I need to post something somewhere about how I’m finally, FINALLY, able to play Dragon Age 2 again after not having been able to play it for roughly 4 years.

I need to scream out that I truly missed this game more than I realized— it being the only one out of the current DA games that I wasn’t able to play. One reason was because I was forced to uplift my life and toxic family members put all of mine and my husband’s things in storage while he was still in the hospital. I didn’t get my PS3 back until like 2021.

Before I got the PS3 back, I somehow (by a miracle perhaps) got my laptop, working beautifully, I might add. So I tried to get DA2 on EA Origins. Screen kept going black. Couldn’t do ANYTHING and I’m pretty sure I cried.

Finally got my PS3 back, but my toxic family didn’t put any of the cords with the electronics they belonged to, so I wasn’t able to even start up the PS3 until 2022. Started it up and put in DA2 aaaand the sound on the PS3 stopped working. I couldn’t hear the epic beginning of Cassandra interrogating Varric!!

Needless to say, I was giving up hope on ever playing Hawke again…

Then I find out from a friend that DA2 was on Steam… had been there since 2020?! Steam works beautifully on my laptop, so I had hope!

Hubby and I haven’t been doing great financially… so I held off getting it, even though I wanted it sooooo badly…

My in-laws gave me birthday money and when we were at a place to splurge without it hurting us terribly… I got DA2 on steam and hoped with all my being that it would work.

It works and I can play it again 😭 I can romance Anders again and just have fun again!!

I have a couple of mods— I couldn’t get hair mods to work and mostly got mods to fix dialogues with characters and got the cosmetic mod to fix the elves weird skin tones (and Merrill looks like her DAO version!! She’s so cuuuute!)

I haven’t gotten to the part where Alistair shows up yet, because I have a mod that makes him look closer to DAO version— I’m so excited to see him. He’s a Grey Warden, so I gotta wait until the end of Act 2.

Tried an Anders mod because I missed his ponytail, buuuut it needed another mod (that for the life of me I couldn’t get to work) to make it work, so I scrapped that mod.

I almost recreated Xena Hawke, my very first Hawke, who was a rogue, romanced Anders, and Bethany became a Grey Warden. But, I had another character in mind…

I created Vanessa Hawke, who is based on my OC that’s in DA2, but isn’t Hawke. I basically created the character she would have created while playing the game (yes, this is a Modern Girl in Thedas fanfic, I started it back in like 2018, judge all you want 🤣) and now I’m hyper fixating on DA2.

I already am making plans to play Default Mage Garrett Hawke to go along with the world Vanessa finds herself in. The world state for DAO will be the Martyr one— because it has aspects I like versus the Hero of Ferelden world state.

Atrina Tabris is in no way connected to the DA2 fanfic. It’s easier this way and I don’t have to find a way to tie Vanessa and Atrina & Wanda together.

Vanessa actually retains all of her memories (as of currently) of the modern world. She, however, doesn’t have a photographic memory, so after some time has passed (because DA2 takes place over the course of I think 10 years), she won’t immediately remember that, say… Leandra’s fate in DA2 or things like that.

The story is all over the place right now, but it’s my comfort at the moment when I get a second to breathe, I play/write/draw.

I know I still have commissions to finish/start, and I’m so sorry for the wait. My brain is going all over the place currently so I’m trying to structure my time better.

I had restarted Atrina in DAO, because she gets the sweet story with Alistair, but apparently I want the heartache of Anders in DA2 at the moment. And I’m jumping between my DAO and DA2 fanfics…

I got so burned out on Dragon Age in 2019… but here I go again, deep diving 😅 hopefully this time I’ve learned to pace myself… hopefully

I just want to say that I didn't have any idea about the couple pic. I wanted to put him with one of my biases but then I had a sort of illumination and I went "wait...what if I put the maknaes here?" so now you get Hwon(nie) anb Jahan together because I make the rules.

Ok, enough with the explanation about the collage, there's nothing more to add...get the letter, hehe.

Ok, I want to start with one of my anecdotes. You can't have a birthday letter without my anecdotes after all.

