happy Hallowest of Weens everyone! I have covid and I'm already feeling the cabin fever on day 2 of isolation, and since NFWMB is completely losing the poll much to my heartbreak bcs it's my favourite WIP, could I please get some diapering & other infantilising vader & luke headcanons to soothe my soul

so some diapering/infantilism headcanons, I think I can do that! Some of these are inspired by such genius minds as @starboundanon and @hallowest so all credit to them.

Luke regresses to about a two year old when he's Little, and Vader is at first incredibly alarmed by the occurrence. It's triggered by Luke being injured in 'training' with Palpatine, both mentally and physically battered. When Vader brings him back to their apartment, Luke just drops. Vader immediately panics and freaks out, wanting to call for a medic and consult the Force and perhaps even his Master, but Luke won't let him out of his sight for even a second to call anyone to the scene. Luke eventually cries himself out in Vader's arms and Vader realizes that his boy only needs to be close to his father and he's perfectly content when he's in that headspace. Vader isn't so opposed to a repeat occurrence once he realizes that- Luke so rarely initiates cuddles or hugs anymore, saying he's too old for that sort of thing. And Vader can't bring himself to seek it out, even when he only wants to hold his son close. So this little hiccup is a relief for Vader.

After the first time Luke becomes Little, Vader stocks up. He reads extensively, diving into research about this condition and if it's exclusive to Force users, etc. He has diapers and bottles on hand, as he learned the first time that Luke cannot keep solid food down in this state- the boy can't even handle a fork to put the food in his mouth, let alone chew.

Even regressed, Luke still rails against being put in a diaper and subsequent diaper changes, which result in the unfortunate use of restraints to get the boy to be still enough for Vader to work. I have this image of Vader doing it all in his meditation chamber at their apartment, with Luke wearing an oxygen mask and Vader free to remove his helmet and press kisses all over Luke, showering him in love. Luke giggles and tries to squirm away because it tickles, but he secretly loves it- he's never felt more loved than when his father does that, considering he knows how it hurts for his father to press his vulnerable skin to another's.

Gosh I have more, ideas about Luke just drowning in piles of stuffed animals and Vader buying tiny tie fighters and x-wings and freighters that fly around the room for Luke to giggle and grab at.

And maybeee anon.... since the poll ended in a tie for three separate fics lmfao, in the space of time it takes to have a tie-breaker poll, I'll put out a little something regarding NFWMB- be that a whole chapter, or some snippets to make up for the long delay :))

History of Legion5 (part 1)

First idea

Legion5 was my second game in October 2017,

It made for gamejam : https://itch.io/jam/gamecodeur-gamejam-10. This theme is Halloween.

A classic shoot em up with only a tutorial, no adventure.

it's early talk about Hallowest dimension and mechanic to get data about encounter.

Learning quickly with a high level of challenge

Teacher : "Start with C# is to hard and you can't learn/make in same time" Me : "I can do it, i will do it"

When you need to learn POO, C# in the middle of a gamejam. It's going to go wrong, it's going to get very complicated.

You have two choices:

Either give up

Use the friction as motivation

Fact: On my old laptop (cpu i3), it takes 2-3 minutes to debug game ... I don't know how I stayed calm.

Method

Step by step, learn little thing and apply.

Don't look global goal, focus on each step. Using your new skills is part of the memory process. so don't forget it.

Not time for make game

It was time where i went to school, so i don't had lot of time.

At night : I learn/programed 1h/day.

At day : I started to draw sprite on smartphone when i had break or bus journey.

On weekend : i finished drawing/code

And this game stay unfinished 7 years,

It's time to continue write and code new mechanic.

◇ Odd weaponry choice ◇

So I made a Western Hollow Knight AU with my bestie @alecz-obssesionz, just because I wanted to see how PV looks with a cowboy hat *wink wink*.

To be honest, there is no way in hell I can believe that Anakin, even an AU version of him, is smart/cunning enough to pull off a plan with that many moving parts, because Anakin's always kind of not been That Guy-- it sort of seems like a fundamental part of his character. But I totally CAN totally believe this is a universe where he simply got a lot of luck and for once it swung in his favor instead of everything going to shit. (Luke seems like he's the one who got the shit end of the luck stick in this one, lol.)

This has been an interesting story to follow, because the end has felt tragic and inevitable. We knew from the start that the monster was going to win. I didn't enjoy it, but I enjoyed watching the construction of it, if that makes sense? There's just something that much more tragic about Luke's shitty fate being tied to him being a good person, and his love and kindness being turned and used against him. It makes me ache for him and Obi Wan and Leia and Han and Bail and everyone else in his life that Anakin deliberately took Luke away from.

I'll console myself by thinking of hopeful future fantasies for Luke (and Anakin accidentally getting compacted to death by a garbage truck or something), and also being so fucking jazzed for the Mando foundling story, Congrats on finishing!

I mean, both Anakin during TCW and Vader during the OT are renowned for being brilliant tacticians (and exceptionally brutal). As my friend @hallowest likes to say, Anakin is "high INT, low WIS." He's canonically extremely intelligent — but only when he wants to be. Usually he's perfectly happy to rely on brute strength, but when he needs to be cunning, when he needs to be tactical, that is in no way a skill he lacks.

Regardless, I'm glad you enjoyed watching the tragedy fall into place, even if the ending was more bitter than sweet. Luke and Obi-Wan came out of this on the losing side precisely because of their love of Anakin, and it's emotionally exhausting, because without that unconditional love his entire plan goes to shit, and he knows that. Worse: Luke knows that! He knows that he is directly responsible for his father’s victory, and even then, he can’t bring himself to thwart it.

Rest assured that, while the villain may have won in SotF, mando foundling AU will have a much fluffier (albeit still quite trashy) arc and outcome. I’m so glad you’re looking forward to it, and thank you for taking the time to read SotF, as harrowing as it was at times! ♥️
