Attack on Titan - Season 4 Part 1 (eps 1-16) A commentary turned into a TED talk (but what else is new)

(full manga spoilers. ending spoilers. all the spoilers.)

-ah. the mappa era.

-the "good eldians" line of the marley eldians never fails to give me goosebumps

-well hello there reiner, as dashing as ever

-i love how aot can make me so emotionally confused

-"i suppose there aren't any titans with wings" HAHAHA about that...

-zeke pretty much says, "it's not the paradis' titans we should be afraid of, IT'S LEVI!"

-oh hello eren's back watching reiner and the kids. that's where he infiltrated, fort slava, while the corps is back at marley and jean's buying newspapers, cool

-hello hobo eren, i didn't like you looking like that in the manga and the anime changes nothing. shave.

-how unfortunate for eren that he met falco first. it's hard not to sympathize with falco, you know?

-hobo eren: "i just don't want to go home. i don't think i can face my family anymore." i mean, he ain't lying

-listening eren and basically-tanjiro converse confuses me on a meta level, heh

-i mean, eren's not LYING to tanj-er, falco, he IS sending the letter to his family and he DOES tell them that he's there (and some other things).

-things happen so fast in the anime. in the manga it felt like forever until we got to see eren again

-the declaration of war ep is so good with the music and the VAs that i'm laughing with joy

-DUDE THE REINER AND EREN CONVERSATION, THE VAS ARE SUPERB.

-THE SLOW-MO TRANSFORMATION OF EREN, DUDE I LOVE THE DECLARATION OF WAR EP WHAT! mappa, let's talk

-what eren did to liberio was god awful but tybur and magath weren't much better, intentionally letting everyone be turned into martyrs. eren said "i'll kill you all" and magath and tybur went "yes please"

-it's SO cool that they show the titans form, bc it pairs so well with the fact that ymir creates them

-there is no plausible way other than telepathy that mikasa could have possibly heard eren's "ima da, mikasa" but goddamn that moment is amazing. maybe she read his lips.

-HOLD THE PRESSES MY MAN LEVI HAS COME

-armin how so pretty

-GALLIARD THE NUTCRACKER

-that soundtrack tho

-i'm like. i know. i've read the manga. and yet i'm looking at eren and mikasa like "OHMIGOSH THEY'RE SO BIG THEY'RE SO GROWN OMIGOSH LITTLE BABIES"

-the slow pace of armin offering his hand and eren taking it, perfection

-dude the music and the voice acting, THE TENSION, it's so good, mappa let's talk

-armin is so. i just want to pat his lil head

-oh wait so. when eren kissed historia's hand he knew about the rumbling, but not how it would be possible to do it? and it clicked when he heard hange's recount of yelena's spiel, he confirmed his suspicions re: the royal blood?

-i don't know if i'm imagining it, but i think armin and mikasa sound intentionally younger in the three-years-ago stuff to differentiate them from the present day, which is cute because they never actually sounded that young in-universe

-the VA does an excellent job with zeke. the animation is excellent. i just really detest zeke. i don't know why my wrath is so focused on him.

-EREN DON'T YOU TOUCH HANJI DON'T YELL AT THEM DID YOU NOT LEARN ANYTHING FROM THE MANGA

-is it? is it a two-round fight? it sort of is, eren's a two-round fight.

-enjoying that wine fellas are ya

-eren @ the gang: "because you're important to me. more important than anyone. so i want you to live long lives." i cry

-I UNDERSTAND IT'S THE SUNSET AND EVERYONE'S RED BUT MIKASA AND EREN ARE HAVING A LOOK YOU KNOW?! this moment was suss even in the manga

-yeah, this is definitely working well in anime form. i don't know if it's because i already know the story, so i'm not lost between juggling scenes, or because of the faster pace of the anime, but it feels good.

-back up a sec tho 'cause i'm still on this. gang, eren laughed when sasha died, but did you not see his face, the man was having a breakdown (they might actually not have seen his face).

so there's two reasons he might have laughed. a) sasha's last word being the trigger word bc of its absurdity and how sasha-like it is, he broke down. he's just lost one of the people most important to him bc of a plan FOR his friends where he doesn't know IF his friends will survive it in the first place. this confirms death is a possibility.

b) it's something he's seen during the hand kiss, it connected dots, it confirms he's on the right path, and he reacts as such.

i personally do not ascribe to the latter. eren isn't receiving random memories, he's receiving curated memories chosen by paths!eren via grisha's past memories. paths!eren isn't stupid. why would he send himself a memory of a most painful event that could waver his resolve? arguably it's sasha's death that makes it personal, that puts the seed in the gang's mind that they might have to kill eren. but paths!eren cares about sasha as much as every eren; why the heck would he send that memory back? why would he undermine the "do the rumbling, exterminate titans" cause? why not take his "i didn't even know if my precious friends would survive" at face value?

also. eren knows glimpses of the future and through them he decides to make his friends heroes. he's not omniscient until he reaches the paths (and what he can process of being omniscient in the paths is arguable, and it's also arguable if he IS omniscient), and he does show surprise when something that he doesn't expect occurs, like with ymir in the paths. he also showed emotion when sasha died. so why question it? for eren, too, sasha's death is a breaking point, not only because it's his friend that dies because of his actions, but because he didn't know, which means any of his friends might be next, a sacrifice to his greater cause.

