âwhen vi finally speaks, itâs not just her words you hear, but the weight of everything sheâs too scared to lose.â
part i.
cw: female reader, vi x reader, angsty, jealousy, emotional hurt, hurt-comfort, viâs emotional struggle, vulnerable vi, mention of caitvi's relationship, slow burn, spoilers s2. this is long writer's note: guys this is long!! i didn't even know how to do this part, i tried to make it as canon as possible to vi's character, and remember this is fiction, not hate <3-
vi didnât move immediately after ou left. she stood there, in the middle of the alley, listening to the sound of your footsteps fading away and feeling like with each one, something inside her broke a little more. your words still echoed in her head, louder than any punch she had ever taken in the ring.
"why are you acting like this is personal?"
she had said those words reflexively, without thinking, in an attempt to protect herself. but now, as she remembered them, all she felt was a sharp pang of shame. she had seen the pain in your face when she said them, had felt the weight of your emotions and how your words had been filled with anger and something deeper, something vi couldnât quite understand.
"why did it matter so much to her?"
it was the only question she could ask herself as she stood there, motionless. she had faced fights, betrayals, even death, but she had never dealt with something as confusing as this. she had never had to look at someone and realize she didnât understand what they were feeling.
caitlyn approached, breaking the silence with a tone that seemed to carry more judgment than compassion.
âviâŠâ
ânot now, cait,â vi replied automatically, with a harshness that wasnât aimed at her, but at herself.
but caitlyn didnât stop.
âvi, you have to let her go. itâs clear that this⊠whatever it is thatâs going on between you twoâŠâ
âyou donât understand!â vi raised her voice, turning toward caitlyn. her eyes were red, full of frustration and something caitlyn hadnât seen in her before: fear.
caitlyn raised her hands in surrender, but the damage was already done. vi felt the explosion of emotions inside her, a chaos of unanswered questions that pushed her to act, to move, even though she didnât know where to go.
"why does she care so much?"
vi started walking aimlessly, her footsteps echoing in the empty streets of zaun while her mind raced. the image of your face, of your eyes full of tears and pain, wouldnât leave her alone. you had said you were nothing, that you would never be anything, but even so, your words had been full of something more: broken hope, a love that seemed too strong to ignore.
"why does she look at me like that?" vi thought, clenching her fists. she wanted to hit something, wanted all that noise in her head to stop. but she couldnât. your words were still there, like an echo that wouldnât fade.
âi never asked her to stay,â she muttered to herself, her voice heavy with self-defense.
but as soon as she said it, she knew it was a lie.
vi stopped in a dark corner, leaning against the wall as her breathing turned erratic. the streets around her were empty, but inside her, everything was full of noise.
âsheâs the one who decided to stay,â she whispered again, trying to convince herself. but she couldnât.
every time she tried to come up with an excuse, your image came back to her mind: you, taking care of her on the days when she didnât even want to get off the floor. you, following her steps even when she yelled at you to leave her alone. you, looking at her like there was still something in her worth saving.
"why did you do it? why do you care so much?"
vi closed her eyes, her hands trembling as she tried to recall every word you had said. you had mentioned the darkest moments, the days when she punished herself in the ring, the days when alcohol was her only companion.
you had said you were there. that you had always been there.
vi felt something inside her break. you had been there, yes, but she had never seen it that way. she had never allowed those things to matter because⊠because if she did, she would have to face something she wasnât ready to feel.
"why did you do it?" she murmured, as if speaking to you, though you werenât there to hear her.
the answer came slowly, like a current breaking through the chaos in her mind. you hadnât done it for her. you had done it because it was what you felt. because you wanted to save her, even when she didnât want to save herself.
"you took it personally because it was always personal."
vi felt the air leave her lungs. it wasnât just that you cared. it was that you had always seen something in her that she couldnât see in herself. and now that she finally understood, now that the pieces were falling into place, you were gone.
she closed her eyes tightly, letting her head fall back against the wall. tears began to stream down her cheeks, hot and silent. she didnât try to stop them.
"iâm such a coward."
that was the only conclusion she could come to. you had been there, enduring her worst, taking care of her when no one else would, and she had ignored it all. and when you had finally laid your feelings bare, when you had exposed the full weight of what it meant to love her, vi had responded with doubt, with silence, with words she now knew she should never have said.
"why are you acting like this is personal?"
because it had always been personal.

â
ââ
vi turned the corner into the alley and saw you. you were sitting on the ground, arms wrapped around your knees, with your hair falling over your face, hiding your eyes. she knew youâd been crying. she knew because she recognized that posture, that way of curling up when the pain consumes you and you donât know how to keep going.
vi took a deep breath, forcing herself to take a step toward you. then another. and another. her boots echoed softly against the damp ground of the alley, but you didnât lift your head. not until she finally spoke, her voice low and tense:
âiâm here.â
those two words made you lift your head, though slowly, as if every muscle in your body weighed too much. your eyes, swollen and red, met viâs, and she felt something inside her crack at the sight of all the pain sheâd caused.
âwhy?â you asked, your voice broken but sharp enough to cut deeper than any shout.
vi swallowed hard, looking at the ground before forcing herself to meet your gaze again. her hands trembled at her sides as she tried to find the right words. but there werenât any.
âi canât leave you like this,â she admitted at last, her tone so low it was almost a whisper.
you laughed, but it was a bitter, joyless laugh. âyou couldnât leave me like this? that didnât seem to matter when you let me spill everything i was feeling, and you didnât do anything.â
vi pressed her lips together. she couldnât defend herself from that because it was true. she had left you alone, not because she didnât care, but because she didnât know what to do with what she felt. because she was afraid.
âi didnât know how to react,â she confessed, her voice still tense. she took another step toward you, though you didnât move. âi donât know how to handle this⊠how to handle you.â
your brows furrowed, your eyes shining with a mix of disbelief and anger. âand what does that even mean, vi? what the hell does that mean?â
vi took a deep breath, her hands trembling as she ran them through her hair, tugging at the short strands as if that would help her think.
âit means i care about you,â she finally said, and though her voice was low, every word came out with an intensity that seemed to fill the entire alley. âit means you matter to me more than i know how to handle.â
the weight of her words hung in the air between you, and vi lifted her gaze to yours, searching for some sign that it wasnât too late. but there was no response on your face, only a mix of emotions she couldnât decipher.
âif i really mattered to you, you wouldnât have done this,â you said, and your words were like a direct blow to her chest.
vi clenched her fists, but she didnât look away. she knew you were right. but that didnât make it any easier to face.
âitâs not that simple,â she admitted, her voice trembling slightly as she tried to hold herself together. ânot after what happened with caitlyn.â
the mention of her name made your expression harden, and vi noticed.
âwhat does she have to do with this?â you asked, though you knew the answer might not be what you wanted to hear.
vi closed her eyes for a moment, letting the weight of the truth hit her before forcing herself to speak. âcait⊠made me believe i could trust someone again. that i could be more than a broken fighter.â
your chest tightened at her words, but you didnât interrupt.
âand then, when things got bad, she left. she hit me, insinuated i was a monster, and walked away,â she continued, her voice cracking slightly at the end. her eyes filled with something you hadnât seen in her before: fear. pure, absolute fear. âit wasnât just what she said or did. it was⊠that she made me think something iâd never believed was possible. and then she took it away.â
viâs shoulders slumped as she exhaled, as if sheâd been holding her breath for too long. âi donât know if i can trust someone like that again. i donât know if i can let myself feel that again.â
her words fell over you like a weight, but you didnât let your expression change.
âthen why are you here?â you asked, your voice filled with pain and defiance. âif you canât trust anyone, why do you keep coming back to me?â
vi lifted her head quickly, her eyes locking onto yours with an intensity that made your heart skip a beat. she took another step toward you, this time lifting a trembling hand, though she didnât touch you.
âbecause itâs different with you,â she said, and though her voice was quiet, there was something in her tone that made it sound louder than any shout. âbecause you saw me when no one else did. because when i wanted to destroy myself, you wouldnât let me.â
vi lowered her hand slowly, her shoulders sagging as her voice softened even more. âbut you scare me too. because with you, i canât pretend. and i donât know if iâm ready for that.â
the silence that followed was deafening. you could see the internal struggle in her gaze, the way she was caught between wanting to move forward and the fear that kept her anchored to the past.
finally, you let out a shaky sigh, turning your eyes away. âthen i donât know what you want from me, vi.â
vi pressed her lips together, her eyes filled with something that looked like a silent plea. âi want to try. even if i donât know how.â
your chest ached as you listened to her, but you couldnât just give in. not after what youâd seen, after what youâd felt hearing her call her âcupcakeâ as if nothing you had done for her mattered.
âthis doesnât erase what you did, vi,â you said, your voice low but firm, trembling under the weight of the emotions you had tried so hard to hold back. âit doesnât change how i felt when i saw you call her that, like⊠like i didnât mean anything to you.â
vi blinked, her face contorting into a pained expression. her lips moved as if she wanted to say something, but you raised a hand, stopping her before she could start.
âyou donât get it, do you?â you continued, your words laced with restrained anger. âitâs not just the nickname. itâs what it represents. itâs how it makes me feel, like everything i did for you wasnât enough.â
vi opened her mouth, but her voice broke before any words could come out. finally, she took a deep breath, forcing herself to respond. âi didnât mean for you to take it that way. it wasnât because you donât matter to me.â
âand how am i not supposed to take it that way, vi?â you shot back, taking a step closer to her, letting the intensity of your words fill the space between you. âyou always say you donât know how to handle this, but it seems so easy with her.â
vi shook her head quickly, her eyes filled with something that looked like panic. âitâs not easy with caitlyn. it never was.â
the mention of her name made your teeth clench, but you forced yourself to let her continue.
âwith her itâs⊠itâs different,â vi admitted, her words clumsy but honest. âcait was always⊠what i thought i needed. someone who made me feel like i could be more than what i am. but with youâŠâ
she trailed off, her gaze dropping to the ground for a moment before meeting yours again.
âwith you, i feel exposed. and that scares me because i donât know if iâm made for something like this.â
you stood in silence, your breathing shaky as you processed her words. the anger burning in your chest still lingered, but there was something in her tone, in the way her hands trembled at her sides, that made your defenses start to crack.
âthat doesnât make it hurt any less, vi,â you finally murmured, your eyes shining with tears you refused to let fall. âbut at least now i know why.â
vi nodded slowly, swallowing hard as if admitting all of this had drained every ounce of energy she had. she took another step toward you, her voice lowering even more.
âi want you to trust me. i know i donât deserve it yet, but i want to try. i want this to mean something.â
for a moment, the weight of her words filled the space between you. it wasnât a perfect promise. it wasnât an immediate solution. but it was something.
you took a deep breath, looking away for a moment before locking your gaze back onto hers. âthen show me, vi. because if you ever make me feel like iâm not enough again⊠i wonât stay.â
vi nodded again, more slowly this time, and though her eyes still held uncertainty, there was something new in them: determination.
you didnât say anything else. you turned toward the alleyâs exit, your footsteps echoing softly against the ground as you walked away. vi didnât stop you this time, but she didnât take her eyes off you until you disappeared into the darkness.
she stayed there, motionless, her chest tight and the words she wanted to say stuck in her throat. she knew that this time, words wouldnât be enough. she knew she would have to show you that you could trust her.
for the first time in a long time, vi felt like she had something to fight for.

