30. With Gar please I feel like it'll be funny 😂
Thanks for the request and sorry it took so long! I hope this is what you wanted and if you want more feel free to send!!
30.Who ate all my candy!?
~~~~~
"Are you sure we're allowed to eat this?" Gar asked you, twirling a little chocolate candy in between his fingers. The wrapper was colourful enough to know that too many of them and you'll end up with a stomach ache. He sighed after you nodded, mouth full of candy unable to respond. He popped one into his mouth and his eyes widened when the chocolate hit his tongue. The sweet was delicious; he felt as if a party was being held on his mouth. The sweet savory taste combined with the dark chocolate made his taste buds dance. He looked and you, not believing how something so small could contain such range of flavors.
"I told you" you replied, smiling proudly at your accomplishments. Gar was not fond of the idea of stealing someone else's candy, but was it really stealing if you ate some and then replaced them? Yes, it was still stealing but whatever.
"Where did Kory get these? They're amazing" he said popping yet another sweet into his mouth. His eyes widened "they're different flavors!?" He asked, making you laugh. The box was filled with different flavor candy, the trick was that every envelope was exactly the same and there was no indication whatsoever, to give you a clue as to what you would get next. That was the fun part, the best part though? Every single one of those sweets tasted incredible.
"I know! They're incredible" you said, chewing on the delicious piece of chocolate. "I think Dick got them for her the other day, I saw him giving her the box. I'll check online later to see where we can get some more."
After ten minutes the box was half empty and you and Gar were delighted. You've never experienced such sensations eating candy, but boy those deserve the best of the reactions.
Quietly and without being caught,you placed the box back where it was. This way,you though, Kory wouldn't suspect anything. It was a big box, and the missing pieces would not be too obvious,unless you're keeping count on them. And apparently that's exactly what Kory did.
You were laying on the couch of the living room, alongside with Gar; you were both watching tv not really paying attention to the show displaying on the screen when you heard an angry voice shouting:
"Who ate all my candy!?"
Both of you shared a worried glance, scurrying away from the living room, and directly into one of your rooms. Apparently Kory was keeping count of the candy inside the box much to your misfortune. I guess you're not going to have time to replace them after all. But it was hundred percent worth it.
Why? Because i fcking can :)
But now have a context :0
The kind miss @yokochan69 She commented on an idea about Hallowen costumes, so despite being in November I could not resist.
I think what I liked the most was the little coincidence that it reminded me of Mothra and Godzilla (I'm a Kaiju fan) soo ... Yeah, most likely I drew TEAM CAP with a species Costume about the 4 titans ^^ "
October 2017 wrap up
I had an unexpectedly good reading month, considering both my work and university are slowly but surely becoming a crazy ride. I finished reading 12 books in a month, which is almost a double of what I manage to read usually! Furthermore I pretty much loved and enjoyed almost all of them! Let´s take them one by one in order I read them:
When Miss Emmie Was in Russia  (Harvey Pitcher)
The first book I finished in October was a non-fiction about English Nannies and governesses who, throughout the 19th and early 20th century, ventured into Imperial Russia to take care of well-situated babies and children. While I did reach for the book mainly because it is directly related to my diploma thesis (on which I am currently working), I think it was a delightful and fascinating account! It is a very approachable book giving statement of some truly remarkable women in rather remarkable situations. While the topic may seem very specific, you don´t need to be a scholar to enjoy it. 4 stars!
Roverandom (J.R.R. Tolkien)
When a small dog angers an arrogant old wizard over a yellow ball, he is turned into a small toy by his spell. And that is just the beginning of a story J.R.R. Tolkien wrote for one of his sons, who had lost his favourite dog toy once on a beach.  Few authors known for their epic words also understand fairy-tales and adventures. This may be a book for children, but it never feels infantile! Heart-warming, sweet and delightful. Also very short and ideal for readathons. I love Tolkien. 4 stars!
Peter the Great: His Life and World (R.K. Massie)
A work of truly mammoth proportions, so very detailed and thoroughly researched I can hardly imagine any other biography on Peter could give me more. The most famous of all Russian Tsars steps out of the pages vividly andone still feels both admiration and fear he had once inspired. It reads almost like a novel, both thanks to the skill of the author and because of Peter´s truly extraordinary existence and life. 5 stars!