-THANKS FOR COMING TO MY TED TALK, NOW BACK TO THE ANIME!

-okay, around ten months ago eren "began to act on his own." whatever that means. i'm trying to figure out how long he was missing for - the general consensus seems to be he was in marley for 1-2 months, so a few months at most.

-you know what i love? you could ask a number of people their favorite aot character, and they'll all have different answers, and to every answer you can say 'oh yes, ofc it's eren/levi/mikasa/armin/hange/etc, why wouldn't they be, they're awesome' BC EVERYONE IS SO WELL-CRAFTED FFS

-funny how they think eren is being manipulated by zeke when it's zeke being manipulated by eren.

-oh man the niccolo-gabi confrontation is so good

-so killing zackley was part of zeke and yelena's plan

-the gabi-eren parallels get more interesting the more you get into them. they start similarly, with the same rage and tenacity, but eren is the result of the escalating violence, cruelty and injustice, whereas gabi is the product of a concentrated effort to bring the kids out of the forest so to speak.

-I AM NOT READY FOR THE EREN-MIKASA-ARMIN RESTAURANT SCENE! i'll never be ready for that scene.

-they're really taking their time with the pauses and silences, good good good

-in retrospect everything is so on point. like armin asking eren, "what did you really come here to say?" bc this conversation wasn't about eren hating mikasa and armin at all and armin got that.

-i can't stress this enough- ZEKE'S STORY IS SO GOOD! i just detest him.

-i was screaming so hard when eren agreed to the euthanasia plan in the manga. i had such a breakdown. but in hindsight, at least in the anime, he doesn't say "yes i agree with the euthanasia plan." every single thing he says is true to what he actually does, except that zeke thinks he agrees with him bc of the context.

-isn't it funny how it's jean of all people being like "but if eren isn't crazy, he must have a good reason to hurt armin and mikasa"

-whose are these high-pitched screams when yelena kills griez, there are only the boys in there and mikasa, and mikasa ain't gonna be screaming!

-to this day armin's reaction to yelena's plan creeps me out. "i'm moved." the general consensus seems to be he was crying out of relief that eren didn't betray them bc he was certain that eren wouldn't agree to euthanasia and it confirms to him that he does know eren after all, then played it up to make yelena trust them. i'll take it. he's a good lil snake, armin is <3

-ah a pity, the panel of galliard about to eat eren is more majestic. but i don't care, this has been an excellent season. and yeah, that's another thing eren didn't know, and he didn't know pieck would pull all of this - he isn't omniscient.

-DON'T DO THAT, I'M WEAK FOR LOOSE HAIR EREN HE LOOKS SO VULNERABLE argh i hate aot, i love it so unbelievably much

Okay part 2/3 of my love/praise of/for YES!

The Golden Age of Monsters: I love monsters and paranormal jazz so of course. I also loved how there were tiny connections between the monsters you used like rusalka (like what Sasha was called in OFME) and the finfolk of course from “Captain McIver’s Ship of Souls”. You were at your very best banter wise for this story. It was incredible and gave me so much joy. They really could never resist a jab at each other and were always bickering and I was living for it. The angst too in this one ugh my heart really hurt. It went through it (in all the best ways) hahaha. Also Margo being scattered brain, me too girl, loved it.

-Some moments I loved:

