𝐃𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐘𝐮𝐫𝐚 - 𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧~

My favorite part about the holidays is and will always be the celebration with loved ones. Birthdays, Christmas, even Halloween. The greatest thing to take from them? The memories. Especially when year by year they start becoming more unique. More special. Halloween has always been the IT celebration for me, as you might know! It's always been the most special and looked forward to holiday. It used to be because of my brother, our special time that slowly decreased until one day it just didn't happen anymore. It became a holiday to remember, for me, the good times. And now? Now, it's all about fun with friends, building memories, and creating unique experiences ♡

This year's Halloween has been a BLAST, from the process of getting ready at home with friends, doing our make-up, and last-minute costume fixes–. To the club hopping, to the partying with my love... It's been memorable (っ´ω｀)っ

I went more extra with my makeup than I did with my actual costume, to be honest! I changed into an all black fit and carried a bloody knife around, haha! I did everyones makeup too, so that's why I chose to take it easy with the actual fit, to be honest, I knew I'd be short in time, haha. It was okay, though! I was more excited about the partying, really!

We started off the night in a very chill bar, had some food, and had a blast before moving to Wonderland to see San! He was the cutest boxer if you ask me! Took us to an AMAZING house party! Ah–. I've never been to a Halloween house party, isn't that insane? Been to a bunch of clubs for Halloween and countless events! But a house party? Was a first! It was great, though. It's always amazing being surrounded by such energy, having fun like that, and just be... Normal!

All in all, I'd say this Halloween was one of the best ones I've had so far. I'm surely never forgetting that night ♡

Had a lot of fun with this one! My natural rbf came in very handy for it too. The mirror image edits look pretty neat and it was a good time editing them but they might be all over the place because of it. Still spooky though. 🎃 Wearing so many layers! A little bit about Vlad Țepeș and Dracula

I’m a huge Dracula fan and I like to research in my free time about the myth and the real history behind it. So I talk a little about Vlad Țepeș, Bram Stoker’s Dracula, The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova, Coppola’s 1992 Dracula movie and the classic vampire anime/manga: Hellsing.

Vlad Țepeș – Count Dracula in Real Life

Vlad III, also known as Vlad Drăculea and Vlad Țepeș (Vlad, o Impaler), was born at Sighișoara, in December 7, 1431. Son of Vlad II, back then the prince of Wallachia, soon he moved to Târgoviște – the principality capital.

Both Vlad II, the father, and Vlad III used the name “Dracul”, one of the ways to identify them as part of the Order of the Dragon – that had as a goal to defend christian Europe from the advances by the Ottoman Empire. The Order, was created in 1408 by the king of Hungary, Sigismund of Luxemburg, and the queen Barbara von Cilli – having, also, a religious idea behind it.

The name Vlad Drăculea, also, can be translated as “son of the dragon”. Some translations, though, can be done as “son of the devil” – once that the word in latin “dracul” is used many times to refer to the devil. In addition, on Saint Benedict’s medal – used frequently by exorcist priests – is written for the saint to deliver the wearer from the dragon.

When he was 11 years old, though, Vlad III and his younger brother, Radu, were given by their father to Murad II – then sultan of the Ottoman Empire – as a guarantee that he wouldn’t rise against the ottomans. Living in Constantinople – nowadays Istanbul – Vlad learned the language and behaviours.

It’s also said that it was during this time that he learned to war and picked up his extremely cruel habits in battle – especially the impaling tecnique.

With the death of Vlad II by the hands of noble men, Vlad III, on his 17 years old, started his incursions to take back the throne of Wallachia, while his brother Radu prefered to remain on Turkey with the ottomans. When he was 25 years old, Vlad III took back Wallachia, killing Vladislav II – who governed the principality back then.

Vlad became known by his resistance against the Ottoman Empire – even becoming an example in the region. However, with his brother Radu leading an attack, he was taken from the rule of Wallachia, running away to the Hungarian Empire – that even helped Wallachia with resources.

Living as a prisioner on the Hungarian Empire, Vlad III even got married, had children and participated on the royal life. After some years, though, he decided to conquer back his lands – once Radu, his brother, had already died. Getting back to Wallachia, the ruler back then, Bassarabe, prefered to run away then face him.

Vlad III died when he was 45 years old, under still misterious circumstances. Some say the ottomans killed him trying to get Bassarabe back on the throne, others say he died the same way as his father. A part of people comment that his remains are in the island of Snagov, while another part say he was decapitated and his head taken to Constantinople.

But no one knows for certain what happened and his remains, apparently, weren’t found to this day.

This is what I could put together with my researches for now - I depend solely on books and the internet, so please be nice if there’s something wrong.

I’m always willing to learn more about Vlad III and Dracula: there are a lot of controversial and even shady things about the actual historic facts and some aren’t even a consensus of what actually happened. I put together the ones that seem to be for sure.