Vampires in the Old Russia (Alexei Tolstoy)
I am quite sure the short stories included in this publications are translated and thus available in English as well, just not in a separate book like this one. In any case, this book surprised me - and pleasantly so! I had no idea what to expect, but I imaged a rather slow and boring style with ambiguous stories. Oh no! This reads really quickly, the author wastes no time and all the three stories included gave me chills! A very satisfying October read and perfect for anyone who likes the works of Bram Stoker! 4 stars!
The Shadow of the Wind (Carlos Ruiz Zafón)
A stunning book. Mystery, family tragedy, historical fiction, thriller - it encompasses a whole lot of literary styles and perfectly shapes them into one impressive story decorated with wonderful writing. I find it difficult to review this book, it is definitely something you should read without any preconcieved notions. But read it you should! 4,5 stars!
Lusitania: An Epic Tragedy (Diana Preston)
One of those non-fictions which read like fiction, yet are even more haunting since they once truly were a reality. This was the second book on Lusitania I have read and I suspect will be the last. The story of the sinking and the aftermath is just so depressing - and makes you in comparison realize what an organized and fairly "glamorous" event the sinking of the Titanic was. Just the length (Titanic 2 hours, Lusitania 20 minutes) gives you an idea. (Naturally both the tragedies were equally painful and I am not saying one was worse than the other when it comes to loss of life). Diana Preston gives a lot of information on all the events surrounding the ship, not merely the tragedy itself, and I have to admit some of it I skimmed. Still, a vivid and touching book that made me rather depressed. 4 stars!
Frankenstein (Mary Shelley)
Being in a Halloween mood (though we do not celebrate Hallowen here) I picked up a venerated classic written by Mary Shelley. I loved the atmosphere and the writing was beautiful. I liked the idea and one has to take into account how original and new it was at the time. Unfortunatelly, the book could never hold my attention for too long. I had to remind myself to pick it up again and again, I felt it dragged for most of the time, and I was actually glad when I finished. 3 stars!
Children of Irena Sendler (Anna Mieszkowska)
Not available in English as far as I gather, but you could find more books about this remarkable woman to draw some information from. And maybe better books too.  I felt this one was a bit disorganized and I wanted more of actual Irena, but that does not mean the information the publication carries are without value. On the contrary. More people need to read about Mrs. Sendler. You included. 3,75 stars!
ABBA: The Official photobook (Petter Karlsson)
ABBA was my most favourite music group when I was a kid and a teenager, and till this day I love them greatly.  The day the book arrived I immediatelly sat down and went through every photo and every word that it contained. Not much information was new to me, a passionate ABBA buff, but a large number of the (HQ and beautiful) photos are commented upon by the ABBA themselves which makes the book a delightful and new experience. 5 stars!
A Storm of Witchcraft: The Salem Trials and the American Experience (Emerson W. Baker)
I ploughed and skimmed my was through this book which felt longer than it shold have. While I can appreciate the research the author did and can see his attempts and neat organization of facts, the truth remains that the writing is bland and I felt bored. Bored by something as interesting as Salem witch trials! Furthermore, aside from enjoyment I rate non-fiction books according to how much I have learned. Here, sadly, the book fails again. I retained very little information after reading it. There was too many names, too much repeated information.... one got lost quickly in all that. Perhaps the book would do me better service had I previously had some notion about the Salem events, but unfortunatelly this was my first venture into the topic and not an encouraging one. 2 stars!
The Muse (Jessie Burton)
Jessie Burton is an author full of promise. Her debut novel was good, The Muse is better still. I think a bit more mystery would have added a lot to the atmosphere, since everything is really explained almost the moment one is introduced to the mystery, but I also admit that as the book progressed it was more and more difficult to put it down. Well written, with an interesting story and also including a wonderfully "normal" diversity (meaning the diverse characters are simply diverse and .... not caricatures... and not "just" that one thing that makes them diverse.... urgh... just go and read it yourself to understand), The Muse is a commendable piece of work. Looking forward to more by this author. 4 stars!
