Silly Friends Make Silly Friends

Milo would freely admit that sometimes, his new friend was just a little inscrutable. 

Example: How he found her when he was dropping off the candy he’d gotten from a school fundraiser on her behalf.

He knocked, and was called in, and the state of her living room was baffling the man. 

Currently, Anya was sitting in her small living room, with her yamask resting just behind her on the back of the sofa, her Froslass was floating right by her side on the sofa, and her Hatterene was hilariously taking up a huge part of her couch next to her. 

“What in the - Anya?” 

“Hm?” She didn’t give him a glace, as she was in the middle of eating something.

“.... Can I ask what the hell you're doing?” 

Anya looked up from her food, giving him a bewildered expression. 

“.... Dinner?” 

“... This is how you have dinner? With all of your pokemon just… around you?” He questioned

“.. Not usually? But the rain outside was makin’ me nervous - the power tends t’go out”

Milo could not, for the life of him, understand the logic there. But Anya was always a little enigmatic, really. They hadn’t known each other long, but she was good at confounding him with her logic leaps, if nothing else. 

“Do you usually let them out of their pokeballs when they get home, though?” 

“Yes?”

Huh. Something about that was interesting to Milo, though he didn’t linger on it 

“Well, I’m just here dropping off the sweets you asked for” 

“Yah?” Drew perked up at the mention of sugar.

“Oh, thank ye! Ye can put it on the counter” 

“Got it. Uh, see you tomorrow?” He questioned 

“Sure!” She waved to him, with her pokemon following suit.

Milo shut the door behind him, and his brow was furrowed as furrowed could be as he stood there in a small apartment building’s hallway. Anya could be quite the character sometimes, and while he had been bewildered, the more he thought about it, the less ridiculous it was. Seemed he was just caught off guard. She did love her pokemon, even if it seemed a little unconventional.

Anya reminded him of another person with a love of Galarian Punk and pink. Perhaps he should introduce them. 

Oh, that was a great idea! Both of them could use more friends! 

He’d look into it tomorrow. He was sure it was a good idea.

Huh.

“So.. You two… know each other?” Milo questioned, genuinely surprised.

Anya glanced over at him “Hm?” 

“Hell yeah we fuckin’ do! Graduated secondary together!” Piers announced, arm around Anya’s shoulders. “Been friends f’r years! Surprised we hadn’t mentioned it to ya before now, but oh well!” 

The fact that he was touching her without asking and she was clearly fine with it was the answer in and of itself, but Piers' response clarified a lot. Milo couldn’t help but smile bemusedly at the situation

“Huh. Didn’t know you knew each other…. Is she the best friend you kept talking about?” Milo questioned almost playfully. 

“You bet!” Piers gave Milo a tired grin. Anya looked down with a red face. 

Milo chuckled, shaking his head. “Well, let’s not delay! We have a rented Karaoke room to abuse!” He waved for them to follow him into the venue they’d gotten the reservation in in the south end of Hammerlocke. 

“Oh, hell yeah! Ready, Anya??” 

Anya recovered from the bashfulness rather quickly at the promise of karaoke as Piers removed his arm from around her shoulders, and she gave a solid nod “Aye! Le’s’go!” 

“I push and you tend to shove I-” 

“Give in and you won’t give up I’m” 

“Not getting out of here this time!” 

“I bought a Lemon to a knife fight!!” 

Oh, now Milo just felt left out.

Extremely traditional, he has the entire date planned out has a whole list of things to do and places to eat, and things to see.( more often than not already has a reservation planned)

No matter if it's your first second third or 600th the date he'll always feel nervous to take you out somewhere.

You never expected Kabu to be so romantic, he just wants to make sure you're having a good time.

Kabu's idea of a date is just as traditional a fancy dinner or somewhere quiet and go home.

The gym leader does admit that it has been sometime since he's taken someone out, and he wouldn't be surprised if dating has changed in recent years, so he would be open to anything if you decide to change it. But his first instincts will always be take you out to dinner.

Now he doesn't mind taking you places to have fun it will just take him a while to let loose a little bit. He'd much rather take it slow.

During the actual date, Kabu won't take his eyes off you; you have his full attention.

Kabu prefers taking it slow he is not interested in flings when he is with someone he is in for the long haul. He wishes for a partner to stay by his side.

Kabu says is not a jealous man but you can't help but notice his eyes seemed to Twitch when someone gets a little buddy with you.

Raihan

Raihan thrives off dates while a dinner is considered for him, it isn't his go-to.

Like the extroverted battery he is he will drag you to any place he thinks is fun and wants to bring you to. Every attraction in Galar are you two have gone to at least twice. And precious thumb drives are filled with pictures and videos of every date. The ones he posts on his social media are not even 1% of the ones he has.