So I want to start by saying that, when I got into Kingdom, I didn't believe that Jahan was the maknae of the group.

Yeah, I know you're all acting surprised right now, you're probably thinking that I'm very dumb for even thinking about this. And I was it actually, because I have this habit of never checking a group's profile while I'm getting to know them and I still do it to this day! I like following the vibes, ok? And also see if I'm right at the end because I need to boost my fragile ego I think it's fun.

But I know you're still asking "but why, Teresa, don't you see that little cutie bear you put in the collage here? That's maknae behaviour 101!" And my answer would be "yeah, you're right but don't act like he likes showing it 24/7, uh?"

In fact, in my defense, the main reason why I thought he was older was because of his serious face™. You know, the one he always shows in the MVs and when he performs and when he sings (most of the time) and most of the time. You know, that one. And if you're asking "what about the deep voice?" I would say "nah, I didn't think about it" although I should have considered it, since one of my men is Changkyun and he has a deep voice and he is, indeed, the maknae in Monsta X. I'm just dumb, ok?

And apart from all of this...well, guys, I'm gonna be honest with you, I don't know more about him. Yeah, I know, I can hear your heart shattering and going into pieces and you're probably crying right now but I didn't do the homework aka watching more extra stuff with him in it.

"Oh please, this is just an excuse you're making", uhm, it actually isn't an excuse, it's the truth! See, if there's one thing that makes Jahan special is that he's...mysterious.

Ok no, he's actually very shy like the biggest introvert ever but, you know, that still makes him ✨ mysterious ✨ you need to watch some more stuff from him before getting to know him or at least grasp some little details that you might miss.

But I want to add a little thing that I noticed and that thing is the duality that Jahan shows when he plays his character in the lore versus his actual self (for the few things I saw ofc). Ot don't know if the creative director did it on purpose but his character gave me the impression to be, yes, an able calculator (after all, he did a Coup d'État 🤣), but also kind of a straight forward one? I mean, he's a character that would kill if that means going further with the plan, so...

But then you see the actual Jahan and you see a shy boy who acts awkwardly in restaurants and he refuses to do aegyo because he doesn't think he's cute and shows his shyness every time he can like...boy, how do you do that? 😭 Teach me 😭

Dear Jahan, I'm sorry, I feel like someone who failed their exams while I'm writing this letter. I probably wasn't the best candidate to do that. But I want to assure you that there's a mutual of mine who deeply loves you. I don't know if it will read the letter because the timezones will probably not timezoning when I'll post the letter but I assure you that I never saw a fan loving an idol more than it. You would probably love it if you ever met at a fansign.

My birthday wish for you is very realistic. Remember when last year you started your series where you ate in a fancy restaurant and tasted delicious food? i meant to post this last week but I’ve been SUUUPER busy and tired lately😪🤧

gosh. what an amazing concert it was! i’m so glad I finally got the chance to see itzy live. I’ve been wanting to see em for a loooong long time now. I got so teary eyed when they played the fan project video commemorating their 5 year anniversary. as someone who casually admired chaeryeong since sixteen and ryujin since mix nine, it makes me so proud to see how far they’ve come since then. goodness. time really flies. it feels like yesterday when they debuted….. im actually quite emotional thinking about it. god I feel so old…I can’t believe it’s been NINE YEARS since sixteen🥴🤢

there were also several lia clips that popped up during the 5th anniversary fan project video and the audience cheered every time a clip of her was shown. that made my heart real soft. I hope she’s doing okay and I certainly hope she is aware of all the love and unwavering support for her even in her absence. 🥹💗

chaeryeong got so shy when everyone wished her a happy birthday. and her reaction was soooo freaking adorable 🥺 I wanted to run up to the stage and give her a hug AAAA OMG!!! I love chaereyeongie so much and I’m so proud of how far she’s come since sixteen. 🤧 it feels like I not only watched her grow but also grew up with her???? like I’m not even chae biased but I hold such a soft spot for her in my heart cuz of sixteen. I had to hold back my tears cuz I was getting so emotional when they wished her a happy birthday……..