PAIGE HAS ALWAYS noticed youâthough, funny enough, at first it wasnât because you cheered. That part didnât even register until her junior year, when she started paying attention to things off the court. But sheâd first noticed you back in her sophomore year, in that one class she didnât feel like she needed at all. Sheâd often zone out, either doodling in the margins of her notebook or letting her eyes drift around the room as she let her mind wander. Her gaze would skip over classmates until, one day, it stopped on you.
And, God, she remembers that moment. The way sheâd blinked, like she needed to reset her brain for a second because⊠well, you. It wasnât anything specific, nothing she could even name at the time. But there was this something about you that made her stomach flip. From then on, whenever she zoned out, her eyes would find you before she even realized it. Youâd be focused on your notes or lost in thought, completely unaware, and Paige would catch herself staring just a little too long.
Sheâd think about talking to you, but for some reason, you made her nervous. And that wasnât something Paige was used to feelingânot with girls. Sheâd been confident her whole life, even a little cocky when it came to flirting, and her reputation certainly proceeded her. But with you, all of that confidence vanished. Her brain would go blank, her hands would fidget, and her heart would pound just watching you, sitting across the room. The idea of walking up to you, striking up a conversation, felt almost laughable. Youâd somehow managed to turn her, Paige Bueckers, into a stammering mess with just a look.
And then there was the other partâthe part that kept her from making a move even when she managed to work up the nerve. You looked soâŠstraight. She knows itâs a stupid assumption, but something about the way you carried yourselfâsheâd convinced herself that you had to be straight. Maybe it was the way you fit in with the other girls, how they flocked around you like they were all in some effortlessly straight, picture-perfect group. Whatever it was, Paige felt certain youâd never look at her the way she looked at you.
So she let it go, or at least, she tried to. But you kept slipping into her thoughts, distracting her in that class, making her mind wander back to you when she least expected it. Her silly little crush on you lingered all through sophomore year, and even when summer rolled around, she found herself thinking of you every now and then, imagining what it might have been like to know you outside of that class.
Then junior year rolled around, and her whole world changed with that ACL tear. Benched for the season, her focus shifted in ways she never anticipated. Instead of charging down the court, she found herself sitting on the sidelines, watching, observing things she normally wouldnât have noticed. And it was during one of those games, one of those long, frustrating nights when she just wanted to play, that she saw you againâthis time, on the court as one of the cheerleaders.
At first, she couldnât believe it. She actually had to blink a few times, like her brain was trying to catch up with what her eyes were seeing. This was her third year at UConn, and she hadnât noticed you were a cheerleader ever. Maybe she really was just unobservant, but it truly shocked her. You looked completely different from how you did in classâmore animated, more alive, like you were in your element. And when you started that long, impressive tumbling pass down the court, her jaw dropped. She didnât even know you could do that, and it left her staring, heart hammering in a way she hadnât felt in a long time. (And maybe the tiny little uniform helped speed it up, too.)
From then on, Paige couldnât keep her eyes off you during games. Sheâd always find herself watching you, wondering if youâd somehow feel her gaze, hoping that maybe, just once, youâd look her way. She spent so many games like thatâsneaking glances, letting her mind wander, imagining what it might be like to finally work up the nerve to talk to you. But game after game, you never seemed to notice her, too focused on your routines, your teammates, and the cheering crowd around you.
And Paige? She knew she was hopelessly stuck. Sheâd sit there on the sidelines, feeling ridiculous, pining after a girl she couldnât even talk to, a girl she thought sheâd never really have a chance with. It was her worst crush yetâthe kind that left her feeling off-balance, stumbling over her own thoughts, trying to convince herself that it didnât matterâand sheâd never even spoken to you. But each time she saw you out there, smiling, moving with that same effortless grace, sheâd feel that same pull, that same quiet, persistent ache.
Itâs senior year now, and Paige has one thing on her mind: basketball. Itâs been more than a year since sheâs played, and sheâs determined to make this season count. All summer, she told herself the same thing over and over: Stay focused. Donât get distracted. No more drifting thoughts, no more daydreams, and absolutely no more pointless crushes on girls she canât have. And especially no crushes on you.
You, the cheerleader sheâd spent too many junior year games staring at from the sidelines. You, the girl she still thought about when her mind wandered late at night, even though she knew better. No, this year, she was locking in. Sheâd worked too hard, too long, to let her head get all twisted up over you again. She was here to play basketball, not to chase after some unattainable crush.
But as she jogs onto the court for warm-ups, trying to ignore the butterflies that come with her first game back, her eyes somehow find you anyway. Just like they always do. And itâs like no time has passed at all. Youâre laughing with the other cheerleaders, your hair perfectly styled in a half-up-half-down, a bow nestled in it, your uniform hugging you just right. The lights catch on your skin, giving you this soft glow, and your smileâGod, that smile, so open and sweet and painfully distractingâhas her heart skipping a beat before she even realizes it. Paige quickly snaps her eyes away, reminding herself sheâs here to play, not to get lost in some imaginary world where she has a chance with you. This is her first game back, and even if itâs just an exhibition against Dayton, sheâs got to make it count.
With a deep breath, she manages to brush you off. The pregame excitement kicks in, and her focus sharpens as the game begins. And itâs everything sheâs been waiting forâthe sounds of the court, the rush of the crowd, the thrill of moving with the ball in her hands again. Sheâs finally back, and for the first quarter, sheâs locked in, feeling the rhythm of the game, feeling unstoppable.
Then it happens. KK makes a bad pass, and Paige is already in motion, chasing down the ball to save it from going out of bounds. She dives, stretching to reach it, but itâs just out of reach. Before she can stop herself, sheâs crashing full speed into the sidelinesâright into the cheerleaders.
Right into you.
The impact is quick and jarring, and she scrambles to her feet as fast as she can, heart hammering in her chest. Sheâs prepared to rattle off an apology when she realizes who sheâs just barreled into. Youâre significantly smaller than her, and her stomach drops as she takes in your wide eyes and the faint wince that flickers across your face. But you handle it with the same grace sheâd always admired from afar, waving her off with a laugh and saying, âItâs fine! Youâre good!â Your smile is easy, casual, and sheâs even more mortified by how sweet youâre being about it.
She tries to apologize again, but youâre already brushing it off with that smile, and she feels her face heating up as she mumbles something unintelligible before hurrying back onto the court. But now her headâs a mess, all her carefully built-up focus gone, replaced by the embarrassing replay of what just happened. She tells herself to get it together, but itâs no use. Her mind keeps drifting back to the look on your face, to the sound of your laugh, to the softness in your smile when you waved her off.
The rest of the game passes in a frustrating blur. Sheâs off her rhythm, missing open shots sheâd normally sink with ease, getting caught in rotations she usually anticipates. By the end, sheâs only scored eight pointsâa painfully low number, especially for herâand she feels the weight of it like a stone in her stomach. She should be thinking about the game, her missed shots, how to get her focus back. But as she sits on the bench, watching the last few minutes tick away, all she can think about is you standing there, laughing off her clumsy collision, looking up at her with that easy, unbothered smile.
So much for not getting distracted.
After the game, Paige is still kicking herself over how sloppy her performance was. She lingers in the locker room, hoping to avoid any unwanted run-ins. But finally, when sheâs convinced sheâs given it enough time for everyone to clear out, she heads out into the quiet halls of Gampel Pavilion.
Except, of course, her luck isnât that great. Just as sheâs walking out, she spots youâstill in your cheer uniform but with a UConn sweatshirt thrown over it, heading down the hall, cheer bag on your back. Her first instinct is to turn around, bolt back into the locker room, and hope to avoid any more humiliation, but itâs already too late. You look up, and your eyes meet, and suddenly sheâs frozen in place, panicking because sheâs actually staring straight into your eyes.
And then you smile at her. That smile, the one that sends her brain into a meltdown every time. But itâs so much worse now because your smile is directed at her. And, suddenly, youâre walking up to her and saying, âHey, good game tonight,â and Paige is pretty sure her heart has stopped.
She tries to seem casual, to play it cool, but all she can manage is a shrug and a half-hearted, âEh, wasnât my best.â Sheâs hoping you donât notice her stutter, but her cheeks are burning, giving her away.
You just wave it off, your dimple showing as you grin up at her. âNah, this was just your warm-up. You havenât played in, like, over a year. Next game youâll drop thirty.â
Paige blinks, and the fact that you know sheâs good at basketballâeven though everyone knows sheâs good at basketballâis enough to send her into a coma, she thinks. âOh, gosh,â she says, rubbing the back of her neck, struggling to find words. âGonna have to now, just for you.â The second itâs out of her mouth, she mentally facepalms. That totally sounds like sheâs trying to flirt with you.
But you just laugh, eyes crinkling as you look at her, completely unfazed. âIâll hold you to it,â you say, and that smile doesnât waver.
Thereâs a pause, and Paige knows this is where youâre about to say goodbye, and she panics because, after two years of thinking and practically obsessing over you, sheâs finally talking to you, and it feels too short, too fleeting. Before she can second-guess herself, she blurts, âOhâuh, hey, about earlier⊠when I ran into you. Iâm⊠really sorry about that.â
You shake your head, smiling even wider, brushing it off with an easy laugh. âDonât worry about it. Happens all the time; more than youâd think.â
Thereâs something so casual and warm about the way you say it, and she feels herself relax a little, caught up in the fact that youâre looking right at her, not at all bothered, almost⊠endeared? And for some reason, seeing your dimpled smile has her stammering like sheâs never done before.
âSo⊠uhâŠâ Paige stumbles, her words failing, her confidence gone. âAre you, um, going to Tedâs tonight?â She bites her lip the moment itâs out, but she presses on. âYou know, a lot of people go there after the first gameâitâs kinda, like, aâŠthing. Which, yâknow, I guess you probably already know about because⊠youâre, like, not a freshmanâŠâ She sounds so stupid. God.
You tilt your head slightly, considering, before you smile at her again. âI wasnât really planning on going, butâŠâ You pause, looking at her with a bit of a spark in your eyes, and for a second, she feels like she might actually combust. âShould I?â
Paigeâs eyes widen, and sheâs nodding before she can stop herself. âY-yes! IâI think youâd have a good time.â She mentally scolds herself for the stutter, but youâre just nodding, still smiling, still looking so effortlessly at ease while sheâs a nervous mess.
You laugh softly, a sound sheâs sure sheâll replay in her head all night, and say, âAlright. Iâll think about it. And if I do decide to go, Iâll see you there, Bueckers.â
And with one last smile, you turn and walk away, leaving her standing there in shock, her heart racing and her mind replaying every word you just said. Sheâs tempted to pinch herself, convinced this has to be some elaborate daydream because thereâs no way she actually just talked to you.
She doesnât move for a long moment, replaying the way you said her name, the sound of your laugh, and the chance that she might actually see you tonight.
ITâS LATER in the night at Tedâs, and Paige is doing her best to stay composed, talking with one of the guys from the menâs team. Dirty Shirley in hand, sheâs feeling just the faintest buzz, not enough to loosen her grip on reality but just enough to feel the edges of her confidence soften. Sheâs nodding along to something the guyâs saying when, over his shoulder, she spots you walking in.
Paigeâs attention falters as she takes you in. Youâre in baggy jeans that hang low on your hips, and a leather tube top that clings in all the right places, dipping enough to make her gaze lower slightly. She can barely tear her gaze away as you head over to the bar with a couple of friends, both of whom Paige recognizes from the cheer team. Youâre laughing, leaning into one of them, completely at ease, and she canât stop watching.
She realizes sheâs staring a little too long, so she quickly excuses herself, not to talk to youâGod, no, she canât even think straight around youâbut to hide by her teammates before she does something stupid. Her teammates notice her the moment she approaches, grinning as they watch her flustered expression.
âYou see who just walked in, P?â Azzi teases, nudging her.
Paige groans, cheeks burning. âDonât start.â
But theyâre all laughing, and Ice is elbowing KK with a smirk. Nika, whoâs been listening with a barely disguised grin, rolls her eyes. âOkay, this is ridiculous. Youâve had a crush on this girl since, like, forever. Go talk to her.â
âAre you kidding? I canât. Sheâsââ Paige doesnât even finish the sentence, glancing over her shoulder just in time to see you at the bar, waiting for your drink. Sheâd be lying if she said her confidence hadnât evaporated the moment you walked in, looking like that.
âGirl boo,â KK sighs dramatically, before grabbing Paigeâs wrist and dragging her toward the bar. Paige stumbles after her, mumbling weak protests, but KK is determined, practically hauling her across the crowded floor until theyâre standing right next to you. KK orders a Sprite, leaning casually on the bar and glancing over at you with a grin. âHey, girly pop! You cheer, right?â
You smile, looking more at Paige than at KK, and Paigeâs heart thuds against her ribs. âYeah, I do,â you say, introducing yourself and holding out a hand to KK, but your gaze flickers right back to Paige, whoâs half-hiding behind her friend, cheeks pink and looking slightly caught. âHi, Paige.â
Paigeâs voice comes out a little sheepish. âHey.â
KK smirks, clearly satisfied, and gives Paige a quick wink before excusing herself, leaving Paige standing there alone with you.
Thereâs a beat of awkward silence as Paige shifts on her feet, trying to keep herself from looking like an idiot, which is hard considering how aware she is of every single thing about youâyour posture, your smile, the way youâre leaning in just close enough that she can catch a faint hint of your perfume.
âSo,â Paige says, trying for casual. âYou glad you came?â
You tilt your head, your lips quirking up. âHmm, not sure yet. Iâm not too impressed so far.â
She nods, stifling a wince, feeling more awkward than she can ever remember. And yet, her mindâs racing, urging her to just go for it, because this is her moment. Sheâs Paige Bueckersâsheâs supposed to be confident. She always is. Besides, if youâre not interested, at least sheâll know. And if you areâŠ
She hesitates, then swallows, trying to keep her voice steady as she says, âUm⊠can I buy you a drink?â
Thereâs a flicker of something in your eyesâmaybe amusement, maybe surpriseâand sheâs mentally bracing herself for you to say no when you glance at the bar and say, âActually, I just ordered one.â Her heart sinks a little, but she forces a smile, trying to play it off. Of course youâre not interested; she should have known betterâ
Then youâre leaning closer, nudging her elbow with yours, and you smirk, your voice soft and playful. âBut you can buy my next one, if you want.â
Paigeâs brain short-circuits as your words settle in, her mouth going dry as she realizes what you just said. âUh, y-yeah, totally,â she manages, trying to keep from looking as giddy as she feels. âIâŠIâd love to.â
Your smirk turns into a grin, and youâre looking at her like sheâs the only person in the room. Sheâs trying to come up with something smooth to say when, suddenly, one of your friends pops ups beside you and Paige, tugging on your arm, pulling you off the barstool and towards the crowd with a teasing, âCome on!â
Paige opens her mouth to protest, but before she knows it, youâre being swallowed up into the throng of peopleânot before you send her a quick, apologetic look over your shoulder, your friend still dragging you. Paige frowns, a little disappointed, but quickly catches herself. Itâs fine, she thinks, though a twinge of regret lingers. She pushes it aside, grabbing her drink from the bar and returning back to her table, telling herself to focus on celebrating. Sheâs finally back on the court, and after such a long, difficult recovery, tonight is meant to be about unwinding. So she does, letting her team hype her up as they cheer and clink their drinks in her honor, pulling her deeper into the night.
As the time passes, Paigeâs frustration eases, replaced by a warm buzz that dulls everything except the elation of being surrounded by her friends. But even as she sips her drink, she canât help but think about where youâve disappeared to, if youâre still here, still laughing with your friends somewhere across the bar. She finds herself scanning the crowd more than once, looking for a glimpse of you. She tries to push it down, laugh it off with another round, but every time she looks around, her gaze seems to search for you.
Eventually, the heat of the crowded bar gets to her. She feels flushed, dizzy from the alcohol and the mass of people, so she slips out the back door for some air. The cool breeze hits her face, and she closes her eyes for a second, sighing as the sounds of the bar fade behind her. She barely has a moment to herself before she notices a figure sitting just a few feet away.
Itâs you, sitting on the curb, looking down at your hands as if lost in thought. Paige blinks, unsure if sheâs seeing things. But then you look up at the sound of the door closing and smile, that familiar, gentle smile that makes her heart stutter. You seem just as surprised to see her, but your expression softens, like youâre genuinely happy sheâs there. And thatâs all the encouragement Paige needs.
âYou care if I join?â she asks, trying to sound casual, even though her heartâs racing.
âNot at all,â you reply, and she takes a seat beside you, a bit closer than she planned. She feels your warmth even in the night air, and it makes her head spin in a way she canât blame on the alcohol.
Thereâs a pause, a comfortable silence stretching between you. Paige watches as you draw patterns in the gravel with your fingers, the lights from the bar casting a soft glow over your face. She swallows, summoning up the nerve to say somethingâanything that might keep you sitting here with her.
âWhy you out here?â she starts, genuinely curious.
You shrug, glancing back toward the bar. âGot a little claustrophobic in there,â you say, voice soft.
âYeah⊠me too,â Paige nods, grateful for the fresh air and this quiet moment with you. The silence returns, but this time, itâs charged, heavy with something she canât quite put into words.
Finally, Paige finds her voice again, her words slipping out before she can think them over. âYouâre a good cheerleader, yâknow. You do all those flips and shitâitâs impressive.â
You let out a small laugh, looking away for a second as if flattered. Paige is almost certain she sees a faint blush on your cheeks, and the sight makes her smile a little, lips curving upward. âDidnât know you really paid attention to the cheerleaders,â you respond, teasing.
Paige scoffs, shrugging as if it isnât a big deal, even though she feels like sheâs been caught in some sort of confessionâwhich, she kinda has. âWell, I did sit out for a year, so⊠I had to find something to watch.â
You tilt your head, smirking as you ask, âSo you chose to watch me?â
Paigeâs cheeks warm, and she silently thanks the alcohol for the courage that lets her meet your gaze. âYeah,â she murmurs, watching as you look away, biting your lip as if trying to hide a smile. The sight makes her heart skip in a way thatâs both exhilarating and terrifying.
After a moment, Paige adds, âI think we⊠had a class together, couple years ago?â
You nod, eyes lighting up at the memory. âYeah, we did. Sociology, right?â you reaffirm, nodding in tandem with her. ââM surprised you remember thatâyou always seemed so disinterested.â
Paige nearly blanches, genuinely surprised youâd noticed her too. She didnât think youâd have remembered her, much less noticed her back then. The notion gives her some of her usual confidence beck and she manages a chuckle, shaking her head and tilting it slightly toward you as she murmurs, âAh, so you were watching me too, huh?â
You roll your eyes, but your smile betrays you as you nudge her shoulder. âShut up,â you mutter, but the blush on your face doesnât go unnoticed.
Thereâs another pause, the two of you sitting side by side in the quiet, both of you lingering on the edge of something unsaid. Finally, you break the silence, voice soft and hesitant. âHow come you never said anything before?â
Paige swallows, the question catching her off guard. She doesnât know how to answer without giving herself away, without admitting the way her stomach twists every time she sees you around campus. So instead, she asks, turning the question back on you, âHow come you never did?â
You donât seem to mind that she didnât really give you an answer. Instead, you just shrug, looking down at your hands. âI donât know⊠you make me kinda nervous.â
The confession makes Paigeâs heart alight, feeling like itâs on fire and might spread throughout her whole body. Sheâs used to people being in awe of her for basketball, for her skills on the court. But hearing you say that you feel that way too, like sheâs someone more than just her reputation, shakes her. Besides, youâve always seemed so incredibly at ease around her, never even bothering to look her way. So, almost incredulously, she asks, âWhy?â
You scoff, looking at her like sheâs missing something obvious. âUm, because youâre Paige Bueckers. Basketball prodigy, campus celebrity.â You raise your eyebrows at her. âI think most people would be.â
Paige feels a rush of warmth at your words, the way you say her name like it means something special. She searches your face, feeling the air grow thick around you, heavy with something she couldnât quite name. And maybe itâs the alcohol in her system, maybe itâs the way youâre looking at her like sheâs somehow both intimidating and endearing at the same time, but sheâs feeling bold. Bold enough to keep this conversation going, to see where this moment might lead.
She clears her throat, a small smile tugging at her lips. âWell, if it helps⊠you make me nervous.â
You laugh, a little breathless, clearly surprised. âYeah, right.â
âIâm serious,â Paige insists. âYou ainât see the way I stuttered around you earlier? Ion know, ma, you just kinda fuck with my head.â
She watches, grin widening, as you blush at her words, the color blooming across your cheeks. Itâs addictive, seeing you react like thatâbecause of her. She doesnât even try to hide her amusement when you ask, gaze set out in front of you instead of on her, âWhy would I fuck with your head?â
Itâs a good question, one Paige asked herself for a long time. It never took her long to figure out the answer. Though, sheâs a little nervous to explain herself.
And she gets even more nervous when your gaze slides back onto hers, your head turning towards her. Paigeâs smile falters, just slightly, at the eye contact. Itâs intense, the kind that feels like itâs holding the world still for a second. Paigeâs heart is a drum in her chest, each beat vibrating through her veins. Her eyes slide across your face, your features, tracing the slope of your nose, the curve of your lips, the faint shimmer glitter swiped along your eyelids. She catalogues every detail as if sheâs never going to get this close againâa very real possibility if she doesnât up her game.
Finally, she leans inâjust slightlyâher voice low and steady as she answers you. âYou got this positive energy that makes you just⊠stand out in front of a crowd. Big smile. Bright eyes. Mm, I just⊠like seeing that in people.â
The words settle in the space between you, warm and lingering. Paige hesitates, letting them wrap around you both before adding, her voice dipping lower, her boldness shooting upward, âAnd it doesnât help that youâre too beautiful for your own good.â
You blush deeper this time, cheeks tinted more red than pink, and it makes Paigeâs heart skip. She canât help the way her lips twitch into a grin. Sheâs waited so long to see thisâsee you flustered because of her. Itâs everything she imagined and more.
âStop,â you protest, fighting a smile as you push at her hands, your tone not carrying any weight behind the word. Paige just laughs, soft and easy, catching your hand in hers before you can pull away. She lifts it slightly, letting her thumb brush over your knuckles as she murmurs, âNah, really.â
Itâs then that the air changesâshifting into something heavier. The space between the two of you is practically nonexistent at this point, your sides tucked right into each other. Youâre staring at one another, and Paige canât help it when her gaze flickers down to your lips, just for a second. But it turns out to be enough. Because then she sees your eyes dart to her mouth in return, lingering there. And thatâs when Paige knows.
Still holding your hand, she locks her gaze on yours, her voice firm but soft when she repeats, âReally.â
Itâs like that word unlocks something between you because suddenly youâre leaning in, and Paige is doing the same, her breath catching the moment your lips touch hers. Itâs soft, tentative at first, like neither of you are quite sure if this is real. But then you press into her just slightly, and Paige swears the whole world tilts on its axis.
The kiss deepens, slow but deliberate, and Paige feels her whole body light up. Your lips are warm, soft, and you taste faintly of tequila and strawberry chapstick. Itâs intoxicating, the way you move against her, gentle but with enough purpose to make her head spin. Paigeâs hand slides up to cradle your jaw, her thumb brushing against your cheekbone.
Your fingers grab at her bicep, holding on like you donât want to let go, and it sends a thrill through her. Paigeâs lips part slightly, and when you follow, letting her slip her tongue into your mouth, itâs like a fire ignites somewhere deep inside her. The kiss isnât frantic or messyâitâs unhurried, like the two of you have all the time in the world to explore this. She can feel the heat of your skin where her hand cups your face, and she wants to memorize every second, every sensation.
The way you tilt your head just a little, giving her more access, nearly undoes her. Paige tilts her own in response, deepening the kiss further, her fingers slipping from your jaw to the back of your neck. The touch is light, almost reverent, but the closeness makes her heart race.
Your other hand moves, grazing against her side before resting lightly on her hip. Paigeâs stomach flips at the contact, her body leaning instinctively closer to yours. She swears she can feel the warmth of your breath between kisses, the subtle hitch when she nips at your bottom lip.
Itâs slow, itâs sweet, but itâs intoxicating. Paige swears sheâs never kissed anyone like this before, never felt this much just from simple lip-locking. When you pull back slightlyânot breaking the kiss entirely, just catching your breathâshe canât help herself. She follows you instinctively, her mouth chasing yours in a way that feels both vulnerable and utterly fearless. You allow her to, tongues half entwined between your swollen lips.
When you finally part, Paige keeps close, her forehead gently pressing against yours, her hand still cradling your neck. Neither of you moves far, the space between you so small your breaths still mingle, soft and warm against each otherâs lips. Paigeâs eyes flutter open, but she doesnât look away from you, her gaze locked on yours like youâre the only thing in the world that mattersâwhich, right now, you might as well be.
Her voice comes out lower than she intends, husky and laced with something she canât quite hide as she murmurs, âYou gonna let me buy you that drink now?â
Your lips curve into a slow, easy grin, and Paige feels her chest tighten, her heart skipping a beat at the sight of it. Youâre so close she can see the faint glimmer of mischief in your eyes, the way they soften as you look at her.
âYeah,â you say, your voice soft but sure, âIâd like that.â
The way you say it, the way your smile widens just slightly after, makes Paigeâs heart race all over again. She canât help the small, satisfied smile that spreads across her face. Paige leans back just enough to take in the sight of youâyour flushed cheeks, the way your hairâs slightly mussed, and that lingering, breathtaking smile she knows will haunt her in the best way.
âGood,â she murmurs, her thumb brushing your jaw lightly one last time before she pulls away completely, standing up and offering you her hand. When you take it, she holds on a little longer than necessary, leading you back into the bar, already planning how sheâs going to keep you smiling for the rest of the nightâand, hopefully, much longer afterwards.