Ben Hur (Lewis Wallace)
The first time I picked the book up I put it down after three pages. The descriptions were too much for me. The second time I pulled through those first three pages, and  devoured the book in mere days, descriptions and all. Ben Hur has a strong story, and its descriptive nature (combined with the knowledge of WHEN the book was written) only ads to the captivating charm. The only thing I have to stress out is that the writing, at times, hobbles uncomfortably and awkwardly, and the treatement of two love interests of the hero is... well... pretty much just regular sexist and while I understand the society was like this in 1880s.... it still is not my favourite thing. Finally: I utterly love the film with Charlton Heston. It is a masterpiece. And the book added to my love for it even more. 4 stars!
So there you have it my dear fellow booklings! Have you read any of these books? What did you think of them? Do you agree with me or not? And what did you read last month? I would love to know!
Halloween Horror Nights 2017 Review
Halloween Horror Nights 2017 Review
We have ever seen so much black plywood in the mazes of Halloween Horror Nights. Has it always been there and we just never noticed? We think not. Production value has always been the power-punch that Universal Studios Hollywood used to knock out the competition, but much of what we saw this year felt like a fun house. In between the great set-pieces we have come to expect were unadorned…
Un café con... Doi Rohlk Creag
Tumblr media
 1.      ¿Qué puedes contarnos sobre tu familia? ¿Qué relación tienes con ella?
Pues...Mis padres murieron cuando yo era pequeño y supongo que teníamos una relación buena, pero no me acuerdo. Me he criado con mi hermano mayor, Sne, él ha sido siempre mi mayor apoyo, pero cuando yo tenía quince años...Ocurrió un accidente con un veneno y casi le pierdo. Bueno, estuvo varios meses en coma y no iba a despertar, así que para no perderle a él también para siempre, metí su alma en mi amuleto y ahora está conmigo siempre. Mi sobrina Pholie es mi única familia de “sangre” que me queda y es un amor. Y luego, tengo a mi mejor amiga Nitz que es como una hermana y mi novio Wyb, que no son de sangre, pero son mi familia también.
2.      ¿Cómo afrontó tu familia la tragedia de tu hermano?
Mi sobrina mal...Pero hicimos lo posible por hacérselo ameno. Yo si tuve una época mala, me acuerdo que me metí en mi mundo, bebí, trataba mal a todo el mundo…
3.      ¿Qué tradiciones familiares recuerdas? ¿Nació alguna a raíz de aquella etapa?
Recuerdo...Recuerdo de niños cuando íbamos al campo los días de sol y cantábamos durante horas mientras hacia plantas. Era muy bonito. También recuerdo las noches de Hallowen, solíamos irnos a una montaña...Alguna Navidad si no nevaba, solíamos cambiar el tiempo para que fuera más blanco todo. Todas nuestras tradiciones han tenido relación con la naturaleza.
4.      Háblanos de algún recuerdo especialmente vívido que conserves.
Con trece años...¡En la playa! Cerca de unos acantilados...Estaba con mi hermano, hicimos una hoguera pequeñita y nos tiramos por unos ríos, estuvimos jugando con peces, no eran ríos, eran cascadas, un lugar mágico. Fue uno de los días más felices de mi vida, y dormimos al sol después de comer, lo repetiría todos los días si pudiera.
5.      ¿Cómo te definirías como persona? ¿Cuáles consideras que son tus virtudes?
Soy bueno, a ver, siempre procuro pensar en los demás, asegurarme que están bien, no pienso en ayudar para llevarme beneficios, por ejemplo, mis plantas, las regalo si la gente las necesita. Pienso que soy agradable, sincero, leal, soy muy leal siempre y noble. Creo que una de mis mejores virtudes son, ser noble de corazón y el querer ayudar siempre y por encima de todo a las personas que están mal y a los animales, son mi debilidad. Supongo que eso son virtudes, a mí me sirve...¡Y que soy muy alegre! Estoy todo el día riendome, sonriendo y viendo el lado bueno. Me gusta la vida y aprovecho y vivo cada día con intensidad, sí, esas son mis virtudes.
6.      ¿Qué valores crees que son los más importantes en una persona?
Aprecio mucho la sinceridad, más que cualquier cosa, bueno y que sea una persona buena. De creencias, me da un poco igual en lo que crea...Salvo que perjudique a alguien, por ejemplo, la creencia de considerar un arte el maltrato animal, no lo tolero. Es imperdonable. De hecho, una de mis preguntas más comunes siempre es saber si a esa persona le gustan los animales, porque eso dice mucho de alguien. Así que, aprecio y tengo en cuenta en eso, muy en cuenta.
