Spiders I’m kinda chill with sctually. I never liked killing them, I came from a pretty animal loving family so we usually put them outside. I think the control part scares me. In S5, that ep about Francis, I really got to see another part of The Web which is addiction. It fits so well. Trying to avoid something, knowing that’s it’s for your health or safety or well-being but going back to it just eug

10. The Eye

I feel like we don’t see many statements about The Eye since our main guy is involved with it. I don’t like feeling known though. I like my privacy. That’s why I have a diary. When I was younger I used to be scared some of my plushies were watching so I would turn them around 💀

I’m kinda constantly aware of death. I remember when I was younger and we would drive past a cemetery, I’d get this terrible dread in me. I used to imagine my funeral also (DOOONT QUESTION WHY) and coming from a religion that deals a lot with death, It’s just something I’ve always known. Also I’m scared of dying young. Or my friends dying.

8. The Flesh

The meat industry kinda irks me. Listening to any episode relating to The Flesh makes me lose my appetite. There was that one ep I think in s1 or s2 where that guy got his Achilles tendon cut and that made me SCREAM god. Don’t get me started on Jared Hopworth, that motherfucker.

7. The Corruption

I know I said I come from a family of animal lovers but NOOOO HELL NO GOD. Worms burrowing into your skin is NOT COOL. Jane Prentiss was constantly making me feel like gross. Also I got eczema so I feel itchy a lot so listening to any eps relating to The Corruption is so not fun

6. The Spiral

I mean if Helen Distortion is with me I wouldn’t mind ❤️ but also being in an endless hallway with nauseating colors would actually make me go insane. ALSO DOCTOR DAVID THAT BITCHBOY. I think statements relating to The Spiral when separated from the Distortions are so interesting. Like the homophobic vase. But I think being not believed in or doubting my surroundings would suck.

5. The Extinction

I think in this day and age, it’s hard not to see stuff on the news that shows our earth deteriorating bit by bit. Also the rise of ai has been something on my mind lately as an artist and as a student.

4. The Vast

So I actually jumped off an 100 foot tower at this white water river rapids thing and guys, I was actually going to turn around, I could feel my stomach dropping. I love rollercoasters though. But then there’s that part of The Vast, the psychological part about your insignificance which is something I think about a lot. Also deep waters scare me.

3. The Lonely

I never wanna go back to freshman year 💀 I like people. I like being in peoples presence. Sometimes I like my alone time but I always this deep fear about people not liking me and ending up alone.

I think the thought of my loved ones being replaced and not noticing or even noticing scares me enough. I’m always a lil paranoid what can I say. I’ve always been scared of clowns actually. If a clown gets near me, I will be screaming bloody murder

1. The Desolation

I am always scared for the security of my loved ones. I tell my mom I love her every night cause I’m scared she’ll die in the night and my last words to her won’t be kind words. The desolation is all about destruction, loss, fire, etc which is everything I hateee. I mean I like fire sometimes like I love lighting matches but I’ve always been scared of burning alive. Also the desolation loves taking things away from happy people with fulfilled lives and I’m pretty happy right now. Every statement from The Desolation has made me sick. My parents are immigrants and that also seems to be a popular target for The Desolation so. Yeah.

Having a read of this website and coming up with notes for my magic system as I go.

I like the feel of runic and ritualistic magic. For one, I think having spells you can cast off the cuff opens up too many doors. I want to have a world where it's pre electricity, but runes can kind of take the place of a lot of electrical devices. So like, there's no kettle but there is a hot plate rune that takes a couple hours to permanently carve into the tabletop and that's like a kettle

I think the rune thing is an easy and safe way to access magic, but isn't the only way. It is also the legal way though. I think there's laws about only runing yourself or objects you own, and strict rules for having runes that impact other people. Kinda like gun ownership is Australia, you need to have no criminal history and carry your license with you, that kind of thing, if you want to impact other people with your magic

So like healers have healing runes carved into their skin that can impact other people. But it's not exactly a spell they cast at the time, they've already done that with the runes

Can you force carve healing runes on someone else and then they suddenly have the ability to heal? Maybe. I think yes. It's illegal, but yes. But they have less precision about their healing because there is a natural knack to certain magic types, in the same way some people can draw and others can run

To get around the licensed there's a lot of runes that appear to do simple things (make water, make breeze, make light) but can be weaponised by pushing extra magic through them. This is the grey space of magic, and most adventuring parties do this rather than get the license for violent runes (only soldiers really have that access).

Make light can be done bright enough to blind someone, or suddenly enough to cause a temperature shift and catch them on fire. Make water can happen with make cold and you put someone in a block of ice. But when asked you can just be like I'm a cook! I need to make things cold sometimes lol wut

Taking a breath to think about broader world impact

Unfortunately if you have make water and make heat, then you have electricity (all electricity is basically steam). But I don't want electricity. Maybe because people have access to public amenities via magic purposes, an electric grid is excessive. Only rich people or eccentrics use electricity for the lark. And with that there's less invention cos it's less relied on. Okay fine, electricity exists but not like street lights or phones

Can everyone be runed? Yeah they can but I think it's very restricted in who is allowed to. There's off books runing, for sure, but if you go to school to be a runer then you're gonna charge for it and the license is expensive to keep people honest. It's more like being a doctor than a tattoo artist, there's really government sanctioned PD you gotta keep up with and a whole registry and so on

A bad rune can kill you or make you dangerous and be erratic, so people won't tend to rune themselves on a whim unless they've got a high risk lifestyle

Does farming benefit from magic? Yeah but I think like in real life, we have to weigh resources. If it's a seven year degree to be a runic master, and many people fail cos it requires basically the skills of a surgeon, are you gonna send your surgeons out to the farms or to the dam that's starting to crack or to the wounded from the last bushfire? And the runic masters want the cushy jobs cos they're basically rich pricks so they don't like to go to every farm and cast the same steady weather rune they'd so so rather hang out at a wine bar after making another specialised healer and enjoy a humble brag "oh well I did one today who can cure cancer, of course that's a skill only I have to share, but your common broken bone guy is so impressive of course"

So magic has been structured into a world that still has inequality. And it can't be a fix all, because of the political system. Great!