Margo staking her ex’s Venmo feed it so funny but also relatable I have done this once (not an ex I was just in a stage of absolute boredom and had nothing better to do so I just scrolled down venmo like it was twitter or something hahaha). Alec is such a grouchy men but I love grouchy men so love it. I absolutely loved how Alec knew Margo could be so powerful and wanted her to become that for herself that’s just so important. Her making him beg lol YES GIRL. SHE KNOWS HIS THREE PRIMARY FORMS OF AMUSEMENT FOR HIS MOUTH AND HAS A FAVORITE AHHH. Their little cute domestic routine they had going on for a bit was so cute. Her glaring and getting back her favorite form of amusement on him (aka my favorite thing ahhh). HER SEEING ALEC EVERYWHERE IN THE MANSIONS SHE IS RESEARCHING AWWW. Dan showing up and Alec being jealous and interrupting their meal and telling him Margo is not the same Margo he knew and wanting him gone ugh such good scenes (I love jealously scenes so much-that’s probably a problem but oh well). Dragon!Alec saving her ahhh. Alec is also hot af. AND HIM KNOWING MARGOT WOULD HURT HERMES FIRST AND THEN HE WOULD HAVE TO DEAL WITH HIM SECOND LOVE THAT LIKE EQUALS AHHH. Forehead kiss awww. The bottle opener as a tool for dulling out their miserable lives lol. Him hoping the rock hits Poseidon that he threw into the waves LOL Hermes is so funny. Her remembering all the requests he had that he wanted her to ask (from the first time they almost had sex to now) AHHH. THE LOVE CONFESSION IN THIS ONE (i have it in the quotes later but like you write the best ones oh my god). Take me. Have me. I’m yours. THEY STILL ARGUE ALL THE TIME BUT COME BACK AND SAY I LOVE YOU AND KISS. She feels like she belongs there 🥺🥺🥺. THE ANGST OF HER LEAVING AND WANTING TO STAY OR FOR HIM TO CAN’T BUT HE CAN’T AND SHE HAS TO LEAVE UGH SO GOOD. Her splashing him with water and telling him to “Say goodbye, asshole” and him lowering his sunglasses to look at her and mouthing back “impossible witch.” I DIED I LOVE THEM. She keeps looking for the Draco constellation awww. “Hey, asshole,” she said. “It’s about time you showed up.” a mood I love how the banter never stopped for one second truly. STOP THEM LOATHING AND LOVING EACH OTHER ALL AT ONCE. Her own personal golden age 🥺🥺🥺 (and how golden age is in the story title ugh love it)!

Also Henry and Hermes being a thing was so fun, from the moment they talked in like the grocery store I was like oh? Is something cooking here?

-Some quotes I enjoyed/reactions to them:

“Well, it’s either make jokes or worry about dying” LOL gotta love it me too girl making jokes that are bad is my coping mechanism

“He was by far the worst thing on the island” AHHH I LOVE IT

“Is it ever going to cool down?” Margo lamented, fanning herself and Alec gave her one of his warning glares, this one was warning her to silence, but it wasn't too severe, so she pressed on.” LOL LOVE IT

“…and I think I realized that I didn’t love him so much as just wanted to be loved by someone. Anyone." mood. Me too girl me too.

“You’re magic Margo West” 🥺🥺🥺

“I don't understand how this happened. He was so awful. I've never met anyone more irritating or more relentlessly, oppressively off-putting than Alec Del Mar. He constantly gets under my skin. He's vain, blunt, arrogant, manipulative, infuriating, selfish, maddening, clever, funny, and strangely kind..He's not what I would have chosen for myself, but that's the worst part, isn't it? He's nothing I ever knew I wanted, and somehow, he's everything I can't live without.” SCREAMING OH MY GOD

“Besides I think the term ‘monster’ might be relative. Aren’t we all a little monstrous in our own ways?” we are!!!

“I just meant that not all mysteries are a bad thing. It’s not so bad to face the unknown. Kind of beautiful, actually.” She took a deep breath, letting the salty sea air lick her cheeks. “I think I love the way the water stretches on forever. But, at the same time, I like the horizon, too. I like how it’s steadying, in a way. It’s like I can finally imagine a happy ending, because I know the water shines brightest right where it hits the sky.” THIS QUOTE IS MY FAVORITE I LOVE IT SO SO SO MUCH

“I don't want to take caution," she told him, already a little breathless at the thought. "I want to get dragged under the current, I want to be pulled down to the depths." She watched his breath halt, motion rescinded. "I want to get swept away, Alec," she told him softly, and he bent his head with a shiver, taking her chin gently and holding her still. "Margo," he said. "We've talked about these self-destructive impulses." She tugged him down to her, laughing into his mouth. "Believe me, I know," she murmured, and he kissed her anyway, molding himself to the shape of her as the ocean slid up to wash over their toes, the waves themselves sighing with satisfaction.” AWWW

“Then, gradually, he’d moved closer, fitting himself at her feet or, on one occasion, nudging her over in a state of drowsy half-sleep to serve as her very amenable pillow. The day before, she’d woken up to him sitting on the floor, and when she’d slid her leg out towards him-giving his shoulder a nudge to indicate her state of consciousness-he’d reached around and curled his fingers delicately across her calf, pressing a kiss lightly to her ankle.” DOMESTIC MARGOALEC AWWW