the concert was fucking amazing. the seat next to me was empty which meant extra room for me to dance 😊🫰🏼I literally had THEE time of my life. I went fucking MENTAL when they performed kidding me, sneakers, loco, untouchable, wannabe, not shy, escalator, dynamite, as well as ryujin and yeji’s solos. good fucking god. i went absolutely insane for both of their solos. they’re so hot. 🤧 what an immaculate setlist. I just wished mitm and ting x3 were on there too.

and lemme just say……… crown on my head inspires me. the lyrics actually do move me. I was feeling depressed the other day and when I started playing crown on my head, I shed a couple of tears and felt better. the cherry on top is that I was also wearing a tiara as part of my concert outfit 🤣 ahaha……

also….I gotta mention….. one thing about jyp concerts is that they NEVERRRR disappoint!!! 💅🏼 the members and their stage presence is one thing. but the live band takes the performances to another level! having seen skz and twice live, I can attest that i fucking adore attending jyp concerts because of how epic the live bands are. JYP CONCERTS ARE 100% WORTH THE MONEY!!!

and of course the part you’ve all been waiting for - cute butch gurlie!!!!! If ya know ya know…..(see my enha and txt concert posts). THIS IS OUR THIRD CONCERT TOGETHER!!!!!🥹💗at this rate…might as well call these concerts DATES…..and how fitting is it that it’s on pride month!?!?? slay. goodness fucking gracious she is soooo fine. as usual, I tried not to drool when I looked at her. her outfit was gorgeous and was inspired by yeji’s butterfly outfit in the swipe mv 🤤 mine was inspired by the checkmate concept photos because yall know how much of a pink loving princess I am. I even wore a tiara too 💅🏼 I wore a pink shimmery eyeshadow look to match the outfit and tightlined/smudged kohl to add that sexy desi twist to it 🥰 if the eyes are the window to the soul, then I sure as heck hope she saw the window to my pink n’ sparkly, yet dark and hypnotic soul…🤪🫰🏼 lmao.

we were gonna have food together but my dumb ass decided to take too long to get ready 🤦🏻‍♀️and I really didn’t want her to wait so long to eat. so I just told her to go get food at her own pace if she wants. I FUCKED UP THERE YALL!!! 😭 I PROMISE ILL GET UP EARLIER AND GET READY FASTER THE NEXT TIME SHE AND I MEET. but fear not….everything else went well. 😊👍🏼

I also had a poster that said ‘yeji addractive’ (in reference to this iconic moment) cuz y’know…..yeji herself is addractive. LOL anyways, I showed my poster to cbg and she giggled. she said it was so cute 🥹 she took pics of me and everything. 🥹 d’aawwwweee gosh im so soft for her.

the venue was SO nice! it was my first time there and her second time there cuz she saw the rose there before. it had such a cozy vibe to it. once were inside the venue, we were actually quite early!!!! we had coffee together and talked for an hour straight about various topics and I enjoyed every second of it. she asked me about my dhol hobby and how the parade went and I showed her pics 🥹 she loved them and said she wished she was there 🥹

I also showed her pictures of myself from the night before that parade where I was at a volunteer event for my dhol troupe’s org and I was wearing an all green outfit - bright green jumpsuit + trench coat and my green jhumkas. and she was WOWed. she said i look really good and green and she loved my jhumkas 🥺🥺🥺🥺 and to top it all off, of COURSE I showed her pictures of the volunteer award I received from my dhol troupe’s org as a flex 💅🏼 as expected, she was impressed 🥰

also…..WE SAT IN THE SAME SECTION!!!! I didn’t even know this until the day of the concert. 😳holy fucking shit. it’s as if we just VIBE on the same wavelength or smth…..😔🫰🏼we sat in diff rows but it still felt nice that we were at least in the same section ahaha.

and to end things off, we even uber’d back to our places together 🥺 wished we could spend more time 2gether that night iykwim👇🏼😔👇🏼🤭 HAHA JKJKJKJK…..unless????😬 and she said that she’ll go to sleep once I text her that I’m home safely 🥺 we love a caring, chivalrous queenie 🥺💕