The Birdritch's Nest part 25
masterpost
âThat is a lot of plants,â Jason said. He swept his eyes over the space as he slipped his lock picks back into their little pouch.
âHe has a botanist friend, apparently, and she keeps giving him plants,â Dick explained as he squeezed past Jason and into the apartment.
âWhy are you here again?â
âBecause I have a car which is better to carry all of Dannyâs stuff in than your bike,â Dick explained. He went over to the wall of plants in front of the windowed corner and squinted down at something on his phone.
Jason pulled out his own phone to glance at what Tim had sent. âYou say âall Dannyâs stuffâ like the list was long. The guy hasnât exactly been demanding.â
âThe âguyâ expects to actually go home in a few days,â Dick pointed out.
âAnd is an adult and so can, you know, actually go home,â Jason retorted.
âDamianâs attached.â
ââŠI concede to your point,â Jason said once that thought sunk in. âDouble the clothing asked for?â
âBasically. Make sure that he has a weeks worth, Alfred can always do laundry,â Dick said before letting out a little noise of triumph and doing something over by the plants. âThere, watering system turned on.â
âCongratulations, youâre a genius,â Jason drawled. âNow go get his medication gathered up and snoop a little while youâre at it.â
âI thought we werenât supposed to be snooping,â Dick, words a teasing sing-song as he passed by.
Jason flicked him off. âLike you wouldnât anyways. I just want to know what you find.â
âOnly if you tell me what you find in the bedroom.â
âDeal.â
The bedroom was almost startlingly normal after the plant filled living main room. It didnât look like Danny really spent much time in it beyond sleeping. The bed was absentmindedly fixed, a black down comforter over pale blue sheets. There was a paperback on the nightstand next to a lamp and a pocket sized notebook with a pen clipped onto the bent and battered cover.
It was the first thing that Jason picked up.
The notebook was obviously where Danny made notes when he was already settled in bed. As Jason flipped through the pages there was everything from to-do lists to invention ideas to⊠a lot of thought about wings. Jason turned the notebook in his hands. That page wasnât in English. The language felt like it was on the tip of Jasonâs tongue but he just couldnât get it out.
Maybe some sort of dialect?
Jason couldnât actually read it, but there was enough to piece together from similarities that tugged on his memory. Enough to understand it was about the wings. Something about the process of change? Aging?
âHey Jay?â Dick interrupted, scattering Jasonâs thoughts. âCan you read the label on these bottles? Thereâs some serious printing issues happening, I canât even tell what language itâs in.â
The pill bottle felt oddly cold in Jasonâs hand when he took it from Dick, but maybe the bathroom just had shit heating in this place. It would be just like Gotham builders to mess that up.
âOh, thatâs the same thing Danny is writing in here,â Jason said passing the notebook to Dick. âItâs something about wings and getting old, I think, but I canât really read it.â
âRead it? I donât even know what it is. Gives me a headache just to look at it,â Dick grumbled as he flipped through the notebook. âThe whole bird thing has really been on his mind, hasnât it?â
Jason gave a little huff. âDo you blame him? The guy has wings now. It would be on my mind too.â
âYeah⊠guess I really canât,â Dick said and snapped a picture of the page with the unknown writing to send to the group chat. âAny idea what it is?â
âNope. Itâs like itâs a distant dialect or that it uses some of the same alphabet of something I learned some of once. Like how Chinese and Japanese use some of the same characters, you know?â Jason explained as he opened the side table drawer and then quickly closed it again. That was more than he needed to know about Danny. âMaybe something from when I was catatonic in the league, who knows. There were a lot of languages in that place.â
âCass or Damian might now it then,â Dick said as he eyed the drawer Jason had now moved away from.
âDonât, trust me,â Jason said. âDid you get the medications you needed to grab?â
âYeah, theyâre in the bag. Just a standard bathroom, really. Though he keeps his toothbrush in this old mug with a hero I donât recognize on it, someone called Phantom.â
âDoesnât ring a bell, but it sure sounds like a hero name. Add it to the list,â Jason said as he started on gathering up the requested clothing and extra enough to last a week. âCheck the closet to see if there are any shits in there that work around wings.â
Jason rolled his eyes as Dick threw the closet doors open dramatically and focused on his task. Jeans, sweatpants, underwear, what he guessed was pajamas were all added to the bag.
âSo, nothing that looks like it was made for wings,â Dick said and tossed some normal shirts and a few sweaters into the bag. Jason sighed and folded them neatly. âMaybe he hasnât had time to find any yet? It hasnât been that long since the bird thing and seems it all started there. Or maybe heâs just always home when heâs had then?â
âBetter let Alfred know then. Heâll want to get something as soon as possible.â
âYeah, good point,â Dick agreed.
While Dick stepped out of the bedroom to call Alfred, Jason took the time to double check the list. It really was pretty basic. Jason didnât know if Danny was just trying to not be demanding or if the guy didnât need much, but Jason went ahead and put the bedside paperback and notebook in the bad too. Jason slung the duffel bag Dick had brought over his shoulder (he totally could have ridden his bike like this) and took a little bit of time to snoop through Dannyâs bookcase while Dick finished the call. Sci-fi, horror, old text books, and a ton of notebooks filled the shelf with knickknacks and a few figures. Jason at least had to give Danny points for having some of the sci-fi classics, even if the range of works was pretty limited.
âOkay, Alfred is on it,â Dick said. âAnything else we need to do?â
âNah, I think weâre good,â Jason said. Something made him not want to look through the notebooks, like they had already done enough snooping. It was an odd feeling. âLetâs get going, Iâm hungry for whatever dinner is.â
âYouâre always hungry,â Dick said.
Jason shrugged rather than dealing with how true that statement was. âIâm a growing boy.â
âYouâre a trash pit.â
âYeah, you want to go there, cereal boy?â
âLeave my cereal out of it!â
---
AN: I do love writing Dick & Jason so much. Can you tell I have an older brother? Also sorry for the mistakes I'm sure are abounding. Guess who turns out to be anemic? This critter! Maybe getting that fixed will help...

