He would totally go to camp half-blood or like be held captive by Hades with Persephone and him in his house and Nico(OR PERCY) finds a white haired teenager just floating around talking with Hades and Persephone and he goes “oh no! Hades had another child!” And proceeds to try and ‘free’ him and shit like that.

Ectoplasm = The Primordial Soup

I have Thoughts/Headcanons about the Infinite Realms I want to put down somewhere

The concept of Infinity is really really interesting on a metaphysical sense and to have a REALM titled after it? I want to know MORE. What is it? Is it purgatory? An end? A beginning? A funhouse mirror? Or all these possibilities in one, as it is truly Infinite?

Fanon-wise, especially in crossovers, the ghost zone/infinite realms is a truly infinite realm that connects to every universe out there. It serves as the Main Realm of the Dead, the sea in which all the other realms of the dead are floating in, right? When Danny is written as the King of this Realm, he is often placed at the top of the chain of command, above hades/hell/whatever demon or deity the author sees fit. The crown and ring literally grant (quoted from the show) “infinite power,” so Ghost King Danny is OP for a Canon Reason.

We are also using the fact that its a ghosts obsession that keeps them on that plane. Its their obsession that powers them, they are so attached to this one thing that the ectoplasm around them forms into what they want. Aka, power of belief. Belief is what makes the ghosts exist, and the concepts exist, and as we often see in writing, the many religions that the realms of the dead belong to.

(Edit: We see this in the wide array of personalized powers each ghost has, in thier wildly different appearances, every haunt and island tailored to them.)

With all these powers gathered in one place, what is the REASON that the infinite realms is as it is?

What if the infinite realms, and ectoplasm itself, is the primordial soup? What if every universe is formed first from a being of the infinite realms? What if the beings that created those worlds are just… primordial ecto entities. Playing in the sand. Over time growing in strength and detail until they became Gods of their own worlds, seperate from the infinite realms even as these worlds were born from it? All that remains are doors into their dollhouses, windows into their dreams, and the belief of the souls they made came back through and made more gods, more spirits. Souls come through those doors, back into the cycle.

This would explain why Danny Phantom Ghosts are different from traditional/normal ghosts in whatever crossover your using. Because they are ghosts, but they’re more akin to itty bitty primordial spirits.

The rivers of the dead, the Styx, the Nile, souls they travel back through the infinite realms before reentering the cycle or dropping off at thier final destination. But sometimes, as a soul is traveling, and their connection to something is strong enough, and their will is strong enough, they catch hold of primordial soup/ectoplasm, create a body of it, and escape the cycle of Life and Death. They become mini gods of their own obsession.

This ALSO explains ghost king by right of conquest and the head canon that ghosts bond by fighting! Not only are they basically indestructible, but the power of your will and strength of your character is a DIRECT link to how powerful you become. Winning in a fight demonstrates your stronger connection to the fabric of reality and your hold on your own existence. The flavor of that connection really helps Ghosts figure each other out.

Also, to become an Infinite Realms Ghost you have to be the kind of stubborn bastard who looks at the fabric of reality itself and goes “Actually? You work for ME now. Lets go.” They are all confrontational assholes.

The primordials don’t explain Shit to the tiny spirits so they go, “ah. I ghost. This is Ghost zone. This is normal afterlife.” And they don’t know that this is a place of creation, because all they know is that this is a place of death. But they make islands and lairs and domains of which they control, thier own Miniature World they are god of. They collect weaker spirits, who fit thier aesthetic and fill out their worlds. (Uniform/crowd ghosts often band together to form a group identity, acting as a support system for those who might fade easier. And definitely not Ease of Animation. Im putting lore here, yep. Main Character Syndrome is a Health Benefit/Status symbol in the infinite realms.

Anyways, eventually the secret of what exactly the infinite realms are is hidden away.

But as King, and Ancient of Space…

Danny is in charge of organizing all these universes. These galaxies, these tiny works of art.

He is so excited for when he’s old enough to make his own.

Thinking about the Hades OP AU I came up with. Zoro, prince of Hell, endlessly fighting souls through the underworld to become the best. Its endless, though, and he feels empty and doesn’t know WHY he wants be to the best. Doesn’t know anything besides that goal. Until a man of bright light and laughter appears in front of Zoro, as the swordsman is bleeding out and about to be returned in the river of Styx.

He asks who this weird guy is, because he definitely doesnt seem dead. Quite the opposite, really. He’s Luffy, the guy tells him, bouncing around excitedly. How did he get there, in the Underworld? Luffy laughs boisterously. He didn’t know! He was on an adventure, and sometimes he gets lost. Luffy was excited though, because there were many legends in the Underworld. Like Zoro, because the prince of the undead was famous! And, Luffy told Zoro, who was intrigued by the weird man, his brothers were down here too.

