The amazing @gyrhs commissioned this perfect cover for my fic The Kingcraft of Arthur Pendragon. It's based on an old art of hers, that I love so very much, and she did an incredible job transforming it onto the vision of what happened in the story when Merlin's magic has to be revealed.

who's your favorite Merlin artist? or maybe there is more than one!

Ahhh okay this is really hard. The thing is, I have pretty much zero talent/skill in visual art, even though I really admire it. So I just look at what everyone else makes and flail happily. So I could NEVER really pic a fav! But there are artists I've commissioned and worked with! @kairennart is one whose style I ADORE. I'm a sucker for anyone who can make faces look like the characters really well! And I love their style!

@gyrhs is someone I've commissioned to do covers for my long fics, and who I was paired with for after camlann! Their level of detail is amazing @schweet-arts Is who I am paired with for the reverse bang this year!!!!! their stuff is so pretty! and has this soft painting-like feel to it.(At least I hope it's them I am 99% sure this is their blog) I'm hoping to commission more Merlin artists in the future. Or even collab with them. It would be really fun to do one of my oneshots (But focus a lot on what an artist likes) and then have an artist do a picture for it! IF any artists are up for this of course! I would not presume!

Well, the last friday I went to a convention in my city and visited the section of artists… i can’t let to pass the opportunity to buy a commission of my favorite character and my oc of beyblade.

Hey, I really love your art and I'm thinking of commissioning something, but I just wanted to ask how it works. As in, is it just that you turn our prompts into art and we then have the digital copy, or is there a way to get a physical one? Do we have to pay more for the physical copy? Is there only the commissions form on kofi or is there seperate forms for if we want different type of art?

Hi anon! The most common commission that I offer is the digital one, since is easier for everyone involved to make changes and receive it sooner, but I can do traditional commissions too, they can be watercolors up to A4 size or sketchcards of 2,5*3,5 inches, the shipping usually is 10USD and includes tracking info.

For digital commissions you can either use my Ko-fi page, my Vgen page, a DM on discord (I'm GYRHS there too) or an e-mail to gyrhs13@gmail.com where you can detail your idea and I can give you an approximate cost (this works for watercolor commissions too).

Normally once we both are happy with the price of your commission I send you a PayPal invoice if I was contacted via discord or e-mail with all of the details of your commission and my ToS (if you place your order on Ko-fi or VGen the pages do this automatically). Then, once the invoice is paid and the references sent I begin the sketch and show it to you so you can make changes before I make the lineart, you can make up to 3 changes with no extra cost.

Depending on your type of commission I can send you your finished lineart or ask about the colors that would be use before render them or in the case of watercolor commissions before applying them on the paper.

When the commission is finished I send you the file on high resolution ready to print or I give your tracking number so you can see where your art is once I ship it.