Take another breath. How did the characters get their magic?

Obed absolutely dropped out of runic master school and went off book to be a necromancer

Quail I think is a rich brat and went the legal route. He's got a bunch of spells down his arms he can creatively cast. I'll think about how being dead might impact that, I think maybe the resurrection fucked with his runes and they aren't working rn but he might be able to fix it

The healer from his hero group is also legal, she has very battle healing runes on her so can't do old wounds or illness. She's really a reactive healer, has to be present when the wound was got. Hence why she can also fight, she needs to be in the fray to be useful

The other two in the hero group aren't runed

What other things might be runed?

Like, bakeries would have an oven with runic temperature control. I think basically anything where I go electricity irl, I'd make it runes. So poor people have less and rich people have more. And there's differences is quality of your rune, like someone might have a runic ceiling light but it turns itself off every hour which drives them up the fucking wall but who can afford to fix it ya know

Long distance messaging. I think it's gotta be pretty restricted. Paired tablet you can write on and the message appears on the other kinda thing.

Barriers and alarms? I think runes are hard to remove safely so these take a lot of paperwork to get done legally, but yeah. But runes can be destroyed by just smashing them, however if you do it in the wrong order you might change the rune design along the way and who knows what the fuck you might set off (shout out to the local fable of someone who broke their self cleaning pot and it set off fireworks for a week straight before the palace sent a pro to disable it safely)

What kinds of runes are illegal? Well, necromancy. There are some that only soldiers can get, like any of the straight up harm or kill runes. Time fuckery is probably considered impossible, but is also explicitly illegal because people have died horribly trying. And I think runes that control other people are illegal, so like telekinesis or posession or stuff like that

I think runes aren't charity, the king makes most of his money not through high taxes but by owning all the rune masters. So they have to charge quite a lot, and the more time consuming the higher the cost.

It is tiring to make runes. It is focus heavy and detail oriented and you have to have magic flowing the whole time. It's a real fucking work out. Feels the same kind of tired you get after white water rafting, physically drained and your attention is worn out

Casting a rune is also tiring, but in a different way. It's more like getting hit, having your energy pulled from you. That's why the average person prefers runed items (I think items can't be healers, there needs to be a human cost for each healing).

Some last thoughts

They can be blatant or subtle. You have to rune in a different material to what you're working on, but it can be the same colour. Most object runes are carved and inlaid for longevity, but you can do it by dragging a stick in some sand, it'll just die when the tide comes in

Healers tend to have white tattoos done on their skin

Black tattoos are cheaper, so cooks and other trade workers who want a rune will do that. Off the grid wizards, too

You can have your rune done in your skin colour, or inlaid under your skin to be secretive. But that is expensive!

The rune carvers don't have many runes on themselves, although some may have a few small details along their fingers inlaid with sparkling gems to steady their hands. Most of them use items to cast immediate magic runes through, like a stone that heats water when you drop it in a bucket

It's a sign of being working class to be runed, the rich are not (visibly) runed

What do they look like? I think they start with individual veins and then form into something more structured, depending. I pulled some random pictures off duck duck go for vibes, none of them are quite right but they get the idea across

Less of the vein stuff for objects, but there's still a movement to the rune. Like it pulls energy through it from the universe to work, in one end and out the other and along the way it casts a spell

Okay! That's my off the cuff magic system that works with the characters and gives enough restrictions to keep in interesting. I'm gonna use this as my starting point and I'm sure more details will emerge as time goes on and I write more

I came up with this AU a couple of months ago, and since a moot encouraged me to share with the class I might as well (plus I also wanna draw this AU lol)

I'll call this au Be Born as a placeholder rn lol

SO this au starts right after HMS managed to find a way to end the loop, and they harmonise permanently. Whole basically gains the courage to confess to his crush (still don't have a name for her) and she also confesses her mutual feelings, Blah Blah Blah, they date, yada yada yada, they get married and have a pair of twins.

I also have to say that Whole, whom I will call CJ from this point forward (Does NOT mean Chonny Jash, its a diff name, same acronym) is aware and remembers HMS quite a bit. Most of his memories/knowledge of them has faded since the harmonising was over 6 years ago, but he still remembers a few key details like their roles, some of their names and a blurry image of what they look like.

Soo like the VERY FUNCTIONAL human being CJ is, decides to name his twin sons after two of the voices in his head. Wow, clap for the man everyone whoooo-. The names he uses are Artemis and Apollo. A year later, they have another child whom he names, say it with me! ATLAS WHO WOULD HAVE GUESSED AHH. Atlas was born on the same day as Artemis and Apollo so you'd argue their triplets lol.

OHHH this is a normal au there couldn't possibl- SIKE THIS SHET HAS ✨️MAGIC✨️ BECAUSE PLAIN HIGH SCHOOL AUS ARE OVERRATED /J /SILLY /LH

And this is where I ruin the au🧍‍♂️🧍‍♂️🧍‍♂️

OK SO during the time the twins still weren't born, Heart began to wonder what it must be like to live life as your own person, to have a childhood, go school- etc etc (HMS split up into existence when CJ was 18 not too long before he dropped out of college) he starts rambling to Mind and Soul about this, Mind tries to shrug it off as a plain "What if" sanario or daydream but also ends up thinking the same.

