but. okay. obviously bucky is not why steve is a stubborn angry righteous force of nature, but in the mcu bucky is why captain america did anything actually worthwhile. it was only bucky being in danger that pushed steve to say no, fuck this, fuck you, i can do more and you can't stop me. he went into a nazi prison alone for bucky. that was his first ever combat. and then! bucky is also why steve went in the ice! because the war wasn't over, steve's job wasn't finished, but bucky was dead so instead of jumping out the plane steve rode it into the ocean

And Then. steve doesn't die, and bucky doesn't die, and bucky breaks through an unfathomable degree of brainwashing – and don't even get me started on how they're fucking mirrors of each other both turned into tools for someone else's use both only able to break out of that For Each Other – because he SAW steve. and steve sees him!!! and there's no question of if steve still loves him, because how could there be!!!

they're each other's driving force. they're both whole people but they push each other to their best. i cannot think about them without wanting to chew glass

Estragon is finally in his finished vivarium! His viv is definitely complete, most of the plants have had a while to establish and the rest are very large with nice root systems already, and the microfauna have had a month to establish too. I feel awful that he's been in his temporary for so long, and this vivarium is definitely ready for him. Vladimir will have to wait a little. He's much more shy than Estragon, and his plants aren't large enough to give him the shade he needs to feel secure. I'm also still adjusting it since I'm not as pleased with its design, but it should be done within a week or two. He'll be alright in the meantime. My goodness gracious how far we've come. It's been a wild ride and it's still not quite over, I still have plans for a custom stand, light hood, mistong system, and forced ventilation/cooling, but for now I can say that one of two vivariums is DONE. I hope you enjoy the remodel, my dearest muppet man. It's all for you.
