The nobleman was caught off guard as you jumped on the King of Curses' lap, making yourself comfortable on his thigh. Your paws and legs tucked in for your usual loaf position.

Sukuna absentmindedly lifted his hand and ran his knuckles across your fur. He glared at the nobleman from his place on the throne. "Did I give you permission to stop speaking? Continue what you were mindlessly blabbering."

The nobleman spluttered and bowed even lower. "F-Forgive me, my lord. A-As I was saying, our village needs..."

But Sukuna tuned it all out as he focused on you who had suddenly started playing with his large hand, grabbing it with your tiny claws, kicking it with your legs and biting it. He chuckled.

"What's this? A little fighter, are you?"

"S-Sorry, my lord?"

"I wasn't speaking to you." Sukuna scowled at the nobleman who meekly bowed and apologised profusely again.

You started licking Sukuna's hand and purred when he scratched your neck.

The King of Curses hummed.

The nobleman shifted uncomfortably from his position on the floor.

Sukuna looked back at him, as if just remembering he was there and then smirked. "Hmph, I've made my decision. And my decision is that this brat here will choose whether you will live or die." He grinned maniacally as the nobleman's eyes widened in fear.

"W-What—?!"

"Now then, tell me, brat. Should this fool live or die?" Sukuna asked you, lifting you up by the scruff of your neck and holding you towards the terrified nobleman.

You glanced at him briefly then proceeded to lick your paw and wipe your face, completely uninterested in whatever was happening.

"Looks like a decision has been made." Sukuna chuckled and lifted his hand to flick his finger.

"H-Huh—?! N—No—wait—please my lord! Please spare me—!"

Sukuna laughed and leaned back against his throne, setting you back down on his thigh.

"That was more entertaining than I expected. Perhaps I should leave all the decisions to you." He smirked, scratching behind your ear.

"Mreow..." You purred, curling up on his thigh and closing your eyes.

You fell asleep on what you thought was the safest place in the world.