This is also fueled by the fact that they spent majority of their existence fighting each other never living an even remotely normal day in their life.

Soul wants both of them to be happy, plus he also starts to get infected with this desire and curiosity. SO he somehow finds out he can cut off a prong of the trident and make it a dagger which he can link Heart or Mind to making them particularly function as a soul.

Soul also wants to be with his halves so he asks for Heart's blindfold and Mind's crown to create a puppet that can serve thr roles of all three of them. Which he names Harmonia (AYO OMORIHMS AU FORSHADOWING?!?!?!)

Harmonia is basically a perfect copy of CJ lol. Soul leaves Harmonia alone to look after CJ with his trident(now pretty much a spear) a crown of a ruler who has stepped down from his throne and a blindfold used to protect its previous wearer from the blinding lights of the Sun.

You can kinda just ignore that part if you want (still on the fence with it but I'll most likely go with it) cus it doesn't really effect the story if you were to erase it. All that happens mostly is Deju Vu

I don't really need to explain which HMS is which kid hah.

I'm now gonna explain the three kids.

First is Artemis, who is TECHNICALLY the older twin (he came out first). Artemis is based on the right brain being not only the emotional side but also the creative and artistic side. So yes... he is an artist. Quite extroverted, still likes his peace and quiet, yeahhhh

Second is Apollo, the "younger" twin (funny because he's the tallest out of the three). Ehh, you know the drill, straight A's student... hot nerd even (JOKE. DONT KILL ME. NO. NUH UH. I WAS JOKING EH) the classic "grades over mental health because" guy. Monotone and deep voice but is surprisingly approachable (unless he put you on his "No likey" list based on first impressions lol).

Last but not least, Atlas, the poor younger sibling who keeps getting caught in the crossfire between his two older siblings. He's more on the athletic side, being hockey team (suggested by randa). The most energetic of the three, as a kid, he often asked his brothers to play with him, which is why the trio grew up to be really close.

Uhhhh some trivia/fun facts to maybe explain their characters a bit more:

• Apollo and Artemis "fight" from time to time but its mostly "YOU FATASS, YOU ATE ALL MY KITKATS" then dramatic pause then "Dad made waffles."

• Apollo's favourite book is No Longer Human by Osamu Dazai.

• Artemis is the shortest of the three and gets flamed by Apollo about it

• CJ doesn't have a favourite child

• Apollo is the one that sits on the front passenger seat of the car, and will die fighting for it.

• Apollo is a cat person while Artemis is a dog person.

• Sexualities

His whole "thing", to oversimplify it, is that he is OBSESSED with the science of magic and will do anything to find out more about it. Btw in Escapism magic is super vague and super illegal punishable by death, which is why most of the plot takes place in the very secluded Taylor Manor, since Aster is magic and Charles and Beatrice studying magic is. illegal,.. But yeah! Charles is RIDICULOUSLY passionate about human anatomy + physiology. He becomes obSESSED with Aster because she's the first and only magic person he knows, and she's living as at the manor with him and Beatrice (Aster got found out as a magician and had to run away to avoid being executed, and ran into the manor!).

But it doesn't stop at Charles just being interested in magic, he wants to make some kind of breakthrough. Find the root "cause", find out every "why" and "how" because he is TERRIFIED he'll be forgotten if he doesn't do anything noteworthy. His mother died of illness and his father killed himself soon after when Charles was 18, which gave him a DEBILITATING fear of death and a horrible sense of his own mortality. Like he calculated the most likely amount of days he had left to live (considering he would stay healthy and care for himself, which he starts kinda forgetting to do as the story progresses and his mental state detiorates). He would fantasize about how many respected Men Of Science would be at his funeral and all the nice things they'd say about him. He'd hoped that his discoveries and theories would be taught in schools. This desperate need to be liked and known after his death is what ultimately pushes all his decisions and causes his demise in the end (his tragic flaw, I think the term is?) He performs way too many experiments and procedures on Aster in way too short of a time span not necessarily just because he's impatient, but because he's disgustingly aware that he has a time limit. He wants to get as much done as possible before he kicks the bucket and disregards not just his own well being to do so, but Aster and Beatrice's too.

Beatrice and Charles had been best friends since they were ten (autism and adhd dynamic) and they are RIDICULOUSLY close. These two idiots would do anything for each other, which is why despite all the horrendous shit Charles does and how horribly he treats Aster (Beatrice's GIRLFRIEND!!) Beatrice still stays by his side til the end.

About how Charles treats Aster: it's this horrible mix of him being completely enamored with her, being so fascinated and obsessed with her magic and wanting her to like him and putting her up on a pedestal just for being magic, but also seeing her as just that. Her magic. lt's mostly on a subconscious level but Charles only really cares about keeping Aster healthy and even alive because she's magic, and without Aster, he wouldn't have this great studying resource!

His devotion to Aster is damn near religious, which isn't helped when after all those procedures he starts considering that maybe the cause of her magic is from something beyond humanity, holy almost (in the most agnostic way) but BECAUSE of that, BECAUSE he considers her to be at least partially beyond human comprehension, he doesn't consider her fully human, and doesn't treat her like one. anyone who knows me is probably sick of hearing this BUT ITS THE INHERENT DEHUMANIZATION THAT COMES WITH BEING TREATED LIKE A GOD!! he doesn't see aster!! Sure, maybe what he sees is amazing and beautiful and wondrous but he doesn't see Aster. If that makes sense.

Whether she's treated like a specimen or like an idol, either way, Charles doesn't give her the humanity she deserves. He's fucking INSANE!!

