Thank You so much for everyone who nominated a bot for the tournament! In total I received an incredible 635 submissions which I'll be sorting through over the next couple of days.

Although the full line-up (which is planned to be 64 brackets) is yet to be determined, I can confirm the top 10 most requested robots (who therefore have a guaranteed place in the tournament) are as follows:

Over the next three days I'll be posting a series of qualifying polls to help narrow down the remaining 54 contestants.

Some of these will be themed (e.g. there are fandom-specific polls currently planned for Transformers, Five Nights at Freddy's, Fallout, Star Wars, Sonic the Hedgehog and Animal Crossing)

Other qualifying polls may consist of miscellaneous submissions that all received a similar number of votes but can't all be included. They may or may not be themed in an arbitrary way (e.g. fembots or cartoon robots)

Additionally, given that some robots on the list have multiple versions or designs (e.g. Mettaton, Zane and SHELLDON), I'll be doing some polls to determine which one to include in the competition graphics.