Hello, hello, my little monsters! How's the week been treating you guys? How's life and coping with the best ever season going? (≡^��^≡)

Today's little post to keep the spirits up is just a throwback Thursday post! I don't really do these much, but I guessed since I missed last year that I could give a recap of that!

Lets begin by saying that last year was CRAZY. I don't know if you guys are aware that San works at this supernatural club, I might've never mentioned it, but he does. When I tell you he came home one day and the first thing I did was embarrass myself–. (*´ー｀*)

How often does YOUR lover become the King of Hell? That alone let me tell you made for a never thought before experience. Not saying I hated it, though!

Last year there was a huge party in town too! Well, out of it, actually. It was so fun and exciting! I've never before attended such an elaborate event, I don't think. Of course, I've attended awesome parties, but this was a whole Halloween Town kind of thing. It was just out of the city, and let me tell you, I'm still not over it. Sadly, I couldn't bring San along as he was suffering from making-people-too-hot syndrome, but it totally is on my bucket list for the next time they come around!

I think last year was the first time my friends and I actually explored a lot more outside of our comfort zone. We usually keep to the city for safety reasons, we know everywhere we go, we have friends and family nearby, it's easy to catch a car to go back home–. But we found SO many amazing haunted houses, labyrinths, fairs, and photo spots just outside of the city. I'm super thrilled to explore more this year because most of these really last the entirety of autumn season, so I want to make sure I get to experience all of it.

It's been a while since I've moved here, and I find it that I'm still very new and unfamiliar with most stuff, so I think the biggest thing last Halloween left me was the knowledge that theres more than just city events, I guess? (o≧▽≦)ﾉ

I have SO much content from last year that I never got to share, so I'll make sure to make a post ONLY for it. A small gallery let it be, for all of you interested, of course, and just to keep a record of one of the best Halloweens ever!

Parkner Halloween Week! Day Six, October 30 - Jack o lantern, Pumpkin Patch “That’s pretty creepy looking.”

Sweat stuck to every crook in Peter’s body, it felt disgusting and rolled off his face in waves. He squinted under the bright and burning sun of the south and huffed his annoyance at being there once again. Harley looked up at the brunette and laughed while tearing off yet another layer, he threw his plaid shirt aside and smirked.

“How the fuck did you deal with this. Every. Single. Day.” Peter spat as he trudged over to Harley, being careful to step over the rows of pumpkins littering the ground.

“‘S really not that bad, you’re just used to your city weather. This-“ Harley spun around while gesturing to the open field they were standing in with small amounts of people lingering around, “-this is the country.”

“No fucking shit.” Peter panted as he tore off his jacket and threw it on top of Harley’s which was lying messily one top of an abandoned pumpkin.

“C’mon, darl. Lighten up, enjoy yourself. ‘S not everyday you get to visit Tennessee and enjoy our Halloween festivities.” Harley mirrored Peter’s pout and slouched his shoulders.

“Your festivities suck.” Peter whined and emphasised his pout even further making Harley laugh loudly.

“You won’t be saying that later tonight when these are done and it cools off.” Harley pointed out as he stepped towards Peter with his hands on his hips. Peter frowned at him and deepened his annoyed expression.

“Wanna bet?”

“Oh c’mon, Pete! I don’t complain about the New York weather!” Harley was now the one whining which made Peter laugh. A couple who had been wandering a few metres beside them started to stare and Peter blushed as Harley apologised.

“Alright I’ll...I’ll stop complaining...for a little bit...” Peter offered and Harley rolled his eyes with nothing else to do but agree to Peter’s terms.

“Sure thing, now have you picked one yet?” Harley asked as he bent down to examine a large pumpkin dividing the two teens.

“No, I’ve been too busy trying to not die of heatstroke.” Peter muttered and began to walk forwards along the line of pumpkins, inspecting briefly before moving along to the next.

“How ‘bout this one?” Harley asked making Peter spin around. He had to bite his tongue not to comment on the blondes southern accent drawling out as he spoke. He wondered if it had something to do with being back in his hometown but he sure as hell wasnt complaining! It was attractive as hell!

Peter stepped back towards Harley and bobbed down next to him to look at the bright orange pumpkin Harley was stroking, “what is it a puppy or somethin’?” Peter laughed and swatted Harley’s hand away.

“Hey, we take good care of these down here! They’re treated better than dogs most of the time.” Harley shot back and returned his hand to smoothly feeling the bumps of the pumpkin before him.

“I reckon it’s perfect.” Peter approved and Harley beamed as he rose to his feet and cracked his back.

“Well let’s get this baby in the ‘barrow hey?”

“Let’s get this baby in the ‘barrow hey?” Peter finally gave in to the urge and mocked Harley’s accent with a shit eating grin on his face. Harley spun around the second he opened his mouth and narrowed his eyes with a mischievous smirk on his lips.