He starts off relatively Normal (or at least good at Acting Normal) (he is scarily good at masking, and before he started Going down the drain so to speak. he prided himself on being a gentleman) but yeah as the story progresses he just gets more and more obsessed with Aster and finding out WHAT is so SPECIAL about her. WHY was she given magic and what gave it to her, etc.

He never gets ANY sort of answer btw. No leads, no clues, nothing, so he keeps pushing her to do MORE dissections, MORE experiments, he's out of anesthesia but he's too impatient to wait to get more so he'll strap her to a table and start making incisions and hope Beatrice doesn't hear.

All of this torture that he puts Aster through eventually (after a lot of other stuff goes down) causes his own demise. After four years, Charles does or says something that is the last straw for Aster, so she takes a nearby candelabra and bashes in the side of his skull with it, killing him. Second degree murder I guess: in the moment, she grew furious and impulsively decided to use the candelabra and attack him. Oops! He's not moving!

As I've alluded to, Charles' story (i like to think at least) is easy to see as a tragedy. His entire life he wanted to do something of notoriety, he wanted a legacy after his inevitable death, but BECAUSE of that fear, because he pushed himself and those around him to the limit, he died with barely anyone left alive who knows his name. He fucking sucks don't get me wrong. But also he was 22 years old and so, so goddamn scared. The fear was near constant. He could try to bury it, but it was always there, this horrible sense of dread looming over him. But once again, he fucking sucks. He tortured Aster for years (even if he was convinced it was for a good cause) and him and Beatrice are just a mess, emotionally (codependency! Woo!).

The one thing to remember about him though is that: he is a silly goofy guy. He is a nerdy greasy sleazeball pathetic wet cat of a man. he is a strange little loserboy. He is a dorky weirdo and he needs so much help. wahoo!

Hiya, back again with more MHA fic prompts– or more like one prompt with two versions of it. Anyways, let's get started!

Delinquent Class 1-A Reform Program

They were all in juvie but were handpicked by Nezu and Aizawa for the program.

m*ne*a is added bc he has family on the school board. Neither of them thought it was a good idea.

They have group therapy and live in dorms on campus bc they are living their sentences at UA

Maybe Kouda and Sero are in juvie together. And it's kinda shitty so there are bugs everywhere. So, Sero helps Kouda get over his fear of bugs.

What they're in for:

QUIRKISM: Midoriya (blamed him for Bakugou getting arrested so they called an anonymous tip saying he was talking about selling his notebooks. Which as we know have extensive info on heroes), Shouji (just bc his looks smh), Shinsou (he used his quirk to save himself from being killed– either from bullies, abusive fosters, or abusive parents), Ojiro & Tsu (at a protest and got arrested– it was mostly peaceful and for heteromorphs. They do not know each other), Tokoyami (see Quirk Accident(s)), Hagakure (see Pranks/Vandalism),

QUIRK ACCIDENT(S): Tokoyami (Dark Shadow went overboard defending him against his bullies who followed him after the movies to beat him up. They did not believe that he didn't do it on purpose), Satou (he hurt some people during a sugar rush), Kaminari (someone deliberately scared him in the pool, knowing he would spark. They scared him so bad that he short-circuited. Some people might have died)

PRANKS/VANDALISM: Hagakure (she pulled pranks all the time at school to get back at her bullies. However, nobody could prove it was her but they all knew it was . So, they framed her for stealing things), Sero (he does both but is a famous graffiti artist which is what landed him in juvie. He was caught defacing an endeawhore billboard).

VIOLENCE: Bakugou (being himself and how he went too far– surprisingly it wasn't on Mido but Mido did intervene) Kirishima (he beat a guy half to death for being a pedo to Mina), Mina (punched a cop for being too rough with a cooperating Kiri. He was letting himself be arrested but the cop knew the pedo so), Jirou (same thing but also at the heteromorph protest she decked a hero for being handsy), Iida (for vigilantism- it started with getting revenge for someone hurting his brother but then another vigilante straightened him out), Shouto (the vigilante that straightened him out. His sperm-donor let him be arrested to 'teach him a lesson').

FRAUD(?): Yaomomo (made things w/ her quirk and gave them to the poor some being yen or diamonds), Aoyama (was raised by grifters, con artists and he was involved in several of their schemes. They shifted all the blame on him, pretended it was all him, and acted like concerned parents)

THIEVERY: "Hagakure", Aoyama, Uraraka (she was really hungry and maybe homeless), Kouda (technically- he released several animals from several facilities that were being held captive and experimented on– Nezu likes him lol)

Midoriya, Shinsou, Kaminari, Hagakure, Kuroiro (quirkism), Shishida (again quirkism and maybe a quirk accident), Shouji, Tokoyami, Tokage (quirkism but also probably pranks), Monoma (again quirkism), Kamakiri (again quirkism but also bc he beat up his bullies and harassers everytime), Hatsume (blew up too many things, too many times), Toga, (you know why, you could use the canon story of why she ran away), OCs(?), and m*ne*a ARE IN THE PROGRAM.

Hound Dog is their homeroom teacher. They have group therapy sometimes.

Most of them are there for discriminatory reasons and don't actually deserve to be there. Some were there for more lighthearted reasons like pulling pranks. Or both. And others deserved to be there and redemption doesn't seem to be in their future or it is just very far.

A lot of them fight for a chance to be in the hero course. While some want to go into other courses. Though not all of them get the chance to make it into either (the OCs and unredeemed grapist).

There are times where students are removed from the program. Sometimes it's because of the three strikes and you're out, stipulation. To be considered a strike it has to be something serious. Like physical bullying, sexual harassment, and etc.