hiii!! may i request for headcanons/ an imagine about the crew with a bubbly and cute crew member who playfully; innocently flirts with them? (preferably someone younger than the crew as well, but not minor đ. say early 20s?) the crew member really is a solid team player and person, but they also just wanna see if they could get the other crew members flustered (and see if they have a chance with them đ). hope this makes sense! thank you so much! ^^
Flustered;
Crew Members x A young! And incredibly flirty! Reader. [ Reader is not a minor just younger than the crew members]
warnings: slightly suggestive.
Captain Curly
God help this man. He is just trying to keep everyone on the ship happy and secure and was definitely not up for the challenge he was now facing.
A young intern probably like half his age is constantly on the prowl to catch this guy off guard.
He liked you very much already, due to how much of a breath of fresh air you were on that ship, always taking care of stuff. But this? Oh boy.
He's had a fair share of people try and flirt with him,to try and get into his pants, but with you? It's different, very different.
He just couldn't pin point as to what it was about you,the way your words would roll off your tongue like butter.
The way your voice was so sultry and raspy...or was it the way you looked at him that would make his blood run hot.
He was trying, trying so hard to control himself, he's the captain after all.
But lord knows,a man can only control his nerves so much.
Co-Pilot Jimmy
what. the. fuck. ?
no seriously, what the actual fuck? he had no clue in the fucking world as to why someone as fucking drop-dead gorgeous as you was hitting on HIM of all people?
It didn't help how you were like SO YOUNG compared to him.
He thought you were probably joking around, teasing him. To make him feel like shit. And he started to almost resent you for it.
But by god- can someone seriously be THIS PERSISTENT with a joke???
He was on fucking edge all the time, because he simply, couldn't think straight whenever you would hit on him.
A part of him just wanted to snap and makeout with you in an instant, but he was just holding it together, for the sake of who knows what.
But patience always runs out, doesn't it?
Nurse, Anya
This poor,poor girl.
She already was stressed due to how things were going on.
she couldn't handle a young intern, who also happened to be a bit too, attractive was hitting on her.
she got so flustered that you had to apologise on several occasions.
She admired how you were so efficient at your job, always making sure to get things done.
But she always stuttered whenever you would pull those one liners on her.
The nurse was falling, and she was falling hard.
Mechanic, Swansea
he isn't paid enough to deal with this shit.
sure,he appreciated how useful and competent you were compared to his other intern.
But was the price of your competency...uhh this?
Flirting with a guy who's old enough to be your dad?
He would just shrug all of your advances off, just shooing you away whenever you tried to pull any crap.
but he's also..just a guy, lord help him wanting to indulge in some good ol' flirting.
The old man is trying his best,he is.
Mechanic Intern, Daisuke
Is this his lucky day? Another intern, just a little younger than him,was hitting on him?
HE WAS ON ANOTHER PLANET. ( No pun intended )
He would get incredibly shy and flustered tho, he's not used to this.
It doesn't help just how pretty you are. He's not even used to talking to pretty people.
He was just trying to pull his big boy pants up and face you like a true man.
But he would always just melt away at your words.
He wants to ask you out so badddd but he's scared that you're just casually flirting with him.
Seems like you're gonna have to make the first move.

Sweet Temptations.
logan howlett x fem!reader
cw: fingering, oral (f receiving), innocence kink, inexperienced reader, darkish!logan
a/n: hi! sorry i've been gone so long! i have plenty of stuff in the works but for now here's this. i'm working on making a mini-series of dark!logan x inexperienced!reader so i hope everyone enjoys! <3
to think, logan almost went out to the bar tonight. almost left to find a one night stand or come home and fuck his hand. tonight could've had so many different outcomes but luckily, he ended up with the best one.
there's a light knock on his bedroom door. he knew it had to have been you since everyone was on a field trip a couple hours away for the night. logan obviously wasn't interested in going and you were busy working on an experiment in the laboratory.
in all reality, logan just wanted an excuse to stay here alone with you overnight. ever since he joined the x-men and met you down in the lab in that cute white coat and pretty smile, he's had a crush on you.
"hi, logan." you smile softly when he opens his door.
"hey, dollface. you need something?" he asks, leaning against his door frame and eyeing that short little nightgown of yours.
"can we talk?"
"sure."
the two of you walk into logan's room and sit on the end of his bed. you sit up on your knees, facing him. he can tell that something is on your mind but you're unsure on if you should confide in him or not.
"is everything alright?" he asks, growing concerned.
you nod, chewing on your bottom lip.
"whatcha wanna talk about then, sweets?"
logan's large hand rubs your knee softly, almost coaxing the words out of you.
"would you do me a big favor?" you ask, avoiding his hazel gaze.
"of course."
there's slight hesitation. you were afraid of logan's reaction to your request. after a deep breath, you remind yourself that it's just logan. the same logan who trains with you every morning, the same logan who plays with your hair when he's board, the same logan who praises you for all your hard work in the laboratory. there was nothing to be afraid of.
"c-can you take my virginity?"
the question almost killed logan. he though he had died and gone to heaven. you finally look at him with a twinkle in your eyes and he feels the need to adjust the tent growing in his pants.
"where'd this idea come from, sweetheart?"
"well, i was seeing a guy a while ago who acted really weird when i told him i was still a virgin then when i told storm and jean, they told me that if i'm ready to do it, than it should be with someone i trust." you explain so innocently to him. "i just figured since you've always been so gentle with me and i trust you so, i was kinda hoping you wouldn't mind."
never in his wildest dreams could logan have imagined this happening. you sitting pretty on his bed, practically begging him to take your virginity. god, logan couldn't even remember the last time he was with a virgin. must've been decades ago.
"that's real sweet, dollface. 'f course i'll do it." he says, watching your smile grow with excitement. "first i need to know what you've already done."
"i've kissed while sitting in someone's lap, given a hickey twice... maybe three times? some nights i'll rub myself against one of my pillows."
even though he knew the answer, he had to ask,"ever fingered yourself?"
"no." you shake your head, almost making logan moan at just the thought of being the first person to do that to you.
"want to try it?"
"s-sure but i thought we were gonnaâ"
"we will." logan assures. "need to get you loosened up first if you want me to fit inside of you."
a small gasp exists your lips, making him chuckle. logan leans, testing the waters to see how you kiss. he's a bit shocked by how you pull him closer to deepen it. you moan into his mouth while your hands roam his hair. he sits you in his lap and lets you grind yourself on top of him, showing him what you know.
"let's see if you're nice and wet for me." logan hums, lifting up your nightgown and feeling the wet spot over your underwear. "very good, dollface."
without thinking, you let out a tiny moan next to his ear because of his praise. he can't help but pull your head from its hiding spot in his neck to look at you.
"you like when i tell you how good you're being for me?" he ask, watching your face contort as your hips keep moving. one of his hands rests on your waist, stopping you from moving. "c'mon, you can tell me."
"mhm..." you nod. "love when you praise me."
suddenly, your back is pressed flat against his sheets as he kisses all down your body. leaving little marks here and there until he reaches the waist band of your pretty pink underwear.
"did you wear these just for me, princess?" he asks, placing a kiss right over the cotton covering your button.
"y-you said i looked p-pretty in pink."
as the words stumble out of your mouth, logan feels a warmth spread across his heart. a couple months ago, you were wearing a new pink dress and as logan passed you by, he mentioned how pretty you looked in the color. it meant a lot to you.
"you still do." he says. "can i take these off of you, baby?"
you nod, lifting your hips a little to help him. logan tosses the pink cotton somewhere behind him. lifting up the nightgown to your tummy, eyes glued to the spot in between your legs.
"didn't think you could get any prettier." logan mumbles to himself.
his intense gaze made you feel a bit vulnerable, trying to close your legs but his large hands stop you.
"don't hide from me, princess." he says, capturing your attention. " 'm gonna make you feel good."
logan carefully drags his thumb through your slit, collecting the arousal and circling it around your button. the feather like touch sends your head back and whimpers to fall from your lips. gently, logan pushes his middle finger past your velvet walls, groaning once you clench around him.
"atta girl, princess." he smirks watching you swallow up his finger. "takin' it so good."
logan watches in awe as your head fall back and the arch in your back. slowly he inches his face closer and licks a thick stripe up your fold before sucking softly on your button. you feel logan muffle 'fuck' against you, only resulting in more arousal to spill out of you.
"o-oh, logan." you moan, hips chasing his tongue feverishly.
since this was your first time, logan went easy on you, not making you work for your orgasm. he feels your cunt clench down on his one finger as it hits deep inside of you until you are seeing stars. with logan's other free hand, he paws at your tit and rolls it in his palm.
"need m-more!" you whimper with glossy eyes and lips. "p-please, lo."
in an attempt to give you what you want, logan struggles to hit another finger inside of you. he wasn't sure what he did to deserve this type of heaven but god, was he thankful for it.
"i can't, sweetheart." he groans, kissing your hip bone as he speeds up the finger inside of you. "you're too tight for two of my fingers. there's no way i'll be able to fit inside of you tonight."
before you could whine in protest, this indescribable wave of euphoria washes over you. smooth silky legs wrap tightly around logan's head. thighs covers his ears, blocking out the sweet sounds you were making. logan goes back to sloppily making out with your cunt until you weakly pull him off and drag him up to your lips, tasting your own release on his tongue.
"thanks, lo." you smile in a daze at him.
"anytime." he says. "i think you'll need another lesson soon though if you want to take all of me. do you want that, princess?"
he could feel your heart rate increase eagerly. you blush intensely and avoid his gaze as you nod.
"alright." he chuckles darkly. "but first, you gotta show me how you get off on your pillow."

beatdown buddies
(You always read fics where the pit is instantly calmed by Dannyâs presence, but what if it didnât?)
Now, you have to understand, that Jason was long past attacking strangers in a blind fury. The Bats? Sure, all the time--- but he was working on that.
This particular scrawny, possibly-homeless stranger hadnât done anything more than simply exist in Jasonâs proximity. If it was any other Crime Alley resident, Jason would be much more likely feel a surge of protectiveness.
This guy thoughâ he was different.
Locking toxic-green eyes to toxic-green eyes made the pit in his skin violently react. Before he knew it, he was hitting the guy with everything he had, and the guy was hitting back.
The groceries Jason had left his apartment to get spilled all over the ground as the two rolled.
Pulled hair, split knuckles, and bruised bodies, the guyâs fist hit Jasonâs jaw for the umpteenth time, cracking his head back and making him look at the gloomy sky.
They only used their fists. Jason could feel the familiar ghost of weapons hidden under the other guyâs hoodie, but neither pulled their hidden weapons.
Despite it all, Jason and the guy shared blood-tinged smiles. Blood boiled under his skin in an exciting trill. He was angry, and it was fantastic.
Heâs pretty sure he just made a new best friend.
Someone hit Jasonâs back with what could distinctly be identified as a broom. He vaguely heard the sound of yelling around him, but Jasonâs only focus was getting his next hit in.
Eventually, they were stopped by a familiar shade of blue and black. Strong arms pulled him off the stranger and pinned his arms down, locking their arms over his chest to prevent Jason from getting free.
âYou need to calm down!â Dickwingâs voice lectured in his ear. âYouâre going to kill him!â
Surprisingly, Jason settled in Dickâs hold, fight and anger drained out of him in the space of a breath. The fire under his skin didnât keep flaming and flaming and building it justâ stopped.
âOh, Please.â The stranger was grinning widely, despite the model of developing bruises and cuts across his face. A burly man who Jason vaguely recognized worked at the store they were standing right in front of was both holding up and holding back the guy. âWe were just saying âHiâ.â
The guy made eye contact with Jason. Blue, no hints of green anywhere. The guy winked. âDanny.â
Frankly, Jason couldnât quite explain his actions. He felt stupidly chastized by Nightwingâs patented older brother stare of disappointment. Apparently, the guy couldnât explain his actions either, as he disappeared the instant no oneâs eyes were on him.
-
Jason arrived an hour early to Wayne Sunday family dinner. He missed cooking alongside Alfred, and offered his help.
He let Dick wrap an arm around his shoulder for a few seconds as a welcome. He didnât seethe at Bruce simply being there. He chose to sit between Tim and the Demon brat when it looked like new fratricide plans were being drawn up by the younger.
The pit didnât scream under his skin to hurt. Little things didnât set him off, making him have to leave early. He wasnât tempted to throttle anyone for existing around him.
The pit was just⊠quiet. Peaceful even. Well, as peaceful as it could get in the Wayne household.
It was a massive improvement compared to six months agoâ hell, compared to last month.
He shrugged off inquiries about his black eye, citing it would heal quickly anyway.
-
Jason should have known he wasnât safe.
Sure, he was on a roof one could only grapple to, across the city from crime alley, and dressed up as Red Hood.
However, Danny always reappeared periodically like a well-timed extremely therapeutic punching bag.
One moment, Jason was looking down over the streets of Gotham the next, he was being flying-kicked by a lithe frame. Something instantly recognized Danny so, rather the putting a bullet in him, Jason picked himself back up into a crouch and lunged at Danny.
âHood? Hood whatâs going on?â Someone called in his earâ Oh, right he had connected comms with his family that night.
Danny stopped suddenly, straddling Jasonâs stomach, one hand fisting his collar, the other posed to strike. He blinked. glowing green eyes turned blue. âYouâre not like, busy doing vigilante stuff, are you?â He asked.
Every bruise and cut from their last fight was gone, his baby face appeared as though it had never been punched in his life, making him look all the more punchable.
âNope.â Jason answered, driving an elbow into the kidâs stomach and in the same motion ripped the comm out of his ear to toss it to the side.
Minutes later Danny was pulled off him, and the fire under his skin died down.
He blinked back into his surroundings to find himself on a rooftop with half of Gothamâs vigilantes standing in a circle around him, an unease that he could only read because he was so familiar with them written in all of their body languages. Batman held Danny slightly behind himself, keeping a firm grasp on the guy so he couldnât escape.
âYou claimed the rage was getting better.â Bruce stated in the way that meant he was supposed to answer his unasked questions..
Jason waited for rage and indignance to rise up in him, but rather he just considered that Bruce saw glowing green eyes and a brutal beat down and made a logical leap.
âIt has!â Jason argued anyway. He sniffed and ran a hand under his slightly bleeding nose. It didnât sting enough to be broken. âI havenât lost my cool in months.â
âThatâs what he has me for!â Danny chimed happily. His nose was broken, but Danny didnât seem to mind the twin streaks of blood running down his face. âWeâre friends with Benefits. Itâs always healthy to have a little dead-guy on dead-guy action. You guys should really fight with him more often, his ectoplasm is rank.â