7.      Y el cuanto al terreno profesional… Actualmente, ¿estudias o trabajas?
Las dos cosas. Estoy en mi segundo año de veterinaria, para salvar y curar animales...Y trabajo algunos días a la semana en un jardín botánico y de vez en cuando cuido niños.
8.      Todo el mundo tiene algún objetivo, un sueño, algo que quieren conseguir aunque les cueste. ¿Cuál es el tuyo?
Me gustaría poder curar y salvar al mayor número de animales. Aprender a utilizar bien mi magia para ayudar a otras personas..Esos han sido y son mis sueños de siempre.
9.      Antes has mencionado a  tu pareja, Wyb, que supongo, será un apoyo bastante importante. ¿Qué significa para ti?
Lo significa todo para mí. Lleva conmigo desde que ocurrió lo de mi hermano. Al principio me cuidaba en su casa, éramos simples compañeros de piso, pero el cariño fue creciendo, su trato, siempre me ha hecho sentir importante, me ha dado importancia, podría decir como Rose en Titanic, que me ha salvado de todas las formas en las que se puede salvar a una persona. Nunca me ha tratado mal y cada día me demuestra que me quiere a pesar de los años, a veces me sorprende que alguien de su edad me quiera, muchas veces pienso que estoy soñando.
10.       ¿Cuál es tu filosofía en cuanto a compartir la vida con los demás?
Hay que ser tolerante con las personas y tener paciencia y poca gente la tiene. En cuanto a vivir con alguien, puede ser la ruina o un tesoro, convivir con una persona es muy duro, tienes que hacerte a sus gustos, a los tuyos y mezclarlo todo y si no tienes paciencia y tolerancia es muy dificil, como diariamente. En el trabajo, en clase, por eso es muy importante ser tolerante, también tener empatia, cuanto más entiendas a una persona, más sencillo es convivir con ella de la manera que sea, por unas horas o para toda la vida.
11.      ¿Hay algo que te dé miedo?
Perder a las personas que quiero, no necesariamente porque mueran, que también. Y hacerles daño, me aterra.
12.      Si pudieras regresar en el tiempo y volver a vivir el pasado, ¿Qué cambiarías o volverías a vivir?
Cambiaría los disgustos que le he dado a mi hermano, no le daría tanta importancia a mi cuerpo y cosas sin importancia y volvería a vivir...Cualquier momento con mi hermano, echo de menos su voz y que me llame Bombilla para fastidiar.
13.      ¿Y qué hay del futuro? ¿Qué perspectivas tienes?
Me veo con mi chico, diez hijos, ocho animales y dos humanos, mucha salud y con una clínica refugio para la salvación de los animales.
16 with Dick please 😊
Hi! Thanks for requesting hopefully you'll enjoy this!!
16."This was a bad a idea"
~~~~~
"This was a bad idea" you said looking at Dick with an angry expression. Your ears were red in embarrassment, you were professionals something like this did not happen. You knew it was a bad idea from the beginning but Dick being Dick dismissed all your objections about it and when with it again.
"How was I supposed to know that this was going to happen!?" He dared to ask. You were dumbfounded about the stupidity of your boyfriend. You pinched the bridge of your nose trying hard not to yell at him, because this was not the time nor the place to do so. So you tried to remain calmed. Tonight was going to be a fun night you told yourself earlier in the morning. It was halloween,one of your favorite holidays, and it gave you the excuse to eat candy all day and dragged Dick towards stupid halloween themed parties. But no, apparently your smart boyfriend had other ideas. Because apparently halloween was not an excuse to stop patrolling the city. While you admired his professionalism and his work ethics tonight you wanted to put all of that aside and have a fun night, but alas here you were freezing your ass on a poorly lit alley with a body laying stiff on the ground.
"How were you supposed to know? Seriously!?" You walked closer to him "tell me again and slow, how going out to patrol on halloween was a freaking good idea when you knew everyone was going to be dressed up as the fucking joker!?" You were angry, boiling. Your neck felt hot and your fists were balled on your side, keeping you from actually punching Dick.
