I've always been the ugly friend. I've always been the wall flower. So I stopped focusing so much on my image and started working on the things that I want to be remembered for. I want people to sing my music long after I'm dead. I want people to lurk in the dark corners of the Internet for my first songs that I wrote at 14. I want people to have my photography prints hanging in their rooms as a reminder to get up and live another beautiful day. My looks will fade. Although I will take pride in spending my life collecting modifications on my body, and I do love playing with makeup on a daily basis, I recognize that it's not something I really care about. A little, sure.