I no longer worry about being something so paltry as normal.” She doesn't have to worry about being normal!!! Ugh love

“And with that, Margo West crashed into Alec Del Mar with the inevitability of the tide, breathing in the sea-salt taste of summer from his skin as she finally touched her fingers to him, to her own personal golden age, and to the undisputed glory of the horizon.” Happiness awww

Pars Fortuna: LilySam my second favorite binary stars (you probably were waiting for me to read this to tell you I screamed at the quote right?). They are just so cute! Me 🤝 Sam 🤝 having bad luck (literally though reading this I was like well maybe I too was just born under unlucky stars haha). They just had such good tension from the moment they met I was like okay KISS please (you should see how many times I have “their tension 🥵” in my notes lo)l. The banter was also excellent. This story was so funny but also emotional, it was the one story I cried at. The angst was so good too where she was trying to decide between her love for Sam and wanting success that she thought she needed her luck for ugh I loved it.

-Some moments I loved:

Their meet cute was so funny hahah. She likes Sam with his shirt off LOL my girl. She’s so clumsy around him he’s constantly having to catch her and I lowkey love it??? OOOH BOLD OF HER I LOVE IT to say “you can buy next time” (and his voice getting softer when he is teasing her). How he touches her waist while she is trying to get a different card AHHH SUCH GOOD CHEMISTRY/TENSION. Picking on her and the glare and the glare making him laugh ugh MY FAVORITE THING. Oh no he’s gotten stuck in a lot of elevators (I have been stuck in one with like 19 other people on a 90 degree day where there was no AC it was not a fun experience haha). Sam is also so hot, you just write hot people tbh. THE JOLT WHEN THEY TOUCHED AHHH. THE LIGHTS BUZZING AND FLICKERING WHEN THEY KISS AHHH. THE GHOST KISS ON HER NECK STOP I LOVE THOSE (as she fumbling with her key to unlock her door). Him reminding her to not text him back until the morning since she’s a busy woman and so he wouldn’t get the wrong impression that she might like him lol LOVE. HER LIPS STILL BUZZING WITH THE TASTE OF HIM! HER SMILING AND HER HEART FLUTTERING WHEN SHE GOT THE TEXT saying “that was fun” from him. Awww she wants to gossip to her grandmother about it and the whole scene where she admits she told her grandma about him was amazing. THE KISS ON THE KITCHEN COUNTER. I love how he tries to protect her from his bad luck it’s adorable. Him offering to fix it/find her another pair/cook her dinner because she looked sad about her canvassing shoes. HER THINKING ABOUT THEM COOKING TOGETHER AND BEING ALL DOMESTIC AND DANCING ON THE KITCHEN FLOOR AWWW. Her finally getting to wipe away the grease smear after she wanted to before ughhh loved the call back to that. STOP THE I WANTED TO BE A LIFEGUARD BUT I DROWNED LINE MADE ME LAUGH SO HARD. STOP ALL THE THINGS SHE MISSES ABOUT HIM AND HOW SHE THOUGHT SHE COULD BE NORMAL WITH HIM I’M CRYING IT HURT. His whole speech about missing her and what he wants ugh loved! HIM BEING SO NERVOUS AND HIS ARMS TIGHT AROUND HER BECAUSE HE DOESN’T WANT HER TO LEAVE HIM AND HER GIVING HIM A REASSURING KISS AHHH. Her getting to talk to her mom via the ouija board is what made me cry. Just seeing how happy her mom was for her and her mom telling her that she was her lucky star and that whatever she chose is the right voice. It was just adorable and so meaningful and beautiful tearing up just thinking about it again. AHHH SAM WENT TO A WALLACE HART RALLY TO DEFEND LILY. Stop the little montage into the future of him meeting her grandmother and mother and their wedding where the lights go out was so cute! The last thing with the “oh you don’t really believe in luck, do you?” that Lily said made me laugh hahahha. He registered to vote wooo important and she won yay!!!

God, and didn't that sound blissfully normal. Normal, and really kind of sweet. She had a brief image of them cooking together while Norah Jones played from her tinny iPhone speakers. She'd wear shoes she didn’t care about and a dress that didn’t matter if it got stained and maybe he’d dance with her on the kitchen floor and she’d tell Zaniah, See? It’s not about luck.” SO CUTE

“I worked too hard to put all my faith in luck,” she told him, and then corrected herself. “I work too hard to let the universe take credit for everything I’ve done.” YES GIRL

“All she wanted to do was fall back into bed with him; to lean into the palm of his hand and say hold me, Sam, until I forget; until today becomes tomorrow without me lifting a finger; until I no longer have to live in this place of uncertainty, because the stars already made up their minds for me. Unfortunately, that probably wasn’t the case.” 🥺🥺🥺

Also I am extremely excited to welcome my fellow Aries-OFME (olivie’s version)-to the family! I think she fits into the Aries energy well. Feeling very thankful it’s in April too because that’s the one month every year where I pretend I have money and buy myself gifts without guilt, so much love. (AND THAT FAIRYLOOT EDITION IS STUNNING OH MY GOD).

