#haikyuu pokemon crossover

Might be an unpopular opinion, but I need more crossover fanfictions in my life man there like. My favorite kinda of fic.

I like seeing characters getting thrust into wildly different situations and conflicts than what they’re used to. I like seeing characters react and compare differences between the world they’re from and the world they’re in. I like seeing characters with similar struggles getting to interact when they wouldn’t otherwise because they’re from two different worlds. I like seeing characters from different media clash with each other because they have differing perspectives on something, or seeing characters from different media learn from each other by interacting. I just feel like we need more of those, for funsies y’know?

For example, what if Edward Elric ended up in Dungeon Meshi. How would he react upon witnessing or discovering Falin’s resurrection and finding out that it worked. Other than absolute anger (which is a given with Ed’s temper), would he be jealous, just a bit, because Marceille succeeded in bringing back the one she loved? Why did she succeed while he and his brother failed and said failure has horrifically impacted their lives? How would learning about a SUCCESSFUL resurrection impact the actions he takes in the future? Would he relate to Laios, as both of them are dedicated older siblings who feel responsible for their younger siblings? Especially considering both of them feel directly responsible for their siblings becoming horrifically altered due to their actions. How does he interact with Senshi? Do they bond over similar views on seeing humans as small, but vital parts of the world’s ecosystem? I bet Senshi would love Ed’s appetite, what with him having a bottomless pit of a stomach (due to human transmutation shenanigans).

I dunno, I feel like there’s a lot of untapped potential in crossovers, both in terms of angst and in terms of just, general chaos and comedy. Like, imagine Sailor Moon in one of the Souls games like Elden Ring. Or putting Kirby in Disco Elysium? Can you imagine the insanity?! Cuz I can, it’s hilarious.

Lance Week '22 Ultra-Delayed Crosspost, Day ??? So last year, Day 6 was Crossover Day, a theme for which I had many ideas, given smashing different yet similar things together is one of my favourite pastimes! I thankfully also had some legacy art in the can, as in the end, I only finished this about 10 months after the original posting date xD I love the Haikyuu manga, and I love the Fukurodani vs Mujinazaka match's brief but piercing look at Mujinazaka's captain, Wakatsu Kiryu. The ace player and national top-ranked power hitter of the aggresive blue-and-orange themed team, who struggles with his relationship to strength and leadership and tries to shoulder his entire team's burdens himself... now doesn't that sound familiar

Well, given how the anime is now being wrapped up in two movies, Lance and Kiryu can most probably vibe together in the 'eternally benched' zone for characters who deserve better... but they can also hang out here and put the fear into their opposition with some serious hyper beams!

god that is a hard question to answer, i love all of my fics a lot bfdgfjhdbghjd i think... the first fic to come to mind was, naturally, my beloved your love is tried and true-blue. normscary <333 AND my glennry soulmate fic as well, so where do we begin? hmmm... the johnny spells thing comes from a very personal space, and its a fic that i thought about for literal years, so its very near and dear to me in that sense as well. and on our dates, it's never daytime is a super self-indulgent fic that i reread a lot because its so perfectly targeted at myself lol same thing for fall (back) in and i love mine, mine, mine for more recent examples. uh. okay thats a lot of rambling LOL those i guess :3

I once was very interested in the idea of Haikyuu x Pokemon crossover, so interested that I even did some panel sketches. I never actually finished all of Karasuno as trainers. I had chosen everyone’s pokemon except for Daichi.

The idea is the first years are new trainers and the Karasuno Gym is the first one on the map. Kageyama and Hinata have a childhood rivalry but moved to different towns so they didn’t expect to run into each other. Hinata is actually excited because he does think of Kageyama as a good rival.

Then Yamaguchi and Tsukki travel together and are just like ...shut up and get out of the way already..

Obviously Dachi is the gym leader, he just doesn’t have pokemon. Asahi wants to be a pokemon breeder or someone who works in a daycare but he’s a resident of the gym so he can hone his skills and learn in an environment he’s comfortable in. I think Sugawara is actually a bit of and ace trainer but i’m not quite sure what the plan was.

I actually think the panels turned out pretty good for rough sketches. During this series I was having trouble with them being stiff and staticy so back then I wasn’t that proud of it.

i currently only have 10 :') i deleted/orphaned a lot of my old stuff from previous fandoms (even purged my ff net, which i still regret bc i didn't have any backups)

3. What fandoms do you write for?

currently mainly writing for obey me, but i have written for genshin, haikyuu, pokemon, ensemble stars, my hero academia, final fantasy, harvest moon (story of seasons), and the inazuma eleven series

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

name - genshin impact, xiao/aether like a bird perched on your shoulder - haikyuu, atsumu/hinata burnt toast, sunday - obey me, mephisto/mc more than they can say - obey me, mephisto/mc out of focus, eye to eye - obey me, beel/mc

as much as i can! i foget to sometimes though lol

i don't think i write particularly angst-y fics, but the one that would fit the bill the most would be more than they can say

most of my fics have happy-ish endings, i tend to write fluff more often than not >< i'll just say before the constellations of autumn arrive since it's more or less a reunion fic

not really, thankfully! i do get the occassional "i'll kill u /pos" comments, which i enjoy :>

i used to, but don't anymore :') i kinda suck at it so it's a good thing i stopped lol

depends, i guess? it can be done well, imo. i've read some fics where the author inserts their own native language in their writing.

Inktober Day 6: Drooling.

Yup, watching Pokémon speedruns 24/7 definitely seems to be influencing what I draw. Or maybe it’s that I’ve been playing Pokémon Quest a lot lately? Either way, when I saw the prompt for today, Gloom came to mind. I thought about Tendou having a Gloom for a bit, but Ushijima seems more of a Grass-type Pokémon trainer to me.

On another note, I really need more markers. As you might have noticed by now, I only have like 5 colours of like, the good markers. (I have a set of el cheapo kiddy pens as well, but they’re not as nice for blocking in large areas of colour.) And a couple of them (like the light grey one, RIP) seem to be running out of ink. Hopefully the stores will be open tomorrow so I can buy some new ones!
