I'm on chpt20 and I want to study SQQ like a bug. My man is flushed, hair down, robes literally falling off his shoulders, LBH on his lap playing with his hair and kissing him... and he finally cottons on to the fact that maybe this isn't how you have a platonic and important discussion. Enforces it for all of five seconds at which point LBH starts massaging his waist and SQQ is back to being like "yeah this is fine and normal". Amazing. Can't believe he insults the IQ of SQH's characters.

That moment when ………. your birthday party is in full swing with lots of eating, drinking and dancing by your close friends and family ……. the party had to be arranged for a week later than your actual birthday as your boyfriend was unable to attend anything on the day itself (due to club commitments) ………… but what had devastated you the most was when he had broken the bad news to you yesterday that he wouldn’t be able to attend the belated party either, as his sponsors ‘Nike’ had sprung a promotion event on him at the last minute …………. of course he knew you were upset and he was so apologetic because he knew how much him being there meant to you ……..

……… but now, here you are ............ the perfect party host with everyone having a good time, and you trying to smile and join in, but seemingly surrounded by ‘loved up’ couples who only succeed in reminding you that your beautiful man is not by your side  ………  

…….. the music is loud and everyone is up dancing and singing and at first you don’t hear the knocking at the front door (which you had locked earlier to avoid any uninvited guests slipping in unnoticed) ……. one of your friends yells to you and points to the door and now you can just hear it too …… someone is banging really hard on the door and calling your name, obviously trying to get you to answer ……. having had a fair bit to drink already, you tipsily grab your keys out of the kitchen drawer and fumble to find the right key before opening the door wide …… the fist that had noisily banged the door nearly accidentally catches your cheek, but is hastily snatched back towards his body as your eyes raise to meet the eyes of the sexy man filling your doorway .......... “Você está incrível, querido" (you look amazing baby) Ruben mutters softly “.....I couldn't miss your party ...... I explained this to Nike and they cut the photo shoot short so I could be here ...... cheguei aqui o mais rápido que pude" (I got here as fast as I could)  ..... your heart is beating madly in your chest, and you feel your legs go a little wobbly on your high heels ............ but the feeling of contentment and happiness that surges through your body as Ruben lovingly gazes down at you, wraps you in his strong arms, and passionately kisses you, is everything you ever needed ........ this is the perfect birthday party after all ..........

update: peach is doing very well!! she's eating and sleeping normally (sleeping more than normal, really, but that's to be expected)!! after 3 days of not sleeping and a few changes in painkillers, she finally just napped for an hr then, after another day, slept through the whole night (and most of the next day). she's started following all her usual routines again and is very keen to eat! still on some painkillers, but they're not having any horrific side effects anymore

now that im not staying up to keep an eye on her all night (while also dealing with upgrading my computer and my phone and also my sister preparing to go overseas and the dogs barking and howling constantly due to all of the above), i finally got some decent sleep too and slept for about 14 hrs. so today ive got that weird shakiness that i get from sleeping too much, but hey it's better than the whole of the last week
