"can we at least bring the doom and gloom down to like a cool four?" gwen understood to some extent that this whole superhero gig wasn't about to be sunshine and rainbows but natasha was painting a rather bleak picture. "there's gotta be something good like..." the blonde thought for a moment, a soft hum leaving her lips. "like all the people that must look up to you," the blonde ushered to the other woman. "now you go- and don't say something negative. you can do that, right? won't kill you or anything?"

Natasha shook her head. Nothing she was saying was being received. She pursed her lips in a tight smile, "You asked what it was like," she shrugged. "I'm going to tell you the truth not the pitch any government will give you about change and hope. The facts are, you don't get to live your own life. It's not fun. We do what we do to give other people options in life, but we don't get that privilege." Gwen wasn't listening, not the way Natasha had hoped.
