Whenever someone mentions Five-0 in Magnum P.I. my mind goes all 🥺😫😭🤙🏽💙 and I smile so hard because they are still a team that exists in canon and I just stop functioning for some seconds while I freak out before concentrating on the plot again.

Anyone else feels the same or are you normal?

So I rewatched the H50/Magnum PI crossover ep 10x12 (cause I recently started watching Magnum). Of course I missed Danno but I liked what is mentioned above, that they mentioned Danny a few times.

From the start of Magnum I got the feeling Higgins & Magnum argue like a male/female McDanno.. Let's assume Higgins is like Danno in here, Steve said about Higgins: "I like this one!" so that's a good thing perhaps :P

Re: H50 10x12

I have seen only a few of episodes of Magnum, P.I. before and I really didn’t have any expectations at all for the crossover. But not only was it a decent enough episode, it was also—from an H50 perspective—full of continuity and details, briefly mentioned but they were there.

The facts about Steve were probably the most obvious, like Steve driving and being accused of having control issues or Steve being fluent in Chinese or the mentions of his previous SEAL missions. And Steve getting some respect for the work he did as a SEAL was very nice, including his smirk. :)

There were a lot of references to episodes from earlier seasons, like Wo Fat being killed by a shot to the head, Five-0′s dealings with Aaron Wright or the sensory deprivation tank, and I was really surprised that they brought up Joe White. Even if Magnum admits that he hadn’t known Joe personally, I liked that they managed to convey how important Joe had been to Steve.

They pushed Tani and Junior’s relationship a step forward (finally!) and even picked up Adam’s storyline in this episode, despite it being a crossover.

I love that they made not only one, but three references to Danny:

While Steve drives his Ferrari Magnum says “I’m sure your partner loves that,” to which Steve replies “He’s fine with it.”

When Magnum and Higgins start bickering at H50 HQ and Lou Grover asks “These two remind you of anyone you know?” and then it’s Steve who says “Danny and I are not like that.”

After the case is solved, Magnum suggests he and Steve should meet sometime and grab a beer, and says “Yeah, as long as you bring your partner.“ (Fic prompt, anyone?)

The episode really was a pleasant surprise and I enjoyed it a lot.

I absolutely forgot that there was a crossover between Magnum P.I. and Hawaii Five-0 and my first instinct when I heard Magnum saying "Previously on Hawaii Five-0" was to say "What the fuck?"

Then I realized, oh the crossover.