Other times it's because the student never belonged there in the first place. A lot of these students still want to stay in the program even if they don't need to be there. Either it's because then they'd just be in ‘boring’ Gen Ed or they made some friends and don't want to leave them (ppl who actually understand them). Or its bc Hound Dog thinks they need to be there to heal. With these students if they are negatively affected by the program they are pulled. Such as being bullied or triggered and it's bad for their mental health.

Final exams are the program’s check point. They stay in the program if by final exams they haven't made good progress. Or if Hound Dog recommends the stay for a while longer. There are also students who are moved into the program after final exams. I.e. Bakugou and maybe m*ne*a

After school and Gen Ed classes when heroics is going on they have classes about discrimination, bullying, sexual harassment, managing quirks, and so on and so forth.

Some villains target UA students because of the LoV like it's an internet trend.

How about during the USJ a group of the villains stormed the main campus and all the teachers had already left for the USJ. Believing its security would protect the remaining students and that the threat was only at the USJ. Unfortunately, they were wrong. Luckily our Delinquents come to the rescue.

Sir Nighteye asks Midoriya if he's the one who refused OFA and is pissy about it. It's at his internship bc Mirio thought that Sir could help with Mido's analysis.

Self-defense is an extracurricular/club. Ecto, Eraser, and Snipe teach it but mostly Ecto. Those trying for the hero course take it.

Also RG knows them very well bc Kamakiri rubs off on them.

They also have dorms on campus before everyone else.

My thoughts on Edward because idk I’ve got that type of autism ._.

Watching him the first time was actually so amazing. He reminds me of a slasher because how scary and foreboding he is in a lot of those scenes. And don’t even get me STARTED on the lighting! That scene in Arkham where only one eye is illuminated, the way the clear glasses reflect light- it’s all completely amazing. I also really love the home brew look and aspects. It makes him feel so much more real which in turn makes him scarier! And lemme be real for a sec… I kinda… maaaaaayybe agreed with him a little bit. Only a little cause he killed a bunch of civilians (obviously). He really does bring up a relevant, very real issue with a crazy amount of important officials. Also- he basically wins! The Batman didn’t figure things out in time and the plan completely went off. The shooting was a little iffy, but even then his plan WORKED. My dad jokes about this Batman being a terrible detective which I think I may agree with, though that just gives him more space to grow as a character. Maybe Edward didn’t get recognized in the end, but he did essentially win that movie which is such a fresh take for Batman and I love Matt Reeves.

Paul Dano is also just a really amazing actor and I am SO glad he was cast and is now getting bigger roles cause he totally deserves it. And I don’t know how to describe it, but I can’t imagine Edward with anyone else’s face, y’know? It’s like round and unassuming and like soft. But then he’s the main, crazy antagonist. That reveal of him being this weird little guy was actually hilarious and a bit chilling at the same time. Paul also just really deeply understands the characters he plays which is shown in his writing for the comics.

Now, the COMICS! I know people hate on it and I know it’s partially deserved, but Steven Subick was a really good pick for the artist. The muted tones, messy panels- It’s grimy and messy and perfect for the ~vibes~ I imagine Edward has. It’s also really good at reflecting the sort of rot and disease in his mind. Absolutely amazing- though I think Dave Mckean would’ve been even better.

The story and mind that Paul Dano shows is so interesting. It shows his complex motivations and how he got to the point where he’d literally flood an entire city. The issue about his childhood is chilling and sympathetic. I love a sympathetic villain. It also really sets up a lot of themes for his character like drowning the rat and his love of chemistry and puzzles. The 5th issue was a fantastic stylistic choice with so many interesting details and elements. It also has some really funny (if not dark) moments. In that 6th issue, he is SO BADASS WTF? He gets a guy chomped in half by a fucking saltwater crocodile (which it’s so big that must be the species)! Then he fucks with his own boss so hard he hangs himself like OMG?? And he saves that lady! That might be one of the most pivotal moments just because it shows that he does have good in him. And yeah some of those final panels are goofy as hell, but cope ig. I really loved the comic and looked forward to it each month once I discovered it.

Also, although it’s never outright stated, it’s very VERY clearly implied that he’s autistic. He starts talking later, is very smart otherwise, has trouble with social skills, and literally gets called “Rain man” by his coworker. I feel like making the Riddler allistic would be completely stupid. At his base, hes a guy who likes riddles and puzzles (usually to an obsessive degree), and feels the need to prove his intelligence to those around him. That screams neurodivergency! Like bro I get it fr.

I also like the short novel, even though it is simple and made for a younger audience. It’s interesting to see a teenage Edward Nashton (Edweird 😭) delivering food on his ratty old bike. It also mentions that he’s pretty bad in school which I would definitely not have guessed considering his whole thing is being super fuckin smart. And I absolutely LOVE how he burns down the orphanage. It’s a huge character moment and tbh just makes me very happy cause it shows us one of his first crimes which is fun.

For Batman ll, I’m really interested to see where that takes his character. Paul Dano already said he would reprise the role for it so he will be in there- even if only for a short while. They clearly set something up between him and the Joker. Now I’m very curious how that will turn out. On one hand, I can see him being manipulated by the Joker for his own selfish gain and ending up as another rat in the gutter. But that writing also wouldn’t really makes sense for the character. The Riddler’s point in the rogues gallery is to reflect his intelligence. He’s often shown as being even smarter! The only thing that gets him is the obsession with leaving little puzzles and games that inevitably lead to his arrest. Obviously though, Reeves has his own spin on basically everything so this might not be the case with this iteration. Basically, I don’t know where Matt Reeves is gonna take this character. I HOPE and PRAY that with Paul Dano beside him they will do him justice, but only time will tell. I’ll probably be off the grid by the time the movie comes out but I’ll make sure to pop by a theatre just for that lol.

