Calm Within the Chaos (RoP! Celebrimbor x F! Wife)

Celebrimbor sat at his desk, poring over dispatches from other Elven lords. The papers were filled with updates on the affairs of Middle-earth, but his mind wandered far from the matters at hand. He sensed a heaviness in the atmosphere of their home, one that had settled over the past few weeks. His wife, once vibrant and filled with laughter, had grown quieter, her spirit dimmed by an unseen weight.

As he turned his focus back to his work, he cast a glance toward her. She was curled up in a corner of the room, lost in her thoughts, her gaze distant. The gentle flicker of the lanterns illuminated her features, but Celebrimbor could see the shadows lurking in her eyes.

“Beloved,” he called softly, setting his quill aside. “Would you join me for a moment?”

She looked up, her expression a mix of surprise and reluctance. “I— I’m fine,” she replied, though the tremor in her voice betrayed her.

“Please,” he urged gently. “Come. Sit.” he said patting his lap.

She quietly approached and settled into his lap, wrapping her arms around his neck. The warmth of his presence brought a small comfort, but she was still tense. He set the dispatches aside, turning his full attention to her. “You don’t have to carry this alone,” he said softly, brushing a strand of hair from her face. “Talk to me.”

She hesitated, her eyes flickering to the floor. “It’s just everything… I feel overwhelmed. The endless flow of meetings, the tasks, people always requiring more of my time… I can’t seem to find peace.”

Celebrimbor nodded, his heart aching for her. “Oh, my darling! Being the Lady of Eregion is a demanding position, and you take on more than your fair share of duties while I work in the forge. You deserve rest."

He pulled her closer, wrapping his arms around her tightly. “Let’s find a way to lighten the load. You deserve moments of quiet, of joy—away from all the responsibilities.”

She looked up at him, her expression softening. “I want that, but it feels impossible sometimes. Even now, I can hear the echoes of the forge and the voices of our people.”

“Let us escape the noise together. What if we took a walk down to the river? The beauty of nature often brings peace, and I would love to spend that time with you.”

A small smile began to break through her worries. “That sounds lovely. But what about your work?”

“Let it wait,” he replied firmly, his gaze steady. “You are my priority. The dispatches can wait until tomorrow. Right now, I want to focus on you.”

As they walked hand in hand down the winding path toward the river, the soothing sounds of nature enveloped them. The air was filled with the gentle rustle of leaves and the distant song of birds, a welcome contrast to the tension that had clouded her spirit.

However, their peaceful moment was interrupted when a herald approached, his expression serious as he bowed slightly. “My Lord, My Lady,” he said, breathless from his hurried pace. “I have urgent letters that require your attention.” he said looking at her.

Celebrimbor’s brow furrowed, and he stepped protectively in front of his wife. “Leave them in my study,” he replied firmly. “I will take care of them.”

The herald hesitated, glancing at her. “But, My Lord, these letters are specifically for the Lady of Eregion.”

With a raised eyebrow and a hint of sass, Celebrimbor crossed his arms. “I am the Lord of Eregion, and whoever is demanding her time will have to go through me first to get it.” His tone was light, but the protectiveness in his posture was unmistakable.

The herald looked taken aback but quickly regained his composure. “Yes, My Lord. I will leave them in your study.”

“Thank you,” Celebrimbor said, waving the messenger away. As the herald retreated, he turned back to his wife, a playful smirk dancing on his lips. “See? You are not to be burdened with such trivialities today.”

She chuckled softly, appreciating his fierce loyalty.

As they continued walking, the gentle sound of flowing water grew louder, promising a moment of tranquility that they both desperately needed.

As they reached the riverbank, the gentle flow of water sparkled under the warm sunlight. Celebrimbor scanned the area, searching for the perfect spot. He spotted a patch of soft grass nestled beneath the shade of a willow tree, its branches swaying lightly in the breeze.

“This looks perfect,” he said, guiding her toward it. They settled down, and she immediately lay her head in his lap, feeling the coolness of the grass beneath her and the warm sun above.

Celebrimbor smiled down at her, his fingers instinctively finding their way into her hair. He began to play with it gently, weaving his fingers through the strands, creating soothing patterns. The rhythmic motion felt like a balm against the worries that had plagued her.

She closed her eyes, allowing herself to sink into the moment. The warmth of the sun kissed her skin, and she focused on the sensations—the gentle tug of his fingers in her hair, the soft rustle of the willow branches, and the distant songs of birds flitting about.

In that serene space, the weight of her responsibilities began to fade, replaced by a profound sense of peace. “This is perfect,” she murmured, a small smile gracing her lips.

Celebrimbor looked down at her, his heart swelling with affection. “I could stay here forever,” he replied softly. “Just you and me, away from all the demands of the world.”

Celebrimbor leaned down, his lips brushing softly against her forehead before lingering there for a moment. The warmth of his kiss enveloped her, and she felt a surge of comfort wash over her.