* * * * * * *
Natasha could be sweet when she wanted to.
That was the first thing you learned after agreeing to become her and Wanda's submissive.Â
The rules and details weren't too clear yet, the redhead promising to answer all your questions as soon as the Sokovian came back from her mission. Still, she did what she could to fill in the gaps of your knowledge, allowing you to ask her as many questions as you pleased before showing you, in great detail, what she meant.
Despite the cold exterior you'd learned to love, she was much softer with you than you'd ever imagined. Sure, she was still a mean domme at heart, but she wanted to show you heights of pleasure you'd never experienced before.
And she went to great lengths to guarantee it.
It quickly became clear to you how much she loved impact play. Even outside of play sessions, she would always come up behind you, landing a hard smack to your ass before pulling you into her arms. You didn't mind, even when she did it in front of the others.
(Although Tony did whistle at you guys once and promptly earned himself a punch to the stomach. He laughed it off but made sure to never tease the Widow about her behavior with you again.)
You knew there were a lot of things you didn't know or fully understand, but Natasha always seemed to find a way to make you feel more excited than nervous about it. It was almost funny how quickly her personality changed once she allowed you to see past her walls.
Sure, she was still a little mean and more than a little snarky (which is exactly how you liked her, if you were being honest) yet there was a softer, affectionate, side that started coming out more and more.
She told you it was simply because Wanda wasn't around and she wasn't allowed to "break you in" without her around. Maybe it was a silly excuse perfectly crafted to keep you on your toes, but you didn't really mind.
Well, except because you really missed Wanda.
Being without the witch was harder than you thought it would be, but the Widow kept you busy enough to forget the empty spot beside you in their bed.
Your bed.
That was the second thing Natasha made you learn.Â
Yes, you were technically an addition to their relationship, but you weren't an outsider. You never were.
That was the third thing you learned.
Both Natasha and Wanda had their eyes on you from the very beginning. They loved each other, and their relationship made them happier than they could put into words, and yet they always felt something was missing. A third energy to keep them in check. To stop them from getting too rough, too mean with each other. To help remember how to be soft after spending so much time fighting with the world.
It was...strange, but you couldn't deny what they meant to you. The attraction you felt toward them had always been there and after Wanda opened that door...well, let's just say there was no going back.
You didn't understand how real that was until now.
Because somehow, someway, after carrying guilt you didn't even need to have in the first place, you were here.
You were theirs.
You were waking up in their bed with Natasha's arms wrapped tight around your waist.
A shudder ran down your body as the redhead's lips met your bare shoulder, peppering kisses across the skin. "Morning, detka. Sleep well?"
"Yeah," you reply as a smile forms on your face. "You're a fantastic cuddler."
"Shut up," she mumbles. There's a clear lack of annoyance in her words despite her attempts at sounding tough. "I don't know what you're talking about."
"Your grip on me begs to differ."
At your response, her hands move to grip your waist, her nails digging into your soft skin. The sensation makes you gasp, your back arching almost instantly. You can feel the redhead smiling against your skin. It hasn't been that long and she already knows your body better than you do.
"Sorry, were you saying something?" She says, taking advantage of your reactions to grind against your ass. "You seem a little distracted."
It's a bit of a cruel game but it's one she loves to play with you. Truth be told, she loves playing with you, period. You're so different from Wanda, so much more responsive, more honest about your constant neediness.
"I don't know what you're talking about," you mumble, not so subtly grinding back against her.
Just because you were slowly learning the rules regarding your place didn't mean you didn't love pushing Natasha's buttons whenever you could. Which really only happened in the mornings and during aftercare. Those were the only two moments when the older woman allowed herself to be soft with you, to let you see behind the walls she'd expertly put up to keep everyone out. Everyone except you and Wanda, it seems.
Her voice remains low, straddling the border between a tease and a warning. "Is my good girl trying to be a brat?"
Your heart skips a beat at her words. At the mention of being her good girl. Of being hers.
After the rough beginning your relationship had, you never thought you'd be let into her heart in any way. And yet here you are. You're her good girl, her kitten, her darling submissive.
"No..." You trail off, trying to decide whether to behave or push her buttons a little more. Ultimately, your desire to be a little shit wins out. "...Daddy."
Natasha chuckles behind you, her hands moving from your hips and toward your breasts. She gives them a soft squeeze as her thumbs tease your hardening nipples. "Oh, kotenok, you woke up cheeky this morning, huh? You know what mouthing off like that will earn you, right?"
You do know. She's told you many, many times before, usually while she's praising you for being so good for her and drawing out orgasm after orgasm from your overstimulated body.
However, she's never actually acted out any of her warnings. It's a good thing, you know that, and yet you can't stop yourself from wanting to see what it will feel like. To explore what that kind of submission will do to you.
"Yes, Daddy. I know."
She hums before going right back to kissing across your shoulders, nipping at your skin just to get you to arch into her teasing hands. "I see...you want to be punished, don't you? Want Daddy to remind you of your place until there's nothing else inside your mind?"
You're about to reply when you're interrupted by F.R.I.D.A.Y. "Miss Romanoff, Miss Maximoff has asked me to notify you of her return."
Your cheeks flush, even though the disembodied voice can't see what exactly you're up to this morning. At the very least, F.R.I.D.A.Y. is a lot less nosy than Jarvis ever was. Although, if you're being honest, you liked him better before he turned into a robot.
"I'm assuming she'll be at the Medbay for a while?" The Widow replies, her mind no doubt full of the things she'll do to you to pass the time.
"Yes, it seems she'll be there for the next half hour."
"Good. Thank you, Friday."
The AI doesn't reply and you can practically imagine her making a swift exit out of the room, leaving you to face whatever it is that the redhead has come up with.
"y/n..." Natasha purrs, her breath hot against your ear. "I have an idea. Why don't we give Mommy a nice surprise, hmm? Don't you want to be her pretty welcome back gift?"
You're not sure what being Wanda's "welcome back gift" will entail, but you can't deny your curiosity about it. Especially since the witch has no idea what you and her girlfriend have been up to. You have no doubt she has her suspicions, she is a mind reader after all, but it'll still be nice to surprise her.
You agree before you even know what you're doing, and Natasha wastes no time in springing into action.
In a matter of minutes, you go from lying comfortably under the covers to being spread out on your back, your limbs tied to each corner of the bed. You're exposed, vulnerable, and you love every second of it.
Of course, Natasha isn't satisfied with that. No, to top off the pretty sight you make, she places a deep, dark red ball gag between your lips. You shouldn't be surprised since, after all, you did ask for it.
"There we go," the redhead hums appreciatively, her eyes taking in the beautiful sight. "Now, just sit tight, okay, detka? I'll be right back."
You whine instantly, but she pays no mind to you, quickly making her way out of the bedroom and going to look for Wanda. You're not exactly happy about being left alone yet, there's nothing you can do. All you can do is throw your head back in frustration and wait for your lovers to return.
You're not sure how much time goes by, although there's no doubt in your mind that Natasha does her best to draw out their return just to mess with you, but eventually, they make their way back to you.
The sound of the door opening makes you practically vibrate with excitement, your hips wiggling from side to side without thinking.
"Well, would you look at that," Wanda says as she steps further into the room. "Looks like someone was having fun without me."
Natasha follows her in, standing behind her and wrapping her arms around her waist. There's something so domestic about the action that makes your heart clench.
"I had to get her ready for you, darling," the redhead replies as her chin finds the other woman's shoulder. "She looks good, doesn't she?"
"She sure does. I take it you worked out your issues?"
"We came to an...agreement, yes. I couldn't let you have all the fun."
Wanda chuckles, the corners of her mouth quirking up into a fond smile. There's no mistaking the fire in her eyes, though, the desire simmering below the surface. "And you said I was crazy for wanting her to join us."
The Widow grumbles, clearly not quite ready to admit her girlfriend was right. "You're still not off the hook, you let her believe you cheated on me."
"When are you going to let that go?"
"I'm not sure, maybe you should make it up to me."
Natasha's eyes remain on you but Wanda turns around, silencing her girlfriend's complaints with a fiery kiss. All you can do is watch, feeling left out and far too involved at the same time. You're slowly getting used to their competitive antics.
Their kisses turn desperate in nothing short of a few seconds, leaving you far too desperate and needy while you squirm around on the bed. They take their sweet time getting back to you, though, instead letting their hands wander over each other's bodies.
You'd love to complain but you're still gagged so talking is pretty much impossible. More than that...you can't say you're not loving the view. It makes you feel a little dirty, like you're watching an intimate scene you shouldn't be, and it brings a rush unlike anything you've ever felt before.
They know, because of course they know, and your obvious arousal only motivates them to tease you.
Natasha moves first, expert hands reaching for the hem of Wanda's shirt and lifting it over her head in an instant. "I missed you."
"Are you talking to me or my boobs?" The witch replies with a perfectly raised eyebrow.
"I'm talking to all of you."
"Nice save, 'Tasha."
"Shut up."
There's something comforting about the scene in front of you, even as your frustration builds. You've been with them before, but it's different this time. You can feel the change in energy, the easy chemistry that flows between all of you now that Natasha isn't trying to push you away.
"Come on, I think we've teased our good girl long enough," Wanda says, taking the redhead's hand and leading her toward the bed. "Isn't that right, sweetheart? You're feeling a little frustrated, hmm?"
You nod desperately in response, tugging at the rope that holds you down. Your actions only make both of your lovers chuckle.
"Look at her, she's drenched and we haven't gotten started yet," Natasha comments, her eyes trailing up and down your body like a predator assessing its prey.
"I'm guessing this means training's going well."
"She's a quick learner. A bit bratty sometimes, though."
The way they talk about you as if you're not a part of the conversation has you clenching around pure air. It doesn't help that the Widow is so accurate in her assessment of you. You love being submissive, being under their control, but you can't deny how much fun it is to disobey. To push against the boundaries she's set for you, not to defy her but to tease her. Maybe even test her a little.
It's far too fun.
"Is that right, sweetheart?" Wanda asks, even though your body language makes it clear how correct Natasha is. "I thought you liked being our good girl. Because if you don't, well...you know what happens to naughty girls, don't you?"
Of course you know. It was one of the first things the redhead taught you. Sure, the rules and terms weren't too fleshed out yet since Natasha had wanted her girlfriend to be a part of the whole exchange, but she'd gone over most things with you. Rewards, punishments, hard limits, all that stuff.
You're unable to tell the witch that, though, thanks to the gag in your mouth. Your incoherent mumbles seem to entertain her for a few seconds while Natasha sneaks off toward their closet.
Wanda's chuckle cuts through the air. Your attempts at convincing her you've been good clearly amuse her. "I know, baby, I know you like being good. Otherwise, Nat wouldn't be so attached to you."
"I'm not attached," the redhead grumbles.
A month ago, her words would have made your heart drop into your stomach. Now, though, you know she's only playing a part. She has no problem telling you how she feels outside of a scene, but when you're playing, when you're being their pet, she's right back to being mean. Right back to degrading you and humiliating you until you're riding the edge of pleasure and pain.
"Keep telling yourself that, darling."
"Oh, I will."
Their banter is borderline comforting. You've loved spending time with Natasha, but this, being with them and seeing their personalities come together, this is where you thrive.
Well, it's not like you're doing much. Then again, they like you most when you're like this. Vulnerable, at their mercy, and so obviously loving every second of it.
Wanda climbs onto bed with you, crawling over your body until she's hovering over you with a gentle smile that steals all your worries away. "'Tasha's such a liar, isn't she, sweetheart? It's okay, let her act like she's the big bad."
You want to laugh, but it's a little hard when she's leaning down to pepper kisses all over your face. The action is far softer than what you were expecting and it makes your heart soar.
You were ready for a rougher training session, for a trial run meant to show you what you had been missing in the witch's absence. But this? This is really good too.
Wanda continues her loving assault on your skin, trailing kisses down your jaw and toward your neck. You tilt your head back in response, earning a soft giggle muffled against your skin, as she kisses and nibbles all up and down your throat. There's no doubt in your mind that she's littering your skin with hickies and noticeable marks, but you find you really don't mind it.
The witch steals your attention long enough for Natasha to gather a few supplies before making her way over to you. You feel her set a few things down next to you, but you don't get to see what they are. Not that you really mind considering how busy your mind is.
"Stop hogging her attention, that's not very fair."
"It's not my fault you left her so fuzzy-headed. Poor girl didn't even stand a chance, huh?"
You shake your head, a few muffled whines making their way out of you.
Natasha chuckles as she shifts onto her knees next to you. Her hands find their way between you and Wanda's bodies, teasing your skin as she explores the territory she's spent the past few days claiming.
"Oh, please. This is nothing. You should've seen the state she was in last night."
The reminder makes you squirm in your restraints, trying to get closer to them to no avail. You know how desperate you look, how absolutely needy you are, but you can't find it in yourself to care. This is what you had been waiting for. To be completely theirs. To surrender to them and accept everything they were willing to give you. Sure, it was intimidating and yet it felt incredibly right.
"Are you trying to make me jealous?" Wanda responds, working her way down your body, expertly avoiding the areas where her girlfriend is touching you.
"You deserve it. Wasn't this your fantasy?"
"Maybe. It was hers first, though. Isn't that right, detka?"
The change in topic makes you blush. It shouldn't be surprising to hear that the witch had already known about your feelings for her but it's still a little embarrassing. At least she seems to enjoy it.
You nod, your movements slightly frantic and no doubt fueled by the feeling of her lips on your flushed skin. She takes her time dragging her lips up and down your inner thighs as Natasha teases your hardening nipples.
"Such a good little slut. I bet you're already so fuzzy. Just want your cunt played with and nothing else." The redhead distracts you with her words, leaving you completely unprepared for Wanda's continued assault.
You don't hear the thrumming sound of the vibrator coming to life, but you sure feel it against your sensitive clit. Your whole body shudders in response as your hips buck in a desperate attempt to escape the overwhelming sensation.
Your reaction makes the witch laugh and she leans down to press a few more kisses to your thighs. "There you go, that's what I like to see."
Her words feel more like humiliation than praise and yet you can't find it in yourself to care. Not when it feels so good that it borders on painful.
"Excuse you, we were having a little chat." Natasha's tease is coupled with a firm grip in your hair as she tilts your head toward her. "I'll have to train you if you don't fix that attention span, pet."
"Be nice, Nat, it's not her fault she likes me more."
"God, you're such a brat, Maximoff." Her free hand leaves your body to land a sharp smack against Wanda's ass. "I'll put you in your place too, if I have to."
The witch hums in response, very clearly pushing herself back against the redhead's hand. "You know I'd enjoy it."
Natasha spanks her again and the sight has you bucking your hips faster as you search for more pleasure. You let out a string of whines, already feeling yourself on the edge of an orgasm. It's a little embarrassing how quickly you're reaching your limit but in your defense, you've been worked up ever since you woke up. You were bound to lose from the beginning.
"Don't tell me you want to cum already, sweetheart? We've barely gotten started."
You want to defend yourself, but your attempts are instant failures. Natasha seems to get off on how pathetic you sound, though.
"It's alright, kitten, why don't you go ahead and cum for me? Mommy hasn't earned her reward just yet."
Wanda opens her mouth to object but she doesn't get very far since the redhead goes right back to spanking her.
You're not used to seeing the witch in a slightly more submissive position. She always seem to straddle the border between being fully in control and immersed below Natasha's dominance. This change of pace is more than welcome, though.
The vibrator gets pushed harder against your sensitive clit and the pressure sends you over the edge almost instantly. You don't get a chance to warn them, all you can do is give in to the sudden pleasure as your body trembles beneath them.
They're both distracted by the sight of your orgasm crashing into you so suddenly. So beautifully.
"What a good girl," Natasha murmurs appreciatively. "You could learn a thing or two from her, Wands."
"Whatever." You miss the way the witch rolls her eyes since your eyes are more than a little blurry and there's a soft ringing in your ears. "It won't be my fault when she forgets her place, Daddy."
That earns her another spank, but she's too busy moving the vibrator away from your drenched cunt to care. You whine softly at the loss of contact even though you feel far too sensitive to take much more.
Apparently, you look as out of it as you feel because the older women take a few moments to let you catch your breath.
Wanda's hands gently stroke up and down your legs to keep you grounded while Natasha shifts closer, her hands reaching out to undo the ballgag. "How are you feeling, kotenok? Do you want to keep going?"
Your throat's a little dry, but you manage to form a reply. "I'm okay. Just need to catch my breath."
The Widow nods before reaching over to grab the bottled water on the nightstand. She helps you take a few sips of water while Wanda continues to caress your skin, both giving you as much time as you need to recover. It's such a small thing and yet it's a reminder of why you're so attached to them. Why you need them more and more with every day that goes by.
Your relationship with them might have had a bit of a rough start, but you couldn't imagine a better outcome. Couldn't imagine two better people to surrender your heart to.
"Someone's in a romantic mood," Wanda pipes up with a soft smile.
Her words cause an instant response in you and you feel your face grow warmer by the second. "Why are you in my mind right now?"
"Because your thoughts about me are so loud," she replies almost instantly. "Don't look so embarrassed, detka, I think it's cute."
"Shut up," you mumble, momentarily forgetting where you are and what you're in the middle of doing.
Wanda's smile turns slightly dark and her hand comes down against your thigh before you can even think about what you did wrong. "Where'd your manners go, huh?"
The sensation makes you shiver, but Natasha reaches a hand out to stop the witch from smacking your thigh again. "Time out, darling. I don't think we're quite ready to keep going."
You want to argue with her and yet you make no real effort to. As much as you might want to keep going, you can't deny how overwhelming it all was...and how desperate you are for some cuddles.
"Sorry," you mumble.
Wanda instantly shushes you as she uses her magic to undo the restraints keeping you tied down. "Nonsense, you have nothing to apologize for."
The second your limbs are free, Natasha's hands are on you again. This time, though, she merely maneuvers you onto your side so she's able to slide in behind you. The second her arms wrap around your waist, your shoulders let go of the tension they've been holding.Â
Wanda wastes no time in joining the two of you, laying down in front of you and reaching up to play with your hair. "Just relax, we have all day to pick up where we left off."
"Don't rush her, little witch."
Natasha's words make you chuckle and you lean forward until you're practically buried in the witch's chest. "I'm okay, guys. I don't break easily."
A beat of silence goes by as they allow you to soak in the afterglow, in the feeling of their embrace.
But the Widow really can't help herself.
"Are you sure? Maybe we should test that out."
Her words are a tease, but none of you can deny your curiosity...or your arousal.
Needless to say, you spend most of the day tangled up in their bed.
Your bed.
With the two women who mean the absolute world to you.