TL;DR- I love my blorbo

I hate hate HATE how people make him a twink! NO! Have you seen Paul Dano? That man has the DEFINITION of a dad bod. Obviously they can be different, but they literally almost share a BIRTHDAY. If you change that part of him, he’s a COMPLETELY different character. You can’t make him a twink without destroying his characterization in the process.

Alchemists Apathy Character Bio: Henry Emily

My last chance to get something meaningful out before I post a special tomorrow

Hey remember when I said I was doing William AND Henry character bios? Well, here he is. Henry Emily with... this design. Now tbh, call this a hot take, but I don't mind the design that much. The problem with it is that it highlights a bit of a goody two-shoes side to Henry rather than the morally gray man that both the games and the books paint him out to be. So while I would use this design as a base if I were an artist, I certainly wouldn't one hundred percent use it.

Once again, another brief character introduction. Henry Emily is the co-founder of Fredbear's Family Diner. He made the robots, William handled the business. He had a daughter in both the games and books, and a son in the books. Sammy does make an appearance in this AU, but not as a major player. Sorry all you Sammy fans, while I like the kid, I just didn't know what kind of story I wanted to tell with the kid. Anyway, this post is about Henry. Henry is the reason for Fredbear's creation, William handled the business and Henry made the robots. He also burnt William alongside the other Scrap Animatronics in Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator. In the books, he's a deranged lunatic who made a robot version of his daughter, four versions of them actually, one ended up getting stolen by William. He then killed himself realizing what he had done. Henry's an interesting character and a lot of AU's like to paint him as this stand-up guy, the true hero behind everything... that's not the case here.

Let me get this out of the way, Henry is not a bad guy in canon, both games and books. He's the foil to William after all, but Henry isn't exactly the keen kind of guy Mr. "Let me trap The Puppet that I know houses my daughters soul in a black chubby bear and then shock her if she tries to escape". No wonder Charlie tries to kill you, probably getting tased so much she has to take her anger out on someone. Henry is a morally gray character, he's a good guy, but he's also done things that don't make him the exact perfect contrast to William's evil. Though, I have always liked the idea that some AU's give Henry. Though, my problems with Henry in other AU's stand from the fact that he doesn't usual get an inbetween. He's either a goody two shoes, or he's evil but not to the degree of evil like William. And the times he is morally gray? They kinda make him... basic. I plan to try and rectify that in a way. This AU's Henry is a little bit different.

Just like William, Henry was born at an unknown date at an unknown time. Henry's story is the exact opposite of William's in this AU. While William was the rich one who had everything he wanted and then some, Henry was often left alone with nothing. But his family was happy and that was always something to look forward too. Happiness. Taking an interest in old Disney and Mickey Mouse cartoons, Henry began to make up his own characters, taking inspiration from all different types of animals. Elephants, lions, penguins, all kinds of animals. Henry was truly inspired when he visited a local diner known as "Goldie's Paradise Diner". There, he was entranced by the magic of the mascot suits for the bear and the rabbit, and the third act that involved a jester and a wooden puppet. Henry would make his own designs for a golden bear and a golden rabbit, and around high school, met up with someone who was interested in the doodles. This was the start of the friendship between William Afton and Henry Emily. They even went to DisneyLand together once. By the time they got to college, Henry had fallen in love with a girl named Selina Kyle (haha Henry, you saved her from a life of crime in Gotham City). Selina and Henry fell in love as they both worked at an ice cream store together. Henry would eventually marry her out of college, but not before acing his final project in robotics by creating a prototype animatronic that was planned to be wearable. The prototype was scrapped later on in favor of better designs, Henry used his old drawings as a base and viola, Fredbear and Spring Bonnie were created.

If you didn't see it in the William bio, I'll reiterate it here. Sorry Willry fans, it's not happening in this AU. They got wives and that's good enough for them. If it's any consolation, Henry is Bisexual and William is Pansexual. Though, I imagine William and Henry being quite opposites from each other. While William is the egotist and views himself as better than everyone else, Henry fails to see his creations as good, and is constantly working on new projects involving animatronics to better himself, finally make something he's proud of. The moment Henry sees a flaw, he tries to fix it. He even tried making the springlocks not cause death... to no avail as he was springlocked one time. Luckily, he was rushed to the hospital and recovered. Though, the reason they knew he needed to go to the hospital was because his wife was pregnant with twins, Charlotte and Sammy Emily. Both of them were born one second away from each other, but Sammy was born first. Henry truly loved his family, he saw them as things to protect with all his life, unlike William, who could not give a flying fuck what happened to his family.

William and Henry are quite the polar opposites, Henry's shy, William's outgoing. William's an egotist, Henry puts himself down too much. The moment The Big Bite happened, Henry immediately shut down the location while William wanted to keep it open. Henry tried to find the flaw in Fredbear when William saw no flaws in the animatronic. Henry closed down Fredbear's and did everything in his power to forget about Fredbear's, it was where his daughter died after all. Henry was so focused in his work after that, wanting to make sure that the rest of his family was safe, but because he focused so much on their safety, he never spent any time with them and even forbid Sammy from going to Freddy's. Henry did abuse his children, but not like how William would. Henry at one point slapped Sammy away, and immediately felt pity over it. Simply telling him to go away in a calm voice. One day, Selina and Sammy were gone, divorce papers were on the table, already signed. Henry was left alone, and the worst part was that he got a call from the police, asking him to see them. Henry was a suspect in the missing children's case alongside many others. Eric Smith, Ralph Gardner, and his partner William Afton. They were all let go due to lack of evidence but at least a month later, William and Henry were fired from Fazbear Enterprises after a restructuring of Fazbear Entertainment. Henry sadly took his things and left the next day, planning on trying to move on from Fazbear Entertainment. He tried to get in contact with his wife and son, but he couldn't find them.