“Whenever you feel overwhelmed,” he whispered, pulling back slightly to look into her eyes, “come to me. No matter what I’m doing, I promise I will stop everything to care for you. You are more important to me than anything else in this world.”

His gaze was earnest, filled with a depth of love that made her heart swell. “You don’t have to carry your burdens alone. I’m here for you, always.”

She smiled, feeling a sense of safety in his words. “Thank you, my love. That means more to me than you know.”

My first playthrough I had 1 intellect and encyclopedia was. SO helpless. I couldn't pass the check to learn about the horse monument despite trying many times and ency got mean abt it >:( don't you punish me for trying. I never succeeded it haha.

Got this next one on my first day as well:

I saw Encyclopedia [Medium: Failure] followed by the options of "what is a book?", "what's a postcard?", and "what's a board... game?" and I was like ohhhh no what did I do. what have I done.

Second playthrough, I was shocked to see Harry *does* know relay code when calling his station! And that it's an Easy ency check... oops. extremely dumb harry will always have a special place in my heart.

The ency fails made me love the poor guy so much I picked him as my signature skill in my second playthrough! where he was much more useful! and never a hindrance, ever.

Smoochies Pt 2: Featuring Liam and more Marked Ones

Liam:

Pour one out for this GEM of a human

His sixth sense is you. You're cold, instant jacket on your shoulders. You sneeze once? He's at your side with a cuppa. If you fall, he will catch you, or destroy whatever you tripped on.

I also imagine he's really good at sensing your emotions. Probably knows when you're sad, angry, mad and reacts accordingly

Ultimate Move: Holding your chin with his thumb and index finger while he kisses you. Sometimes his finger brushes over your lips and its with purpose because if its a long time before he sees you again he'll often rest his face in his palms when he's in class or with the other marked ones so he can take in your scent once more.

SECOND ULTIMATE MOVE (because he deserves two TBH): Kisses your cheeks. Sometimes its with intention like when he says hello or goodbye. Other times you're just standing there and he just does it. Sometimes he'll walk behind you while you're sitting and just lean over and kiss your cheek because he can.

Like, if he saw Liam pull an ultimate move with his partner and saw them blush, Xaden would look at you and internally panic like, "Fuck, should I be doing that to you? I want to make you blush like that."

Also if you're late to any of your meet ups he's instantly stressing and thinks he did something wrong and will go off to find you

He gives me very 'keep you at a distance/aloof' vibes on the outside, but once you're his he's like 'i am but a planet revolving around you, my sun' lol

His sass is top tier. Best quips and one liners. You could just listen to this man give verbal beatdowns to people all day

A smoochie headcanon: forehead kisses, every night before falling asleep. Even if you're both exhausted it will still happen. He's even fallen asleep kissing your forehead.

ALSO...ain't no way this man is straight. He 1000% gives Loki's 'A bit of both, I suspect the same of you.' vibes.

Was thinking of something you said about Luci. Like him crying when he sees you coming you back to the hotel all marked up. Even better idea, him regularly spying on you using the orbs/balls from episode 6. Probably started as a way to learn more about you and make sure you're safe but quickly became something else....

He's peeping on you getting railed by someone twice your size and that person can absolutely scoop you up and throw you around with how big they are and here's Lucifer uncomfortably reminded of how short he is. bonus points if before this you and him had an argument and you shit all over his height just to piss him off and now he's seeing you fuck some huge dude. Give him that emotional damage with the backstab buff

The thing with Lucifer is that, he's short, yeah, but like. He's also ungodly strong. I'm too lazy to link the post but people have pointed out that he literally was not even remotely phased when Adam was throwing him against a building and trying to hurt him, like actual frames of Lucifer just kinda sitting there o.o, totally unbothered. And this could go one of two ways! You could get protected and rescued by him and, he scoops you up into his arms and that makes YOU feel small (in a sexy way)

OR

you kinda like, not infantilize him per se, but you figure, since he's "this little goober" that he would never like, ACTUALLY do anything scary, but. Honey he's a grown man who wants you as a serious partner and he's extremely prideful and attached to you and you're, constantly picking other people over him 💀💀💀 you're irritating him on purpose, you're giving him sass, you're FUCKING OTHER DUDES and I can see him totally snapping, "you think I'm not serious about you?! I'll show you!!" and just, yoinks you up, snatches you away, you're magically appearing either AT THE ALTAR WITH HIM LIKE, WEDDING WITH AN ENTIRE AUDIENCE, or straight into his bed where he proceeds to show you exactly why he deserves to be your king

I also just. Really like the idea that he's basically got full control over Hell and can get in your head and know what you're thinking and feeling if he REALLY wants to. Got another ask in my drafts I'm about to get to that delves more into the idea of him and Lilith HELLA abusing their dream controlling/pocket dimension powers in a definitely not "you didn't know you had a secret second life in your dreams that was 100% real" kinda way...