Raihan is less of a list and plan guy and more of a follow your heart.

If going out isn't really your thing or going anywhere where there's a lot of people he'll try to meet in the middle because a date is successful when two people are having fun.

As much as I do see Raihan being the more extroverted going out and doing things kind of boyfriend I do think he is rather flexible with Partners who don't really want to go out.

Raihan is extremely perceptive of other people, and we'll take note of your likes and dislikes, to be completely honest he is the happiest when you're happy.

Raihan is a self-proclaimed Master at dating spots; like I said, he is highly perceptive of the people he is dating. He'll pick a place that he knows you'll like, and he'll pick up on your habits pretty quickly. He'll know when you are or not having fun.

Raihan is a very doting boyfriend anyone would be lucky to be with him.

I also see him as quite the gift-giver as well, he puts a lot of thought into every gift he gives you, ( sometimes he has Dragon brain and gives you a Shiny rock or nick nack he randomly saw and made him think of you)

Piers

Eh, to be completely honest Piers doesn't care one way or the other; if going on dates means a lot to you, then sure, he'll do it to make you happy. But Piers can spend time with you in any way he wants to without any of that fancy stuff.

A guy like him, oblivious and doesn't know what romance even is, would be very in trouble on a first date, lucky for him, his sister has his back whether he wants help or not. What kind of sister would she be if she let her brother crash and burn? And Raihan can supply good spots in Galar that have good reviews and are good dating spots

Piers classifies anything as a date, even if it's just you, too, having a lazy Sunday on the couch.

Peirs ideal date if you were to ask him he, would probably say being at home with his partner eating pizza and watching The Great Galar Bake Off.

But once in a blue moon, Piers will knock you out of the park with something you never expect from him. Taking you outside of the town and watching the Stars or Have you listen to a short song he wrote about you. You have no idea where is this comes from because usually, your Piers has no romantic bone in his body.

If you would like to take him out somewhere, sure, he'll bite. He doesn't mind either way.

Piers has a tendency to be a little protective over people he really likes.

Maybe even a little bit possessive over you specifically.

How I would rewrite Pokemon Journeys//Improve on it as well.

SO YEAH!!! I’m posting this cause I Love the Pokemon anime and I think Journeys could have done a bit better with its Storylines and stuff like that.

So for this post I’m gonna try to rewrite the Pokemon Journeys Anime. (But I need to explain a few rules first…)

1 - The Series will be like Journeys with a few differences.

It’s still a World traveling Series with Different Pokemon Regions and stuff like that, But for the first season alone. It will be centered around Galar for the Darkest day ARC (Which will set up the events in the future and stuff like that.)

Also! Project mew will be intertwined into the Bigger plot of this series and the characters who are in Project mew will get Backstory and more character moments so they are not left in the dust.

2 - Movie exclusive characters and Characters of the day from Before and during Journeys will appear in the Rewrite.

Like for example…

Doyle from that one BW episode! For the rewrite I could see him working with Looker and Emma as they investigate into the mysterious things going on at the Chairman Rose corporation in Galar.

Or Regina! She can be a semi-Temporary Traveling companion for Ash, Goh, Chloe and Gloria as they travel to the Isle of Armor for a Story Arc of some kind then she returns for the Galar League against Leon! (Quick note: The Masters 8 Tournament will still happen, it’s still being set up by Leon when he becomes the chairman of the League so I could see it happening around Gen 10 or 11.)

Also yes! There will be 4 Main characters like in the XYZ Anime with Serena, Bonnie and Clemont and Ash.

The Journeys Gang will be…

1 - Ash Ketchum: The Protagonist.

2 - Goh: Ash’s newest friend and wants to catch Mew themselves! (He will be part of the Project mew storyline.)

3 - Chloe: She is Gohs Childhood friend and is still figuring out what she wants to do with her life. (She will still have Eevee.)

4 - Gloria!: She is Hops Childhood friend and is still new to her Pokemon Journey so far!

3 - Also! The Rivals! Who are the Rivals of this rewrite?!

1 - Rinto: He is a Male Pokemon Trainer from Sinnoh but also has connections to Paldea.

2 - Bede: He is the Student/Apprentice of Chairman rose and is like His game counterpart and stuff like that.

3 - Marnie: She is Peirs younger sister and she wants to win the league so she can give her hometown the attention it deserves due to hard times and stuff like that.

4 - The other Coronation series Trainers that Ash has met (I don’t really care who I pick for the rewrite I just want to give them backstory or something.)

5 - Hop: He is basically his game counterpart and his game story will be explained in the rewrite. His Goal is to get out of his Brothers shadow and become the strongest trainer in the world!!!

6 - Victor: He is Gloria’s Older Brother and is currently on a Journey on his own. He will be one of the Coranation series participants that Ash fights.