Zoro tells the Sun God that he wants to escape, but his father, Mihawk, the best, the King of the dead himself, stands in his way. Luffy laughs. Then he spoke; echoing the words that had been buried in Zoro’s soul. He just needed to become the best himself and then he could do whatever he wanted. Eyes gleaming, Luffy said that he was trying to the same. Become the strongest god, so he could be the freest.

Zoro was beginning to fade, to die yet again. As he died, Luffy called to him, telling him that he’s not alone! To come find him after he’s free, and until then, Luffy’s friends, the other gods, will support him with their gifts. Nika disappears then, and Zoro returns to his home.

He tells Perona, his sister and Fury sister (ironically one of those opposing him to escaping) of who had stumbled into over a bottle of nectar. She was flabbergasted, both at Zoro being so open and the fact that someone had casually entered the Underworld like that. But in her brothers eyes, she saw a fire and passion that had gone for so long, because of this Sun God

AGHH!!! Now that I’ve put thought into this crossover it works. I see Mihawk as Hades, Nami as Zeus, Robin as Athena, Jinbei as Poseidon, Brook as Orpheus, Ace as Achilles, Law as Thanatos. It’s open to interpretation, of course, so if you have ideas feel free to share! But come on. Zoro saying he’s the King of Hell and Luffy being the god of Joy and liberation. This makes me feel insane in the head

Have you ever seen the Ghostbusters? I have an entire Halfa!Egon AU to explain some of that shit his cartoon version got up to 😂

I threw that AU at Jill too when she showed up since she's basically the Egon of her group. Although I also have a sub au of that where they're twins, both Deities of life and death but her more death and animals and him more life and plants, and that's why they're halfas.

Honestly tho, I give EVERYTHING a cryptid AU Even if it's already a fucked world. For instance, Janine is a Naga (shifter) in one iteration 🤣

I also have a stupid crossover au where it turns out Kevin is Thor and Jill is Jane and at this point they've just been universe hopping for a while against will/intent and such.

Which, thinking of my Loki!Bruce stuff, now I'm just laughing about some massive DP DC GB MVL crossover. Catwoman and Talia are Sigyn and Angrboda from myths tho but I've no idea which is who 😅

It's even worse tho when you add Loki = James and Sigyn = Lily (I think I read every freaking fanfic that had that plot). Which, maybe Talia is Sigyn which makes Damien poor Harry. Also, half Indian James/quarter Indian Harry please and thank you very much.

But also you get into the craziness of which Joker and Harley are Loki/Sigyn too because I adored the version of Joker who was a non abusive crazy in the cartoon and wasn't yet in my loving Bruce era. Which adds even more to the whole 'two halves of a coin' bats and jokes has going on. 😅

And if we go with my age old Pariah Thomas, Gotham Martha, and Clockwork Alfred... yeah, Bruce might be a lil OP, or at the very least scare ol Connie with the number of seals on him to keep his powers locked away.

What's worse is that the Deity AU for Ghostbusters has Jill and Egon as twin children of alternate godhoods/godformes of Loki and Sigyn because OTP forever but also CHAOS (this deity au started when I was in high school and it's the one AU that never stops digging it's claws in, halp 😅)

But also Sam is the daughter of Hades and Persephone, and Danny is like... a mini Hela who Sigyn went to check on and, whoops, her soul got tethered to a too weak body so not only is she her own step great granddaughter but also the vessel is dying and that sucks.

I also had a PJO au where Tucker was a son of Hephaestus, which, I guess WW and Vandal get to fight over him? 😅

Ryukyu is town attempting to make a life for himself. Being born of a noble/ house he wants to be his own person attempting to both live up to his families legacy. Joining a guild and team as a combat trained medic to take on jobs.

Peace keeping mission between Villages:

- Hidden Cloud and another village go on missions/ train together to mend old bonds

- A ninja village is attacked ad the other sends aide. Attackers could range from akatsuke to otausuki

So, MLP is technically included in the ever expanding cloud of fandoms present in "The Crossover"... because portals? Do some natural portals connect from Ghost Zone into "pony land"?

Are there pony ghosts in the Zone?

What would happen to Danny if he fell through a portal to the place?

How likely would "The Ghost King" be mistaken for another big Villain by the natives?

Honestly a Halfa would probably be translated into an Alicorn if they went through because like. They are so OP.

That said!

It's kind of a thing of parallel sub dimensions so the MLP world has it's own Ghost Zone which... Due to the way that the Zone is shaped by the inhabitants, takes on the Greek Myth-esque vibe, even refering to their Ghost King with the title "Hades" (though it isn't actually a pony greek god).

Their current Hades is kind of currently a Pariah Dark kinda situation, but eventually my next gen oc Sirius will take over.