Henry turned back to the only thing he knew would comfort him, animatronics. More springlock characters that would never make it into restaurants, more toys that reminded Henry of Charlie, and then a set of animatronics that were cheaply made. These would end up being the Mediocre Melodies. Henry would use them on a nationwide tour, hoping to find his wife and son in the crowd. But when it ended and he was still at square one, he gave up. Henry left himself alone with his creations, the only thing that brought him peace. He shut himself out from the outside world, but that didn't stop Fazbear's horror stories from leaking in. Another bite, a franchisee program, more children dying. It was absolutely crazy, and Henry wanted nothing to do with it. However, when he heard of Fazbear's Fright burning to the ground, he looked to find that his son's charred body was found in the building. Henry breathed heavily after reading that Sammy was found dead in the building, being burnt to death in the fire. Henry decided that enough was enough and started to link incidents to each other, and what he started linking made him disgusted. But he knew it was the truth, William Afton was a vicious murderer, and he needed to stop him. Henry recorded himself one recording, talking about what he had uncovered and cursing himself for not realizing it sooner. But he developed a plan, to call them all back. All of them. Together in one place.

It took two years until Henry was able to execute his plan in 2025. Creating the Lefty animatronic to lure and encapsulate The Puppet. Using Charlie's bracelet code to lure her, using the music box to calm The Puppet, and in case Charlie or Melody tried anything to ruin the plan, they would be shocked. Henry knew that his daughter was inside of The Puppet, but felt this was the only way to keep her in check. As for the others, he knew Afton would come, but Elizabeth and the other Funtimes needed to be lured. He managed to accurately simulate a child and use that to lure the Funtimes to his location. Then, he would purchase a location off of the Franchisee program and hire Michael on as a co-owner. Michael was unaware of the trap, or unaware of Henry's involvement. Henry kept it that way, he didn't want to take any risks. Michael lured all the animatronics and salvaged them. By the end of the week, there was a fire. Henry burnt it all to the ground, with everyone inside. No one survived, not even Henry. Henry freed the last remaining souls, and burnt himself alongside it, allowing the nightmare to finally be over.

While Fazbear Enterprises struggled to get back into business, Henry's plan had worked. Afton was gone, and the remaining souls he set out to free were freed. He and the others went to live in a plain of happy memories and go on adventures with the Fazbear characters. As for what Fazbear Enterprises did, they initiated project "Clean Slate". Seeing as how they couldn't paint their owners in a bad light, they went out of their way to rewrite them to be good people. William was seen as a caring and loving father who killed to bring back his son and daughter, and Henry was a goody two shoes man who was oblivious and clueless to William's crimes and would plan to stop him. It worked and that's how the owners were viewed as. Henry's past had seemingly been forgotten, but if Henry were able to see that, he wouldn't care. He accomplished what he set out to do, and seeing his son and daughter again made him the happiest he could ask for.

Nikki transfers to the fashion school late very far into high school, just as exams are going to start (because of a sudden house move for her parents’ work? undecided). Despite her being new to the school, Nikki learns quickly grasps styling, even without any tutoring or extra classes. With her own intuition and newly learned knowledge, she scores highly in the styling exams, impressing the students around her. Bobo, Nikki, and Lunar become fast friends, and then go on to share a dorm room. Momo is still a cat, I guess people just treat him as a little brother to Nikki?! 😭 (also undecided)

Nidhogg was also a late transfer over to the school (for unknown reasons right now…). He tried to become president of the student council but it’s hard for new people to become elected, however Nanari (let’s say she’s the most popular girl in the school, royce is also up there in the social ranking) saw something special in his skills. People are impressed, begin to trust him, things happen, and he becomes the president woo! Of course he appointed Yvette to be his secretary, as he does originally (lol). Heroes AU: The Cruise

Prologue: The Powerpuff Girls.

Townsville's heroes, and saviors from ultimate doom, heroes from the evils of villains! Have now grown up from little girls to their teens, and eventually turning 18 years old.

They retired briefly in High School, in order to pursue Academics, Blossom was training up to be either an engineer, or a scientist like the Professor, for years she's been building a thesis on Chemical X, which has a long history, if you asked her about it she would go off on where exactly it came from, why it's so powerful, etc., etc., and has won multiple science fairs in a row, but she could never really beat her true mortal rival and enemy Mandark! His smug grin every time boils her blood, thankfully both Mandark's rivals are friends, mhm, Dexter is friends with Blossom, and together they come up with amazing science experiments, Brick will help on occasion too, he's more of a math and statistics kind of guy, than a science guy, but he's good friends with Blossom, and might have a tiny crush on her, so he's willing to help any time.

Meanwhile...

Bubbles and Boomer were in the arts together, Bubbles is still a really good painter, and even made a full scale mural of the Professor, and them in the living room once, where it still stays to this very day, she mostly does landscaping and flower paintings, and sells them for a lot of money, Boomer however is more of a digital artist, he likes making animations, and has thought of making his own series many times, mostly he makes animation memes, and draws fanart, and sells prints of his work online, and at cons.

Meanwhile...

Buttercup and Butch were the main athletes in High School for a very long time, competing in a lot of Competitions since they were like 10, Buttercup was an absolute BEAST at soccer, scoring multiple times in a row, while Butch competed mainly in a good game of Tennis, and was known only as the King of Tennis at School.

Mojo Jojo had retired from villainy at that time as well, because he could not defeat the Powerpuff Girls at his hands! At the moment! But also because he was just in general very very tired, and just wanted to binge his new favorite show Lake Oak, a good drama, but when they killed off his favorite character for being gay, he returned to a life of villainy.

In that time Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup, even Brick, Boomer, and Butch, and yes even Dexter discovered some things about themselves.