4 - The Episode structure.

There will be different kinds of episodes for the rewrite, Though these different kinds of episodes could mix with each other due to how they are written.

Type #1 - Region focused Episode: A Past character or Game character could appear or Ash could battle a Gym leader.

Type #2 - Coronation series Battle: Ash basically Battles someone like a Random trainer/Gym leader/Elite 4 member or Champion/Game character for the entire episode.

Type #3 - Filler episode: This Episode is usually an improved version of a Filler episode from Journeys…

Example: The 80th Episode of Journeys has The character Nito; He is a Pokemon Hunter and he gets arrested and stuff like that. But what if it turns out that he was hired by Chairman Rose?! Hm? He was hired so he could catch more pokemon for Chairman roses Experiments on Pokemon! SHOCKING RIGHT?! SO INTERESTING!!!

and when I mean “Experiments” I’m referring to the Dynamaxing experiments for the Darkest Day storyline so when we get to the Pokemon League storyline near the end of The Rewrite, He will release the Pokemon Eternatus and cause Chaos!

Though I do admit that I didn’t write any of this yet, So I’m still figuring out if I should use a different name for the 1st Arc instead of calling it “The Darkest day.” (It gets confusing.)

My Replacement idea is that when Chairman rose is testing one of his Pokemon experiments, It causes the Energy points around Galar to act up and stuff like that. (I got this one idea from Loumiose Trainer Zac’s Sword and shield rewrite on YouTube. CHECK IT OUT ITS PRETTY GOOD PLEASE!!!)

and that’s what I got so far for my rewrite.

The rewrite would basically be a mix of World hopping and the main story being centered around Galar.

Oh! I forgot to mention the Hisui and Gen 4 remakes!!!

For the Gen 4 remake episodes with Dawn; I would keep them but change the one where they go to an alternate universe with AU Ash and AU Dawn.

I would change that episode to where The Journeys Gang meets the characters from the AU Ash Movies (Movies 20/21 and 23? I forgot when movie 23 came out so I don’t know if it would fit or not.)

I would like to see Canon Ash meet Cross and Sorrel and Dawn meeting Verity from Movie 20.

Sorrel could also meet the XYZ characters and have a Angst filled moment with Clemont about his Dead Luxray or something like that.

and the Hisui special could be swapped with a mini Arc or just keep the specials in the style of a Netflix movie.

So yeah…These were my Journeys rewrite thoughts, You can Comment your thoughts or just like it or something idk.

Welcome, one and all, to my new side blog and first ever RP blog for my take on Plumeria (formerly of Team Skull).

Some things with how I play Plu:

Team Skull is more or less done, though a lot of the grunts are still referred to in Alola as Po Punks.

This RP will try to tie into my Cigarettes and Hibiscus novel (I just started) on AO3, but mostly just for HCs

Other headcannons include Piers from Spikemuth as her OTP

She helps Marnie run the Spikemuth gym, splitting it as the Poison type leader.

Now, onto the RULES

Minors do not interact! This RP will most likely feature adult situations, but will absolutely contain adult language.

Absolutely no Guzma x Plumeria interactions! This one is a bit more personal, since the character is also oddly reminiscent of a toxic ex of my own. Plus, it's implied that Guzma and Kukui in canon are around the same age, while Plumeria isn't. There could be as much as 10 year age gap between the two, and it's just unsettling to me. Lastly, it also aligns with my own story.

OTP is Peirs, from Pokemon SwSh. I prefer to keep that as any romantically involved RP, again just to help me stay in tune with my own works that I'm in the process of writing. However, I'm down to interact with most everyone in a friendly manner. If you have suggestions or questions on how you wanna interact, feel free to message me! :)

Normal Type: Your Uncle Pietro, just a normal guy. hes very accepting of who you are however. Ace is Chocohst (Ghost Chocolate bar)

Electric: Jinx, Female Punk Rocker with an electric guitar (think a mix of roxie and peirs) she is dating the next gym leader youll face. Ace is Ferocity (Battery Dog)

Steel: Sheila, mechanic/blacksmith. her gym is filled to the brim with meltans. dating jinx. Ace is Bronzurn (A reigonal Bronzong)

Grass: Ryme, A male florist, he knows how to garden all season which is why he owns the seasonal versions of Bairy (A pokemon which changes forms over the seasons) Ace is each Bairy evo

Dragon: Dari, a mysterious Enby who has their gym in a secluded cave where it shouldnt be. People suspect they could actually be a dragon. are the rumors true? Ace is Dragest (A dragon with a large mouth and large teeth)

Poison: Ibis, A snarky rich kid who secretly has feelings for you. You are not intrested, especially since they show it by being a jerk. Ace ia Drapion

Fairy (O) /Dark (C): Yaiu, a peppy transfemale popstar/vtuber, who rocks the world with her songs and battles. Ace is Vamptini (Reigional Victini) /Damien, a police officer of the town, he is sleep deprived yet he uses his dark types if youre worth his time that is. Ace is Rockium (Reigonal Emboar)

A Moment In Galar With An Old Friend

Piers hated the winter. 

