ASOIAF FANCASTING –> EVERY NAMED FEMALE CHARACTER ABOVE THE AGE OF FIVE, PART XXIII
Gella (main series era): Granddaughter of Lord Godric Borrell of Sweetsister, one of the three islands known as the Sisters. Fancast: Lia Pappas-Kemps.
Genna Lannister (b. 245 AC): Only daughter of Lord Tytos Lannister of Casterly Rock, and sister to Lord Tywin. At the age of seven, she was betrothed to her husband Emmon Frey, second son of Lord Walder Frey of the Twins, and went on to have four sons with him. Her son Tion is murdered by Rickard Karstark during the War of the Five Kings. After Lord Edmure Tully of Riverrun is attainted by King Tommen, Riverrun and its lands and incomes are granted to Emmon. My own headcanon: Obviously, this is a young Genna - simply can't find a good fancast for older Genna. Fancast: Juno Temple.
Gilliane Glover (b. approx. 90 AC): Wife of Rickon Stark, Lord of Winterfell, and mother to Lord Cregan Stark, famous for his involvement in the Dance of the Dragons. Fancast: Amelia Warner.
Gilly (b. 283 AC): Daughter and wife to Craster, who makes his keep beyond the Wall and lives alone with his many daughters and wives, sacrificing his sons to the Others for protection. To save the life of her son, Gilly pleads with Samwell Tarly and Jon Snow, brothers of the Night's Watch on Lord Commander Mormont's great ranging, to take her with them back across the Wall. After the mutiny of the Night's Watch against Lord Mormont, Sam flees back to the Wall with Gilly, facing the Others when they come to fetch the child. They are saved by a mysterious figure known as Coldhands, who takes them to a secret entrance through the Wall ending in the Nightfort, and they make it to Castle Black. While at Castle Black, Gilly becomes the wet nurse for the son of Mance Rayder, as his wife Dalla has died during the birth. The new Lord Commander Jon Snow, fearing for the safety of Mance Rayder's son, secretly sends him south to Oldtown with Sam and Master Aemon, forcing Gilly to leave her real child behind. She becomes Sam's lover during the long journey, and Sam intends to send her to his family at Horn Hill, claiming the child as his bastard with Gilly. Fancast: Hannah Murray.
Gretchel (main series era): A serving woman at the Eyrie. Fancast: Ruth Gordon.
Grisel (main series era): The head of Petyr Baelish's household at his ancestral holding on the Fingers, formerly his wet nurse. Fancast: Jessica Tandy.
Grisella (lived c. 280 AC): A skinchanger of the Free Folk who could inhabit the body of a goat. Fancast: Peta Rutter.
Gwenys Rivers (b. 174 AC): Bastard daughter to Aegon IV Targaryen and his sixth mistress, Lady Melissa Blackwood. She had an older sister. Her younger brother was Brynden Rivers, who would go on to become a greenseer and the Hand of King Aerys I. Fancast: Freya Mavor.
Gwin Goodbrother (b. approx. 280 AC): One of the twelve daughters of Lord Gorold Goodbrother of Hammerhorn in the Iron Islands. Fancast: Emma Fuhrmann.
Gwynesse Harlaw (b. approx. 240 AC): Elder sister of Lord Rodrik Harlaw of Ten Towers. Her husband died during the Ironborn Rebellion and she subsequently returned to Ten Towers, where she constantly reminds her brother that the castle should be hers since she is the elder. Fancast: Diana Scarwid.

Women of the Iron Islands Gwin Goodbrother The hall was dank and drafty, full of shadows. One of Gorold’s daughters offered the priest a horn of ale. Another poked at a sullen fire that was giving off more smoke than heat.
Gysella Goodbrother “Gysella, Gwin, leave us,” Goodbrother said curtly. “You as well, Gran. Maester Murenmure will stay.”
Alannys Harlaw Alannys Harlaw never had the sort of beauty the singers cherished, but her daughter had loved her fierce strong face and the laughter in her eyes. On that last visit, though, she had found Lady Alannys in a window seat huddled beneath a pile of furs, staring out across the sea.
Gwynesse Harlaw Lady Gwynesse had come home to mourn after her husband had died off Fair Isle during Balon Greyjoy’s first rebellion. “I will only stay until my grief has passed,” she had told her brother, famously, “though by rights Ten Towers should be mine, for I am seven years your elder.” Long years had passed since then, but still the widow lingered, grieving, and muttering from time to time that the castle should be hers.