Yeah, I’m not sure, tbh. I’ll have to check it out someday. I heard that his current en voice is similar to the other dubs, and if that’s the case…. Then my opinions may bleed into the other dubs as well haha. I think Hazm’s dialogue really affected my perception of him. Like…

If he doesn’t sound ready and willing to snap at you if you test his patience, then his portrayal is too nice haha

Unpopular opinion, but I do think that Tighnari's old en voice characterization followed the canon of at least the English translation better. Like he's known for having a temper and even yelling at people. Barring the way he treats Collei, I really don't see him as a "gentle" and "soft" person. While I wouldn't say he's rude, he's straightforward and doesn't hold back on his sarcasm when people are deserving of it.

At the end of the day, Harry and Tink get their big house in the nice school district. A loving family each of them deserve. 3 or 4 kids who become their world. And the best partner in the world. Tink gets into to TikTok and Harry’s sass makes her TikTok famous. Even though Harry secretly loves making TikToks with her he’d never admit it, he just lives the smile on her face from doing something so stupid with him. Both of them still have their moments of openly hating the other, but the love they have for one another is ever present even if it’s not always said. They make their actions count and both of them know, they will grow old and grey with each other. Though Harry says they will grow old together but not gray because “his hair is amazing and he’ll keep dying it if he must” that is until tink mentions she loves silver foxes. After which Harry is game for it all.

I’m going to miss them so much, I actually started tearing up writing this feels like a goodbye to people I feel like I just met❤️.

Okay, I’m back.

I’m always a-okay with whatever fan things anyone wants to create with inspiration from something I made or helped make. As long as it isn’t containing some stamp that says “this I deem canon” when neither me (nor my partner) deemed it canon, no one ever has to worry with me getting upset over some story/comic/art.

I’m going to give some thoughts and I want to disclaimer.

When I discuss my thoughts on your POV of events in the AU, I will never, in any way, intend to diss or attack the story. I think the flow was excellent and Raph’s analysis of the events occurring was intriguing. I loved it! And nothing I say will be a statement otherwise.

But, since I have a distinct inability to keep my mouth shut when it comes to turtles and you asked, I have thoughts 🧐

My brain is now turning and ya’ll have to deal.

Characterization:

Donnie: Much distrust. Much sass. A strong sense of duty to defend his brethren turtles who don’t deserve it but he’s doing it anyway.

Very on point. Much approval 👌

Mikey: Could not be more perfect. I love him. Sweet soul ✨

Leo: He’s a bit less… Forceful. Cold and calculating. Than I envision.

I’d imagine that he had to learn to shut feelings down in order to survive. Fidgeting/smiling/visibly hesitating is out of the question. Staying in Shredder’s graces meant learning to play the game. His silence is what earns Raph the ability to be loud. The only times that he’s himself is when him and Raph are alone, outside of the sight of cameras, or when someone in is danger and fear/fury overwhelms all else. He seems bland to outsiders and it takes the Hamato brothers a while to see that that he’s just a scared little boi at heart that’s just trying his best in a cruel world.

He’s also set in his beliefs, so he’s going to assume that they’re being tormented mentally, if not physically. There’s no place in his mind that wonders if they were actually safer elsewhere.

I do like your POV, though. Plenty for me to play with.

Raph:

He’s ABSOLUTELY the first to question the differences between how Shredder treats them and how Splinter treats their brothers. He doesn’t jump the gun, but as devoted as he is, he’s never really liked Shredder. I love the implications that he’s been filing away concerns subconsciously and his brain keeps poking him like “HELLO?!”

He’s very deep. I can’t decide how I feel about that 🤔

Shredder would have wanted to fan that temper into something unforgiving and vile. Or course, that doesn’t mean he stops being a sensitive soul. It could… Have something to do with Shredder manipulating him into being angry when he wills it (basically all the time) and solemn and still when he doesn’t (such as during lectures, punishments, etc).

His brain registers this situation as one where he’s not meant to be loud and angry, and so he’s kinda… Shut down. Sassy, but mellow. Processing. Adapting. Letting what happens happen because he’s not meant to stop it.

It’s a reason that Leo gets so defensive when punishments come into play. It forces Raph to feel small. It make him vulnerable.

Anyway, commentary:

It’s like Space Heroes. He claims so and YET he read, recalls, AND clearly has DEBATED the passage so I call sus vibes.

I get giddy when I think of Takeō discovering Space Heroes-

“Junkō and Kōta— or Donnie and Mikey, whatever false name they’d been given—”

My brain made connections. I don’t know if it was intended, but I always believe that they knew them by Shredder’s names through the beginning of season one, end of season one/beginning of season two they were associating them as both, and then by the time that the City is under attack, they’ve adapted to using their real names. (But the Saki brothers still keep their Foot names.)

So, now I assume this is somewhere in that middle plot.

