On October 26, 1984, Gunther Stoll was discovered naked and severely injured in his car, which was found in a ditch and emitted the smell of alcohol. Initially presumed to be a result of a drunken driving accident, Stoll passed away while en route to the hospital. However, the autopsy revealed a sinister twist: Stoll had been run over before being placed back into his car.
Adding to the mystery was the discovery of a note beside Stoll, bearing the cryptic word “YOGTZE.” Despite extensive investigation, the meaning of this word remains elusive, as it does not correspond to any known language or decipherable code. Stoll had previously expressed concerns to his wife about unnamed individuals ("them") plotting against him. The day before his death, he cryptically exclaimed, "Now I get it!" before departing the house and leaving behind the enigmatic word.
Decades later, the circumstances surrounding Stoll's death and the meaning behind the perplexing note continue to baffle investigators and amateur sleuths alike, perpetuating the enduring mystery surrounding the case.

This was another movie that I watched thanks to Duncan and the TPUTS Collective show of Where to Begin with Giallo. This is an interesting giallo film that is mean spirited at the heart. It has some sleaze that I enjoy in this movie and we also get an Ennio Morricone score. This is a good giallo, but if you seen this one, what did you think?

soooo let's play which teams are calling daniel ricciardo:
can't be mercedes, ferrari, mclaren, redbull or alpha tauri
so it's 4 out of aston martin, alpine, alfa romeo, williams and haas
let's rank them by probability
aston martin was looking into a replacement for seb no doubt
alpine started calling his mobile, his whatsapp, his house phone and probably his mum yesterday at 2 am
alfa have a multi year with valtteri, but 1 year with zhou. if the espn article is to be believed and "Ricciardo [is] doing a significant amount of McLaren's commercial work behind the scenes", it's not impossible for him to be pulling an equal or greater amount of sponsors to offset his cost
williams are no longer struggling, but would love extra cash and someone talented for a change. so far they haven't announced latifi.
haas would love the most popular driver in america to drive for them, but unfortunately for haas they have kmag locked in and ferarri controlling the other seat
in conclusion, stoll the elder, otmar, vasseur and jost capito are lining up to suck his dick and gunther wishes he could join them

Iowa Season Recap + 2018-19 Preview

Gunther Stoll was a german man who died soon after being found naked and barely conscious in his wrecked car in the early hours of October 26th, 1984. He claimed that he’d been in the car with four other men who had beaten him and taken off before police got there. The medical examiner determined that Stoll had been ran over with a different car before being placed where he had been found.
That’s only one part of the strange story. Stoll was famously paranoid, and kept telling people that “they” were coming for him, without ever specifying who “they” were. On the evening prior to his death, he startled his wife by suddenly exclaiming “Now I’ve got it!” and leaving the house. In a piece of paper that was found next to him in the car, he scribbled either YOGTZE or YO6TZE. No one has been able to determine for sure what it means.
Before his death, Stoll went to a pub and left soon after, around 11 pm. Two hours later, he showed up at the house of an acquaintance saying that a terrible incident would happen soon.
At 3 am his car was spotted in a ditch by two truckers who alerted authorities. Although no one knows if the four men Stoll mentioned before dying existed or not, the truckers said they’d seen a man in a white jacket around the wreckage before they could get there, but he was never found either.

hey there’s this one case i’ve been trying to look up and can’t find it anywhere. it’s kind of like the somerton man where a man was found, and a code on a piece of paper was in his hand or pocket. people trying to crack the code have looked at the paper at all angles, thinking maybe it’s written in a foreign language. i wish i could remember more about it but please let me know if you remember the man’s name!! maybe you’ve posted it before, i’m not sure?
Hey! Yes, that’s the Yogtze case!

RAPID RECAP: Happel's fall caps Hawkeyes 34-7 Border Battle win over Minnesota
Mark Lundy Photo The Iowa Hawkeyes defeated the Minnesota Gophers in front of their home crowd 34-7, winning eight of ten matches against their rival to the north. Unsurprisingly the Gophers opted to draw for a starting weight in lieu of beginning the dual at 125 pounds. The upside was that meant that senior Brandon Sorensen got the opportunity to lead things off in what is one of the last…

On 26 October, 1984, a man called Gunther Stoll was discovered naked in his car, smelling of alcohol. The car was in a ditch and Stoll was severely injured. Initially, it appeared as though this was just a traffic accident - a drunk driver. Stoll died while on the way to the hospital. It was discovered during his autopsy that Stoll had been run over before being placed back into his car. Another bizarre aspect to the case was that a note was found beside the man which read “YOGTZE”. Over the years, nobody has been able to discover what this word could possibly mean as it isn’t a legitimate word in any language. It could possibly be an acronym or encryption, but if so, nobody has been able to crack it. Stoll had often spoken to his wife about “them” and how “they” intended to hurt him, and the day before Stoll died, he had declared to his wife: “Now I get it!” before writing down the strange word and leaving the house. The case and the meaning behind the bizarre note still remain a mystery and even to this day, people are still trying to solve it.