đ nerds do it best
pairings : nerd bf!jungwon x reader
synopsis : when your bf comes to class with a new look
note : this is sort of a long one !! not too sure how i feel about this one, i couldnât get to the point honestly but i still hope you enjoy my rambling !!
You made it to your classroom a little earlier than usual but it doesnât bother you much since youâll be accompanied by your boyfriend jungwon. You and jungwon usually walk to school together since you guys live in the same neighborhood but different streets. He wasnât answering your messages or calls which made you a little worried. Heâs always the one to do those things but today it was the other way around and he doesnât answer? weird. There was a possibility that he went to sleep later than usual so thats ultimately what you thought.
After getting your things out for class, you decided to go to the bathroom and stroll a bit before class since again youâre way earlier today. Soon or later you arrive back to your classroom and basically everyone is in there seats talking waiting for class to start in about a minute or two but wheres jungwon? He hasnât taken his seat next to you, let alone even arrive since the desk and seat were both empty. You decided to send him a message again in hopes heâll respond.
you : class is starting, where r u???
hello jungwon?
baby?
With no luck and class starting you had to put your phone away and just hope heâll come in later. While waiting for him you were having a hard time focusing worrying about him but the sound of the classroom door drew you out of your daydream. There he was. Jungwon..but your smile on your face turned into surprise and confusion when you see he now has..BLONDE HAIR?? AND ITS CURLY???
Jungwon apologizes for coming in so late and makes his way to your seat with a cheeky yet embarrassed smile. âhi babyâ he quietly giggles putting his stuff down and looks up to you only for you to be completely shocked. âalright class we have nothing left for today so you may talk quietly till your next periodâ the teacher says to which you immediately turn to jungwon and ask âwhen did this happen?!â you say as your hand reaches up to his hair and run your finger through it softly. âjust last night..thats why i came in to late, i finished at around 2â he says and you notice just how tired he was with how slow he was talking and his eyes seem heavy.
âit looks really good on you tho. makes you even more cute and hotâ you say completely mesmerized now that you can fully process it all. His now blond hair, glasses, his cute smile and beautiful eyes. It made you fall more in live with him. âwhy donât you lay down and rest for the remainder of the class hm?â you ask him. He just hums and nods as he scoots closer to you and lays his head down on your arm thats on the desk and wraps an arm around your waist not forgetting to take off his glasses so they donât get damaged.
The whole time he was sleeping, you were running your fingers through his hair softly and rubbing his back softly at times hoping to soothe him and make sure he gets enough sleep to make it through the rest of the day. Surprisingly tho his hair was still super soft even after possible heavy bleaching. You had to ask for his hair routine..
Throughout the rest of the day, you couldnât take your eyes off of jungwon. Which wasnât hard since you were together in all your classes AND sat next to each other. âyouâre staring yk and youâre gonna miss everythingâ jungwon says with a cheeky smile as you stare at him with heart eyes. âi can just have your notesâ you say in a trance looking at him. He giggles at your state but continues taking notes knowing he will indeed give you his notes.
By the end on the day, you took basically no notes. You were completely focused on one thing and one thing only. Jungwon. The second you guys step foot outside, you immediately jumped on him and gave him a gentle yet tight hug and started peppering his face with kisses. âAHHHH youâre such a pretty boy. ily ily ily!!!!â you say and by now jungwons face was quite red. All the attention youâve been giving him today was amazing yes. He loved it. But it was too much for his heart to handle, so it was easy for him to fold in front you. âi love you too but can it wait till weâre out of everyone elseâs view?â its not that heâs embarrassed about you showing your love to him. Itâs the fact that hes so red right now. Thats whats embarrassing.
Too bad for him, that didnât stop you. You made it all the way home, hand in hand, you going on and one about how his new look was absolutely perfect on him. âstay at my house for a bit?!â you said excitedly knowing heâd say yes and end up sleeping over. Thank goodness it was friday. âwhen do i ever decline to that inviteâ he smiles as you lead him into your house all the way to your room.
You both change clothes, him always having clothes left over at your house to the point you bought extra drawers just for him for how often hes over and you changing into one of his sweatshirts and your sweatpants. You decided to stay in your room and watch a movie. Immediately you pull him onto your bed, he got closer and laid on top of you, head in the crook of your neck. âso..what do you truly think of my hair my loveâ he smiles tiredly sort of knowing what youâre going to say.
âomg i love it. it looks absolutely perfect on you and the glasses too. you look so cute yet so hot. I LOVE IT!!â you ramble about how good his new look is. He smiles into your neck happy you like it. âreally? cuz i didnât think it looked good at all, felt really weirdâ he voiced out his worries a bit. You this whole time had your fingers running through his hair, moved in closer to him if that was even possible and gave him a kiss on his head. âno i think anything you do, you will always look handsome in my eyesâ you smiled into his hair. âi love you jungwonâ you move some hair from his face. âi love you too prettyâ he leans up a bit to give you a quick kiss on the lips then back to his position falling asleep almost immediately. Blonde jungwon will forever have you weak in the knees.

teeny tidbits: jungkook gets hurt during practice and the only thing y/n has in her backpack are miffy bandaidsÂ
âșÂ pairing;Â quarterback!jungkook x librarian!y/n
âșÂ genre;Â university!au!!! sfw!! soft soft fluff!! jungkook and y/n are so fond of each other wowowow it actually makes me physically nauseous please get a ROOM
âșÂ wordcount; 1k
»»ââââ- â„ ââââ-««
âow!â jungkook hisses, wincing as you dab against the scrape on his arm with a cotton ball thatâs been drenched in a generous amount of warm water, âowâŠâ
âsorry, i knowâŠâ you mutter, trying your best to be as gentle as possible as you reduce your pressure (you were already going feather light but jungkook has always been a big baby with cuts and scrapes) and toss the soiled cotton ball aside before reaching for another one in the big plastic bag, âi canât believe you guys donât have a proper first-aid kit.âÂ
âitâs taehyungâs fault, coach asked him to restock it and apparently he completely forgot.â jungkook snorts, glancing down at the rusty tin box sitting on the counter next to him - you managed to find it after about fifteen minutes of searching the changing rooms but you were more than disappointed when you opened the rusty old box to find practically nothing but dustÂ
but if this were a real emergency, jungkook would be bleeding out on the ground and all youâd have to try to save your boyfriend is a single q-tip and one dried out packet of rubbing alcohol
luckily, you always carry a mini first aid kit with you in your backpack - last winter you slipped on a rogue patch of ice and ended up falling to the ground, your poor books sliding across the sidewalk and your palms all scraped up and bloody, so ever since then, youâve been carrying your little pouch with you in case of emergenciesÂ
gauze, bandaids, cotton balls, surgical tape, and some hard candies - you have it all!!Â
âexplain to me again what the hell you guys were trying to do out there?â
âtaehyung said that when one sense goes dark, the other ones become way stronger and we wanted to test that theory out-âÂ
âso you did this on purpose-â you pause, your eyebrows knitting together in confusion, âyou blindfolded yourself and ran around the football field on purpose.âÂ
âi thought i had better instincts than this!â jungkook gestures to himself, his kneecaps all scraped up along with a few scratches on his arms, âand my head hurtsâŠâÂ
watching jungkook run into the goal post full force wouldâve been comical if it werenât for the fact that that was literally what happened - he ran full force into a damn goal post and thank god he was wearing a helmet otherwise he probably wouldâve knocked himself clean out
âi donât wanna study anymore.â jennie huffs, leaning back against the benches behind you guys as she props her elbows up on them, âcanât we do something else to pass the time while theyâre practicing?âÂ
âi donât wanna study anymore either, but weirdly enough this is the only time i can really concentrate.â you shrug, keeping your eyes on your laptop as your fingers continue to dance across your keyboard, âis this the only google presentation the professor shared with us this week? i swear thereâs another one-âÂ
âall you care about are google presentations and taking notes-â
âitâs coming up to finals season, of course all i care about are google presentations and taking notes-âÂ
KONK!
âoh, shit-!â you look up when you hear taehyungâs loud laugh travel over to where youâre sitting, your eyes squinting slightly when you notice that jungkook on the ground, âwait, that was kinda sick, actually, we should do that again-ââ
âaw, gross!â jungkook gets up from the ground and shakes himself off and thatâs when you notice crimson smeared across his legs as he hobbles towards your general direction, taehyung trailing behind him, âyuck, thereâs dirt and shit in my cuts-â
âoh my god, jungkook!â you slap your laptop shut and set it aside, grabbing your backpack and practically sprinting down the steps, âare you okay?! what the hell happened?!âÂ
and thatâs how you ended up here - patching up your idiot boyfriend with nothing but miffy bandaids because thatâs all the store was selling (it was miffy or hello kitty, and youâve always loved miffy) - and youâve practically used up the entire pack at this pointÂ
âi just think that you have to think about whether or not an idea sounds stupid before deciding to do it.â you huff, tossing another soiled cotton ball into the bin before peeling open the thin wrapper for the bandaid
âwell, how am i supposed to know if an idea is stupid or not?â
âyou didnât think blindfolding yourself and running around a football field was stupid?â
âno, i thought it was an innovative training technique thatâs been undiscovered by coaches in the world of football!â jungkook perks up, sticking a finger up into the air before shutting his eyes so that you can tend to the little scratch above his eyebrowÂ
you settle in between his legs from where heâs sitting up on the counter and he instinctively reaches down to place both his hands a little above your waist before giving you a squeeze, âthank you, by the way.â he says softly, and you canât help help but smile before leaning forward to press a little kiss to the corner of his mouthÂ
âyouâre welcome. iâm gonna need a new box of miffy bandaids because you literally used up the entire thing.â you canât help but frown as you place the last one on his brow bone, âon the bright side, you look really cute with miffy bandaids, so i donât regret giving them all to you. but you seriously have to stop trying to kill yourself during practice.âÂ
âiâm more of a hello kitty guy, to be so real.â jungkook opens his eyes, leaning down to give you a quick kiss before pulling away, âand you worry too much about me.â
âyou worry too little!âÂ
đïž ask y/n what kind of candy is in her first-aid pouch (talk to my characters!)Â
đ why not explore the rest of the library while you're here? (go say hi to yoongi and y/n in la vie en bonsai, they miss you!)Â
đ« or perhaps you want something shorter to read? (drabbles and mini series!)
đ or something even shorter? (teeny tidbits like this!)Â