Fun little Easter egg~

“Takeō and Akihitō were the offense, and Donnie and Mikey were the defense” “They held their own. In fact, they dominated.”

I’m in love with Raph’s simple acknowledgment of their roles in battle. It’s a very practical outline of exactly how their dynamic on the field plays out and he's so certain of his place.

On the other hand, I’m a bit uncertain about whether they’d dominate. I do believe that they are trained and can hold their own, but I don’t know about them being as impressive as Raph&Leo, simply because Splinter trained them to defend and Shredder trained them to kill. The Hamato brothers haven’t had much time to practice in the offensive, especially since that’s Leo&Raph’s job. (In non-AU canon, they are all offensive/defensive.)

I think Mikey might learn that kinda strength at the farmhouse after being taught by Leo&Raph, and Donnie will step back from that, finally finding his place not as a fighter/leader, but as a scientist.

Definitely an interesting take, tho 🤔

100% behind Raph learning to butt in when Leo tries to take the fall as they get older and punishments get worse.

“Seeing the situation, the evidence glaring at him, Akihitō cannot deny that this wasn’t exactly a great sell. Takeō and him are tied to the ground, trying to convince these two strangers that they would be safe with them. That their clan would not hurt them while that same clan was just about ready to beat them to a pulp.”

I was thinking the same thing 🤣

Leo, dude, seriously. Look around. Think for a second. You are not selling your point. You are doing the opposite.

In the end, it doesn’t even matter. Sensei will always find them no matter where they run. It was better to follow than be chased.

SOMEONE NEEDS TO TEACH THESE KIDS THAT THIS IS A TOXIC RELATIONSHIP. YOU SHOULD NOT FEEL MOTIVATED TO STAY WITH DAD BECAUSE HE WILL FORCED YOU TO REMAIN OTHERWISE. BRUH. RED FLAG.

It makes sense that Shredder would make these. But.

But man. He made those. For them.

Takeō tries to take control of the situation again, the bossy oldest sibling coming out in him.

HA. Got him. Leo is Leo in any universe.

Absolutely how they view things. Mikey doesn’t care what they think or do as long as no one he cares about is paying the price. Donnie feels it is a manner of principle that they accept logic and truth.

Leo talking over both of them is valid. This kid, I swear.

“Then tell your older brother to shut up about—”

LEO IS IT OFFICIAL YOU HAVE BEEN DISOWNED

“Sounds like a you-problem.” Donnie stands. “Mikey, we saved them. It's time to go.”

Donnie would die for them <3

A hand lands on his shoulder, and he recognizes it. Takeō always knows when to give support. He’s a good brother. He hopes Donnie and Mikey will know that one day too.

“You’re sweet Edd’s, you always are to me. Also thank you for that, you are always being so kind to me, honest, real, and what not..Haha well they definitely deserve it. Oh Umm. Because I wanted to spend time with you.”“ Don’t thank me Star, I'd do anything for you and I mean it. Star you didn’t have to go to a party to spend time with me. I would have come over here for a movie night or done something you enjoyed too.” “Well it’s probably good we went anyways. Even if I got hurt. I needed to find out at some point right? Besides parties aren't all bad there is music, it’s dark enough people don’t pay attention to you jamming out, and it’s fun if you got someone there you know. Wait, you would have?”“I guess you are right. Yeah that’s true, well we can jam out here if you want I don’t plan on leaving. Of course I would have.” You thought for a minute and remembered you installed color changing light bulbs and you had a few funky light things. “Okay but i’ll be right back.”“Okay i’ll be here.” You then come back smiling with a small box. “I got the goods!”“Is that so?” You then start taking things out of the box and plugging them in throughout the room. “Yes. FUNKY LIGHTS!” You then dim the lights and switch the lights to where they change colors with the beat of the music. “Wow, fancy setup you got here.”“Thank you.” You then hand your phone to Edds to pick the first song. “Hmmm let see.Let’s go with this one.” He had picked the one he caught you jamming to earlier but stopped when you got caught (Talking In Your Sleep by The Romantics) “You did not just do that.” “Do what?? I just started a song.” You were gonna say more but you'd rather just jam. So you’ll just sass him later. “Fineee. Turn it up then pretty boy.” The next song was your turn to pick and you picked Just Dance by Lady GaGa, Colby O’Donis. You started to forget you weren’t alone and you just started having so much fun. At one point Eddie just stepped back and looked at you as if you were the only thing he ever wanted to look at again. You eventually turn around and notice which made you blush. You’ve never seen that look on his face before. Sure you caught him staring before but you couldn’t really pin why tho. So you went to your phone to pick another song (Song now playing was So Sweet I Could Die by Lucia & The Best Boys) as Eddie seemed to zoned out. But all of the sudden. “Star?” “Eddie?” You turn around smiling thinking he was going to point out it was his turn but instead. “Can I be honest with you?” “Always.”“I know this may not be the best time to say it but I don’t know when it will. Smack me if you must but I'm going to do it anyway.”“Ok Edds and i’ll listen.”“I like you Star yes as a friend but I also like you more than that. I want to be able to call you my girlfriend…My Star. You are my world and you deserve more than the world. You don’t deserve to be treated like trash ever.” Eddie started to walk up to you until he was just close enough where you would have to look up a bit, but he still didn't get in your face. You were looking down tho due to nerves but Eddie wasn’t going to settle for the top of your head this time. So he grabbed your chin and gently guided your face to look back at his. Which is where he saw your red cheeks. Which made him smirk almost instantly. “Star? Are you blushing at what I just told you?” You swat his hand away and look to the side doing everything to avoid eye contact. “No. It’s just the lighting.”“Oh Star, you've never been good at lying just tell me.” You thought for a moment and you thought why hide it anymore your single and have no intentions on getting back together. You had fallen for Eddie pretty much since you met him. So why keep hiding how you truly feel. So you look down but at Eddie's hands and you just go before you back out…