A minute passed, the silence made everything much,much worse for him. With his hands on his hips he spoke quietly
"I...did not considere that" he said, embarrassed about the situation.
"Yeah,no shit Sherlock" you said, throwing your hands in the air. One thing that was on your side tho, it was that since it was halloween no one would believe that the real Nightwing had punched an civilian for being dressed as the Joker. There were so many kids and adults dressed up as their favourite superhero - Nightwing include - that it was hard to tell who was who. Luckily for them, masks were their best friend tonight. You complained, again but decided that there was no need to keep sulking about it.
"Let's just put him against the wall, and get out of here" you said, motioning Dick to start working. Lifting dead weight was hard,so when Dick didn't see you helping him he stopped, looking at you for an answer.
"Oh I'm not helping you with this, you fucked up, you fixed it. I'm going to see if I can get some candy" you waved goodbye, leaving the boy dumbstruck. He looked at your silhouette disappeared into the night, he looked down at the body on his arms and said:
"I guess we're just you and and I buddy"

Hi💖 can you please do 28 with Dick? Like him being a sweet grumpy bf idk 😅
Hii! Thanks for requesting,sorry it took so long, I hope you like it!
28."Why aren't you wearing a costume?" "I am, I came as myself"
~~~~~
Music was blasting all throughout Donna's apartment, so loudly that the walls were trembling. A sea of people covered most of what was designated as the "dance floor", and everyone was having fun. People were wearing colorful costumes and face full of make up to resemble some of the most famous monsters and characters from movies and TV shows. Everyone, even Jason, were dressed up as something, and you were not the exception. Since Dick agreed to come to the party, you - after promising to do whatever is that Dick wanted - both decided that you'd do something cute and get dressed as something fun, so you opted for something simple knowing that Dick was a pain in the ass when it come to this, but he would most likely say yes to some chill costume. You were supposed to be Daphne and Fred from Scooby Doo. The costume was easy, Dick just had to wear some jeans,boots, and a white sweater with a blue button up below that. And yours was just a purple dress and shoes. Nothing too complicated, nothing too notorious yet easy to recognize. You rolled your eyes when Dick texted you that he was most likely to be late since there was something he needed to take care of first before going to the party. You checked your clothes in the mirror and replied that it was okay, and that his costume was placed on the bed for him to change as soon as he got home.
You arrived at the party, excited to see do many people having fun. You breath in, relishing in the hot atmosphere as the smell of alcohol filled your nostrils. It's been a long time since you were to a proper party, so of course you were going to make the most of it.
It was an hour later when Dick arrived; he frowned when someone bumped into him. The amount of intoxicated people and the smell of sweat threw him off immediately. He wasn't fond of parties, specially costume ones. He spent ten minutes looking for you when he finally spotted you, laughing alongside Dawn. You were on your third cup and kinda annoyed that Dick wasn't here with you. You felt a pair of hands on your hips pulling you closer towards a firm chest. You yelped from the surprise, and relaxed when the strong smell of cologne filled your nose. You knew that smell. You turned around with a playful smile, ready to kiss your boyfriend,but your expression fell when you saw that he was in his regular clothes.
"why aren't you wearing a costume?"
"I am, I came as myself"
You glared at him, removing your hands from his neck and crossing them across your chest.
"you promised me you'd wear a costume" You said annoyed "now I'm just look like an idiot without my Fred"
Dick rolled his eyes, grabbing the cup from your hands to finish drinking its contents. He hissed when he felt the liquid burning down his throat.
"christ what are you drinking? Gasoline?" He asked , ignoring the way your eyes hardened.
"what?" He asked confused. Rolling your eyes you went to the nearest table to get a new drink. You should've known that Dick was going to pull something like this, he was quite the grinch when it came to Halloween. Once again a pair of hands snaked around your torso pulling you closer towards his. You hummed when he kissed your neck. As angry as you were with him it was quite hard to resist his mouth on your body.
"I'm sorry" he said genuinely, "I can make it up to you, you know" he implied, his voice sweet like honey. You turned around and gave him a kiss that knocked his socks off. He was elated to receive such a prize from you,even though he was non deserving of it.
"you know what you can do to make it up to me?" You asked, biting your lower lip.
