks with it‘ and post it, even if I’m not too happy with it. Either way: here’s my Hamlen Pax and my RP partner’s Lance Khardell, our characters on swtor, finally drawn together.

I’ve been drowning in school projects lately (hence the lack of posting). As a quick escape, I’ve decided to draw my OC Hamlen Pax!

After five thousand hours of struggling to get the shading right I said “FINE, NEVERMIND”, so here she is! (how come some drawings are just impossible to shade?! Or is that just me?)

19. What do they think about before falling asleep at night? Falling asleep every night isn’t really a concept Hamlen is behind. She can go days without sleep, up until her energy runs completely dry and she crashes for about thirteen hours. Right before some sort of form of sleep overtakes her (yes, plants sleep too!), her touchy self cuddles up with the biggest pillow or blanket she can get her hands on, and she imagines being snuggled up with someone else, since, sadly, there are so far none who are able to survive her midnight grasp. At this point her mind has already raced around the galaxy fifteen times, and is ready to be quiet and cozy for a little bit.

22. Given a blank piece ofpaper, a pencil, and nothing to do, what would happen?

She’d tearthe paper up into small pieces, write notes on said pieces, then goout and hide it in people’s pockets so they would find them someday.Notes would include: “Don’t do school, stay in spice.”, “Don’tbe a karkhead, remember to water your plants.” and “Ifyou’re ever feeling sad, remember that you can always be drunk!”

36. What makes them feelguilty?

Hamlen will tellyou that she lives without regrets – though, in all honesty,there’s a lot that usually plagues her to the point of spiceaddiction. Besides your typical “running away from home way too young” situation,she feels guilty about abandoning her past life and the people fromit – even though it’s probably for the better, a big part of her isstill tied to it, and when it will come back to bite her in the ass,it won’t ignore the asses of her new friends.

45. Superstitions or viewson the occult?

Being a Zelosian, Pax is completelyblind if she’s notsurrounded by light– so along witha big fear of darkness, her head’s conceived a lotof differentboogeymonstersthatlurk behind a dimmed lamp. Shebelieves in atleastfifteendifferentrituals before breakfast.