Hi - I’m reading what if we were other people - and I’m absolutely obsessed with it! The characterizations of Damian and Fay are so strong and consistent with a lot of growth as well! I’m only on Chapter 22 (still reading through the Euro-Trip) but I absolutely cannot wait for them to officially get together although I’m thoroughly enjoying the slow burn that is building.

Fay just feels like such a lived in character with a real history and very legitimate and realized flaws and anxieties. I adore the way you also integrate her therapy into the growth and her growing self-awareness around her self-destructive thoughts and tendencies. The portrayal of self-care, mental health and mental health maintenance are so realistic and refreshingly wonderful in this fic! I love all of her small idiosyncrasies that make her so real - the same lunch she has every day, all of the little Knick knacks in her room, all of the random jobs she has (which we now know is an honestly v relatable trauma response).

I also love your version of Damian - he has such a strong internal voice that comes through. There’s still the slight sneakiness and sass that I’ve always loved in his character that has softened into a sort of endearing teasing towards Fay. The way he thinks through how he feels about Fay as he is realizing his feelings towards her are so in character - highly logical but sort of frustrated at his own inability to parse through and control his emotions because they’re so new. I also really love how much he respects Fay and her trauma - his compassion and empathy are not obvious at first but they’re so heavily present in all of his actions.

I also love their relationship!! I love that they are putting themselves and their friendship first because they’re so scared of hurting each other. It makes the slow burn so much more endearing because they love and care about each other too much to make a move. I adore how Damian acknowledges that they are both complete and whole individuals but she is his choice which makes her all the more singular - it’s such a healthy and wonderful way to see love depicted - especially when people can so easily fall into the trap of being co-dependent and “needing” your partner so much that they become a crutch and a barrier to healing yourself. It is so much more romantic to me to have someone choose you and continue choosing you. I also love how much they challenge each other - Fay allows Damian to be vulnerable and Damian calls out her putting herself down - it makes them grow together rather than one of them “healing” the other. Ugh and the innocent touchingggg- I kicked my feet and screamed into the void when Fay began stroking his arm. I can’t wait for this to progress!!!

I also love the family dimensions you depicted as well. Moma and Cora are such wonderful additions that I love reading about that add so much depth to Fay’s character. And the Wayne clan is so interesting to read about! You can see how Bruce loves his children but he isn’t present most of the time and tries his best when he is. I love that you maintained the closeness between Dick and Damian - it’s one of my favorite relationships in DC! (Also love that Kori and Dick are together in this!! My ship heart is singing)! I can’t wait to see more of Jason - I’m so intrigued by his fiancé! And I can’t wait to meet Tim officially in the fic - I wonder if him and Damian wi still have major beef in this iteration haha.

The entire story arc with Archer was also beautifully written. I was so proud to see Fay stop being so passive and take action when she started kicking ass omg. I was so so stressed when she went to confront them - but when it was over, you could feel the catharsis in her that she didn’t have to suffer anymore. I truly hope they stay gone because Fay deserves peace above anything else at this point.

Anyway, this has gotten much longer than anticipated - sorry for that! I just love love love your fic so much and I know it’s on hiatus but I just wanted you to know that I will continue to be an avid reader whenever you update! I look forward to whatever ending you have planned! Honestly at this point - this fic is better written than a lot of published romance works I’ve read haha! - 🌻

I just want to say thank you for taking the time to provide me with such great feedback and all your thoughts on my fics. I really do appreciate it. While I haven't replied yet, I did read this post many times over in the past. Through your and others' comments, I can remember why I enjoyed writing these fics in the first place. I've always wanted to see a particular type of romance - both slow-burn but intense yet avoids tropes like romantic dependency or the characters 'needing' one another, like you mentioned. I love many published novels and fics with these tropes, but I wanted to see something different, so I decided to try my hand at it. I am so glad to see that I succeeded to the best of my ability and that my work excites someone. I am a sucker for characters that have to go through a lengthy process of working on themselves and depicting the struggles that come with it. I am sorry for leaving you hanging on both works. I am currently re-writing What If (just addressing grammar issues!) and hoping to complete it in early 2025. thoughts about the finale from what I can remember right now:

