okay so basically we're leaving this resort to stay at a relatives for a while, you get me? so I gotta go pack my stuff up again and usually, im like.. so fucking shit when it comes to doing literally like, anything productive- 💀

and so today was like.. just as bad ig but mum wasn't really paying attention after yelling at me AGAIN lol (it's fine dw, im just a bad kid and was being irritating/pisstaking (she had a headache) by not shutting up again LMAO 😭😭)

but like, I did manage to finish my packing up so yay!!! win!! ^^ (it was fucking exhausting.)

sister didn't do jackshit though (and mum was tired because of us so she didnt rlly do much), so room still looked a fucking train wreck but my stuff was all done, u get me?

anyways, ENOUGH CONTEXT!!!! like 20 minutes ago, mum gets off her phone then up from the chair she's sitting on and goes to plug her phone in my charger BUT GUESS WHAT YALL?? HOMEGIRL PACKED THAT SHIT UP FRFR ✌️😙

and so in jokey way, she's like "damn really? of all the things you could've packed, the only thing you packed was the charger? typical *irl name*, always tryna ruin my day"

and shes saying this while shaking her head and trying to find the charger she nicked off my dad (while murming some random curses*)

The Oh Hellos – Hello My Old Heart

Here's a little something I've been working on for the past week :D

The Gravity Falls brainrot has set in for good and these two idiots won't leave my head so I'm making it everyone's problem now

Bucktommy Fixit where they reconnect next year and become friends - albeit ones who mostly converse via text and only really see each other on calls or running into each other at a bar etc. They don’t actually make plans to hang out, they just keep in touch. But keeping in touch turns into daily text conversations about anything and everything which turns into post-shift phonecalls at least once a week.

Meanwhile: Buck is casually dating, maybe more than one person, because he’s not looking to settle down right now he’s just looking to have some fun and meet some interesting people. But he starts dating one guy a little more seriously, to the point he stops dating others.

Also: Tommy’s been seeing a therapist. And doing art therapy. And trying his damndest not to turn into a sad lonely old man. It was a new year’s resolution kind of thing. He’d dated casually but soon realised it was better to just meet his base needs and focus on platonic relationships - like new friends and old friends, acquaintances and coworkers, and what little family he still talks to. 

Someone asks how Buck’s new boyfriend feels about Buck texting his ex-boyfriend so much (and Buck has mixed feelings about all of that: having an ex-boyfriend and a second boyfriend makes him giddy and conflicted all at once). He starts to wonder if he shouldn’t be texting Tommy so much now that he’s dating someone properly. But he doesn’t get the same want to text his boyfriend about his work day or random things in his life, and when they do text it’s brief and he doesn’t respond to Buck’s rambling trains of thought the same way Tommy does. He thinks it’s fine. Not everyone is a texter. And Tommy is his friend and people text their friends all the time while dating or being married.

But it’s different when it’s an ex. And Buck hasn’t told his current boyfriend that the friend he’s always texting with is an ex. Not that current boyfriend is aware of how much they’re texting or how often they talk on the phone. And current boyfriend knows Buck’s ex is called Tommy. And Buck always just says ‘a friend’ whenever current boyfriend asks who pinged him. Never ‘just’ a friend; Tommy will never be that for Buck, despite everything.

Things come to a head late one night after/during a rough shift or after a fight with Buck’s current boyfriend. Buck calls Tommy and vents because Tommy always lets him vent and always listens to what he has to say, and then he broaches what they haven’t discussed since reconnecting months ago: does Tommy ever think about where they’d be right now if they were still together?Buck has taken responsibility for his part in moving too fast, but he wants to know more about Tommy’s headspace now compared to when things ended between them. It’s curiousity in that ‘what if’ sense, but he also wants to know how Tommy is really doing, if he’s opening himself up to people, letting himself be happy, be loved.

There’d been a closure type of conversation not long after they reconnected, with Tommy apologizing and being sincerely happy for Buck and mentioning how he’s been working on himself a lot in the time since. And buck was happy for him but Tommy held back on details about what exactly he was doing and what that meant for him and his future relationships. He wanted Tommy to want to tell him, so he didn’t pry, but he liked the idea of being a friend Tommy could be open and honest with.

“Evan..”

Tommy knows he hates when he calls him ‘Buck’, but he never actually switched back to ‘Evan’, instead just kind of omitted saying his name altogether. Buck wonders what he’s listed as on Tommy’s phone. On Buck’s phone Tommy is ‘TK’, and he’s told more than one white lie to more than one nosey person that it was a firefighter friend from Texas - gay but happily married. He does keep in touch with T.K., but there’s periods between his letters on Buck’s contact list.

Tommy already said he’s sorry. He’s already told Buck it wasn’t his fault, that he would’ve ended things eventually even if they took their time with every step and that’s on him, it’s his issues and his life, not Buck’s.