Will be back hopefully soon for some praise for Optimist! I’ve been really enjoying it so far (even though you have already given me an existential crisis) I’ve just been reading it slow because life is just extremely busy this year (not in a super bad way just as life gets sometimes). Also just thank you for dealing with me this year on all the platforms.

my live messy thoughts on season 4 part 3: first half

before i try to make my thoughts congruent and readable, i wanted to note down my raw thoughts (i only removed 1-2 lines of future chapters' spoilers). because honestly, i only remember reading chapter 132. either i only skimmed the other chapters or skipped them.

Do you guys speak any other languages?

Thanks for being patient, guys! Sasha really hates going to the doctor so that was the most worrying part. We finally got her to go and it's just the flu! She's taking some antibiotics now and should be better soon. 💙

Other than English, I speak Thai pretty well! There's a Thai temple near my parents' house that has classes I've been taking. And I have some friends I've been practicing with! I wasn't interested in Thai as a kid and my parents never pushed me to learn it, which I'm kicking myself for now because I would be soo much better at it. But I'm still pretty good at making conversation!

I thought it would be fun to share a few Thai phrases with you in case you were interested!

First, one of the most important things you could say imho (and basically the only Thai Sasha knows), how to say I love you! If you're a man, you'd say ผมรักคุณ (Phom rak khun), and if you're a woman you'd say ฉันรักคุณ (Chan rak khun). It's basically the same format as the English version where Phom/Chan means I, rak means love, and khun means you! Thai really isn't great with other pronouns yet but if you use anything other than he/him or she/her you should use the chan version because that's kind of the gender neutral term and then phom is just for guys?? It's weird.

And then a little texting lingo in case you're actually talking to someone! If you want to say lol or hahaha, you'd write 555 instead as the texting laugh! And the more 5s you type means the funnier you think it is! And then if you think something is really cute like a cute cat or frog meme you'd say ai tao! And you can use extra os afterwards if you think it's suuper cute!

Sasha is working on learning Spanish! She's using Duolingo right now. She took some classes in high school for it but they weren't very good and she didn't know what she wanted to do with her life then so she didn't think it was as important to learn another language. But now she's trying to start focusing her energy on helping kids who might not speak English as well which is super sweet!

Marcy can say hi in a whole bunch of languages but not much else. I think she just has so many different things that she wants to do that she doesn't have time for everything. She knows a few Japanese and Korean phrases from anime and webcomics and she'll like call stuff kawaii all the time but that's kind of it. Not that there's anything wrong with that!

I hope you guys don't mind that I had such a long response! I think Thai is so cool and I love sharing it with people because it's not as common as other languages here in the US!

A lil adult sasharcy drabble but also a beginning for a fun dumb lil AU with @popcornbee HAHAHA

it was a calm car ride, full with fun and interesting conversation's, after years of keeping in touch but not seeing each other much irl, it was great to talk again and learn more about each other face to face.

well, sorta face to face, sasha was driving and keeping her eye's on the road.

but even when she had to focus on the road and It'd get a bit quiet, it was still comfortable, like it was a soft breathable breeze in the air, it didn't feel awkward per-say.

It was just a comfy vibe, being in each-others aura once again.

and seeing sasha again filled marcy with bliss, she's grown so much, still has that scar, that lovable personality and look's, it was like she hasn't changed but also she has grown since marcy said goodbye to her when she moved.

but she also wanted to ask another question, with all the comfortable silence she wanted to ask one thing on the car ride to see anne.

"hey sash."

"hm?"

"you know, I've wondered, you still got those gains from amphibia? HAHAH"

sasha was surprised but also laughed with her, a question so unexpected but also valid since her arm's we're covered with her jacket and maybe marcy could assume she gave up on her buff route's?

"PFT, why you even ask that out of all thing's marce?"

sasha looked at marcy with a confused but dumb smile, interested in why she asked this specific question, marcy doing a small little smile back.