[SPOILERS UNDER THE CUT]

They finally did it. They finally put their foot down about rescuing Crosshair and if there's anything that's gonna tide me over until season 3 it's THAT SINGLE CONVERSATION

We got a quality moment with Tech and Phee, so quality that I think I actually ship them now. (HAHA BUT FRICK ME BECAUSE THAT WAS ACTUALLY FORESHADOWING) I was worried when they didn't show her last episode because I thought they were just going to tease a fun comic relief kind of ship instead of, you know, having the characters be there for each other during important moments. As it should be You can't just put Phee in a side pocket and expect her to disappear when stuff gets serious.

That moment where they all look at Wrecker in sync is something I'll tuck under my pillow and look at when I feel like crying. This show has no right to be this funny before taking a sledgehammer to our hearts.

I was begging any god that would listen that the other infiltrators were clones, like I wanted it to be Cody so badly in that moment. I even think I heard DBB's voice when one of the commandos spoke and my pulse skyrocketed But no it was Gerrera. Which, okay plot reasons, and good plot reasons but still 🥲 Man but they really outdid themselves with the plot, it's actually crazy good. Such a roller coaster.

Kudos for actually letting one of the officers defend the clones. That's good writing. Realistically it makes sense and you don't get the feeling that they're all one dimensional psychos. As a side note I was impressed that one of the baddies (the one responsible for surveillance) had an accent other than posh British. And then I realized it was German 😂 like... c'mon guys

TECH. TECH MY MAN. YOU ABSOLUTE AMAZING INCREDIBLE BREATHTAKING LITTLE DUDE. I'm sorry guys but he stole it. Gave Crosshair a run for his money. I salute our little nerd for being the biggest bamf tcw has ever seen in that moment. The sass, the style, the one linery of it all. Of course he's not dead. You can't kill a character like that, you just physically (and metaphorically) can't.

I literally don't know how they'll recover from a trauma like that. They think he's dead. They watched him plunge to the ground. I am unwell (on their behalf).

So glad that AZI was incorporated back into the plot. The little dude deserves it and we love to see him.

I didn't know they could animate Kaminoans to emote but dang they did a good job with Nala Se.

I'd given up hope of seeing Crosshair's face these episodes but we got him and Omega in one scene together and I guess that goes to the 'help me survive until season 3' pile.

I know we'd already clocked Emerie as a clone and fishy but there's nothing more satisfying than good foreshadowing paying off. This show doesn't give us cheap subversion but actually good plot twists where it's appropriate and they don't make the audience feel like fools by feeding us false clues. Mad respect for that. I don't think we realize how rare that it these days.

BAD BATCH SEASON 2 SPOILERS

can we take a moment to appreciate mayday??? the sass, the comebacks, the wit?! he’s the perfect person to get crosshair to understand his point of view because he shares some of that bitter, dry humor we all love crosshair for. yet he also has realized he’s expendable and is asking some of the same questions that crosshair is. he cares for his brothers and mourns them, which probably reminds crosshair of his own squad. he’s war hardened and commanded men much like crosshair, but it hasn’t destroyed his compassion and independence, a side we haven’t seen much of crosshair. but the more time mayday and crosshair spend together, the more good we can see in crosshair. i like to think mayday’s lack of respect for the lieutenant also inspires crosshair’s contempt for him as well.

but on a much more lighthearted note let’s remember some of the best lines from this episode (starring mayday)

lieutenant: for now, i am in charge here until the cargo is transported

mayday: *with an amused nod to his men* i feel safer already

mayday: you know the lieutenant well?

crosshair: for about 2 hours

They probably wouldn't be able to spend much time together in that situation so making him something when he knows Tang is stressed seems like a realistic thing for Pigsy to do in order to subtly show he's there for support when need be. Tang pays that kindness forward by actually paying his tab for once coughs

(Can't find a way to make it a gif) Tang: so ""relaxed"" in his current situation that he is shaking hard enough to vibrate in place, coupled with the look of completely calm and collected and ""coolness"". (S4)