Being in an Established Relationship with Jayce and Viktor âą Headcanon
(Gif not mine)
Request: I am desperate for more Jayce x Viktor x Reader content! Would I be able to request headcanons for what an established relationship with them would be like?? đ„ș -- @spatialwave
Warnings: gn!reader, first time writing arcane and jayvik so I hope it's all good!!
A.N: Andy (@spatialwave) has inspired me so much so PLEASE go read their beautiful writing! You need to understand I got this request LAST NIGHT, I just had to bang it out I was writing like a FIEND. I loved writing this so much, I hope to write more in the future!! Hope you enjoy!
âą
Being in a relationship with Jayce and Viktor is like being a part of an old married couple that simultaneously bickers all the time and is just falling in love all over again every day
Jayce is like a ray of sunshine on a summer afternoon
He's clingy--but not overwhelmingly so. Jayce just has to have some sort of body part on either of you at all times (except in the lab unless he's feeling especially in love that day)
He loves putting his arms around your waist, chest pressed up against your back and lips ghosting over your neck. Jayce is a bit more subtle with Viktor, since your other partner prefers smaller touches, so their fingers are always tangled together. Some days Jayce will even sneak his hand into Vik's back pocket, making the slimmer boy light up red from the neck up
Jayce is also the type of boyfriend that will always have you two on his mind. He picks a flower from someone's garden to give it to you because "the vibrancy of its color reminded me of your eyes," or buys a little knick knack for Viktor because "I thought you would find it hilariously stupid" (Viktor will put it on his already cluttered desk at the lab because Jayce was right, it is stupidly funny)
Jayce will always get an A for effort because even if he can't remember how you like your coffee or tea, it's the thought that counts
Has bigass puppy dog eyes and he fucking knows how to use them against you two
All he has to do is look between you and Vik with those golden eyes are you're both putty in his hands
Speaking of being putty in hands, Jayce is the cuddler of the relationship
Which is good because he is also the space heater of the relationship too
Will basically have Viktor curled up on one side and you on the other. His face will be buried in Viktor's hair, placing sleepy kissed on his scalp. His fingers will rub circles on the small of your back. Jayce is the best pillow and blanket in all of Piltover AND Zaun
Viktor, on the other hand, is like the moon at midnight
He loves the both of you in a slightly different way than Jayce
While Jayce is more touchy and exuberant with his love, Vik is certainly more subtle, though that doesn't mean he loves you two any less
He is actually exceptionally smitten with you and Jayce. It's like his walls come crashing down whenever you two are with him. He could come back from having a disagreement about a project with Heimer, with his jaw clenched and brows furrowed, and then he'll spot you and Jayce in your shared apartment and it all melts away
Viktor isn't carrying the world on his shoulders with his partners around him. He knows that you guys will lift the hefty weight from his shoulders
While Viktor isn't as touchy ad you or Jayce, he shows his presence in other ways.
Viktor will always have at least one eye on you at all times. It's not that he doesn't trust you two (on the contrary, you two are the only people he trusts with his life), he just needs to know his lovers are ok
Jayce could be tinkering with something in the lab and 50% of Viktor's attention will be on him. Making sure he doesn't shock himself or mix the wrong chemicals together. And if that does ever happen, Viktor drops everything to help him. He masks his worry with wit, but the mask is transparent for you and Jayce
Viktor is also the one with the extreme attention to detail. Your coffee or tea is always right and always the right temperature in the morning. A scarf is always hanging on the coat rack near the front door on chilly days for you. Puts a bookmark in the book you're reading when you unexpectedly fall asleep reading on the couch
He is so big on being a gentleman. Will open doors for you two, pull out seats during a nice dinner. Also is the type to lift up your hand so he can kiss your knuckles (he knows this drives you wild and he struggles to hide a smirk at your heated face)
The three of you are witty and biting and funny in your own ways, quips are basically thrown around every hour of the day. The day isn't complete without someone rolling their eyes. Teasing knows no bounds--the apartment, the lab, a fancy dinner, in front of councilmen and women--doesn't matter
Every day you feel lucky to have these two as your partners, you really hit the jackpot with them. They're caring and attentive and loving in ways no one else is
And they feel the exact same way

Engraved Jewelries
"Oh my god Max! You seriously didn't have to" you beamed happilyâ gently taking the small box from his hands and transferring it to yours.
You then rested the box to your lap and opened it at ease. As soon as you saw the content inside, you felt your whole body freeze for a second. Your eyes widened in disbelief and mouth slightly hung open from shock.
Max got you this diamond necklace. Real diamonds might i add, that had the two of yourâs picture carved in it.
Your gaze shifted from the present and then to his standing figureâ only to see him have this satisfied smug look on his face.
It was another casual day so you didn't expect to be given such priceless gift. Max always does these things where he gives you expensive stuff without needing to have an occasion attached.
Most of the time he gives you jewelries that are somehow connected to him. Itâs either bracelets that has his initials, rings with your carved nicknames, or earrings that has a small number on it. The number on his racing jacket of course.
For Max those expensive gifts that he had given you are just âsmall trinketsâ to show everyone that you are his and only his.
The price doesnât matterâ nothing is expensive when it comes to spending things for his lady.
You settled the gift on the table and hurriedly went to himâ hugging him tight as a sign of your appreciation and gratitude.
âThank you so much loveâ you spoke. Slowly leaning in on him and closing the gap between you two.
Max leaned in and reciprocated your kiss, âAnything to make my girl happy.â
âŠ
Leaves meeting early
It was a busy afternoon for max. He had a tons of meeting scheduled one after the other.
Right now, Max was currently in his fifth for the day.
He was bored and tired to say the leastâ seeing how his mind was occupied with nothing else but you. He wanted nothing more but to stay and lay down beside you.
As he stared off the distance, his phone suddenly rang out loud; causing his employees to stop mid conversation and shift their focus to the ringing.
Max took notice and grabbed his phone infront of him. He looked at the screen and saw your number calling. His once bored demeanor changed into an excited one.
One of the employees coughed making Max stare back at them. All their eyes fixiated on him.
Max quickly answered the call and put his phone near his ear. He then flickered his handsâ signaling for them to continue.
âHi pretty, how are you?â Max answered gently over the phone.
To which one of his employees heard and was shock as hell to hear something that his cold boss would never even dare mutter in their workplace.
You coughed over the other end with a hint of sniffle, âi am good baby, just caught a little cold.â
Max hurriedly asked you a bunch of questionsâ bombarding you with endless concerns that made your head throb a little.
âŠ
After calling and talking back and forth for about 10 minutes; you answered back at him.
âItâs fine hon, iâll be better in no time i promise. You should get back to work. Call you later okay? I love youâ and with that, max ended the call, but not before saying i love you back.
He then took his attention back to the meeting at hand and swiftly corrected the position of his tie. âI think that would be all, letâs rain check this, shall we?â
His secretary was stunned and was quick to react, âbut sir, we need to get this report done by tomorrowâ
Max only rolled his eyes and pinch the bridge of his nose. âI have other important matters to attend to, youâll just have to handle this one.â
The secretary was too afraid to answer back and just nodded in agreement.
He stood up and left the meeting room and drove over to your apartmentâ showering you with endless love and care.
âŠ
Knowing you well
It was your time of the monthâ your lower area hurts so bad that you had to compress your stomach with your pillow.
As if on cue; Max had held on a mini tray that has all the essentials you need. (Heating pad, sweets, and coffee).
âHere my love, put this thereâ max spokeâ handing the hot compress over to you.
You then took it and smiled weekly at him; having no energy to move your whole body and reflex.
Max went over to your side and settled the tray to your side table. Then nestled between your pillowsâ snuggling you closer to him.
You let out a hum and scooted even closer, âHmm thank you babyâ
âAlways here for you beautiful, by the way i have your favorite movie set up. Should i play it?â
You shook your head a no and just closed your eyes, âMaybe in a minute, i want to stay like this for a while.â
Max only snuggled closer in responseâ kissing your head to the side. Making the two of you as comfortable in each others embrace.
Even though max is cold and scary looking, you love this side of him that you can only see. How he makes you feel so special without him knowing. Itâs just those little things that make you happy and content.
âŠ
Thats all!! Hope you liked that guys. Sorry for not posting for a while, senior high made my life hell for the past few months. But iâll be updating again!! đđ

hello dear!! i dont know if your are still taking requests or not, but if do you i would really love to see you write something fluff with a drunk daryl and reader, where he totally forgot that they are dating and just start acting shy and awkward around her, i know its cliche but i really love how you write daryl and think it would be so cute to see something like that written by youđ, but i totally understand if you are busy, i hope you are having a great day!đ„°
A drunk Daryl grows uncharacteristically shy around you, forgetting for a moment that you're together.
author notes: I just want to say its not v common for people who are drinking to forget who their s/o's are, but anything for you lolol, enjoy!!! x
thank you for the love!!!
The Alexandria dinner party is louder than usual, laughter spilling out into the quiet night. Someone had insisted on opening the last few bottles of wine, and you watch with amusement as Daryl, leaning against the far wall, swirls the red liquid in his glass like itâs some kind of trap.
âNever took you for a wine guy,â you tease, stepping closer. His eyes dart to yours, and the flush on his face deepens. You figure the alcoholâs working its magic, though Daryl had always been shy about these kinds of thingsâespecially in a crowd.
âDonât even taste right,â he mutters, setting the glass on a nearby table like it might bite him.
You grin. âThen why drink it?â
He shrugs, glancing at you sideways. The usual ease between you feels a little... off. His gaze flicks to your face, then away again, like heâs avoiding something. You tilt your head, trying to figure out whatâs wrong, when his voice breaks the quiet.
âYou look real nice tonight.â
The words come out low and shy, almost like he hadnât meant to say them. You blink, surprised, but before you can respond, he fumbles to add, âNot that ya donât always, but... I mean, yeah.â
âDaryl,â you say, trying to catch his eye. Heâs looking anywhere but at you now, cheeks burning. âAre you okay?â
ââM fine,â he grumbles, crossing his arms. But the way he shifts on his feet, the nervous way he rubs the back of his neckâitâs not like him. You step closer, studying him, until something clicks.
âOh my god.â You canât stop the laugh that bubbles up. âYou donât remember, do you?â
His brows furrow, lips parting in confusion. âRemember what?â
You canât believe it. âYouâre acting like we just met or something.â
Daryl stares at you, his eyes swimming with haze, but he blinks hard, trying to piece it all together. His eyes widen slightly. âWait... weâreâ?â
âYes, Daryl,â you say, trying to suppress another laugh. âWeâre together, at least I thought so,â
The realization hits him like a brick wall. His mouth opens, then closes, and for a second he just stares at you, dumbfounded. âShit,â he mutters, rubbing a hand over his face. âIâuh... forgot.â
âObviously,â you tease, stepping even closer until youâre standing right in front of him. âShould I be worried youâre forgetting about me already?â
âNah,â he says quickly, his voice quiet but insistent. âJust... too much wine. âS all.â
You bite your lip, trying not to smile too wide at how bashful he looks. The Daryl you know is rarely this unguarded, and itâs endearing. But as you watch him glance down at youâhis face still flushed and his nerves practically visibleâyou catch something softer in his expression. His hand drifts to the back of his neck again, but this time, a crooked grin follows.
âYouâre... somethinâ else,â he murmurs under his breath, almost to himself. âMust be the luckiest som' bitch,â
The words catch you off guard, and warmth blooms in your chest. âDamn right you are,â you say softly, but thereâs no teasing in your tone anymore.
His lips twitch, and he finally dares to meet your gaze. âGuess I donât mind that.â
You smirk, leaning up to press a quick kiss to his cheek. The move makes him freeze for half a second before his face turns a deeper shade of red, but his hand brushes yours in a subtle, almost instinctive gesture. Even drunk, even shy, Daryl Dixon couldnât hide how much he cared.
âCâmon,â you say, tugging lightly at his hand. âLetâs get you some water before you forget anything else."

I understand it, too.
I genuinely do find Solas attractive, albeit in a different way. I would love to romance him with a different character someday---I just wish we got Solas for who he truly was from the start of that romance or that the truth had come out earlier. I'm good at avoiding spoilers, and I hadn't known he would betray the Inquisitor, nor had I even known you couldn't romance him as a human. I had actually gone in fully expecting Mira to flirt with him a little (I knew nothing about Cullen's romance at the time and had always heard Solas was the way to go), but that's simply not how their dynamic played out anyway.
I have no doubt his and Lavellan's is an enthralling story in DA:I, and I would at some point like to experience it. I fully understand the appeal. I would fully be there myself with the right character and mindset.
Solas is captivating. He's someone you could talk with for hours on end about the most abstract concepts, but there's always that small sense of him keeping his distance (even before the topic ever comes up). Even I knew there was more he wasn't saying by the way he dodged questions and some of the dialogue between him and other companions. Though for someone who didn't know better, that could've simply meant he was far more powerful than he let on, knew more than he let on, likely older than he seemed, and wanted to protect himself. The whole, "elven god of lies" thing was a bit more of a twist than I'd anticipated. A secret, ancient elf hiding some things I can do, especially if those layers get peeled back over time. I'm less sure about elven Loki.
I think it truly would've been interesting had it gone a bit more in the direction of Children of Fallen Gods/Mother of Death and Dawn (which, some have noticed, draws some considerable parallels to Solavellan in ways that can't be considered coincidence). Without bringing too many spoilers to the forefront of the conversation, there is some...mutual awareness and corruption that occurs between Totally-Not-Solas and Totally-Not-Lavellan. The power dynamic's more balanced and decision making more...comparable to some degree.
(I am not, by the way, blaming Solas or pointing any fingers at anyone regarding their power dynamics in DA:I).
Solas is the guy whose beauty (if you lean that way at all) isn't quite as noticeable until you get into a really deep discussion with him and realize your heart's beating a little too quickly and you're definitely sitting closer to him now than you were before. He draws you in. He piques your curiosity a bit too much.
I truly do not factor in looks at all (within reason---I'm blatantly partial to humans, elves, fae, vampires, etc.) when I play games with romance options. Solas (in theory; I played as a human, which negates the option) would've been every bit as high up on my to-romance list as Cullen. In truth, he was higher just because he was the one I knew so many were obsessed with. Just because Cullen caught my eye faster didn't mean he and my Inquisitor would've been a good match.
But wow, were they.
I easily lean more towards the "Solas-is-attractive" camp in general. Honestly, I love the fact that the romance options in DA:I were so different and unique from each other. Any players who chose to pursue a romance could find one that suited their characters perfectly. I like that there are a range of personalities, dynamics, and looks, and that there's good variety.
For me personally, nothing in that particular game will ever top Cullen's just because it's so incredibly hyper-specific to every little thing I love and value most even in real life. It's perfect for Mira's story; she is, admittedly, a lot like me. I couldn't believe a romance like that even existed in a game (and you already know why/the many layers I'm referring to).
Yet I also know there are plenty who wouldn't like his romance at all and vastly prefer Solas (or someone else in general).
That's the beauty of it, though.
But, yeah..."ugly?" That's not even a word I'd consider for Solas at all.