"well you know, i always found it sorta inspiring! even with all the training i did in newtopia, fighting all these monster's and some lil acrobatic training, here and there, i didn't get any gain's, still got those weak arm's! while you over here literally kicking a rock to pieces from what i heard from anne."

marcy raised her hand's up to her chest and clenched them with passion, flapping them a bit with excitement after mentioning sasha's rock kick, sasha seeing this, look's back at the road so she doesn't crash with marcy's adorable little stim, sasha blushing a bit and putting her hand on her own mouth softly with gay emotion.

sasha did a small snort and continued the conversation. "mar-mar you probably had a different training experience compared to me, what me and grime did was full of SWEAT AND BLOOD, LIFTING ROCK'S, SWORD TRAINING, i could practically feel that my blood vessel's we're gonna pop with each day of training."

"And yes i kicked that rock to pieces, I'm cool like that~"

sasha did a lil confident y'know hand motion, she forgot she even did that, and loved that anne even mentioned that to marcy.

marcy laughed. "well i wish i could've saw it, especially in your peak buff year's, PFT."

sasha paused, and did a lil raspberry with her mouth.

"PEAK BUFF???"

sasha suddenly rolled down the arm piece of her jacket, marcy confused at first but then being surprised, it felt like a bright light hitting her, marcy shielding her eye's with her hand, it was like a chest being opened in one of her video game's, a great treasure to be revealed, hidden by a long music tone to a big reveal, but there was no light, there was no treasure.

This was just in her gay imagination.

sasha showed marcy she still had the arm buff from amphiba, somehow even more beefy then before, marcy was dumbfounded, surprised, even resting her hand on it softly and feeling it softy, catching sasha off guard.

"YOU KEPT THEM?? :O"

sasha was in absolute gay panic mode, just expecting marcy to just find it cool and not FUCKING TOUCH HER ARM, sasha could crash the car in this damn moment with how in shock she was, after not seeing her for so long, THIS IS WHEN SHE DOES THIS?

sasha chuckled, trying to not look at marcy cause she know's she's gonna look cute as hell, she cant bare to see the scene that's next to her, she'll die. "Y-YEAH, you think I'd let this part of me fade away?"

"I GUESS NOT WOW."

marcy softly felt all around sasha's arm, literally in pure shock and amazement, sasha still trying to keep her eye's on the road.

"HOW DID YOU KEEP ALL THIS GAIN??"

Sasha snorted. "dude, gym's exist."

marcy a little embarrassed forgetting a gym even existed snorted back. "HAHA, oh right..."

"the gym definitely helped me keep the gain, even increasing it a bit, it aint grime's brutal but helpful training, but it's damn close to it, it get's a bit lonely though.."

marcy stopped feeling sasha's muscle's, looking up at her in interest. "oh really...?"

"well, when you dont got a training buddy and you just do it alone, it aint as fun i guess, usually it was me and grime, breaking rock's with our pure strength, clashing sword's, carrying rock's and grime telling me in his own word's, ahem."

sasha tried her best getting in a grime voice. "DONT LET THOSE LEG'S GIVE OUT, NO ONE IS GONNA CARRY YOU TO SAFETY EXPECT YOURSELF AND YOUR LEGS."

"something like that, that was early in our friendship, i know he'd carry me to safety now."

sasha laughed, looking at the setting sun ahead with a little smile. "he was definitely a good mentor, i wish i could get some company in training again, i tried to get some people to scream at me and give me determination while training like grime did, like some gym coaches, but it was more annoying then anything, not cause they weren't doing well, it was just cause it didn't feel close, they didn't know me like grime did."

sasha sighed. "but yeah, gym's been alright besides that, heh."

marcy looked at sasha with a lil grin, seeing sasha starting to get a bit emotional, missing the company grime gave, and all the fun they had when they trained, marcy rubbed her thumbs together, thinking of a way to cheer her up, but then she got a idea.

"hm...well since I'm in town...you want me to train with you in the gym while I'm here?"

sasha's eye's widened, not expecting marcy to even suggest that to her, as she looked at marcy quickly in shock as she chuckled.

"W-WHAT HAHA, MARCY YOU'RE NOT A GYM PERSON!"

she said surprised, but happy marcy even said that.

"yeah...but idk it seems fun! just us doing gym stuff, and having fun talk's and maybe you can teach me some stuff! giving me all the lesson's grime gave you, oooo, we can be BUFF BESTIE'S!! :DDDD"

marcy laughed at that last comment, smiling at sasha happily and rapidly tapping her hand's on her lap with excitement, putting her hand on sasha's shoulder softly with reassurance.

"This could be a fun lil experience for both of us, and It'd even make grime proud."

sasha started to tear up a bit with that line, looking at marcy with passion and seeing the potential she could have, feeling like she would be amazing to train with, putting her arm around marcy and rubbing her head with affectionate, making marcy giggle.

sasha shaked her with happiness with her arm wrapped around marcy, "AUGHHH MARCY YOU LOVABLE NERD, YOU SURE...?"

marcy chuckled, blushing a bit from the lovable nerd line, "OF COURSE :DDD, maybe I'll be able to kick a rock cause of you."

marcy and sasha both laughed with that comment, sasha leaning on marcy happily, knowing both of them are gonna have a fun couple week's together, having a training/gym partner again and it's someone you KNOW? a dream come true.

marcy was in gay panic mode the whole lean on her, frozen in a gay chamber as sasha leaned off her, keeping her arm around her.