Spikemuth winters were sad looking and dark, though it did make the harsh neon really pop when you were forced to walk down the road. They were also mostly rain rather than snow - maybe you’d get slush or sleet if you were lucky. But it was mostly a miserable time for the town, with everyone forced inside. 

It also meant he couldn’t play outside - his favorite place to perform was the outdoor arena. 

But there he was. Plucking away on his acoustic in his living room alone, experimenting with some chords for a song he’d been stuck on for weeks. He needed something to occupy his mind after the wake up he’d had. 

He’d had an argument with Marnie that morning before she’d gone off to the gym for training. A real one that both of them left pretty heated.

They didn’t often have actual arguments. Most of them were either taking the piss, or typical dumb sibling things. 

But she just had to bring up Anya. After not having to hear about her for months.

It had been two years since she’d left already. He didn’t need to be reminded of his ex best friend. 

Any mention of her always left him in a foul mood, and after his sister left, he’d grabbed his acoustic, and summoned his skuntank - if only to have a warm body to talk with.  

“Rr?” 

“Eh, y’know how it is” he muttered “Y’knew ‘er. And y’know why I can't do what Marnie asked” 

Milo was apparently sending something over to Unova for her birthday, and mailed a card for Marnie to sign. She’d asked Piers if he’d wanted to send a letter with it. And honestly? He’d been considering it for a hot second. Two years, that was a long time? Maybe a small “happy birthday” message would be okay. Maybe he could manage it? 

“Maybe your dumb ass can finally apologize” Marnie had commented, almost bitterly. 

And that's where the defensiveness started. 

The argument hadn’t been particularly bad, but it had still hurt, with her wanting to see a bridge repaired that he didn’t have the tools for.

“You’ll never know if you don’t try” 

“Ugh! Why’s she so insistent!” he shoved his guitar away from himself, landing on his shag carpet with a “thrum” of the vibrating strings and grabbed his own head in frustration “After wha’ I did I’d never wanna see me again neither! Much less hear from me!” he reasoned with frustration.

That day lived rent-free in the back of his head from the moment it happened, as well as its immediate aftermath. He thought about his anger, his defensiveness, his poor performance in that battle… and how just a day later, he’d known he’d made a mistake, and yet doubled down when confronted by his little sister.. 

Marnie had been so very upset at the time. Understandably so, she hadn’t learned what happened until nearly two days later, and even then he was vague and refused to tell the full story.

Anya was in Unova by the time Marine managed to get the full story out of him. And he wasn't about to endure that 8 hour flight just because he was getting yelled at by her.

He couldn’t say sorry at that point anyway. It was too late now. 

Frankly, it had been too late when he let her leave the Gym arena in tears, and she’d sat at the bus stop back to Turffield for nearly 30 minutes. In all that time he could have attempted something.  

If he’d had half a brain, he would have come to his senses, run over there like his life depended on it and apologized. 

But he didn’t. 

And, as stupid as it sounded, he stood by it. He had to. It was his action, he had to defend it, right?

And that was typically where the arguing began and ended. It was frustratingly cyclical most of the time, and usually left him dealing with that lingering guilt he’d never gotten rid of. 

This time though, she’d ended the argument with a hell of a cutting line. She’d gotten meaner in her teenage years - it was starting to offend him that he couldn’t one-up her anymore. But what she’d said was echoing around right in the front of his head. 

“She’d forgive you in a minute. But you know that, don’t you?” 

Ugh-

“Of course, of course she would!” he groaned - wishing he’d said that when Marnie was still at home “We both know she would have..” 

His last breakup with a boyfriend hadn’t hurt him as much as this - then again he’d only known the man for a few months. Anya had been a friend for many years before he completely mucked it up with his own insecurity. 

His therapist had been right. Sometimes losing a friend was worse than losing a lover. 

Letting out one final, defeated huff, he grabbed his guitar again, and strummed a bit, muttering the lyrics to a familiar song that used to be a staple cover at his shows, but he couldn’t bring himself to play anymore

“I push an’ you tend to shove, I- 

Give in and you don’t give up, I’m-

Not getting out of here this time - 

I bought a lemon to a knife fight” 

The lyrics to that song were dumb, but made a great chant at concerts. He used to think that, one day, he’d convince his best friend to perform the song with him somewhere that wasn’t karaoke. 

These days, that dream felt even dumber than the possibility of reconciliation. 

At least he had the memories.
