Grumbling under his breath, Azriel shed his heavy leather coat as they walked side-by-side down Michigan Avenue.

“Here,” he said, offering her his jacket.

“No, thank you. I don’t need your coat,” she said through chattering teeth. “Besides, won’t you be cold?”

Azriel shrugged and looked good at doing it. Insufferable bastard.

Still hoping to have it up on Tuesday, but even if it's a day or two late (sorry, Christmas shopping for the kids while they were in school!), then it'll be up before Christmas either way. I. Promise!

Give Me Your Heart For Christmas: Modern AU Gwynriel Fic ANNOUNCEMENT!

So... despite my best effort at trying to get this 12-chapter fluff published for our High Lady's birthday, my super excited, stir-crazy offspring (I have threatened to tell the elves of their transgressions 10x 11x already today in the four hours they've been awake, so that's going well), and holiday plans---and last-minute gifts---had other ideas. But don't fret!!! The delay is not long!

THURSDAY AT 10PM CST, I WILL BE UPLOADING THE FIC IN FULL, TO Ao3!

And I want to thank everyone in the bookish and fanfic community that has been so incredibly supportive this year. I rediscovered my love for reading and writing at the beginning of the pandemic, and stumbled randomly across these communities.

Truly, you all helped me find my old joy amid the chaos. I've met outstanding people and made some great friends these past two years. So thank you all so much! And thank you for your patience!

A Court of Whispers and Song Chapter 54 is up!

The backs of her eyes brimmed with fierce tears she would not let slip down her hot cheeks. And during a moment of restrained tension, Gwyn barked a caustic laugh. As three other people in the room shifted towards her, their gazes ranged from fury to anguish and everything in between. Gwyn wetly laughed once again as the realization hit her like a pommel to the chest.

Next week, I will finish up my holiday Modern AU Gwynriel fic, Give Me Your Heart For Christmas, which should be up on Dec 21. So there will not be a chapter update for ACOWAS until after Christmas. I'm shooting for the 29th.

So after a long AF week that felt like a damn sitcom (right, @hlizr50 ? 😂), I'm finally caught up with life! Except laundry. Laundry is infinite.

For those you who read the latest ACOWAS chapter, yes I am taking a break from the updates until after Christmas. For two reasons: (1) my Modern AU Gwynriel holiday fic coming out on Dec 21, & (2) I have two kids and holiday time. It's always a crazy stressful time where you don't feel like there's enough time for anything, so I'm truly making a conscious effort to balance this season. Cookies and fun and movies and all that jazz!

Anyway, I was happy to get the chapter up last night even though I'm so tired 😴 and even happier that you all liked it!