“I can’t think about that.”

“I think about it all the time.”

Buck has a boyfriend and he’s happy, but he thinks about his ex-boyfriend slash current friend and what they could’ve looked like today if Buck had found a way to make Tommy believe he wanted all of him. He tells himself it’s to know himself better, to be better prepared and try harder next time. But he’s kidding himself if he says it’s not because he still has feelings for Tommy.

“You have a boyfriend.”

“Yeah.”

“I just want you to be happy.”

And.. he is. He is happy with current boyfriend. But he was happy with Tommy. And he can’t help wondering if he was happier with Tommy than he is right now, or if Tommy was right and his excitement and wonder about being in a queer relationship got muddled up with how he felt about Tommy. He still doesn’t know. He wishes he knew. 

“I was happy with you.” Tommy sighs over the line but Buck doens’t let him cut things off. “I know you think it was puppy love, and that I didn’t know you well enough, but.” But. He knows Tommy better now. Tommy has opened up to him as a friend, sharing personal details about himself and his past - not everything Buck wants to know and he never could bring himself to ask, but he’s learned things about Tommy in these past few months that he wishes he’d known when they were dating. And he wants to know more. He wants to know it all. 

“But?”

“Sometimes, it works backwards.” Sometimes you get to know someone and fall for them, and then you learn dark things about their past or get a better look at their emotional baggage or they go through a rough time. And some people break up because it’s too much or not what they wanted. But some people simply care more, and become stronger together for it. Buck wanted the chance to know Tommy better, to be there with him through the bad times. He never got to find out how things would’ve gone but he thinks he knows his own heart well enough to know he wouldn’t have abandoned or rejected or hated or been fed up with Tommy because he has a past or he’s imperfect or life threw some crap at him.

Buck knows people are more than they seem. He wants to see them for everything they are, to be trusted with that, the same way he wants to be seen in return and wanted anyway.

“What does?”

“Love.”

Sometimes, you love someone more after you learn the bad stuff - or what they think is bad - not less.

Buck breathes in as Tommy remains quiet.

“I didn’t have to know all of you to love you, Tommy. And whatever you think about how I would’ve reacted to the things you didn’t share with me, you’re wrong. I know I would’ve loved you anyway. And not out of pity, or some misguided infatuation, but because knowing you better means getting to love more of you, it means loving you better.”

Tommy doesn’t respond, and when there’s a bleep from Buck’s phone he thinks Tommy hung up - except he didn’t: it’s a facetime request. They’ve done this a few times before but only for something on a call or because it was easier for Buck to show Tommy what he was talking about in realtime rather than try to send through photos and videos.

Tommy fills his screen looking soft around the edges, hair and clothes and face bed-rumpled. His face is drawn into something that threatens to break Buck’s heart again; it beats in aching memory and yearns in equal measure. You’re good, he wants to say, you don’t deserve what you put on yourself.

I’ve talked about this before but imagine what it’s like for someone in a country/place where eliot is Top Most Wanted and then your tech guy finds a breakout star baseball player on their visual scanner that looks EXACTLY like spencer. but…there’s no way that’s him, right???

and then the next year it happens again but this time it’s some one hit wonder country singer kenneth crane that has like 78 tween-run fangirl blogs dedicated to him. you see a grainy video of him being chased by a horde of screaming teenage girls and ??? no way Eliot Last Thing You’ll Ever See Spencer is a country singer star just. signing pictures of his face right…?

a few months later your intern shows you footage of an eliot lookalike who is in san lorenzo talking about how there is dog fighting in the presidential palace and you just. sigh. because of course. a scant few days later the political geography of the country changes drastically and damien moreau is imprisoned. …interesting

and then a year of silence goes by. he still shows up as blips on the radar but he must have a good hacker working for him because his tracks on the internet are expertly erased.

every time you ask through interagency channels some random interpol guy talks in (condescending?) riddles at you and it also somehow feels like he’s threatening you

and then your friend who recently got into foreign hockey teams sends you a dropyourgloves video of someone called jacques the bear. you immediately get a headache (and watch some more videos because even you can admit this guy is a good hockey player)

and you know he’s a Bad Guy but it’s been admittedly a bit entertaining seeing what claim to fame he will come upon next. and his most recent actions over the few years make you wonder.

a few months later your phone pings because multiple heads of state evacuated from DC. the reason? eliot spencer was in town. you hear two days later a bioterrorist was taken down by… the report was redacted. your hacker tells you spencer and two teammates were behind the successful operation. which, huh.

not even a full year later it is released that spencer is dead and… you don’t know how to feel.

“Jeonghan!” You stopped to catch your breathe, “Why are you running?”

“Because it’s fun!!” The giddy boy responded two feet away from you in the park.

After you and Jeonghan have finished dinner and cleaned up, you both laid on the couch mindlessly scrolling on your phones. Jeonghan’s head was on your lap, you had one hand flicking away at the phone and the other softly combing through his dark brown hair.