Does it ever drive you crazy just how fast the night chan- gets shot

ACTUALLY THo S4 fleshed him out as a character so much, especially when we compare him to how he started all the way back in S1. Beforehand in earlier seasons everything was mostly stable for him. Same places, same people, consistent comfort, it gave him some sense of security that could have made his "calm and relaxed" demeanor viable back then. But now that everythings been thrown up and ruined by powers out of Tang's control, his bubble of safety no longer stands. We begin to see it in season 3 with lady bone demon's attacks + macaque's continued interference. Tang seems a lot more on edge near the latter half of season 3 then he had been all of the rest of the show and there's definitely WAY more panic present as one bad thing after another unfolds, notably when he is quite literally moved to tears as he's forced to forge the samadhi fire. It does kind of consistently crop up during other prior conflicts too but much more mildly and on a more temporary scale. Now, seemingly not long after the lbd incident as mk evidently still hasn't pushed past lbd all that well, his entire framework of stability is practically smashed into pieces. He's stuck in a scroll, he loses track of all of his friends for a while, there is no comfortable safe space for him anymore(a book can probably only realistically tell you so much about a setting, probably not enough to evoke the same familiarity that his house or pigsy's shop does), he literally almost gets eaten, there's ANOTHER massively powerful divine being threatening the safety of his loved ones along with his own, and on top of it all he can't get his powers (which are evidently in DIRE need right now) to work half the time. He had built a dependency on the routine of mundane life beforehand and S4 completely shatters that routine and subsequent stability. It's no wonder why we begin to see him crack, it make sense why we're just now seeing the actual depths of his lack of confidence and his anxiety. This has always been a problem more likely than not, he was able to cope before, or at least hide it, but he can't now. His inability to use his powers properly inevitably worsens the problem. He needs to use his powers but he cant. He needs to be useful, he has to be, but he just can't no matter how long or how hard he tries. Every odd is against him, it's getting to him and it shows. I love how lmk doesn't try to hero-speech it's way out of every character's doubts. I love how they let him break down several times throughout season 4, I love how they let him show emotional weakness not as a plot obstacle that can be ✨✨completely overcome with the power of believing in yourself!! And friends!!! And flashy magic!!! Yayyyyy!!!✨✨ but as a fundamental part of Tang that he just has to work around and deal with it. They obviously can't get too in depth into it (and probably never will) because a. This is a kid show made by Lego, and b. Because he's, y'know, not the main character, but the attention they did bring to it is nice.

I have. Accidently written a paragraph. Oops. uhhhh tldr: They did a good job portraying Tang's internal struggles through S4 while not invalidating his character and behavior from previous seasons. When you kick the rug out from someone's feet and then throw them off a 400ft cliff into a pit full of spikes they're going to be at least a little bit terrified out of their mind and are probably going to understandably show weakness somewhere along the way, I'm glad Lego takes a moment to explore that with Tang at least a little bit.

Mentioned this earlier on twt but the death grip he maintains on his staff when he gets really scared is a nice touch. He has a history throughout all 4 seasons of latching onto objects or people when he's distressed, a small but fun character detail!

In line with what I ranted on about for an entire essay earlier- explicit mention of a meltdown! It's quick and short but the fact that they called it a meltdown at all is impressive, this is the first time I can remember a show calling one as such. A meltdown in response to a seeming extended lack of security and a disconnect between Tang and what's going on around him is realistic too, I think at least. The scene right after this when the gang (mostly sandy) does their best to bring Tang back down to earth for a moment was nice, they're such a supportive friend group I love this little found family

CBS Ghosts - Viking Funeral - Fountain vs Roof Fight

Warning, Spoilers may appear.

LMAO. Sam's putting on a show about how great the fountain would be while Trevor's nodding along, but SERIOUSLY SAM - the outside of the house should probably be fixed first.

I do like her little show though because it's a lot like Trevor's showing when he tells a story and I low-key ship them.

Why isn't Jay bringing up the obvious issue - which is that the house doesn't even look good and you're worried about a fountain.

OTOH, I do love that he says "no one loves a fancy fountain more than I do" because I wonder if Jay has a thing for fancy fountains.

I'm really glad that Jay points out the obvious - THE ROOF IS MORE IMPORTANT. How is this even a debate?

LMAO though, at Alberta - who she talking to? I mean, it makes sense that he would point out the Roof's importance. You have to get structural issues done before focusing on aesthetics.

I love that the ghosts are clearly on Jay's side - they're like "Yes, you're right" - this is important later.

The ghosts celebrating her losing the fight and her response being something that Jay could misinterpret.

Look at these responses:

He's Like I HAVE A VOICE DAMNIT - We're meant to be a team. AND THAT'S GOOD, but you did make this choice to live there without her.

I love seeing this moment from Jay's POV. To him, she's yelling at no one.

He's just trying to get used to the reality that there are people in his life that he can't see or hear. That's rough.

Which, fair. She deserves to feel like she can argue with her husband without their commentary.

Trevor vs Sass comes up here:

Trevor says it's a little harsh, while Sass says she's not wrong.

It's interesting that Hetty agrees with Trevor and Alberta is like "humph, me annoying."

Jay tries to ignore them. And focuses on the fight.

But what he says here isn't really fair.

Technically, yes, Sam wanted the move more than Jay did, however, JAY made the decision on his own while she was in a coma. He didn't wait for a discussion so throwing it on her is UNFAIR.

Even though he is saying the truth - what he's giving up will affect them in the next two seasons, BUT it's not fair to put that solely on him.