"mmh how?" He kissed you jaw, eyes closed, loosing himself in the sweet scent from your perfume. He was too preoccupied trying to seduce you, so you could forgive him, that when you suddenly pushed him away he frowned.
"you could go home and get changed" you say smiling sweetly at him. You grabbed your drink,kissed his cheek and walked away leaving a confused looking Dick, who was clearly expecting something else from you. He watched as you walked from him without bothering to look back at him. He had a long night ahead to correct his wrongdoings; he sighed before muttering:
"Jeepers"
Dick Grayson x reader where they are at a fair and she’s scared of clowns (gotta love the joker) and he’s sweet and comforting about it?
Hi! Thanks for the ask this was so cute! Hopefully you'll like this!
~~~~~
"what should we do next?" Y/n asked. They have been at the fair for at least an hour and they were nowhere near halfway through the attractions. Yn loved fairs, but it's been years since the last time she's been to one, luckily for her Dick and the rest of the group were kind enough to indulge into her desires. After all it was almost Halloween and the spooky season was one of her favourites, so she begged the team to come with her. Truthfully she was hoping to go with Dick alone, but inviting everyone was an excuse to spend an evening with her crush.
"well there's a haunted house here, should we try that?" Hank said, looking excited.
"I don't know..." Y/n said doubtfully. While she loved the whole spooky season and scary stuff aesthetic, she was not much of a fan of getting scared.
"C'mon y/n! Look if you're scared you can always hold my hand" Hank said, sending a wink her way. She wasn't aware of the glare that Dick sent Hank. His jaw clenched, trying hard not to look like he was about to kill Hank.
"whatever" y/n said rolling her eyes.
Hank, Dawn, Donna and Kory walked first inside the house, leaving a looking scary y/n and Dick behind.
"hey it's fine,we can do something else if you want to" he said placing a hand on her lower back. Y/n felt her face getting hot. She shook her head before speaking:
"no, it's fine we can go" she said smiling sweetly at him.
Dick looked at her and smiled back. They both went inside the house. The first few minutes went fine. Nothing too scary, just some guys dressed up as Dracula and zombies. Y/n was doing okay for the most part, not leaving Dick's side.
They were talking, mostly to distract themselves from the scary looking monsters when suddenly a guy dressed up a a clown, that quite resembled the Joker, screamed in front of them.
Y/n felt as if her heart was going to come out of her chest. She screamed felling her chest heavy, trying really hard not to look at the guy in front of her. She felt tears welled up in her eyes and suddenly two hands grabbed her shoulders and dragged her our of the house.
"hey,hey look at me. Are you okay?" Dick asked concerned painting his face.
"im-im fine sorry. I just hate clowns" she said embarrassed about that fact.
"hey it's okay, everyone is scared of something" he said trying to comfort the girl. He caressed her cheek, making the girl blush a little. The unexpected contact making her skin tingle.
"you too?" She asked shyly.
"of course. It's just that mine is way more embarrassing and I'll never tell you about it" he said nonchalantly. Y/n giggled, punching his arm.
"C'mon tell me" she said smiling.
"nu-uh. You'll laugh"
"i promise I won't, c'mon Dick"
"fine. But you have to promise not to tell anyone" he said with a serious look on his face.
"cross my heart" she said.
"i hate spiders. Whenever I look at them I just ugh". Y/n looked at him before giggling like a maniac. She was definitely not expecting that.
"oh my god dick,I thought you were going to say something like, I don't know, flying on planes or something along those lines. Not spiders" she said wiping the tears that came out because of how hard she was laughing.
"hey! You promised not to laugh" he said smiling alongside with the girl.
"I'm sorry" she said with a wide grin on her face. She was feeling a lot better now.
Dick looked at her and without giving a second thought he kissed her forehead making the girl turned crimson red.
"what do you say we get out of here? Maybe we can go get a drink or something?" He asked nervous about her answer.
She nodded "yeah, I'd like that very much"

Prompt 6. and 9. from the Halloween prompt list with Dick Grayson please 🙈 maybe that y/n is extremely scared and clings to him... fluffy please 🥰
Hi! Thanks for the ask, if you'd like some more you can go here!
6."I'm not going into that haunted house"
9."Did you hear that?"