“What’d you say, Parker?” Harley taunted as he stepped closer to Peter who took one back, now starting to regret his previous actions.

“Ooh we’re on last name basis now Keener? Ouch gotta say that hurts.” Peter quipped quickly as Harley took another step forward. Peter took one back but felt his foot hook on something else and his body stumbled backwards. His heart lurched in his chest from the unexpected action but even with spider reflexes he couldn’t catch himself. He soon realised, much to his dismay, he had tripped on a pumpkin and was now lying in the mud between the rows of the orange food.

“Ah shit, these were my good Nike’s.” Peter grumbled when he glanced over Harley’s back at his muddy shoes after Harley had launched himself onto the other boy as soon as he fell.

“You’re a clutz, Parker.” Harley laughed and pushed a muddy strand of Peter’s hair out of his eyes while he kneeled over top of his body.

“Yeah yeah I know. Trust me the first time I realised was when I was on patrol and there was this billboard right? I was swinging around and-“ Peter started to ramble but was cut off when Harley surged forwards and pushed his lips against Peter’s.

Lucky for Peter Parker, Harley Keener found rambling, clumsy, spider vigilantes extremely attractive. Peter smiled into the kiss and pushed back, moving one of his arms around Harley’s neck to run through his wavy blonde hair and left the other to support both the teens weight on the ground.

Harley pulled back to catch his breath and laughed at Peter’s increased panting.

“You wanna go get our pumpkins done so we can cool off? I know a good swim hole.” Harley smirked and Peter cocked his eyebrow high up on his forehead.

“I have two replies to that. The first being hell yes I’m hotter than the fucking sun right now and the second, are you just saying that to get me shirtless?”

“You can’t prove anything.” Harley sent a wink at Peter who blushed and felt his own heart rate increase as Harley lifted himself from being on top of him and pulled himself to his feet. Peter followed suit and smiled as he heard Harley’s heart begin to thump faster when he intertwined their fingers.

“You getting nervous babe?” Peter teased and Harley internally cursed that Peter could hear his heart. Damn spider powers.

“Nope.” Harley effortlessly replied while popping the ‘p’ but Peter laughed as his heart skipped a beat from nerves once again then thrummed louder.

“You can’t lie to me.” Peter whispered into his ear as they walked hand in hand, now covered in mud, back towards their pumpkins to collect them and put them in the wheelbarrow.

Once the two had taken their pumpkins back to Harley’s garage and been for a quick dip followed by some kisses then Harley’s sister yelling at them to stop contaminating the water, they decided to get started on their jack o lanterns.

They had been working for a couple of hours now and the old A/C wasn’t very helpful in the heat. Peter had left his wet board shorts on and not bothered with a shirt knowing he would just get hot again and Harley settled on wearing his plaid shirt unbuttoned along with his damp shorts which kept him cool.

“How’s yours going?” Peter asked as he leaned backwards in his chair and made a satisfied hum when his back cracked in multiple places.

“It’s going. How ‘bout you?” Harley asked and looked up from his much practiced carving skills at his boyfriend who was staring lovingly at him.

“You look hot when you work.” Peter breathed dreamily before running a nervous hand through his curls. Harley laughed and rose from his chair to give him a kiss. Harley strided over in a couple of steps with his long legs and wrapped his arms around Peter’s back while resting his head on the brunettes shoulder before peppering his sharp jawline in kisses. “Harls- Harley!- stop- Harley!” Peter giggled between breaths as Harley moved from his jaw to his neck and finally curled his head around to reach Peter’s lips.

“You almost done yours? It’s gonna be dark soon.” Harley whispered as he drew back and leaned his head on Peter’s shoulder.

“Should be, give me another ten minutes.” Peter whispered back and gave Harley a peck on the cheek before turning back to his masterpiece.

“That’s...” Harley trailed off before finding his words again, “that’s pretty creepy looking.”

Peter pouted at his creation with the lit candle inside, the carved out eyes were narrowed in a menacing kind of way with the creepiest grin on the front of his pumpkins face.

“In a hot, sexy kind of way!” Harley corrected when he saw Peter’s mood drop but smiled when it rose again.

“Yours is amazing.” Peter complimented as he leaned his head on Harley’s shoulder and felt the hammock the two were lying in rock back and forth.

“I’ve been making these since I was six, of course it’s amazing.” Harley smugly replied making Peter laugh and give him a nudge in the ribs.

“You have to teach me to do that.” Peter whispered as he repositioned his head into Harley’s chest who hummed and stroked his hair.

“How ‘bout next year? We can make all the pumpkins we like and win the competition together.” Harley murmured into Peter’s mess of curls on his head.

“Together.” Peter repeated with a smile and snuggled further into Harley’s chest while the two rocked back and forth, soon falling into a fitful slumber.