Thor's right - he's absolutely playing a guilt card and that's as unfair as what Sam does next.

Sam knows what he's doing and decides - "Oh, you throw that on me - fine, I'll lie about our new housemates".

She says that the ghosts (WHO CLEARLY DONT) agree with her to make her point and it's hilarious that she can do this so casually.

I wonder how many other arguments she's won by saying that the ghosts are on her side.

(I can't believe this worked) mainly because it's so much more important to do the roof.

This is all of the ghosts reactions in one gif, but I wanted to break it apart so the individual ones are below.

I love that Flower and Sass are making a similar reaction like "OH yeah - gasps/chuckle". It's so great - we don't see much of them together, but I bet as nature lovers, it makes sense that they would bond over that.

Then there's Alberta and Isaac together. Alberta looking at Isaac, gleefully talking about how Sam's making things up and Isaac looks quite surprised.

LMAO TREVOR - he finds her manipulating Jay by lying as hot - you should probably look into that Bro.

I love that Hetty seems - impressed - that Sam's got that ruthless Woodstone blood.

It's interesting that we don't see Pete - either here or in the cheering scene below - I think this is the moment Pete starts getting an attachment to Jay.

Sam knows that pulling out the ghosts makes it 9 to 1 in her favor, so clearly she wins this. You can tell by them sitting down and the way Jay's like "yeah, I'm a pushover".

DESPITE THE FACT that the ghosts were on JAY's side - they're cheering for Sam. And I think it's because they appreciate that she was underhanded to get her way. Which makes the fight interesting.

SAM - you won! Why are you the one leaving? Would it not make more sense for Jay to storm out? (If I were Jay, I would).

DAMN can you imagine wanting to watch paint dry? Why not go for a walk or ask Sam for TV? Like ... paint?

But the funny part is Pete's Smile - he's like a little excited.

OMG I love the looks on their faces when they realize that their entertainment is over and file in line to leave.

BUT the best part is Sass and Trevor both having that head tilt up like "GOD WHY". It's too funny.

Anyway, this was fun. Jay is clearly outnumbered in that house. He deserves better.

i actually feel so bad for our strong oc. seokjin is weird with emotions and doesn't feel anything, not atleast what oc does with her experiences and stress with the sea. i actually wish to give her the basic medications for her injury to heal, because a lil tmi, my shoulder is very much at this point similar to oc’s conditions and even with proper care, it's hard, so what oc is going through is just my imagination ;_; with all that hurt of losing her everything at once to being alone with a creature who isn't so cooperative is so scary, wth

but at the same time seokjin is...😩. so hot.

like, he's the advanced merman, meaning he can communicate and understand stuff better— and when he bought the captain's chest, he had my attention already 😮‍💨

like what actually made me go aww ( yes i’m so fucked up because it's been a hot day or so i realised i like him hhdjklsahsjaksk) was the fact that he was mindful of his claws and made oc feel good and was aware of it ( 🥹 ) and, all the small acts of considerations, though being the bare minimum ( apart from the biting her flesh apart, uh ) somehow made me fall more for him. He's manipulative in a way that lmskdkdkfjbsbfh. The sass he holds each time, especially in the beginning when oc started to interrogate him, ugh

seokjin's actions can be perceived as considerate in some ways but at the end of the day he's doing all of that for himself. he's starving himself not for the MC, but because he finds her amusing and wants to keep her alive for longer. he listens to her requests when he feels like it but it's more to instill a false sense of security over him actually caring about what she thinks, you know? but he does have some tact though, i'll give him that 🙈 that's correct!

this poor MC is in the trenches with her injuries, i shudder to think what would become of them over time 😩 she's not in for a fun time ahead of her, that's for sure. maybe seokjin could find some form of medication in the sunken ships but i doubt it!

sdjksd, he's hot in a scary way for sure 🤪 he's terrible when he wants to be and kinda-sorta-sweet when he wants to be, it's just hard to tell what version you're dealing with until it might be too late, lol! the sass is the best part about him haha 😌

I agree with that 😅 Maybe it’s because I relate to him a lot, but I don’t find myself really liking him in a way that I do other characters I like? (cough Alhaitham cough)

He would be a great best friend! I can totally see a roommate situation where whenever Alhaitham and him are arguing, he’d run to you and whine about how mean your boyfriend is.

Cue to Alhaitham pouting as you tell him to play nice with Kaveh (who may or may not be sticking his tongue out at him behind your back)

Even though Alhaitham trusts you more than anyone, he still gives the two of you side eye when y’all are doing facials/baking/hanging out together.

Whenever you and your boyfriend are trying to snuggle on the couch, Kaveh always sits in between y’all. “They’re MY best friend! The two of you could break up and I’d still be hanging out with them!” Cue another argument that you have to break up again lol

Kaveh isn’t boyfriend coded for me, but I still enjoy his character! :)