Blossom found that she was kind of bi, discovered this when she easily crushed on any nerdy girl or boy or nb person, just falling for them, of course Dexter, and Brick are still friends, despite reaching her level of nerdiness, but yeah.

Brick found himself to be pretty bi himself as well, he even crushed on the same kind of people as Blossom did, intelligent nerdy individuals, and even crushed on Blossom and Dexter for a bit during High School, but they all collectively decided to stay friends, just friends.

Now Dexter discovered that he was an Asexual, but wouldn't mind dating anyone, and got crushes all the time, he's also a bit pan, and is crushing hard on someone currently, but everytime Brick and Blossom asks he kinda clams up a bit about it.

Bubbles discovered that she was aro/ace actually, had no crushes, no interest in doing it with anybody, just wanting to vibe, Boomer feels the same way, and is also aro/ace, although the 2 have had many come to ask them both out, only to have to explain some things, Boomer always gets excited when he finds an aro/ace character, and always has to draw them, pretty much immediately.

Now Buttercup found that she was a big lesbian, loved girls, any athletic girl, and Butch found himself to be very gay for athletic guys, very very VERY gay for athletic guys. The amount of athletic people Buttercup and Butch fawn over together is very high, if you asked them who their crush is, they'd probably short circuit thinking of all the muscly ones they've crushed on.

Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup were thrust completely back into crime fighting during their sophomore year, when trouble struck once more, and evil reared its ugly head, with new and old villains coming out of the woodworks to stop them from having a normal High School experience.

But they still manage to save the day! In the end! Nothing can stop them really, they're the Powerpuff Girls! Of course it's that same old story most tell of a High School kid balancing their academic life, social life, and fighting giant monsters, and dastardly villains life.

Why is that a thing? Oh well!

Finally though they reach the age of 18, and get to take a break, a cruise might be nice.

🍈: he thinks fate is bogus and if you want something to happen you have to make it happen.

🍏: hes bisexual and questioning demisexuality, he learned of his bisexuality through being in denial of liking the same sex and being like. This is ruining my tough guy personality. This can’t be. but then it kept happening and he was like man fuck this whatever. what the hell sure. he became normal. he’s still figuring out the demisexuality, to put it simply he just doesnt want to engage in sexual acts with anyone unless he has a genuine connection to them. it also just feels better for him. sorry for airing out your business Anywayyyyyy. 🍐: he’s a nail biter its kinda gross sorry man. his nails are short always so i make him do short nail tasks since my nails are usually pretty long. i think he bounces his legs sometimes too. he knows i hate that shit thou so he tries not to. usually i just leave so he can shake all he wants. then hes like what wait no….

🥝: he would totally let me do his makeup. we’re both pretty lazy when it comes to makeup so we don’t so anything complex. i just do mascara and corner highlights and SOMETIMES lipstick and that’s it. #autistic i cant stand having too much shit ok my face. this isn’t even about me brah. he does simple makeup too since he’s just not super experienced. he just tries things sometimes but he’s not a professional. he just wants to look cool.

(sad puppy eyes). he likes when i call him mumu or honey. i calll him princess sometimes but its rare. princess is like his top pet name for me. meeooww. sometimes i call him Boss. thats For when. 🫑: he’s had a number of near death experiences so he’s pretty afraid of death. he has no lofty life goals. he just wants his family safe. wants to travel too and have good genuine relationships.

🥑: not super niche but cosmetics and nail art. he also likes cooking and insects and drawing. just things he grew to like from being around his family. or trying to distract himself from his own issues.

🍠: he likes to go to the beach and sit listening to the waves (same). he also likes to paint his or others nails when he’s bored. “gimme yer hands i wanna try sumn”. yknow.

🥔: he makes japanese curry a lot. easy to make in large portions for his 75million children. i like rice so he usually makes rice dishes for me. i don’t cook very often but when i do its cultural foods since he doesn’t know those recipes. he likes those. yom. he wants to learn baking but just hasn’t had the chance or motivation.

fabulous poodles – british 70s new wave band founded by comedian ronnie golden. they have sort of a parody 50s classic rock sound and, unsurprisingly, quite funny lyrics. i recommend bionic man

paul steel – singer/songwriter who does art pop/electronica, i recommend his concept album carousel kites, which is a sort of mid-century novel-style odyssey depicting the emotional journey of a young artist gaining independence and searching for identity (or just start with the song last guilt trip)

bicurious – punk band, kinda artsy and experimental but mostly these guys just bang and i cannot believe they're not more popular. start with i don't do drugs, i just sleep a lot

kills birds – also an artsy punk band, these guys are very ~critically acclaimed~. allegedly dave grohl is a fan if you still trust his taste lol. i certainly love the song volcano

jamie lenman – this guy is also an illustrator and has a fantastic moustache. he has several albums and i like them all but i think starting with the single i don't wanna be your friend really demonstrates why he is basically aggretsuko irl to me

oxymorrons – nu metal!!!! these guys rule, they're also all black and do not shy away from that in their lyrics. if u like linkin park you will probably be into them. as a matter of fact, they actually have a song with hyro the hero called mike shinoda flow all about how often they get compared to them lol. i also recommend justice sorry i couldn't just give these guys one song <3

dale hollow – country singer who recently opened for orville peck who's got a very stripped-back, old school sound and silly lyrics— he's a whole lot of fun. i recommend i'm a lover, but i'll still fight

zuzu - british pop/rock singer who just frankly makes bangers idk what else to say. her song get off is a little bit addictive

starmaxx - queer artist who also makes addctive pop/rock music lol. patient zero goes soooo hard i literally cannot exaggerate. i also recommend what a girl wants if ur more into pop punk