"ALRIGHT ALRIGHT, sounds like a good plan mar-mar!"

sasha suddenly paused, realizing something.

".....do we tell anne this immediately when we get there orrrrrr-

"we'll tell her when we hang-out with her more, maybe she can join us!"

sasha smiled and pumped her fist in the air.

"FUCK YEAH, MORE GYM BUDDIES, WHOOP WHOOP!"

marcy pumped her arm in the air too with her.

"HAHAHA YEAHH-"

suddenly sasha leaned in and kissed marcy's cheek softly, marcy suddenly stoping mid-sentence as she looked as her, sasha looking back and smiling softly at her and looking back at the road, as marcy kept her eye's on her, a soft blush fading in on her cheek's as marcy held them softly in surprise.

"we can tell anne about the gym, but don't tell her about that cheek kiss nerd."

marcy was frozen, not even feeling like this was real, a real kiss from sasha after all these year's of crushing, and trying to repress her feeling's as she thought it would never be possible.

"and...thank you, for being my upcoming gym buddy."

marcy snapped out of it after hearing that, seeing sasha smile and blush looking at the road, happy she even did that cheek kiss, since she's wanted to do it for so long after their relationship became closer since amphibia, even when she moved they kept in touch and developed deeper feeling's for each other over text.

marcy flapped her hand's, looking back at the road and smiling bigger then she ever could.

"n-no problem, sasha."

for the rest of the ride, it was quiet, but comfortable like before, but now with a new feeling, a soft and burning feeling.

love and excitement.

and they couldn't be happier.

Melodies to my soul

Featuring: Erwin Smith x reader! ♡

Synopsis: A cute memory of two lovers.

Warning: It’s cute fluff with adorable cadets around but slight angst at the end lol. Also, I wrote this in less than an hour so expect errors :|

“So what?” The young scout snickered, “It’s not like you can stay unscathed, getting away with whatever you want.”

“I can if I want to, try me.” My feet stepped apart, preparing to get into a fight stance. The boy followed, picking up his arms but I swooped my leg quickly trying to knock him over. He jumped, stumbling when he landed, allowing me to twirl around, grabbing his arms, then his torso and flipping him to the ground. Cheers were heard all around us.

“Maybe third times a charm, no?” I smirked, squatting near him. “Nope, you’d still lose. Point goes to me! Write that down, Levi! You got Jean for cleaning duty today.” I smiled, high fiving any kids around me.

“Serves the brat right,” A smile wanting to appear on the Levi’s face but he caught himself. “Kept bragging about beating all the commanding officers here.”

“No one’s ego can be that high.. right?” We both stared at the boy on the ground, getting yelled at by Connie and Sasha.

“Who won?” Commander Erwin asked, stepping out of the building.

“I did.” I smiled, turning to face the handsome man before me.

Staring at him, he seemed so angelic, so mesmerizing, how did I ever get so lucky?

He pulled me into a side hug, keeping me near him. He’s wasn’t much a fan of PDA but small gestures like these were so special to us.

“Commander! You should fight against her.” Hanji stated, followed by the agreeing cadets. I grinned, looking up at him, “You can try.”

“I don’t think so, I only came out to get air, don’t really have time to-” I flipped his arm, followed by his body as I pinned his chest to the ground.

“Come on, I’m not that weak.” I whispered, as he stood back up dusting his white shirt.

“Fine, fine.” He said boldly, followed by cadets cheering.

“IM BETTING ON CAPTAIN Y/N!” I heard one of the cadets, Connie, yell at his peers.

“ARE YOU KIDDING? ERWIN IS A GIANT, I WILL GIVE YOU MY LUNCH IF SHE WINS.”

“DID YOU SAY LUNCH? OKAY IM BETTING ON Y/N” The ponytailed girl shouted louder than everyone making me chuckle.

Him and I got into our stances,

“I can’t promise anything.” The blonde warned me. I rose my eyebrow, smirking and he followed suit.

“ANDDDDDD FIGHT!” Hanji yelled, Levi shaking his head beside her. Expecting the unexpected, Erwin caught my leg midair and threw me to the ground. As he pinned me, I put my arms around his neck and put all my energy into flipping him, I did. He landed with a thud but jumped right back up, throwing a fist, I missed it by a hair and kicked his chest but yet again he caught it whilst in pain and twisted me.