~~~~~~
"I'm not going" you turned around giving the brown eyed boy a view of your back "and you can't convince me otherwise."
Dick stifled a laugh, grabbing you by the shoulders and turning you around, so you'll able to look into his eyes. You huffed, tightening your coat around you so the crispy autumn air will not get to you. The amount of layers of clothing that you were under, did not seemed to dissipate the coldness you were feeling ever since getting out of the tower this afternoon.
"C'mon it's going to be fun! I'll let you hold my and and everything" Dick said, giving you a suggestive smile. Your face felt hot under his gaze,it was a nice contrast with with cold weather. You looked past Dick, seeing the place where he wanted to take you, and shuddered at the though of what was expecting you there.
"I'm not going into that haunted house." You said shaking your head. Truth was, you were in a bit of a predicament. While spending the day with Dick,and to even get to hold his hand was your everyday dream, you did not like the fact that you have to get scared to do so. You wish Dick had said that under different circumstances.
"c'mooon, I'll buy you dinner later if you go with me. Please?" You bit your lip, contemplating your options. You were going to eventually say yes to him. Like you always do, but there was something so... attractive about dick begging you. You pulled your scarf around your mouth trying to hide the ever-growing smile before answering.
"fine"
Dick smile widened, and without giving second thought he grabbed your hand pulling you towards the entrance of the haunted house. The house was darker than you had expected. The strong smell of bleach made your eyes water a little, and you had to cover you nose to block the scent from settling in your nostrils for the rest of the day. Despite being a cold day, the air inside the house felt humid and the floor felt muddy, as if it's been years since someone did maintenance in that house.
The first monster appeared on your right; it was a man dressed up as a mommy -a cheap looking one if your being honest- given that it appeared out of nowhere you shrieked when you hear the oh so familiar 'boo' out of the man's mouth.
Dick laughed, letting you squeeze his bicep, he didn't complain about your iron grip on his arm because this has been his plan all along. Scare you so he could be the one comforting you? The plan was foolproof, or so he thought.
"fuck this was a bad idea, Dick" you said, pulling him closer by his jacket. By the third monster you were on the verge of tears. You hated getting sacred,but you though that maybe this wasn't going to be so bad, boy were you wrong. Behind you the floor squeaked, making the hairs on your neck stand. Your hands got sweaty and even though you knew what was coming next you couldn't help to feel anxious about it.
"did you hear that?" You asked in a trembling voice, clinging onto Dick you felt his strong arms encircled your body. While it put you at ease for a second, the noises coming from behind did nothing to stop the erratic beating of you heart.
"don't worry I gotchu" Dick said, lips barely gracing your ear. The sensation of his hot breath touching your skin made your heat ache in a good way. You felt your skin on fire from the closeness and the heat radiating from him. To hell with the stupid haunted house,you could stay in his arms all day.
You felt so at ease and enamoured by his touch, that you didn't realize that you were outside of the house already. The cold air hit your face and you welcomed the cold. it have a refreshing feeling after being inside that house. You were still on Dick's arms when you felt him chuckle. The rumble of his chest snapped you out of your daydream and awkwardly maneuvered your way outside his arms. Yoy felt the embarrassment crept from your neck towards your cheeks. Dick only smiled with fondness in his eyes. With one finger he lifted your chin so you could look at him directly into his brown eyes. The blush intensified, and you parted your lips trying to form a coherent sentence but the look on his face was making you struggle to find the words. He smiled one more time before dipping his head so he could be at the same level as you. His lips were closer to yours, but never quite touching. Your eyes closed out of instinct, but the kiss never came. You furrowed your brows and opened your eyes once again,. before you could ask what was going on, his lips were on yours. It was a toe-curling kiss. The one that made you feel fireworks exploding inside. The kind that you can't get enough of. When the two of you separated, your lips were tingling; your lifted your hand to touch them,not fully believing that you had just kissed Dick Grayson. His smile was nothing but smug. That bastard knew how good the kiss was and was just relishing on your reaction. Placing one chaste kiss on your lips he intertwined his fingers with yours before speaking:
"so, dinner?"
Could you do Halloween prompt “oh my god, I think the crystal ball is working. The spirits are telling me you’re a dumbass” for Jason Todd and older sister!reader (also a Wayne adoptee)?