There are occasional portals that connect the Pony!Ghost Zone to the Human Ghost Zone! Though it's near impossible to have a portal from Living Equestria to Human!Ghost Zone/Human world to Pony!Ghost Zone!

12 Days of WIPmas - Day 1

Loosely inspired by @aconstantstateofbladerunner‘s 12 Days of WIPs, but instead of chapters, I’ll be posting loose outlines of fic that I have but will likely never finish. (Also, the fandoms involved are, uh, somewhat different, shall we say?)

First day’s outline is for ‘Til Memory Dies, a Red vs Blue/Honorverse Crossover

Is this mostly an excuse to use that title (which is from an Honorverse filk)? Yes. Does it work surprisingly well as a fusion? Also yes! Outline and spoilers for both beneath the cut.

The UNSC is replaced by the Solarian League, and Project Freelancer is their program for crack troops and agents provocateur. (Damien Harahap is Agent Montana or something.)

York is still alive. While acting as a lowercase-f freelancer (possibly smuggling arms to San Martin?), he was captured by StateSec and sent to Hades; post-escape, he’s a marine in the Protector’s Own.

Well, Project Freelancer is probaby technically run by the Mesan Alignment on some level, with both the Director and the Counselor being star lines (and Carolina never trusted enough to be told about it), but that’s not terribly important here. One evil entity pushing two sides to war at a time.

Chorus is in the Verge, not yet a protectorate but not doing much better than one, either.

Was the civil war instigated in part by the League to annex the planet? Probably!

Though it might make more sense for the feds to be part of the OFS, so maybe Chorus was in the process of annexation but had surprisingly effective resistance, so the Chairman went “burn it all down”?

In the Honorverse timeline, we’re set around 1915, during the ceasefire. Grayson and Haven have decided that, since Manticore declared the ceasefire unilaterally, they can sign a peace treaty without their allies, too. (Partially because having an extended ceasefire with no treaty is Bad and partially as a giant middle finger to High Ridge.) They’re doing this in neutral Solarian League space.

Havenite team: Giscard and Pritchart, who’s already in the Solarian League for speechifying or whatever. Also Victor Cachat for an intelligence perspective and because we haven’t created enough chaos yet.

Grasyon team: Michael Mayhew (Benjamin’s cousin) and let’s go with Captain Greentree as the military official present, with Harriet Benson and York serving as a guard/backup.

Shortly after the reds and blues crash (like, before they discover the conspiracy, because post-revelation would still be fun but not nearly as chaotic), this group’s does as well. You know how this goes from here.

There’s no alien tech aboard, but classified Alliance (and even Havenite at this point) tech is leagues better than what the League (heh) has

Also, Alignment influence. Can’t let these two not be pushed back to war or they’ll cut into your bottom line.

I’m thinking the division should be Pritchart, York, and Mayhew with the feds and Giscard, Greentree, Cachat, and Benson with the new republic.

This is mostly to stoke interpersonal tensions; Wash and York are stuck together, the most notorious rebel is with the non-rebel side with no one she trusts, and the strongest interpersonal connections (Pritchart/Giscard, but also York & Benson as Hades escapees and Pritchart & Cachat as friends of the Ushers/involved in internal Havenite politics) are broken up nicely.

Also, if the Freelancers ran ops in Havenite space, it would probably be for the Legislaturists (or the Committee), there would be lots of civilian casualties, and Pritchart would be Most Not Pleased with it. Basically Temple’s backstory but without the serial killing.

Cachat and Benson are both absolute chaos machines for the republic in entirely different ways. Cachat is doing his thing mostly independently and giving Felix an aneurysm; Benson is leading a squad with impressive competence (albeit little concern for personal safety).

Wait, can I somehow add Ginny to this embroglio for peak wtf?

It does not take nearly as long for people who’ve spent years practicing deception to realize they’re being deceived.

Big sticking points I can think of: logistics of shooting down every ship (both in what could be used, their effective ranges/supply, and what range they could cover since Chorus is Big), lack of attempted aid/reinforcements/intervention, weird shit about the conflict dynamics/history (e.g., where did the mercs come from and why, how is Felix getting news if comms are down)

Also, if any couple has developed codes to indicate hostage status and could figure out how to use them on Chorus, it’s Pritchart and Giscard.

Somewhere in the process of revealing the Chorus conspiracy, everyone looks at each other and realizes the Alignment conspiracy. (Maybe not in exact terms or even Mesa’s involvement, but a bit of the spidermen meme happens.)

Meanwhile, in space: the negotiation ship was not alone when it was thrown out of hyperspace; when it disappears, there are multiple navy vessels, all well within shooting range of each other, thinking the other side just killed their leaders. (Two contrived conflicts for the price of one!)

Extra angst: Dessouix was not on the crashed ship.

They figure out what happened and come to Chorus right as the Chairman attacks.