I used my other foot and kicked him in the jaw, making him let go of and fall. I stood back up and threw a punch, he pushed his upper arm against his chest to avoid getting hit, leading us into a stare down.

“It’s okay to give up, Commander.” I winked as he chuckled before grabbing my punching arm and pulling me to the floor, pinning me down. “Ouch!” Breathing hard, everyone thought it was over until I became still. I just washed my hair the other day and now I’m on the ground, my mouth begins to open. Erwin’s eyes widening realizing what he had done.

I touched my hair on the floor, realizing that it was covered in dirt. “YOU.. GOT.. MY.. HAIR.. DIRTY!!!!!.” I grabbed his bicep, and flipped him, pinning him down. Repeatedly punching his chest before he finally grabbed my wrists. Breathing in loads and loads of air as he laughed.

“WE GOT A WINNER!!!” Hanji shouted, with everyone roaring with cheers.

“GUESS WHOS STARVING FOR LUNCH? JEAN IS!!! HAHAHA” The girl evilly laughed, “SUCK IT.” Sasha shouted as the boy carried a disgruntled, shocked face. Poor boy, he now has no lunch and extra cleaning duty.

“You did good out there.” I mumbled, him smiling.

“So did you, Y/n.” How beautiful my name sounded coming from a god like him, “but let go of the kicking.” His left hand touched above his ribcage, wincing.

Giggling, I leaned forward, kissing him.

“I love you, Erwin.”

“I love you more.”

I looked to my left and then my right and realized everyone was still standing around us.

“Are you cadets expecting a different kind of show? Perhaps a celebratory one?” I wiggled my eyebrows before leaning forward again attempting to make out with their commander.

Bunches of groans and barfing noises came, mainly from Connie, and soon there was no one left besides my lover and I.

I felt Erwin’s blush under me, detaching me from his lips, laughing.

What a beautiful memory to have whilst the world fell more and more apart. Like a beautiful dream to have in your sleep while your parents fight in another room. Humbling to remember how soft I one was.

I softly smiled as a tear ran down my eye. “I cannot bear this world a moment longer. I’m afraid, without him I’m useless.” I whisper.

My moment was ruined as I felt a shift next to me. Someone trying to grab my attention but I didn’t mind any of it to them. Sasha just died, no one cares for anything in this moment. My memories with Erwin are all I have right now, and this devil was trying to take away his moment from me, again?

I look at him for a split second, being met with a smirk. Even though the air inside the blimp was below freezing, I became hot. Heated, staring at his face.

“You feeling okay, Y/n?” The man says but I don’t reply. He scoffs, blowing air to push away the hair on his face, having no other choice since he was limbless.

He then mumbles, “Someone must be on her period.”

I stood up immediately, knowing Levi wouldn’t have it. Loud steps came forward, followed by the sound of a blade being drawn.

“Tch, you son of a-” Pressing my hand against Levi’s chest , I look up at him, and shake my head. His face sympathizes with mine and he returns back to his standing position, angrily, as I kneel before Zeke.

Putting on a smile, I look directly into his fog covered eyes, “I’m fine. I’m completely fine, Yeager.” He smirks again.

Moments pass as we stare at eachother.

His face reminding me of the moment my lover died. As I watched, from Hanji’s arms, Armin getting the serum and eating Bertholdt, fully becoming a titan. Hanji tightly holding me from collapsing, holding me so I wouldn’t do anything to harm myself.

Zeke’s face reminding me of when Levi and I buried the love of my life, allowing his body to finally rest.

I will never meet peace until this man is gone.

Calming myself down, I let go of that fake smile from my face before glaring.

“I just can’t wait to kill you.” I shove his head back, allowing it to bang against the wall. Walking to stand next to my Levi, I could feel a smirk from Eren.

Zeke’s mouth gapes open as his brother chuckles lowly, he looks back up at us before huffing. I hope he keeps staring at us, to fully memorize our faces for his nightmares to come.

“How you feeling?” Levi whispers as I lean on his shoulder. I just shake my head, trying to suppress my tears.

“I just really miss my sweet boy.”

History 101

Some highlights of the last EDA I’ve read (The Crooked World).

I took these screens while reading, along with my reactions. As usual, this is full of spoilers.

I really like the ideas in this book, and any kind of summary I could make of it would sound incredibly creative and exciting. Except it took me eight months to read it. I’m still not entirely sure why. The regulars were either a bit muted (Eight) or pretty good (Fitz and Anji), but the plot dragged a bit in the middle, and the ending is kind of underwhelming, even if it’s okay.

Maybe the book is too dry for my taste? 6/10