Hi! Thanks for the request this one was fun to write 😂. Sorry it took me so long hopefully you'll like it!!
~~~~
"Tell me again, why did I agree to do this?" You asked, looking at Jason who was holding a crystal ball between his hands.
"Cause I'm your favourite brother, and you can't say no to this face" Jason replied, smile widening as he saw your mouth twitch up at the corners. He might've had a point.
"Fine, but I'm not responsible for any angry spirits haunting the manor" you retorted, raising your hands. Jason rolled his eyes but agreed. It was just the two of you, since the others were nowhere in sight. Jason had gone all the way out and even prepared the living room to match the atmosphere of the activity you were about to perform.
The lights were out and the only thing illuminating the room were the fifty -yes that many - candles that Jason sprawled around the room. Each one of them were carefully placed to give the room an eerie look. What Jason did not think about, was that each candle had a different scent, so not only the room looked bad lit, but also smelled horrible. The smell made you gag for the first five minutes but once you get used to it,it wasn't so bad. Jason sat in front of the crystal ball, placing hot hands on top of it. He looked as if it wasn't the first time he'd done this. You purses your lips, trying hard not to laugh at your dumb brother. When something like this got into his head,it was impossible for him to let it go, unless he tried something first. This usually meant, you had to try it too. It's been this way since you can remember, but you didn't care.
The cold breeze that blew inside the room was provided by the opened window, you shivered slightly, this didn't go unnoticed by your little brother.
"Scared already? I haven't even started yet" he mocked you. Rolling your eyes you urged him to do something already.
"Sorry sis, this takes time. You can't just rush the spirits"
"Whatever, let's just start so I can go watch some TV" you said, crossing your hands across your chest. The irritation was starting to set in on you, and Jason's cocky attitude was not helping. He put his hands on top of the ball, once again, and finally started what was supposed to be a seance.
You knew that Jason was serious about this whole thing,but it was hilarious the way he was trying to call the spirits; you tried hard not to laugh but it was nearly impossible. No way that a 10 dollar crystal could call anyone from beyond the grave.
Ten minutes had passed and still nothing. The candles were burning out and most of them were already out by the time Jason finished his fifth try.
"Maybe the spirits are sleeping" you tried, biting your lip, containing a laugh.
"Shut up,I'm just not putting enough energy that's it" he defended in a harsh tone.
"Let me try" you said signaling for him to give you the ball.
"No"
"Jason"
"I said no"
"And I said give me that ball,or I'm telling Bruce what happened to his precious antique clock that suddenly got destroyed when a dumbass used his motorcycle inside the house"
The crystal ball was already in your hands before you could even finish the sentence.
You smiled at you little brother, mocking him for being so dumb.
"Okay,now let's try for real." You placed both hands on top of the ball, copying what you've seen on countless movies and started reciting something along the lines of: 'if there's a spirit in here please make yourself present'
Nothing happened of course,but your plan was different from the beginning. You gasped, shooting your eyes open, you looked to your side and saw that Jason was looking at you with widened eyes. 'Gotcha' you thought before continuing your little act.
You ran your hands across the crystal ball, nodding as if you were trying to understand what the spirit was saying. Gasping s second time, just for fun, you looked back at Jason who's expression had changed from surprised to kinda scared. He was shifting uncomfortably in his seat and he looked kinda pale. He shivered, 'this is my time' you thought and started speaking:
"O-oh my god, it's working. The crystal ball is working. And the spirits, they're t-telling me that you're a dumbass" you couldn't have delivered that line more seriously. You cackled when you saw Jason's blank expression. It's like his brain did not make the connection yet and you were already rolling on the floor. It took him a little more than you had expected,but when he realized you were fucking with him he huffed.
"Fuck off" he said. His face was hotter than a summer day, and the pink on his cheeks did not go unnoticed by you. He was so embarrassed. You on the other hand, were laughing so hard a few years escaped you eyes. He got up and left without saying another word.
"Oh c'mon little bro, that was funny!" You called behind him.
"Fuck you! You're cleaning everything up now!"
"Hey,no wait I didn't put this shit in here. Come back and clean this- Jason!" You stopped laughing and walked behind him.
Needless to say, Dick got quite the surprise when he came back and saw that fifty candles had burned out on top of his favourite table.
