M'Illumino d'Immenso is a short poem by #GuiseppeUngaretti wrote that ignited the title of this image. "On the edge of night I am filled with the light of immensity." When my dear departed patron saw this image upon my return from second stay in #Giverny, he commissioned it and I know it gave him pleasure to have its light immuminate his living space. I wrote that the sun was on its downward path on this last eve in #Monet's #Garden when I spotted this bloom against a back wall and behind it was a bed of orange snapdragons.