Thought: Postwar!Levi after you, his wife, get pregnant with his child (F!reader)
CW: mentions of sex and childbirth, nothing explicit, you guys have a girl
Levi was nervous, a little scared too, but most importantly, overjoyed the moment you told him the news. You were his wife after all, the same person who fought through hell and back alongside him in the survey corps against almost every threat, supported him, loved him through everything, and now you were giving him a child after the war ended.
Honestly, i personally headcanon this pregnancy to be a happy little accident. His recovery was going steady with your constant love and support, and maybe a passionate night took place with soft, tender and gentle lovemaking, for a little boost of happiness and a need for intimacy between you, and boom. You're with child. The surprise was unplanned, but never unwelcome.
Levi was extremely overjoyed the whole pregnancy. He helped build the little crib that was placed near the bed, he helped cook healthy and tasty meals for you, came with you for doctor's appointments, did his research about pregnancy and birth. He would shower you, his lovely wife and soon-to-be-mama with affection and care, speaking to the little bun baking in the oven, making sure your little one recognised his voice even before the baby was born.
"hi there little brat, it's your papa speaking. Don't give your mama any trouble, you hear me, brat? Just keep growing. We can't wait to meet you."
His stoic presence softened tenfold when he routinely cuddled up to you and kissed your growing bump that housed the baby inside, safe and secure.
He was insanely protective. With the amount of people that Levi has lost in his life, i feel like he would be a bit paranoid to some extent, wanting you and the baby to be safe. He watched over you while you sleep, rubbed your feet, massaged your back, made sure your pregnancy cravings were satisfied and was always ready to whip up something in the kitchen, making sure it is healthy. He forbade you from doing anything physically strenuous, although sometimes he went a bit overboard but it came from a place of love, care and protectiveness.
"No y/n, sit back down. You're already nurturing the little brat in your body, you're not going to do anything else. Now, be a good girl, and eat this fruit salad i made you."
He was a bit nervous, and a little afraid because he never had a father-figure growing up in the underground, all he had was his lovely mother Kuchel who didn't live long, and well...Kenny would not count as a loving father figure, he thought. He often worried, thinking whether the baby would be scared of his scars or not, whether he would be able to make his baby feel loved or not. He would only feel reassured, when you would soothe his anxieties away. Regardless of his fears, he would place a hand on your baby bump and vow to himself that he would be the best father ever to your both's child.
He had held your hand through the entire process of child-birth, his heart breaking with every pained cry of yours but also a sense of admiration filling his chest. You were going to make him a father. He kissed your forehead as he let the professionals do the work down below, as he whispered soothing reassurances into your ears.
''You're doing great, love. Just a few more pushes and our baby will be here. You're so strong. I love you. I'm here.''
Every single worrisome thought vanished from his head when he held your both's child for the first ever time in his hands. His child. His precious little girl. He placed a gentle kiss on your forehead, thanking you for everything, your support, and the sweet little baby girl you've given birth to. He felt a rush of emotions, his eyes welling up with tears as he looked at his baby daughter resting in his arms, wrapped in the small blanket. She was so tiny, so precious. He swore to himself, that he would stop at nothing to make his little girl feel loved and safe, and would protect her with all he had.
''I love you already, you're such a cute little brat. I promise i'll keep you safe, Kuchel, my little princess.''

Once Upon A Time chapter 5
<first> <prev> <next>
Jason Todd knew it was only a matter of time until his bubble burst and one of his brothers found out what he was getting up to. He was just hoping he could pull it off for a little longer. Even though the pit still reacted at the strangest times, he felt calmer, more normal, than he had in years. He wanted to hold it close and make sure nobody could take it from him.
From Replacement: you went back to college? Does B know?
Fuck.
â
Danny had been wary at first. Rich boy Jason Todd-Wayne in his college classes. The man was older than Jazz, though not by much, and a freshman with him. Either the guy was a bad influence or Danny just had really shitty luck.
He and the universe both knew the answer to than one really. But 60 bucks a week to reteach the guy basic math and Jason always gave him dinner in the deal? Danny wasnât going to look that particular gift horse in the mouth. If there was one thing Danny had forgotten during the past almost two years it was how hungry his human side got. Not having money and being on the run meant opportunities to eat were few and far between.
What Danny didnât expect was how sarcastic and assholish the rich guy could be. He loved trading snark. Danny assumed that it came from them both having older siblings. But between that and the half formed core that was slowly shoring up, Danny found himself growing attached. He had missed having friends. Getting to talk to Sam, Tucker and rarely Jazz through a conspiracy message board wasnât enough. Most of the time it was just a way to make sure that nobody had been captured by the GIW. They had a way to pass longer messages but to do that too often would be suspicious.
âSo I donât get it,â Danny said, gesturing at Jason with some fries almost a month into tutoring, âWhat do people actually do at Galas? The tabloid pics just show a bunch of people in uncomfortable looking suits standing around with champagne.â
ââŠ.thats really it. Itâs boring as shit.â Jason kicked his chair back on two legs, leaning against the wall. âIf I liked you less Iâd invite you.â
âIf you liked me less?â
âOh yeah. Because then youâd have to meet my brothers, the assorted not quite adopteds, my dad and scarier yet, our butler.â Danny choked on his laugh.
âYour butler is the scary one in that situation?â
âAlfred is like a ghost. Always there when you turn around.â Jason put on the accent âMaster Jason, you really must come home more. Nobody quite enjoys my cooking like you.â He let the chair legs settle on the floor. âNow imagine that from behind you in a dark kitchen at two am while youâre half drunk and trying to make a sandwich.â
âOkay, yeah, I could see it being that scary. My sister wasâŠ.â Shit he hadnât meant to mention Jazz. âShe was the only one who cared sometimes.â May as well rip that bandaid off.
âYeah?â Jason asked, taking a drink from his coffee cup. âDidnât know you had a sister.â
âMy family and I donât see each other anymore. Itâs for the best.â He hoped Jason wouldnât ask more questions, because âmy parents sold me out to the government that only knew where I was because of the Justice League which is why I hate them and by association your dad, and now my sister is in hiding in a different state with a new identityâ was way too difficult to explain. âI left before they could kick me out.â
Danny watched Jasonâs face twist into a frown. âBigots suck. Sorry man.â
âYeahâŠ. WellâŠâ Danny busied himself with finishing his burger. Then, once he chewed and swallowed. âWait. Is your dad the one that fell into the champagne tower last year?â
Jason groaned, âheâs not always like that I promise.â
âNo I get it. A weird âFamily Friendâ invited us to his fancy party so he could hit on my mom once. I accidentally on purpose took out the entire buffet table including a cheese fountain so we had to go home.â
âCheese fountain?â
âYou know those chocolate fountains?â Danny asked. Jason nodded. âLike that, but with fondue cheese instead. And before you ask why, all I can say is it was in Wisconsin.â
Jason watched him with an unreadable expression for a moment, and Danny assumed he was processing it, because when the expression broke, Jason was laughing.
He looked so much younger when he laughed like that, and Danny remembered that they had both had, in their own ways, a rough life. âYeah. I know. I was finding cheese in the weirdest places for weeks.â
âDid you get invited back?â Dannyâs heart ached with the fact that a month or so later, Everything Fell Apart.
âNo⊠IâŠâ he cut himself off, remembering the horrified looks his parents gave him as their weapons, the ones he fixed, were turned against the âbeastâ that âpossessedâ their son. The looks mimicking the ones they gave him when the party screeched to a halt as he did his best impression of a Scooby Doo villain being unmasked. The screams of shock turning into ones of horror. The -
â-anny? Danny?â He blinked and shook his head.
âWhat? Oh, sorry.â He took another drink from the coffee, emptying the cup. âNo. I never was asked back. You done?â He looked at their empty plates and grabbed the tray. âWe should get to the library. Though Iâm sure someone as good looking as you has plenty, these x-es wonât find themselves.â He was overcompensating for zoning out now, words coming out faster than normal.
âYeah⊠are⊠you okay?â Jason asked, as Danny bussed their tray and grabbed his backpack, a backpack bought by his tutoring money. A tutoring gig he desperately did not want to fuck up with his own bullshit.
âMe? Fine. More than. I just zone out sometimes. Come on.â Dannyâs words were still coming out too fast. He took a few breaths during the couple seconds Jason took getting his things, trying to ground himself as much as possible. He was going to be normal. He was going to be normal if it killed him. Again.
The walk to the library was quiet and Danny was thankful for that. He needed to get his head on straight if he was going to be any help to Jason and he still had his own homework to do after. As they walked in, both Danny and Jason instinctively looked towards the desk where Barbara usually worked, but she wasnât there, some other guy was checking in books with quiet beeps.
Danny had learned over the last month that while Dick, Tim and Damian were Jasonâs official siblings, Barbara was an unofficial one and he liked her the most.
It made sense, since she didnât seem to pry into Jasonâs life the way Jazz would have if she was here. Not that he would have minded her prying for how much he missed her, but four years ago he would have hated it.
â
Jason knew the haunted and hunted look that had settled into Dannyâs eyes. The way he trailed off into something vacant. How his breathing seemed to get stuck in his chest. Which is why he tried to interrupt the cycle before he could spiral. Something big happened to him, and Jason knew he wouldnât want to break down in a cafe in front of people.
Thankfully he seemed to snap out of it quickly, instead overcompensating into energetic. The message was clear. âDonât ask about what just happened.â Carefully, Jason let Danny lead him into the library, aware of his positioning and making sure not to follow too far behind or loom too much. Considering he had at least six inches on Danny, that last part was hard, but he tried.
He could feel the pit spiraling in him, circling and coiling like a dragon deep in his chest. Itching to doâŠ. Something. It wasnât punch or claw or fight. This was new. He didnât like it in the slightest.
He looked over to where Babs usually was, then remembered she had a class, criminal justice degree, how apt, as he and Danny went towards what was now their spot. Jason found he had the sudden impulse to pull Dannyâs chair out for him, and shoved that particular useless idea back down into the abyss it belonged in.
â
Danny looked over at Jason who stood at the edge of the table lookingâŠ. Angry? Confused? and pulled out his own books. âI promise, my zoning out isnât contagious.â He said, looking up at Jason and kicking the chair across from him out from under the table for Jason to sit. He gave a wry smile, âif it was, I donât think anyone in my high school would have made it.â
Jason snorted a laugh, snapping out of whatever thoughts he had been thinking. Jason pulled the chair out further and sat, sitting more comfortably than he used to. More of the true Jason, Danny was realizing, less of the person he was supposed to be. In another lifetimeâŠ. But no. He couldnât⊠not while he was being hunted. It wouldnât be fair to Jason to have to hide such a huge part of himself and his past.
Not to mention he hadnât ever come out to Jazz and his friends. Well he hadâŠ. But more in the âhey Iâm dead but not reallyâ way and less in the âso I like guysâ way.
But in spite of those barriers, this tentative friendship with Jason was enough to keep him happy.
Which made the next kick in the teeth from the universe completely expected.
All he had wanted was to walk home in peace. Sure it was almost midnight, in Gotham, but still. He made it most of the way, and was slinking through the Bowery when it happened.
Guys with dark clothes and weapons were suddenly in front of him. He turned only to see more at his back. There had to be five in total? Or was it six? Danny didnât have time to count.
âHey guys.â He hedged, muscles tensing as he raised his hands to show he wasnât a threat. âDonât mind me, Iâm just trying to get home. Long walk and all that. If I could justâŠ. Scooch past you?â Danny took a step to do just that and the lead goon swung at him with a baton.
He hopped back slightly, dodging the hit when it came. âNot a chance. Boss needs someâŠ. Help with his latest ideas. Youâre coming with us.â
Danny ran through his options in his head. Option 1: get kidnapped. Option 2: get the shit kicked out of him. Option 3: beat the shit out of them and get labeled as a possible bat to be or possible rogue to be. Option 4: go fully ghost and either escape unscathed but wind up more firmly on the GIWâs radar.
Option two or three would wind up happening, because he wasnât going to put himself at the mercy of the Bat-ass again, and he wasnât going to offer himself up on a silver platter to the GIW.
The moment one tried to grab him, Danny dodged out of the way, and that seemed to bring the goons on him en masse. They seemed well practiced, but considering it was Gotham, there wasnât a big surprise there. The next few minutes were a flurry of elbows and knees, punches and kicks, batons and clubs.
Danny would dodge and counter, disarm one and fling their weapon across the street. He would have sore ribs and bruises from his elbows to his knuckles come morning but he was slowly winnowing them down. He had a brief thought about the conservation of ninjutsu, as the fewer goons there were the stronger they seemed to get. The realistic answer was they were less concerned with hurting each other when there were fewer of them, he knew that. But everything was more fun with ninjas.
When there were three left, one threw a punch that connected with his nose. There was a pop and crunch and a hot rush of blood down his face even before the pain set in. He spat out the blood that collected in his mouth from the way his head snapped back when he was punched. Another one came at him, and his own years of training caught the guyâs arm, judo throwing them into another look and sending them both careening into a wall. The move was trickier with gravity, but he made it work.
Danny looked up at the last remaining goon. He grinned, teeth too sharp and stained with his own blood, eyes glowing just the faintest green. âRun.â
They did.
Unfortunately for the goon, they ran smack into the chest of one Batman.