“Love,” Jeonghan peeks from his phone to look at you, “let’s take a walk to the park.”

You cocked your head at this sudden plan, “I guess it will be nice to get out of the house for a bit, I don’t really wanna be a couch potato for the rest of the night”

Since the temperature difference from day and night is a little drastic, you grabbed a light jacket and walked hand in hand with Jeonghan.

The two of you didn’t talk as you made your way to the park. It’s a place that Jeonghan likes to visit on his nightly walks, probably because this was where he met you for the first time.

You’re just taking in the white noise of your surroundings — the slight breeze of night rustling through the leaves on the tree, the taps from your shoes as it meets the ground, and the light hums of rhythm coming from the boy in front of you.

His grip on your hand wasn’t too firm, but there was definitely affections to it as he’s slightly swinging your arm back and forth, using his thumbs to gently brush over yours.

As you both reached the entrance of the park you felt the grip on your hand loosen, “come and catch me! If you catch me I’ll give you a surprise!” Jeonghan giggles and starts running off into the park.

Now having your eyes on the prize, you ran after Jeonghan to catch up to him. The park just filled with sounds of giggling, whining, and lots of huffing to catch up your breathes.

Everytime you were just about to catch him, he speeds up or takes a turn. You stopped at your track to regain some air back in your lungs, admittedly, you were not prepared for this much physical exercise at night.

Jeonghan sees that you’ve stopped at your tracks and looked back at you, “love are you alright? Was I pushing a little too hard?” There was worry in his voice, but you saw this as the perfect opportunity to run up to him.

You made a full sprint towards Jeonghan that completely surprised him, you wrapped your arms around and pulled him in for a hug, “I’ve caught you,” you huffed, trying to catch your breathe for the second time, “what’s my surprise?”

Jeonghan smiles at you endearingly, you weren’t sure if it was the moonlight or the street lamps or both that enhances the sparkle that he had in his eyes for you. He cups your face in his hands before placing his lips on yours. The kiss was soft and sweet, filled with passion and desire.

“I wanted to play hide and seek, hiding away my feelings just for you seek my heart. “

pocket-sized Foul Legacy except you’re fragile and sickly

you met the tiny Abyssal moth when you first moved into your house- at first you thought you had a mouse problem, but you immediately know that’s not the case when you see a small bundle of armor and glimmering fabric huddled in the corner. Childe takes to you very quickly, happily soaking up your kindness and keeping you company, which turns into a wonderful bond; there’s no one he’d rather spend time with than you, even if that time is perching on your shoulder and reading the documents you write for work.

but over time he begins to notice how frail you are, how often you fall ill and are confined to your bed, the countless days you have to send a letter to your place of work apologizing for not being able to attend. yet even on the days you’re burning with fever, too sick to walk, you still smile gently to a frantic Foul Legacy, petting his head with a finger to reassure him that you’ll be alright.

sometimes a man with long brown hair drops by to take care of you- Childe’s heard you call him “Zhongli”- and Foul Legacy watches from the shadows as Zhongli makes you tea and brings you medicine. the moment he leaves, Childe attempts to mimic his actions, fluttering around the house to fetch small snacks and any pills you might need- he peeps worriedly when the food goes uneaten, nudging your hand towards it. you must eat something, you’ll wither away if you don’t!

sometimes you’re awake enough to hold him in your hands, grip weak as he leans against your warm skin, too warm for a human mortal. he hates how useless he is, how he can’t do anything as you suffer time and time again, reminding him of just how quick and fleeting human lives are. you simply smile, tired but still with so much love to give, and scritch under his chin with a finger, lulling him to sleep so he doesn’t hear the sharp, jolting coughs you let out a few moments later.

basically. after the whole fight in s13 tucker runs away, now as the meta. and as the rest are doing whatever brick sees him missing, with doc missing too, goes back in to look for tucker. he finds him, but he runs. so he runs too, without telling any of the reds/his team.

brick is actually miltary-trained. just in a different country. so he's still able to hold his ground against basically a powerhouse. he still gets beaten whenever he encounters the meta. its a constant struggle of getting to tucker and finding a way to get him home, back to the reds and blues, no matter how much he says he "needs to find church". he chases tucker all over the galaxy. eventually he finds the reds (and caboose) again, even for a brief second.

they escape, sarge still dies. and brick steals tuckers sword, a panicked angry filled attempt to bring tucker home and end all this. he rushes back to Outpost 1A. restless and in a state that displays how much he has not slept and is basically a paranoid state, wayy more talkative compared to his usual quietness.

tucker arrives. they fight for the last time. they get tucker back, and brick gets stabbed.

hes rushed to the hospital, and in post canon comes back finally able to relax with tucker back and well. they hug and its all awesome and everyone does their weird shit now they're retired