setting: lannisport, a week after the arrival of the king’s invitation. with: @gysellas
bustle is no novelty around lannisport; it is the sustenance of the port town, after all, and with too many children going underfoot and running amok the halls of the lannister keep, gwynesse is hardly phased by the noise and movement of newcomers ( if she likes it, it’s something else that does not matter ). the difference comes through that it is not many people coming in, but going out — she can not recall straying far from the city for longer than a fortnight for over a decade now, and gwynesse has never known how to let go of things she cared about ( not without finding something better to busy herself with, that is ) so the woman that stands going down the hall to one of the many chambers is one that barely resembles the patient lady lannister of lannisport. the neatly pinned gilded hair is there, but the way she glares at the other blonde woman in the room is not lady lannister — but gwynesse goodbrother, who was not unfamiliar with clawing at her sisters’ arms and kicking them under the table if they did not do what she wanted them to do, and whose patience runs thinner by the second. it is what the most trying ones of her family renders her, most times: that pale girl of one and ten, murderous gaze as she watches one of her stupid brothers make fun of her just because they can.
“so do you expect me to ready my trunkets myself when i have servants to do so just to ease your paranoia, gysella? i’m sure maud does not care about how you gutted someone who looked at you wrong. neither can she speak of it, anyhow,” she offers the aforementioned woman a passing glance, as one would a dull furniture — maud was just another inconsequential servant from an inconsequential background, whose only remarkable trait was the lack of a tongue; it had already been cut out by the time gwynesse made it to lannisport, and she had never been curious enough to question anyone about it when maud was so much better as a loyal, quiet shadow behind her, brought out to attend only a few special guests such as god damn gysella, who had threatened some handmaid last time so efficiently the girl sobbed as she pleaded to be excused from the lady goodbrother's company. “besides, there is too much to pack and i don’t want your filthy hands on any of my clothes.”
while maud moves towards the trunkets, her lady pauses suddenly, a furrow growing in between her brows, obviously accusatory. “have you had gwin unpack her own? i’m inclined to believe her hygiene may be better than yours, and she could be of help since you decided to bring them.” of course that would imply gysella paid any mind to the girls, and gwynesse knew better than anyone attentiveness — especially towards something so futile as a child’s pastime — was hardly a goodbrother trait.
#human rights organizations would have their work cut out with gwynesse#i'm sorry she's a c*nt it is her defining trait apparently#classicism tw#cruelty tw#??? not sure but shes horrible#— — 𝐆.𝐆. : dialogue.

Can Katie McGrath be in this rp? If so, is there any character that could fit her?
For sure, I could definitely see her here!
I think she could fit really well for the roles of Asha Greyjoy, Wynafryd Manderly, Alys Karstark, or Mya Stone.
Equally, if you’re looking for a character with a little less canon backstory so you can make her your own, Dacey, Alysane, Lyra or Jorelle Mormont could work, as would Gwin or Gysella Goodbrother.

where could you see anya chalotra? Struggling to find a muse that she'd fit
canon wise, some ideas could be the roles of kinvara, mya stone, elinor tyrell, gwin or gysella goodbrother, irri or jhiqui, nymeria sand && meera reed. oc wise, she could also be a wildling, red priestess, seer, corsair, from a house of the iron islands, the stormlands, the north, or across the narrow sea. depending on how you wish to portray her, there are definitely a variety of roles anya could fill !

Hi! I'm trying to look for examples of women from the Iron Islands for fic reasons, and are there any apart from Asha, Alannys, Gwynesse, and Hagen's daughter? Thank you!
I’m afraid there aren’t many significant women in the Iron Islands besides those that you listed. However, there are a few other female characters that you may find useful:
Esgred - not Asha, but the real Esgred. The mother of the shipwright Sigrin, he named his first ship after her.
The twelve daughters of Lord Gorold Goodbrother, among whom are Gwin and Gysella.
Helya, the steward of castle Pyke.
deceased: two of the wives of Quellon Greyjoy, a lady of House Stonetree and a lady of House Sunderly. (His third wife was from House Piper, a riverlander.)
deceased: the salt wife of Victarion Greyjoy, raped by Euron and then murdered by Victarion in an honor killing.
historical: Lelia Lannister, queen of King Harmund II Hoare and mother of Harmund III - horribly mutilated by her younger son after he usurped his brother.
You can also assume that most lords of the Iron Islands have a rock wife and probably one or more salt wives. None have been named except Alannys, of course, (not even Victarion’s wife), but since you’re ficcing, you’re free to consider women to be people. :) Hope that helps!
